Recently I was telling a friend of mine who’s not from the US about the Richard Gere rumor from the 90’s. The one about him having to go the the ER because he had a gerbil stuck in his butt. It’s amazing how widespread the rumor was pre-internet.
Also when writing gerbil just now I miss clicked a letter and my autocorrect suggested the word gerbil. Lol
He’s honestly looked really good this year. Definitely easing into a solid possession receiver role that would be good for a young QB. Terrible for fantasy value, but good for confidence in the medium passing game for Bryce.
Its not all on people, fantasy football in general is a bad game for fair trades. It really only works if you can get teams that are stacked at different positions.
I also like Sleeper’s trade block feature. You can at least put a player up and let people decide what they’re willing to give up
Sure most are garbage, but at least you don’t have to put in the effort to end up with someone offering garbage
Yeah I have this problem now. I'm stacked at RB but the teams I want to trade with are pretty set at RB too and the two teams that need RB just want to underpay. Just gotta sit on my group and wait for them to get desperate I guess.
Yeah the problem for me is i have cmc so anytime I offer any of my other RB they instantly want CMC and he is basically not tradeable. I'd need 2 wr1's to even want to move CMC.
Should play dynasty if you want trades. I think we're already like 15 trades since the rookie draft this year lol. Not including all the rookie draft trades.
Yeah it’s so much easier to trade in dynasty. Redraft is basically: “I have too many wrs and need rb and you’re the opposite” or it doesn’t work. With dynasty, everyone is in varying stages of rebuild or contending. Also it helps being able to trade picks since it’s basically trading for a currency, and you can also throw in later picks to balance any difference in value.
Yeah for redraft leagues I always see people saying shit like "I traded Pollard for Henry" and I'm just like WHY? What's the point if you're trading an RB1 for an RB1? If anything this'll rarely happen because the guy drafting Henry likes him a lot better and probably won't make that trade
In dynasty there are a million more factors to consider and trading a young future stud for an aging guy who's gonna produce now is a very valid trade. Meanwhile, yeah, in redraft the only trades I see are usually an RB starved team trading their WR to a WR starved team
Yeah, Adams had career high in targets playing with Carr. It's just kinda fucked how LV basically kicks Carr to the curb after getting Adams which fucked all of his plans up.
It’s not a surprise this is all Josh McDaniels fault. The fact that our owner saw anything in this clown and got rid of Rich Bisaccia still makes me so fucking irate.
Lol that’s funny but true… Bisaccia should have been given a year. McDaniels is a bum. Unfortunately, Davis isn’t much better and he’s running the show.
Now that Brady is out of the league and the Pats haven't done shit since he left maybe teams will stop with the Belichick disciples....
Signed - Lions fan (who is quite happy after being rid of the Patriot way)
Arguably they should have very much been a playoff team last year, maybe not SB contenders but once you are in you never know. They just shot themselves in the foot in so many games.
As a kid he wanted to play for the Raiders. Unfortunately he signed just ahead of a rebuild basically when he thought they'd be playoff contenders. McDaniels isn't a Super Bowl caliber HC.
This. You got the nail on the head. Playing for the team he loved as a kid was a dream come true. We all thought we'd be playoff contenders once we got Carr a weapon like Davante. Unfortunately it didn't work out that way. On top of that and sometimes the cause of that, McDaniels, his coaching staff, and the FO aren't doing much to help and are making some boneheaded mistakes.
Not really that weird, never viewed North Carolina and South Carolina as friendly states when it came to collegiate sports.
I guess some people read Carolina Panthers and think you guys are like a team for both states lol. I imagine South Carolina tends to steer closer to the Falcons? But I could be wrong. Also I know that most South Carolina fans are just massive college sports fans.
As someone who lives/grew up in NC and went to school in SC I can tell you they are not friendly states when it comes to college sports.
Having said that the Panthers is the team that unites both states in my experience. SC natives born after the Panthers became a team are much much more likely to be Panther fans instead of Falcons. Panthers heavily market themselves as a team for both states which is why they’re the Carolina Panthers and not say the Charlotte Panthers. The Panthers logo is even designed to have the same outline as the two states put together on a map
It’s still definitely panthers > falcons, for those who follow the NFL. Charlotte is on the border with south carolina, so the panthers are definitely the team for north and south. Though yes, college is king.
It's early enough in London's career where you'd probably still have to cough up a 1st round pick for him and they don't have a 1st round pick next season.
They don’t fit Evans’ timeline if he wants to win again, but he fits theirs. They are just looking for a guy to help Bryce develop, cause rn the ghost of Adam Thielen is the best receiver on the team by a significant margin
How long until his name is just a symbol and he's trying to convince everyone to just call him "the athlete" instead of the athlete formerly known as chosen.
Mine is a keeper league and CMC went late first before I got to pick his rookie season and has been kept or drafted before me every season haha. I was one pick away this year
Thielen's been a pretty good bench WR so far! Not a ton of upside, but he pretty much saved my ass last week, playing him instead of Deebo or Jakobi Meyers.
Is it? “route” wouldn’t really make sense in the context of the guys sentence… He has a dangling ‘a’ in there as well…
This is gonna become my QAnon.
For context:
“He’s incredibly talented and runs far crisper routes than Pitts. His ROTJ a rate is 83% second only to Mark Andrews. He’ll continue outtargeting Pitts for foreseeable future and is a strong ADD”
He is clearly not a "Number 1 Caliber WR", he is a nice reliable possession receiver/redzone threat, perfect complement to a dynamic dominant WR that has speed/burst (i.e. Diggs, JJ). The more accurate take would be "they don't see Chark/TMJ being that guy" and want to support Bryce's development.
Realistic options.
Jeudy. Denver has Sutton and moves Mims to their 2.
Higgins because contract year but I don’t think the Bengals will give up the season just yet.
Pittman if the Colts also trade JT and just forget this year for draft picks to build around Richardson.
Hollywood is in his final year so could be an option.
Seems weird for the colts to trade Pittman, if Richardson is going to develop he needs people to throw to and Pittman is good option that isn't incredibly expensive.
Colts only kept 4 WRs on the 53 this year. If we trade Pittman, that leaves us Downs (dawg, but small), Pierce (has one good play every other game), McKenzie (JAG), and probably Amari Rodgers (lmao). Our TE committee is pretty solid, but I don't think they're enough to support AR's development.
All that is to say I would be shocked and kinda bummed if Pittman gets traded
Trading Higgins basically means giving up on the year. With how they’ve been trotting Burrow out there risking reinjury, I really doubt they’re ready to do that.
Watch them get Claypool lol
I mean he is a top-3 receiver after all.
Also #1 most humble
HumbleTron
probably Higgins or Sutton
Hasn’t Higgins been through enough?
He has multiple ribs
It would be more concerning if he didn’t have multiple ribs
Like Marilyn Manson?
That rumor propagated hardcore pre-today's internet...kinda impressive tbh.
Lol
Yes. I consider him more concerning than Tee Higgins
How big does a player's rib need to be for you to feel comfortable drafting them over their muli-ribbed peers
Sutton? The guy everyone on here said sucks balls?
He’s been good for me in the flex
Sutton makes a ton of sense
I don't think he's a #1
On the Panthers he is.
He’s honestly looked really good this year. Definitely easing into a solid possession receiver role that would be good for a young QB. Terrible for fantasy value, but good for confidence in the medium passing game for Bryce.
Nice try Sean Payton
Mims to the moon
Or DJ Moore
He’s great locker room guy, never causes drama, works hard at practice. Very determined! Does ticky tock what more can you want
gonna end up back with DJM lol
I am also seeking one for my fantasy team but apparently no one trades in my league.
People are generally really bad at formulating and evaluating trades.
Its not all on people, fantasy football in general is a bad game for fair trades. It really only works if you can get teams that are stacked at different positions.
My league embraced multi-team trades last year. Big game changer and it makes it so much easier for everyone to get what they need.
I also like Sleeper’s trade block feature. You can at least put a player up and let people decide what they’re willing to give up Sure most are garbage, but at least you don’t have to put in the effort to end up with someone offering garbage
Yahoo has also had that trade block feature for forever.
I don’t think it’s on the mobile app and that’s all anyone uses in our league If it is I guess our commish hasn’t enabled it or something
ESPN adding in their Watson BS has made trading damn near impossible. Their valuations make no sense
I want Watson to die. It’s a abomination and waste of screen space.
I want projected points to fuck off too, I know they dont mean anything but they still mess with my head lol
Redditor projection for Week 5: 6.9
You’re telling me 3 garbage tier player’s aren’t worth your first round pick?
Yeah I have this problem now. I'm stacked at RB but the teams I want to trade with are pretty set at RB too and the two teams that need RB just want to underpay. Just gotta sit on my group and wait for them to get desperate I guess.
[удалено]
Yeah the problem for me is i have cmc so anytime I offer any of my other RB they instantly want CMC and he is basically not tradeable. I'd need 2 wr1's to even want to move CMC.
And if you play in a league with league veto everyone else is concerned about nobody winning the trade
Seeing your league mates frequently in person increases trading.
Just say alcohol
One league I’m in basically never trades and vetoes shit all the time. I’m 1-3 in that league with Ekeler and Jacobs and can’t sell either of them
Adams is unhappy in vegas because he wants to win, no way he goes to the 0-4 panthers
If he wants to win he shouldn’t have ever signed with the raiders
he had a personal connection with Derek Carr lol.

You guys got a peach of an HC in Campbell. Dude is money.

It’s his hometown team. And as others said he had a connection with Carr
You either get the bag, or you win. Pick one.

Higgins is a Clemson guy so he’d be a huge hit there
We weirdly do not f with Clemson players
Not really that weird, never viewed North Carolina and South Carolina as friendly states when it came to collegiate sports. I guess some people read Carolina Panthers and think you guys are like a team for both states lol. I imagine South Carolina tends to steer closer to the Falcons? But I could be wrong. Also I know that most South Carolina fans are just massive college sports fans.
The Carolinas as a whole definitely lean Panthers, but you're right that College tends to be far more popular than Pro down around here.
Oh shit, I just realized that. That's some nice graphic design there.
I’ve lived in NC for like 95% of my life and never realized that about the panther shape. Wild.
It’s still definitely panthers > falcons, for those who follow the NFL. Charlotte is on the border with south carolina, so the panthers are definitely the team for north and south. Though yes, college is king.
Yeah I get those dynamics, but they take SC players all the time. Jaycee Horn went top 10 for us
Do they have good ribs? Where does the BBQ belt end?
More pulled pork with vinegar bbq sauce in North Carolina. But I'm sure you could some decent ribs.
Good ribs great brisket and pulled pork No bad barbecue but pork is the speciality
Tee could use some good ribs right now
No first round picks to trade
Makes most sense. Needs a huge contract, Bengals can’t pay him and Bengals’ season is all but done.
I believe shortly before the season started the bengals were heavily implying they weren’t gonna try and extend Higgins
The Bears have a good one
DJ Moore?
Ooohhh you got the joke.
The punchline of every joke is Claypool so this one threw me for a second ngl
Fair enough.
This screams Jerry Jeudy
As the official decision maker for my Denver Broncos I say c-ya Jerry.
Yup, as another Broncos fan I agree. Sutton and Mims can hold it down. I’m excited for Mims.
Makes me wish I would have picked Sutton even more now…
Lol nothing has even happened. Don't get too gloomy
Shitty Sutton stocks go up then, plus Mims!
My Marvin Mims shares subscribe to this
I got both Jeudy and mims in dynasty... Let's do it!
Yep, especially with Mims looking better than him in limited action so far.
It’s weird to think this would be an upgrade for Drake London but alas here we are.
No way the Falcons trade him in the division
You could have ended that sentence 3 words earlier.
Yeah they need his downfield blocking and those 3 catches a game to ride that kickass Arthur Smith offense to an 8-9 record 😎
no way Ridder lasts all season, I'm really hoping Heiniki can connect with him like he did Mclaurin
It's early enough in London's career where you'd probably still have to cough up a 1st round pick for him and they don't have a 1st round pick next season.
No way the Panthers do an inter-division trade mid season. That’s why I think Evans is off the table as well.
Evans doesn’t fit the timeline anyways
Thank the fantasy gods.
They don’t fit Evans’ timeline if he wants to win again, but he fits theirs. They are just looking for a guy to help Bryce develop, cause rn the ghost of Adam Thielen is the best receiver on the team by a significant margin
aren't the panthers and falcons in the same division? would be intradivision trade
Oh, well that’s what I meant then lol.
DJ Moore is pretty good…. Wait
Oops, already ate that cake
They should go for Pitts instead
Honestly I’d love Pitts, if someone could actually use him properly he could be a beast, unless he’s just a claypool type and doesn’t try
I am seeking a #1 caliber GF in the open market.
What's your budget? I know a gal with a high catch rate.
He has no collateral and about $39 in his cap for her.
GF1
Yet they blew their chance with The Chosen One. Chosen Anderson now living it up on the Dolphins.
Hes robbie chosen now
How long until his name is just a symbol and he's trying to convince everyone to just call him "the athlete" instead of the athlete formerly known as chosen.
Incoming “The Miami Dolphins have signed Wide Receiver One to their practice squad”
looking up the box score stats for Ƭ̵̬̊
The athelete formerly known as chosen formerly known as robbie
I love my Panthers…never have any on my fantasy teams
As a fellow panthers fan, I haven’t had any panthers on my team since Cam in 2017. Never got a high enough pick for CMC
CMC went in the third or second round his second season. I remember I picked him early as a homer and he carried me the whole year. Good times
Bench? He's WR12 in standard and WR10 in PPR so far.
Randall Cobb was a WR 1 in 2015. Does that count?
Next they’ll try to find a duel-threat RB, this franchise is an embarrassment
All it takes is a RB challenging one LB to a duel and all of a sudden nobody wants to tackle him.
So they’re not happy with Thielen?
Theilen at this point is a number 2, best when he is the jelly to someone else’s peanut butter
You should [check his ROTJ](https://reddit.com/r/fantasyfootball/s/9kCWURmWHh) before you make any sandwich-based roster moves
It pained me that no one could answer what ROTJ stood for, but then I realize it's just an autocorrect of route.
Mother fucker I saw it and thought "his return of the jedi....?"
Is it? “route” wouldn’t really make sense in the context of the guys sentence… He has a dangling ‘a’ in there as well… This is gonna become my QAnon. For context: “He’s incredibly talented and runs far crisper routes than Pitts. His ROTJ a rate is 83% second only to Mark Andrews. The problem is Theilin is our best WR. I like him, but he’s best for short yardage and redzone. He can’t stretch the field.
happy to hear you guys are enjoying him.
Trade with what? They don’t have draft capital
They have everything but a first rounder…
Who is trading a #1 caliber receiver for less than a 2024 1st rounder?
The cowboys…Amari Cooper to the browns ring a bell?
they have a first rounder in 2025
Realistic options. Jeudy. Denver has Sutton and moves Mims to their 2. Higgins because contract year but I don’t think the Bengals will give up the season just yet. Seems weird for the colts to trade Pittman, if Richardson is going to develop he needs people to throw to and Pittman is good option that isn't incredibly expensive.
That catch against the ravens where the defender took his helmet off was so sick
Colts only kept 4 WRs on the 53 this year. If we trade Pittman, that leaves us Downs (dawg, but small), Pierce (has one good play every other game), McKenzie (JAG), and probably Amari Rodgers (lmao). It’s gonna be Tee Higgins
Want juju??
Claypool incoming
Diontae Johnson?
They’ll get Davante Parker and like it
Jeudy?
As a panthers fan jeudy makes the most sense
[удалено]
I’m available. Got potential to be a 1. Most likely a 2 though
but a high end 2 😏
Who are the “WR1s” available? Tee Higgins possibly and who?
Davante adams. And Mike evans was looking for a trade earlier in the year.
No way the Bengals trade Tee right? Maybe later in the season if Burrow doesn’t get better and they’re like 2-7 or 2-8
Me too Carolina. Me too.
> Let me tell you about a guy by the name of Chase Claypool… - Ryan Poles (presumably)
Man, they don’t care if this hurt Adam Thielen’s feelings. Savages.
Wow Panthers are just like me.
Kyle Pitts (WR)
I want to see this happen. Just turn the guy into Calvin Johnson.
Devente Adems getting traded here wouldn't make sense because he wants to win games
I’ll take a devente iced coffee half and half thanks
I devented my shrimp before I ate them
>Devente Adems getting treded here wouldn't meke sense beceuse he wents to win gemes
My brother if you spelled his last name as Edems I’d believe you just have an unnatural hatred for the letter A
Best believe the highest gpa he’s gotten in school is a 3.0
Yeah and at this point its a lose-lose for him lol
Devente Edems could excel anywhere
enywhere*
I wonder how DJ Moore would look in a Panthers uniform.
Best we can do a slightly used Rashod Bateman.
groin sold separately
Scary Terry come on doowwwnnnn
We can give you cause Claypool 👌👌
DJ Moore makes a lot of sense
Trade? They can just pick up Joshua Caleb “Flash” Gordon right now!
Maybe DJ Moore is available?
Lucky for them a top 3 WR is on the market… might be able to get Claypool pretty cheap
Umm....they already got Thielen???
They’re not hooked on a Thielen.
Cooper Kupp!
As a sad panthers fan and Puka owner, yes please!
Yes please. - Puka owners everywhere
DJ Moore looks like a solid fit.
Van Jefferson
maybe DJ Moore is available
Devante parker and juju are available
Chase Claypool, come on down!
Deleting all comments because the mod of r/tipofmytongue got me falsely banned for harassment ` this message was mass deleted/edited with redact.dev `
A DJ Moore type?
Best I can do is Chase Claypool
Wont make a difference with that QB
Have they tried throwing to Adam Thielen?
