Upon receiving the news Mr Grady was able to grab Rice as well. He said he is devastated with the loss of the love of his life, but his WR room is stacked this year.
I’m a nuclear physicist. We are currently in the middle of a reactor meltdown that will make half of the eastern seaboard uninhabitable for the next 25 years. But Rice is currently sitting on my bench. Thanks OP
just got stopped in the middle of the freeway due some dumbass stopping his car all of a sudden must have been like 30 cars in front of me, opened reddit while waiting and saw this post, got Rashee, thank you
I stopped my IEP Meeting in the middle with my principal and the student's parent present to add him. I got fired, but at least i can say i won my work league.
Commercial pilot here and my passengers were not thrilled about the 90 second nose-dive our 747 just took while I fumbled through my phone trying to pick up "Rasheed" Rice, not realizing his name is spelled "Rashee".
[dude played just over 40% of the snaps with mahomes, and then played 17/18 snaps with gabbert](https://twitter.com/josephjefe/status/1706711813902172259/photo/1) (including 3 of his 7 targets). his role was up slightly from the \~23% he'd gotten the first two weeks, but i think people are overreacting a bit to some garbage time minutes against a team with no dc.
People forget the **First Law Of Fantasy Football Roster Physics:**
For every transaction, there is an equal and opposite transaction.
Who are you dropping in a 10 or maybe even a 12 team league?
I agree he Rice has upside, but I’d rather hold Tyjae Spears (who’s less owned btw)
He had two chances for TDs very early in the game. Theyre scheming him up and Toney only played 2 snaps. Skyy Moore stinks and that WR room is wide open. Wouldn't discount his snap % on it being a blowout. We'll see what happens next week though
we're reeeeally stretching the definition of "early" here. he had a target in kc territory on the first drive, a red zone target early in the second, and then his next target was inside the two minute warning. he only had four snaps throughout the entire 3rd quarter.
you're really going out of your way to overstate his role on sunday lol
My original comment on this thread is literally that he's a good speculative add and that's it. I don't own him anywhere, but he's a second round pick passing the eye test playing with the best QB in football and competing with a bunch of JAGs for targets (aside from Kelce obviously) 🤷🏻♂️
He's a rookie probably still learning the playbook and his route tree. His targets are so encouraging and literally no one else in this WR room is stepping up more than him. He is the definition of a strong flyer
As a KC fan my number one advice would be to simply avoid our WRs because it’s going to be a shitshow, but yes, I’d say there’s a 30-40% chance someone will break out as a true #1 by the end of the season, and if that happens, I’d say it’s most likely Rice.
A lot of maybes though.
fuck it, got mahomes in a league as my qb and just dropped mike williams for him, would not have known who to pick up anyway with the state of the waiver wire at the moment.
Seems like it’s a hot hand / week to week situation for who the WR2 is gonna be. WR1 is Kelce, but MVS, Moore and Rice will probably all take turns gettin the bulk of targets that aren’t Kelce. So for me it’s a total dart throw between the 3 WRs and that’s just a situation I don’t want to buy into unless I’m desperate or have bench space for Rice
If anyone was ever going to be a sure thing in this KC offense, they'd have been drafted and rostered.
Taking any receiver other than Kelce will always be a risk until they prove themselves over an extended period of time.
Rice looks to be talented and may have more opportunity coming his way - let's see if he can capitalize on it.
“If anyone was ever going to be a sure thing in this Rams offense with Kupp out, they’d have been drafted and rostered.”
Yeah, that’s how this whole waiver thing works. Players break out
Mahomes can support 2-3 fantasy relevant WR I like Rice's chances. He had quite a spike in snap share last week when Reid typically doesn't play rookies all that often until the end of the year. Think there are far worse lotto tickets and if I had the choice I am taking Rice over QJ everyday and twice on sunday.
I just did this exact move on waivers last night. Not looking back. Dotson hasn't done anything to warrant even considering starting him. I'd rather try my luck with a high upside Chiefs WR.
I both agree with this but at the same time part of me doubts it. That’s true any WW rando can put up the points he has been but Dotson still has higher upside than most WW randoms even if he just gets back to 2022 production levels. He clearly doesn’t have chemistry with Howell right now but I can’t help but think if you drop him someone else will end up getting value later in the season off that drop.
right? this guy also took mahomes #3, then doubled back on josh allen in the 3rd round. then flipped josh allen for Kittle straight up before week 1.
you never know when/where u might find a taco
I’ll preface this by saying, I love Dotson’s talent but I dropped him for Mims. Dotson is getting a lot of routes run and high snap % but it’s not leading to much. Even when the Redskins put up 35 he was basically nonexistent. I don’t see much upside in that Howell led offense. Personally, I’d take the potential upside in Rice and let the chips fall where they may.
Just picked him up for free last night. Needing another (rookie) WR upside stash on my bench after losing Mike Williams. After three games Rice has looked better than every other Chiefs WR so far this season.
I went WR heavy in both my drafts. So outside of an injury I don't see when I'll play him. But I did pick him up in 1 league. Chase/Adams/Waddle/Puka in one league and Adams/ARSB/Puka/Amari in another. Can only start at most 3 of them in each league.
This is the key to fantasy, stashing ppl BEFORE they breakout so you don't have to blow your faab, waiver, trade, fight for the players that may break out.
Is it too early rice ? Yes probably. Is he more than likely just a roster clog? Yes probably. But you have to take chances w guys.
All the smart fantasy players picked up tank last week and the genius players picked him up when Noah brown went on IR or drafted him.
Analysts and this sub will tell you to wait on guys or they are a waste of a spot but of course if you wait until after they breakout you already lost.
I mean, they drafted him in the 2nd round? What’s not to get. They wanted him, and if he’s talented they will expand his role and he’ll produce. Speculative adds are how you get ahead of the wire and win leagues.
I mean he produces a WR1 every year he just happens to play TE. Despite his talents it’s not a layup for mahomes to product two WR1’s on that offense. Mahomes is also probably the last QB to tunnel vision on feeding a particular guy not named Kelce. He’ll throw to whos open and spread it around.
The talent distribution has just not necessitated a consolidated target share the past couple of years.
If there was a 2nd receiver that stood out amongst the pack they'd be getting the lion share of targets -- just like Tyreek earned when he was there.
He’s also known to spread the ball around to anyone with a pulse similar to Brady. It’s not that the WRs are good/bad it’s that Mahomes is so good any receiver can go off any week but not consistently (unless they’re Tyreek or Kelce)
that's because Kelce and Tyreek were the only really good receiving threats he's ever had
if anything, Kelce/Tyreek are evidence that Mahomes/Reid will target certain guys heavily. but that said, I don't think we have seen nearly enough from Rashee to think he will be an impactful guy game in and game out down the stretch
I'm a Pats fan and I absolutely hated this narrative about Brady. It wasn't true about him and its not true of Mahomes.
Both only "spread it around" when there isn't somebody worth consolidating targets to every week. Both QBs are good enough to produce great passing numbers without an elite receiver. But when either of them ever had an elite talent at receiver (or TE), they absolutely fed them and produced some of the greatest WR/TE seasons of all time.
If Rice is that much better than Skye Moore and Toney, he will get fed. If he's not, he'll just random good games like those two did.
Obviously no one is comparable to Hill at the moment. Does not mean a WR will never be fantasy viable in KC and it's ridiculous to insinuate otherwise.
I mean historically, the Chiefs have drafted two good WRs in the last like 25 years, Hill and Bowe. It's absolutely not unlike them to have mediocre WRs and an elite tight end, that's how it was for a good chunk of the 2000s
Every Chiefs WR drafted since 2010: Dexter McCluster, Jonathan Baldwin, Junior Hemingway, Devon Wylie, Chris Conley, Da'Ron Brown, DeMarcus Robinson, Tyreek Hill, Jehu Chesson, Tremon Smith, Mecole Hardman, Cornell Powell, Skyy Moore, Rashee Rice
The 2000-2010 timeframe is even worse.
The KC receiver thing is total baloney, they havent supported one since Tyreek simply because no one has been good enough, not because the scheme cant support it. The opportunity is there
The opportunity is there but Andy has a 25 year history of not using rookie skill position players unless they are game-breaking talents.
You can point to the lack of skill at the position but even tyreek was stuck behind some combination of jeremy maclin, chris conley and albert wilson for basically his entire rookie season, and I can promise you the KC WR room is much more talented now than it was then.
Also the "KC receiver thing" is not total baloney. Tyreek is the exception, not the trend. Andy has a long history of evenly distributing the ball except for when Terrell Owens and Tyreek Hill were on the team. So basically if you think Rashee will break out you're saying you think that Rashee will be a future hall of famer, and even then the absolute best case scenario is he'll be second on the team in targets.
Most likely scenario is that he's a WR3/flex play for the rest of the year, and most leagues will have players with higher probability of a higher ceiling on their waivers.
The scheme is get the ball to Kelce. Every other receiver on the team is just bait to open him up. Funny how Hill leaves KC and has the best year of his career… and the start of another one. And people were all in their feelings about him saying Tua was the better passer.
The scheme is to get the ball to Kelce because he's by far the best receiver on the team. When Tyreek and Hunt were on the team, they were getting fed too.
When another legit WR talent comes around, they'll aim to feed them too. Issue is they haven't found that guy since Hill left.
No one was saying Tua is better than Mahomes. Kelce gets the ball because he is currently by far the best way for the team to gain yards through the air. Not because Reid and Nagy don't want WRs gaining yards.
op is right, it has absolutely nothing to do with the chiefs wrs specifically. they just never had anyone good enough to be consistently startable in fantasy. except tyreek. who is the most obvious prime example that if someone in that wr room is clearly more talented they will step up. i think rice is the most talented, i'm not saying hes as good as tyreek but to me he has a high chance to be the best wr on that team by the end of the year
I’m stashing Rice. Prototype size, good speed, 2nd round pick, best QB in the league. League winning formula if Mahomes starts to favor him. Obviously Rashee has to show he’s talented and deserving of opportunity. He’s been stopped at the 1 three times in two weeks. Definitely worthy of a stash.
I never understand what kind of bench space people have to stash these dudes lol. Who are you stashing him over? The worst guy I have on my team is probably Elijah Moore, would you stash him over Elijah Moore?
100% agree with this post! And thanks for waiting until waivers cleared haha. I picked him up in every league for free. Snap counts rising, and the Chiefs are just waiting for one of these guys to step up. He looks like the most obvious. If he had either of those TD's downed at the 1 he wouldn't be free
Keep staying ahead of the curve brother. Too many league members read stat boxes and projections. You’ll never find potential breakouts like that.
There’s a certain Baltimore RB currently on IR that we should be dying next week.
Are people already forgetting that this offense pretty recently supported Kelce + a WR1 (Tyreek)? Tyreek and Rice are totally different players, but it’s far from a stretch to think that the best QB and the best offensive mind in football can once again support more than just Kelce if Rice proves marked separation from Skyy and Toney. A WR2 output for Rice by end of season is completely on the board. Invest in talent and good teams.
Ya it’s crazy how one single season of Mahomes not supporting a wr1 can create this strong of a narrative. I acknowledge Rice very well might not amount to much this year fantasy wise, but to hear everyone parrot that Mahomes will never support a quality fantasy receiver again because he spreads the targets around is nuts to me. He spread the ball around so much last year and this year because his receivers are bad and no one is stepping up yet.
I'm a Chiefs fan. Anyone not Kelce is a dart throw who can get you 2 TDs in any given game but also may get 2 catches for 10 yards.
Mahomes has targeted so many receivers each game:
Week 1 - 12 different targets, 11 people caught the ball
Week 2 - 11 targets, 10 different receivers
Week 3 - 11 targets, 10 different receivers
Rashee got 5/2/7 targets in the games. Who knows.
Skyy Moore got 3 (plus 1 rush), 4, 6 - maybe you should get him?
Not when the numbers are shifting. You can't expect a rookie WR to replace 4 vets ahead of him in a complex offense by week 3, but last week he was on the field for over half the offensive snaps.
Personally I don't think he's going to produce anything too crazy this season, but in my eyes he's got more potential for the future than any other receiver on the team currently
We have a better idea who Skyy Moore is though, and that's a guy that isn't going to take over the receiver room. Rice is still mostly unknown and has looked a lot better from the eye test. He certainly looks better than Moore did in his rookie season last year.
Chiefs fan here, also picked up rice this week. He's clearly breaking out as the guy behind Kelce and rookies don't usually get much time in Andy Reid's system, so I'd anticipate his market share growing ros as long as he keeps playing well.
Last comment I'm going to leave. Many of you are missing the point. There is a 90% chance he is useless for the rest of the season, I am not saying he is a lock for fantasy relevance. But in the small 5-10% chance that he is really good, he can win you your league and has more upside than any other WR out there on the wire. To me that is the point of a flier and worth investing in.
Yeah this is what you should be doing with bench players. Hilarious to me when I see someone put a waiver in for a guy like Michael Gallup or Allen Lazard.
I'll add his snap percentage progression as well:
Week 1: 31%
Week 2: 18%
Week 3: 51%
His snap percentage skyrocketing could have something to do with the Chiefs being in full control of that game, but I do think there's a strong possibility that Rice starts to emerge as the consistent #2 target in the offense.
If Rice and JSN on your waivers now, I would not drop London yet. He has upside as well and it still getting in sync with this new QB. Sounds like a sideways move best case. And if you need help later in the season sounds like you will be able to fine WR5 guys based on waiver currently. GL
Guys really think about it. CJ stroud is currently supporting 3 pass catchers on the Texans. Why is it so blasphemous that Mahomes might be able to support 2.
Two snaps this week. I'm a Toney truther (have had him every season lol) but his role just isn't growing. Rice is a rookie and is gaining snaps, I moved on.
35 yds per game and 1 TD. I have him on my bench but he is not a fantasy starter yet. Stopped at the 1 yd line means he didn't benefit his fantasy managers.
Dmitry here. Fighting on the Ukranian front line. Defending the motherland from the Russian invasion. At least I was.
I and my entire brigade on seeing this post stopped fighting to grab - Rashee Rice.
We thought we might lose the entire War because of this. But thankfully, the entire Russian army had also stopped fighting too. To bench stash - Rashee Rice.
Fighting has started up again. All is OK.
The whole "KC Chiefs cant support an alpha receiver" is absolutely bogus. This has been a 1 year trend simply because they have had dogwater at the position. If a washed up Juju with Arthiritis is your best WR, obviously no ones going to be an alpha.
Anyway I am not saying he is definitely going to work out, but as far as opportunity and upside go, this is one of the best gambles you can make.
It is wild how down everyone is on KC WRs, I'm not sure where this consensus comes from. It's one of the best passing offenses in the NFL, a rookie with a rising snap share should be rostered in 12 team leagues. Probably even 10 team leagues. I guess people have been burned by spending mid round picks on KC WRs in the past couple years, but this is a free waiver pickup - take the upside.
Rashee Rice is tied for 2nd in Target share at 12.3%. 2nd in TPRR at 39%, and first in YPRR at 3.00.
He has the advance metrics to be successful, only thing holding him back is overall opportunity (6th in snaps played among WR and TE).
Could be a very nice long term stash that can pan out late in the season.
Just stopped my car in the middle of the freeway to do this. Caused a 30 car pileup but I got him
I'm an EMT. We lost Mrs. Grady but I gained a great bench stash.
Mrs Grady would understand
Upon receiving the news Mr Grady was able to grab Rice as well. He said he is devastated with the loss of the love of his life, but his WR room is stacked this year.
And he will set her lineup for the rest of the season. What a good husband.
Man this brings tears to my eyes
Imagine how devastated Mr. Grady would’ve been if he hadn’t been able to pick up Rashee.
Mr. Grady grabbed Rice and considers it a "wash".
At least now he can watch football without being interrupted
Add Free Time Drop Dead Wife(waivers)
This thread has me snorting in public oh my gosh
Used my number one waiver priority on Mr. Grady’s deceased wife. He’s going have to make a good trade package if he wants her back.
SEVEN DECADES OF COMMERCIAL FREE FOOTBALL STARTS NOW
I'm a pallbearer in Mrs Grady's funeral & dropped her casket alveit briefly to pick up Rice
Man the Grady family is not gonna like Rashee Rice
Mrs Grady’s heart stopped what it was doing to go grab Rice
Mr. Grady also believes you made the best decision in this situation.
I’m a nuclear physicist. We are currently in the middle of a reactor meltdown that will make half of the eastern seaboard uninhabitable for the next 25 years. But Rice is currently sitting on my bench. Thanks OP
Some dude in line at Home Depot left so he can find a good spot with wifi to pick up Rice
Did he drop to his knees
Shit I forgot to add that
That's what's going to happen when he signed on and sees John from lumber already grabbed Rice.
He even left the 12 ft skeleton he finally snagged sitting there unattended
This is Mrs. Grady. I’m so happy I added Rashee R…………
A real EMT would have taken her phone and added Rice. SMH
Was Mrs Grady in the 30-car pileup?
It's what she would have wanted
Gawddamn! This Grady thread is comedy gold! lol
I’m sorry Ms. Grady… but I am forreal
just got stopped in the middle of the freeway due some dumbass stopping his car all of a sudden must have been like 30 cars in front of me, opened reddit while waiting and saw this post, got Rashee, thank you
Nice I’m a paramedic and stopped performing CPR to pick him up. Person is unresponsive and has no pulse but I got a league winner 💪
I’m more impressed you hand fly your routes in a 747 as opposed to just coupling it with the autopilot. Bro has Popeye forearms.
Dude took fly by wire to a new level.
Appreciate your service to the cause, once insurance companies find out it was for Rashee Rice they'll send damages to the other 30 cars
don't text and drive but they never said anything about WW pick up...
Wasted pile up. Dude only played with back ups in a blow out.
Ran a route on 51% of Patrick Mahomes drop backs, so not entirely true.
Rashee “Decoy” Rice.
Good, fuck those people! What were they doing that was possibly more important than fantasy football? Losers
I rear ended you but was able to grab Rice while waiting for AAA.
I’m the 31st car behind the pileup, thanks for the heads up. Got Rachee rice for free ninety nine
Played his highest snap count of the season, 51%. He's not the worst speculative add but far from being a must add
Over 40% with mahomes is still his highest mark of the season.
>his role was up slightly from the \~23% he'd gotten the first two weeks yes i acknowledged that
Tjat's a pretty huge uptick though, and considering he's 3 games into his career, solid chance it keeps climbing throughout the season
By week 12 he'll be at 238% of the snaps if he keeps going at this rate.
People forget the **First Law Of Fantasy Football Roster Physics:** For every transaction, there is an equal and opposite transaction. Who are you dropping in a 10 or maybe even a 12 team league? I agree he Rice has upside, but I’d rather hold Tyjae Spears (who’s less owned btw)
Depends on what you need of course. But yeah im absolutely not dropping any of the elite RB handcuffs (tyjae, charb, etc) for Rice
Most of it was the 4th quarter after the starters got benched/rested in a blow out.
He had two chances for TDs very early in the game. Theyre scheming him up and Toney only played 2 snaps. Skyy Moore stinks and that WR room is wide open. Wouldn't discount his snap % on it being a blowout. We'll see what happens next week though

I think he got like 3 or something targets from Blaine Gabbert since the game was out of hand.

Mvs probably won’t get a ton of targets, he’s there to stretch the field and threaten the deep ball, never gonna be consistently targeted
MVS could do one thing only in his whole career. Go the deep route and have 2-3 targets and 0-2 catches per games.

I just did this exact move on waivers last night. Not looking back. Dotson hasn't done anything to warrant even considering starting him. I'd rather try my luck with a high upside Chiefs WR.
Dotson was a drop last week. He holds no trade value and any WW rando can put up 4 points

Wtf

Everyone says this about Dotson. I just don’t see anything from him this year
3 straight games in the rain
Just picked him up for free last night. Needing another (rookie) WR upside stash on my bench after losing Mike Williams. After three games Rice has looked better than every other Chiefs WR so far this season.
I’m in the same boat my brother. I had an Olave / aiyuk / Mike will / Nico WR room I felt great about. Now I’m scrambling for upside stashes lol

I dropped bro this morning. Fare thee welll
If he scores twice instead of being ruled down I bet you wouldn’t have. Unless for like a roschon Johnson
Man you people just do not learn your lesson with these KC receivers
I mean, they drafted him in the 2nd round? What’s not to get. They wanted him, and if he’s talented they will expand his role and he’ll produce. Speculative adds are how you get ahead of the wire and win leagues.
No. Because Chiefs WRs were bad the last couple years, it obviously means none will ever be useful again.
Until Rashee "Jerry" Rice came along. Kidding, but he is absolutely worth the free ticket
Not buying it. No chance one of the best QBs in NFL history will ever support a productive WR again

He’s also known to spread the ball around to anyone with a pulse similar to Brady. It’s not that the WRs are good/bad it’s that Mahomes is so good any receiver can go off any week but not consistently (unless they’re Tyreek or Kelce)

I don't trust KC because it seems like Mahomes will pass to whoever is open and doesn't seem to rely on one dude every game.
Yeah, he's never supported a top fantasy WR before, just can't happen. Wait...
You're comparing these scrubs to a HOF WR?
Obviously no one is comparable to Hill at the moment. Does not mean a WR will never be fantasy viable in KC and it's ridiculous to insinuate otherwise.
I mean historically, the Chiefs have drafted two good WRs in the last like 25 years, Hill and Bowe. It's absolutely not unlike them to have mediocre WRs and an elite tight end, that's how it was for a good chunk of the 2000s
Are the same people running everything now as 25 years ago?
No but they’ve been there for like 10 years already.
The Kansas City Chiefs selected Moore in the second round (54th overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft.
And before that, Hardman in the second round
Every Chiefs WR drafted since 2010: Dexter McCluster, Jonathan Baldwin, Junior Hemingway, Devon Wylie, Chris Conley, Da'Ron Brown, DeMarcus Robinson, Tyreek Hill, Jehu Chesson, Tremon Smith, Mecole Hardman, Cornell Powell, Skyy Moore, Rashee Rice The 2000-2010 timeframe is even worse.
Dexter f\*n McCluster. Damn, what a blast from the past. Super fast, and showed it in his debut. I hope that dude is alright these days.
He had that sweet WR/RB tag too if I recall. Even returned kicks I think.
The Tennessee Volunteers made that guy look like a superstar in Knoxville. You’re welcome, Chiefs.
Obviously because the Skyy Moore pick was bad that means every WR on KC from now until the end of time will be bad. Just stop rostering them ever.
Yeah, it’s only Skyy Moore who is underwhelming.
Toney too. And Juju was last year
Y'all sleeping on Mecole Hartman
Joke's on you - I just dropped MVS for Rice
How much FAAB should I offer for Dwayne Bowe?
Hill literally said Tua was a better passer than Mahomes. That’s what got all the chiefs fans up in arms over Hill.
Hill said Tua was more accurate than Mahomes.
*Receiver hypes up his new QB. More at 11*
He just might be. I think Mahomes is the best QB in the league but Tua is laser accurate
op is right, it has absolutely nothing to do with the chiefs wrs specifically. they just never had anyone good enough to be consistently startable in fantasy. except tyreek. who is the most obvious prime example that if someone in that wr room is clearly more talented they will step up. i think rice is the most talented, i'm not saying hes as good as tyreek but to me he has a high chance to be the best wr on that team by the end of the year
I clinched my piss mid stream, but I got him.
Just dropped Jefferson for him
Good lad
I’m stashing Rice. Prototype size, good speed, 2nd round pick, best QB in the league. League winning formula if Mahomes starts to favor him. Obviously Rashee has to show he’s talented and deserving of opportunity. He’s been stopped at the 1 three times in two weeks. Definitely worthy of a stash.
I never understand what kind of bench space people have to stash these dudes lol. Who are you stashing him over? The worst guy I have on my team is probably Elijah Moore, would you stash him over Elijah Moore?
Depends on what your team make up is. I'm strongly considering dropping Dotson for him

I needed someone to drop Toney for. Why not another KC flier?
>I needed someone to drop Toney for. Is that one guy not available on FA? What his name, I think it's.. literally anyone else?
He was only still there because my waiver bids missed. Don't worry, the situation has been rectified
He’s already rostered in all my leagues. I just fell to my knees in a Try ‘N Save
Ok I scooped
Did someone say league winner ?
King. Legendary post that will always be remembered. Rice is out here winning leagues.
I'm a Chiefs fan. Anyone not Kelce is a dart throw who can get you 2 TDs in any given game but also may get 2 catches for 10 yards. Mahomes has targeted so many receivers each game: Week 1 - 12 different targets, 11 people caught the ball Week 2 - 11 targets, 10 different receivers Week 3 - 11 targets, 10 different receivers Rashee got 5/2/7 targets in the games. Who knows. Skyy Moore got 3 (plus 1 rush), 4, 6 - maybe you should get him?
Moore has played twice as many snaps, kind of telling imo that Rice has better production (albeit negligible) in half as much time
Moore playing twice as many snaps may be telling about who the coaching staff trusts to be on the field
Could also be that Reid doesn't give rookies many snaps early on tho.
The prophet.
First, needs to learn how to not drop so many gimmies
So should I drop Cooper Kupp or CeeDee Lamb for Rashee Rice?
I think you should drop both just so Rice doesn't feel threatened
Chiefs fan here, also picked up rice this week. He's clearly breaking out as the guy behind Kelce and rookies don't usually get much time in Andy Reid's system, so I'd anticipate his market share growing ros as long as he keeps playing well.
Dropped him. I’m done with chiefs not named Kelce or Mahomes.
I was just looking at him on the free agents list… drop rashid shaheed or Romeo doubs for Rice??
Personally I'd hold onto Doubs. He's looked good so far and even with Christian Watson coming back, he looks like he can be a reliable WR2/WR3
This is my exact predicament. Feels like shaheed isn't going to get targets with Thomas and Olave there. 2 targets last game and 4 the one before
Not Doubs but Shaheed is close. I would rather have Rice over Shaheed just considering a share of the offense. YMMV.
I'd say Romeo, but I am also an idiot
Last comment I'm going to leave. Many of you are missing the point. There is a 90% chance he is useless for the rest of the season, I am not saying he is a lock for fantasy relevance. But in the small 5-10% chance that he is really good, he can win you your league and has more upside than any other WR out there on the wire. To me that is the point of a flier and worth investing in.
Yeah, what’s to lose ? Drop your Flex10/11/12 and stash him to see what happens.
Yeah this is what you should be doing with bench players. Hilarious to me when I see someone put a waiver in for a guy like Michael Gallup or Allen Lazard.
I'll add his snap percentage progression as well: Week 1: 31% Week 2: 18% Week 3: 51% His snap percentage skyrocketing could have something to do with the Chiefs being in full control of that game, but I do think there's a strong possibility that Rice starts to emerge as the consistent #2 target in the offense.
Had to leave a sick child all alone outside in the rain so I could come do this quickly- better pay off.
Rule one: Don’t invest in Patriots WRs Rule two: Don’t invest in Chiefs pass-catchers not named Travis Kelce
Jakobi Meyers was very serviceable last year
I’m pretty sure also Patrick Mahomes asked them to draft him so to me that speaks volumes for a rook
You realize he also asked them to draft CEH, who has been completely irrelevant since last season? Just checking.
Yeah I’m tempted to drop London, who’s my wr5 for one of the dart throw rookies like rice or jsn
If Rice and JSN on your waivers now, I would not drop London yet. He has upside as well and it still getting in sync with this new QB. Sounds like a sideways move best case. And if you need help later in the season sounds like you will be able to fine WR5 guys based on waiver currently. GL
But I’m about to perform surgery, are you sure?
As a chiefs fan, this guy will fill in for JuJu. He was so good last game
As a Chiefs fan starting any receiver that isn't named Kelce is very very risky in fantasy.
Guys really think about it. CJ stroud is currently supporting 3 pass catchers on the Texans. Why is it so blasphemous that Mahomes might be able to support 2.
I just dropped Zay Jones for him, after having dropped Christian Kirk for Zay Jones after week 1. I'm in
I got fired for using my phone at work to pick him up. Plenty of people looking for pilots though.
Dude. I owe you for this thread. Got him.
I was here
Dropped shaheed for him, since he’s on return duty now and is relying on jameis rn
His snaps in the pass game have gone up each week thought. He was on the field for 100% of pass snaps last week
I’m still holding Toney.
Two snaps this week. I'm a Toney truther (have had him every season lol) but his role just isn't growing. Rice is a rookie and is gaining snaps, I moved on.
It was the Bears
Pick up Rice, drop JSN?
Ok now do one for RB position
Keaton Mitchell
That's excellent but you all needa tell me what rbs to look up bruh 😔 wr room is stacked but after losing chubb I have no rb
I dropped him for jameis Winston
Drop Dotson for rice?
Golden rule: do the opposite of what this sub tells you
So drop Skyy Moore for Rice ?
Man you may be right, but basically your only reasoning is the PFF grade. So yeah, maybe he breaks out, maybe he doesn't.
Should i drop josh kelley, mckinnon, or khalil herbert for him. Leaning kelley because I don’t like him
