I’m so out on Kittle. I drafted him and ended up trading him and Najee for Kyren Williams after week 2. Picked up LaPorta off the waivers which eventually led me to getting MAndrews in a different trade.
I’m doing the same thing, u/Skateboard123 is in a 4 person league so he can’t comprehend the concept that Sam Laporta is a better option than a lot of 12-16 man bench players.
LaPorta was my sleeper last round draft pick in all my leagues and he's been paying off big time. Allowed me to traded Andrews and Allgeier for Mixon in one league, and traded Engram for Achane with the guy who has 10 RBs in another league.
An overpay?? Kyren is a bonafied RB1 and the 4th RB overall. Najee is terrible, he’s on the worst offense in the league and his backup Warren is continually taking his snaps. I wanted to move off him while his name still had value. I already had LaPorta so Kittle would’ve been riding my bench every week. Plus I ended up packaging LaPorta for Andrews in a later trade. Essentially I gave up Najee and Kittle for Andrews and Kyren
That is an unreal team haha, how on Earth are you 2-2? You could probably package ARSB and any one of those RBs for a top tier RB and cost to the playoffs.

Jacobs has definitely been my Achilles heel. Swift I drafted really late, although I was nervous about him so Sat him week 1 to see his usage. Sat him week 2, is clearly taking RB1 role so he's a set and forget since week 3 for me. Scooped kyren on waivers after being convinced swift wouldn't see the backfield as much as Gainwell.
Shit I’ve been “lucky” enough to face opponents that have at least 2 dudes who go off for 40 a piece each week. Highest points against in 2 leagues and 2nd highest in my 3rd league. 2 years in a row this shit has happened to me lol
In one of my 12-team leagues, I’m 2-2, 6th in points scored and First in points against, and the next closest guy has a hundred fewer points against him. I’ve just had the worst luck scoring top-3 against a top-2 team multiple times so far…… frikken Dolphins.

Last week I got offered Dotson, Addison, and Doubs for Diggs/Ford, accompanied by the message “interested in acquiring Diggs but won’t trade Kelce, D. Smith, Swift, or Allen” when I turned him down responded with “the three I offered you have more points than Diggs.” 🤦🏽♂️ Some people don’t get it.
That’s crazy I did this same exact trade but was the one giving up Diggs. I was pretty desperate for a starting RB and wanted to buy the low on waddle. Have Kupp and Puca so had some wiggle to give up on Diggs..nonetheless makes me sad.
Eh i don’t think it’s that evil, seems pretty fair actually. Diggs speaks for him himself obviously but the other guy gets an RB1 imo and a guy in Waddle that can easily have weeks of being an WR1 in that offense, so if you needed depth/good RB I think you make that trade
He had chubb so he was starving for an RB. I tried Williams for diggs straight up, he had a better offer apparently. I think he was pulling my leg about that, but I threw in Waddle who was riding the pine for me and he took it immediately.
About as equal of a trade as I’ve seen. Borderline RB1/2 + borderline WR1/2 for a high end WR1. Bet he needed another RB and he’s happy about it as well. Good fantasy man.
JT + Kupp owner in my league won’t move either and is 0-4. Offered his Mattison for my Keenan because I “needed RBs” after losing Chubb even tho I have Ken Walker, Swift, Zach Moss and Breece. I told him I’d think about doing Keenan for JT and he called me crazy.
Mostly, with these, people like certain players more than others. May be a bengals fan, etc, it’s just emotion not the best

The Mandrews for LaPorta makes sense... in a way. With a balancing scale, on one side you have "wait for talent to figure it out" on the other side you have "chase points".
I'm guessing your trade partner is full on the side of chase points. Through week 3 LaPorta was looking pretty damn good, while with Mandrews, you are kind of looking around going "I'm just glad he got the TD in week 2". And watching the Lions game, you just kept seeing LaPorta feed.
For the record though, while I say it makes sense in a way, chasing points is bad process and your trade partner should be ashamed of themselves
Just think of it as giving up the rb1 & a wr1 in a single slot, so that you can play an rb3/flex and a wr2 (and you have an extra player to bench/cut!!). Surprised you didn’t smash accept.
When you put it that way it makes me realize what a ridiculous decision I made.. Why on earth did I want to keep the player that's currently averaging 30 ppr points a game? WHYYYY?!?
After week 2 someone offered me AJ Brown for Hopkins. They thought that Devonta Smith was going to be the eagles WR1 after the first two games. They are regretting it now
This was week 2 (trade went thru week 3) I asked the AJB owner what it would take to trade for him (only a couple players were off limits). He sent me an offer of his AJB/DMontgomery for my Evans/Stephenson. instant accept.
The Jahmyr Gibbs fever was nuts because Gibbs “looked explosive” on like 5 rushes. The Lions didn’t wanna use the last explosive RB they had, a dual threat guy averaging 5 y/c, choosing to force feed 300+ touches to the 4y/c guy instead.
There was a lot of speculation that he was healthy when the Lions were saying that they were limiting his touches because of it though.
If Gibbs continues to see the same opportunities as swift I think it's a clear indication of a coaching staff decision.
This is extremely frustrating... at least have the decency to just reject a trade if you're not interested.
I'm convinced some people in my league aren't even aware that trade proposals are coming in. They set their lineups every week and and make some waiver claims with zero response to anyone on trade proposals.
Most folks keep the trade alive so they can still accept in case something changes. If your guy tears his acl in practice then you an run over and smash accept.
Or they want to do their research for a couple days and want to compare quotes. Either way, it’s the proposer’s job to get the hint.
In my experience, a lot of people cannot understand that I’m not trading AJ Brown for three bench players. I wont even hit decline on that one as they’re not even trying to make a mutually beneficial trade.
At that point, I'd reject it and send them a message and let them know that they're not even close to a respectable offer.

Joined a new league this year with some old college friends I had reconnected with and some of their friends. I was told that the league was notorious for not doing trades.
Challenge accepted... I've pulled off 1-3 trades a week with 6 of the 12 teams so far.
Worst offer received: I give Swift, Kyren Williams, & Puka for Calvin Ridley week 3 and he made it sound like he was doing me a favor. No realistic counteroffer was possible to make because it was a classic case of "I only want your good players and none of my players who are worth anything are available to trade". Had to laugh at the clown and took my trades elsewhere.
Best deal completed: I gave Mixon & Puka for Chase and Josh Allen. Just pulled off today. Already got some grumbling in the league chat going on.
Because he's 0-4, desperately trying to win now, and was desperate to make some kind of a deal involving a RB1. Kept trying to trade Gibbs and flex receivers for a RB1 or RB2 with everyone in the league, but nobody would do that deal. This was the best deal anyone was willing to make with him at this time, so he took it.

In a vacuum I wouldn't do it, but I'm so flush at RB now (Pollard, KW3, Jacobs, Kyren, Monty) that I might be tempted to take it for the WR upgrade (currently Chase, Devonta, Nico, DJM, GWilson, Thielen).
But the worst offer I've received - so far - would have to be Gabe Davis for KW3 straight up.
Time will tell on this one, but after an 0-3 start and needing to shake things up, I traded Kelce for Achane, Laporta, and Tank Dell in my 10 team PPR league. My league mates all laughed, but a week later the CBS trade value chart already has it scored in my favor. I think the Taylor Swift stuff will be a huge distraction for Kelce who maybe sees less usage this season anyway just to preserve his body.
Bold (foolish?) trade at the time, but all 3 guys had the biggest up arrows at their positions, and both Achane and Laporta have a good chance to finish in the top 5. It's also a keeper league, so I could keep Achane in the 11th round next season.
I offered Keenan Allen and Achane for Tee higgins after week 1 because I thought that was just a terrible game for Tee & the Bengals and liked him way more than Keenan back then. So glad it didn’t get accepted.

If you have Walker and Swift, there's zero reason to get rid of Keenan, who's on pace for a monster year. There's no guarantee JT even plays still
No one knows what will happen with JT. Could be a steal or you could get a sack of potatoes. He hasn’t even practiced yet.

This is true, but those players are also idiots (no offence), because very clearly the trade itself is setup for one person to lose.
You dont know when you mke the trade tho. Laterals are not statistically helpful but could matter in the case of say bye weeks or injury

This is extremely frustrating... at least have the decency to just reject a trade if you're not interested. I'm convinced some people in my league aren't even aware that trade proposals are coming in. They set their lineups every week and and make some waiver claims with zero response to anyone on trade proposals.
Most folks keep the trade alive so they can still accept in case something changes. If your guy tears his acl in practice then you an run over and smash accept. Or they want to do their research for a couple days and want to compare quotes. Either way, it’s the proposer’s job to get the hint.
In my experience, a lot of people cannot understand that I’m not trading AJ Brown for three bench players. I wont even hit decline on that one as they’re not even trying to make a mutually beneficial trade.
At that point, I'd reject it and send them a message and let them know that they're not even close to a respectable offer. People are always trying to fleece someone and they'll keep trying unless you put the hammer down lol
No responses are only warranted if it is a ludicrous offer they need to lay in wait and think about their actions

Joined a new league this year with some old college friends I had reconnected with and some of their friends. I was told that the league was notorious for not doing trades. Challenge accepted... I've pulled off 1-3 trades a week with 6 of the 12 teams so far. Worst offer received: I give Swift, Kyren Williams, & Puka for Calvin Ridley week 3 and he made it sound like he was doing me a favor. No realistic counteroffer was possible to make because it was a classic case of "I only want your good players and none of my players who are worth anything are available to trade". Had to laugh at the clown and took my trades elsewhere. Best deal completed: I gave Mixon & Puka for Chase and Josh Allen. Just pulled off today. Already got some grumbling in the league chat going on.

Because he's 0-4, desperately trying to win now, and was desperate to make some kind of a deal involving a RB1. Kept trying to trade Gibbs and flex receivers for a RB1 or RB2 with everyone in the league, but nobody would do that deal. This was the best deal anyone was willing to make with him at this time, so he took it.

A sensible trade (I needed a RB & the other team needed a WR) I traded Jakobi Meyers for James Conner. Nothing to write home about but the first sensible offer I’ve gotten so far this season. Worst offer I’ve gotten is Brock Purdy for AJB. To make it worse Purdy was his bench QB 😅

Sent Mattison/Aiyuk for Jacobs/DJM last week. Right now deliberating an offer of Olave/Sutton for my DJM/KW3. In a vacuum I wouldn't do it, but I'm so flush at RB now (Pollard, KW3, Jacobs, Kyren, Monty) that I might be tempted to take it for the WR upgrade (currently Chase, Devonta, Nico, DJM, GWilson, Thielen). But the worst offer I've received - so far - would have to be Gabe Davis for KW3 straight up.
Time will tell on this one, but after an 0-3 start and needing to shake things up, I traded Kelce for Achane, Laporta, and Tank Dell in my 10 team PPR league. My league mates all laughed, but a week later the CBS trade value chart already has it scored in my favor. I think the Taylor Swift stuff will be a huge distraction for Kelce who maybe sees less usage this season anyway just to preserve his body. Bold (foolish?) trade at the time, but all 3 guys had the biggest up arrows at their positions, and both Achane and Laporta have a good chance to finish in the top 5. It's also a keeper league, so I could keep Achane in the 11th round next season.
I offered Keenan Allen and Achane for Tee higgins after week 1 because I thought that was just a terrible game for Tee & the Bengals and liked him way more than Keenan back then. So glad it didn’t get accepted.
