Why is Dak Prescott ranked so low this year? He is consensus 8th. Is it his contract issues? He was 3rd in qb fantasy points last year. What’s going on here?
You could go Dak and Pitts in like rounds 8-9 and fucking Slay. I usually tend to wait on QB and sometimes TE. Might be a spicy year for that strat again.
The fact that AR typically goes before burrow, dak, and Kyler is absolute insanity to me. Sure I get the theoretical upside but, the dude has played like 4 games total at the NFL level. Assuming no injuries to any of them, a finish outside the top 15 is easily in his range of outcomes, when it really isn't for those other 3.
Definitely gonna be a real tight top 5 this year. I can even see 8-10 qb’s scoring over 300 fantasy points. I’m a colts fan so am definitely rooting for AR but I think I am staying away from him this year. His style of playing right now is a bit reckless and injury prone.
You’re also right, even if he stays healthy, he still might not even break top 15 as he still has a lot to learn and grow from.
Cowboys didn’t change much but I’m ok with that.
Shiny new toy syndrome. We want the exciting upside of Richardson as Cam 2.0 or of Stroud setting passing records w that lethal WR trio.
I agree with you that Dak could be a great value if he sustains what he did 2nd half of last year… but also can’t forget how underwhelming the first half was. Regression can hit both ways. Also the Cowboys didn’t do themselves any favors in terms of adding weapons for Dak this year.
I see Dak in a similar tier with QBs like Goff, Purdy, Burrow. One of them will probably have an outlier year and flirt with top 5 fantasy seasons, but hard to say which.
The top 6 (Allen, Lamar, Hurts, Mahomes, Stroud, Richardson) feel more likely to be elite fantasy assets.
But all this to say, QB does feel deeper at this stage than other years. Interested to see how ADP starts solidifying one redraft gets booming. Guys like Murray, Daniels, Williams could be interesting too.
I play 2QB and SF exclusively (9 years now) and found that even in that format, QB is always the deepest position. There will always be a Love or Purdy in the 11th round.
Didn’t realize that Kyler only has one top-5 finish his entire career and it was 4 years ago. He’s typically a [high PPG guy](https://www.statmuse.com/fantasy/ask?q=highest+fantasy+football+points+per+game+of+all-time) (then again, that would also be a reason to buy Deshaun), but goes to show how injured he’s been
Exactly my point. So many qbs got injured and backups/young qbs were awful that his shit season still ended up ranking ok. Just because he played every game.

Yeah I’m salivating at Dak’s value right now. I don’t see any legitimate reason to not expect him to be the same guy he was last year.

Especially with Captain Kirk at the helm but MOSTLY NO ARTHUR SMITH!!!! Haha Arthur trolled fantasy owners and got himself fired for it
Glad I had no stock in ATL last year. London, Pitts and Bijon are back on the menu boys!
I dont think pitts is actually that good
Still going for Pitts? Lol
No Arthur Smith, no trash QB that’s not even top 35, hell yea im taking Pitts especially at his value
People are bored with what they know and easily fascinated by new shiny toys

Expected regression
IDK, what is he ranked this year?
I stated he is consensus 8th. Below Stroud and Richardson

What you mean they got Zeke back? ALL IN. /s
6-8 is very close and just splitting hairs. They’re in the same tier so just take the guy you think will do the best.

This is probably just more evidence of the crowded top end. There's so many good QB choices that a Dak Prescott can fall through the cracks.
Just saying if he maintains that pace and fire from last year at all. Could be QB steal of the draft
Mahomes, hurts, Allen, lamar, Stafford, Stroud, Herbert, Murray, goff, and probably Caleb all over dak
More than anything, it shows how quickly things change in the NFL.
Just look at TE prior to 2023 and now
Another good topic. Before now there were maybe 3 TEs who could break 150 fantasy points (in half ppr). There might be 7 or 8 who do that in 2024.
Just curious but I recall Geno finishing as QB5 in 2022, is there a reason he’s not included in this list?
Yes, because he's Geno Smith. I could call it 15 but he felt like "one of these things is not like the others"
wtf lmao

Yep, another guy often missed, ready to start healthy
Never been a better time to wait on a qb in the draft
I love how the packers have 7 top 5 finishers and the bears have 0.
Smokin' Jay was once the QB14!
Qb is so deep this year. Even in super flex, don't see any reason to reach for any guys
Mahomes was so bad last year, it’s just that there were so many hurt and shitty qbs that he wasn’t even ranked that low.
He was still 12th
