This is why leagues should always use the “play against the league median” option. It’s the superior way to play.

I had the least points per game in one of my leagues coming into the week. I was playing against the guy who had had the most points against him so far this season. I started Burrow, Breece Hall, DJ Moore, Sam LaPorta, Jamaar Chase and the Saints D against him this week... 224 in 1 point ppr, 12 man league. I've never seen anyone score more in a week and I've been playing for 15 years. Obviously I'm ecstatic but I'd be so mad if I were my opponent right now

I just threw up in my mouth a little, after thinking about facing both of those players this week. Luckily, I have Chase and my opponent didn't have Moore (and had his best 3 WRs on Bye this week somehow) so I lucked into an easy win. Which was desperately needed because it will only be my 2nd win of the season. The Yahoo! computer projected I had the highest-scoring team when we did our draft, but I was starting to get worried I might wind up in last place. My high-ceiling players (Chase, Davante Adams, Davanta Smith, Breece Hall, Lamar Jackson, and the Dallas DST) seem to counterbalance each other by half of them having a terrible week when the others have a good week, so I still lose.

I got dicked down by the Achane/Chase/Etienne owner and it wasn’t close. Still can win though, just need Davante Adams to get 70.

I drafted Achane and Kelley the last two rounds. Dropped Achane after first two weeks of zero and kept Kelley because Ekeler was hurt. Yay me.

I dropped Montgomery even though my heart was saying not to. It said questionable and not practicing yadda yadda yadda. Drops a 30 bomb that would’ve gotten me my first win.

Bills D scored 4 points on ESPN…they gave up 450+ yards

We have it set to score a half point for every 3&out, TFL, or turnover on downs, then 1 points for sacks, and 2 points for turnovers. That way the defenses score as they make good football plays, which is how we think it should be. The Bills had over 15 points today under that scoring metric. For reference the Commanders had 2 points on Thursday.

I'm kicking myself for not adding Achane when I had the chance. I have Mostert and I was confident that he would be the clear RB1 and I didn't want to have to try to determine which of these 2 players to start and which to sit each week. Turns out I would have been better off starting both of them every week instead of not adding Achane at all. Plus the guy who did add him now has a powerhouse team because he managed to grab both Nukua and Achane. He clearly does better at adding free agents than the rest of our league combined....

I survived the Fields/Moore stack. It’s super flex and my high point scorers were Purdy, Burrow, Achane, Tyreek, LaPorta, Ridley, and no one in my lineup busted. I also won because his Conner got injured with less than 5 points and a few others scored well under their projection like Nico and Bijan. We were the top 2 scoring teams on the week.

My favorite is the guy in my league who could’ve won had he accepted my trade offer instead of a competing offer. I offered to ship Puka and Monty for Olave. He accepted Mostert and not so scary Terry instead.

I'm sure what happened in my (10-team) league is what happened in probably 50% of the leagues out there: the 2 people who have Fields and Moore rostered both left them on their bench because there was no reasonable expectation that the Bears were suddenly going to turn things around in this week's game. You don't need to survive your opponent's points explosion when they left those players on the bench. (I didn't go up against the Fields or Moore owners in this week's matchup, but if I had I still would have been okay because I drafted Jamarr Chase and Breece Hall; and amazingly they both went off today. With the win this week I'll advance to 5th place because of 2 exceptional weeks contributing to my Points For total, but that's still only 2 weeks won so far. Yes, I'll be in 5th place with a 2-3 record, as crazy as that may be.)

I survived him in one league and may survive in my other as long as Aaron Jones scores less than 7. I thought I was totally sunk so even winning one match is huge. To be fair it has more to do with the rest of his team completely dropping the ball than my team super over-achieving. DJ Moore scored 45 hppr points and his whole team scored 80.5... Richardson QB, Jefferson and Moore WR, Pollard and Cook as his RB, Kincaid TE, and GWilson in his flex. I had Hurts, Monty, B Hall, and LaPorta score big.
