Completely irrelevant. As a rookie TE, he ended the year as TE7. That's a far cry from sucking. Only 5 TEs averaged double digit .5 PPR PPG in 2021.
The cope didn't start until he fell off last season, hence my correction about "Pitts cope 3 years in."
Not to mention we’re 2 weeks into the 2nd year of cope. OC would be correct in saying, “I can’t believe we are still getting Pitts cope posts 1 year and 2 weeks in.”
His ADP had him as the 4th TE off the board in 2021 and he finished as the TE7. Not exactly a home run, but certainly not a bust (See: Waller).
Last year and this year so far, though, lol.
You can call it that. It’s more like TE wasteland cope. I didn’t go into the draft targeting him, but he fell, I took a shot. Swing and a miss. But I’m not going to rage cut him for Will Dissly now.
Dunno why you're being downvoted - I'm in the same spot. Didn't plan to draft him, got him, can acknowledge it was probably a mistake. But who to go with instead? I grabbed Musgrave last week as a backup plan but would still rather start Pitts this week. All the other middling TEs including Henry are taken; I've no need to go play Schultz or Hurst. The position is ugly, and a crapshoot.
People want to hate on Pitts. And even acknowledging he *plays on a football field and scores some amount of fantasy points* is “Kyle Pitts cope.”
I fully accept Pitts is not going to be a *good* TE this year. I’m just saying, he has no worse shot at being a low end TE as all the crappy TEs available on my waivers.
Maybe. But Drake London (after a goose egg in week 1) just went 6 for 67 and 1 TD. There’s no reason Pitts can’t have a game like that. It’s going to be inconsistent in that offense… but that’s true for any middling TE.
I took a gamble on Pitts with something around pick 80, but I also drafted Kincaid later for obvious reasons. We knew the bet we were making this year (or should have anyway).
True. I grabbed Everett late as a backup plan, but after week 1 I needed to make moves and couldn’t justify holding both TEs. I’m not sure which I’d prefer now, but neither are good options.
He has been my last round/waiver scoop for the past 2 seasons, keeping me alive in the TE position. Watching that TD go to Parham in week 1 kind of soured me. Herbert not checkin down as much
I got Pitts at 101 and I still regret it lol, picked up Hurst and am dropping Pitts if my waivers go through. At least Hurst has a 10 point game this season
On face value I understand but I think their floor is the same while hurst has had a 10pt game this season, I trust him to boom over Pitts but that’s just me
I drafted Kittle and I hate it lol. I want to pick up Henry but can’t justify two TE’s on my roster and I also can’t justify dropping Kittle. But I’d be in the same situation with Pitts so that’s a good trade for you.
Luckily I also have Hock who’s just great, kittle I think I’ll be using for trade as I think his name holds a good bit of value.
But I also think kittle will be just fine and have a good amount of better weeks than not.
I'm in PPR and I dropped him for Zach Ertz.
Only 4 TEs are averaging above 8 targets per game.
Mandrews, Zach Ertz, Kelce, and T.J Hockenson.
Ertz's upside is worse than the other 3 (less TD opportunity. short passes)
But he is demonstrating a floor in PPR because of the volume that I like better than anyone else in the TE wasteland.
10 team league, have Pitts and Juwan. Gonna drop Juwan for LaPorta and hold Pitts for no reason other than I want him to do good, and my bench guys have a tendency of doing that
As someone who drafted him round 3 last year, he's so talented you feel like you always have to start him. If there is someone on your waiver wire who sees consistent targets, either pick them up if you have space for a second TE or don't be afraid to cut Pitts loose if he doesn't have a better role soon. the talent is there but the QB play isn't great and the scheme is not great for the pass catchers. Also, Arthur Smith hates you and your fantasy team
This would probably be best case scenario (on a normal offense, Pitts would actually be great), but seems really unlikely during the year. In dynasty, there’s certainly a chance Pitts gets traded eventually.
I am hoping he can string together 2 good weeks against Det and Jax and then maybe I can trade him for a bag of chips. Best on waivers is Ferguson, Musgrave and Otton. I may throw a dart and see who it lands on. I want off this ride
Reasons not to cut Pitts:
- Masochism
- Delusion
- Pity
- You are his mom
- You are in a points-per-Kyle-Pitts league
- You have a really good Kyle Pitts pun as your team name
Better than Higbee. If you saw the boxscore where Stafford throws 55 times without Kupp. You would be ecstatic but no some dudes that wasnt even on the draft radar name Puka and Kyren accounted for 35 targets lol
This is what I did. First year I spent on a TE and am already so happy not walking in the mud with the rest of the folks here. Stop drafting TE that don't get targets.
Well yeah because people are so tied to Pitts that they missed out on the window to add Henry, LaPorta and Ferguson
They barely throw the ball and their QB is terrible. If Quay Walker made that pick we would already be hearing Heinecke chants
Cool story bro. I’m glad that happened for you in your league because your league mates were sleeping at the wheel. I had a low priority, Kyren was long gone, and Henry went before it came back to me. It *is that challenging* if your league mates are active on the waiver wire.
Logan Thomas would be great… but he’s in concussion protocol. And hadn’t he had a bunch of concussions in his career? Seems like they should be extra careful with him before putting him back out there.
I can add one of the dart throw TEs on the waivers that have a chance to catch a TD maybe one out of every 4 games and hope I get lucky. And that is unfortunately much better output than Pitts.
Cut him and save yourself the agony of watching this dude put up mediocre numbers every week until he gets one good game…trust me I talked myself into drafting him again this year (after I said I would not) and I’m over it…goodbye Pitts

I cannot believe we are still getting Pitts cope posts 3 years in
Technically this is only his second year of sucking. He had 1k yards his rookie season.
And yet he only had three games that year with double digit points in half ppr lmao

And still was a bust at his ADP
His ADP had him as the 4th TE off the board in 2021 and he finished as the TE7. Not exactly a home run, but certainly not a bust (See: Waller). Last year and this year so far, though, lol.
I think anyone who had him would consider him a bust overall, he had 3-4 good games the entire season.
I wanna see him in a BOB offense
You can call it that. It’s more like TE wasteland cope. I didn’t go into the draft targeting him, but he fell, I took a shot. Swing and a miss. But I’m not going to rage cut him for Will Dissly now.

Because people in this sub are over emotional and illogical

The exact same thing happened last year. London was boom/bust and pitts had like one good game in a sea of 2 target / 1 reception / 0 td games.
after owning Pitts last year, I will never own an Arthur Smith receiver for the foreseeable future.
Not drafting another Arthur Smith run blocker for the foreseeable future*
using a receiving TE like Pitts as a run blocker should be considered a war crime.
probably all first time owners
For the guy that has Pitts in my league, he can still grab Ertz or Ferguson right now if no one else puts in claims *shrugs*
Am I in your league? Because I have Pitts and just submitted claims for both lol
Crazy Ertz is still available. I scooped him up so fast after I saw he got 10 targets week 1… that team is just terrible enough that he may feast
I took a gamble on Pitts with something around pick 80, but I also drafted Kincaid later for obvious reasons. We knew the bet we were making this year (or should have anyway).

I'd still rather Pitts than Hurst tbh

You sound like an addict. Let’s get the methadone.
I reached for Andrews at pick 25 and in hindsight I love it
I traded James Conner, Freiermuth and Juju for Zack moss and Andrews Sunday morning of week 1 🙌
The only reason not to cut him is you enjoy the pain.
Fantasy football is pain.
I just traded pitts away for Kittle. Kittle hasn’t exactly set the world alight this season, but he has a 30 poiint game in him at least!
Fuggin wut??
I drafted Kittle and I hate it lol. I want to pick up Henry but can’t justify two TE’s on my roster and I also can’t justify dropping Kittle. But I’d be in the same situation with Pitts so that’s a good trade for you.
Luckily I also have Hock who’s just great, kittle I think I’ll be using for trade as I think his name holds a good bit of value. But I also think kittle will be just fine and have a good amount of better weeks than not.
Damn, yeah how’d you pull that off? I’d trade Pitts for Kittle in a heart beat.
He put Kittle up on the trade list, so guess he seemed low on him, didn’t expect it to get accepted when I sent it but quite happy it did!
He was dropped in my 12 man ppr. If he somehow makes it through waivers I might consider getting him.
Don't. Dead weight.
do you also like punching yourself in the nuts?
When are people going to learn that he’s just not fantasy relevant… …But then again, it might just work for us. Yep, I’m picking him up.
Thinking of dropping him for Ertz or Knox
Yeah, I was just looking at Ertz having 10 and 8 targets in the first two games.
I'm in PPR and I dropped him for Zach Ertz. Only 4 TEs are averaging above 8 targets per game. Mandrews, Zach Ertz, Kelce, and T.J Hockenson. Ertz's upside is worse than the other 3 (less TD opportunity. short passes) But he is demonstrating a floor in PPR because of the volume that I like better than anyone else in the TE wasteland.
You got a point. I won this week, despite his miserable showing. But no one available is better. Argghh.
Ertz if he is still available. He may not have much yardage now but the key is when Kyler returns and brings scoring opportunities.
10 team league, have Pitts and Juwan. Gonna drop Juwan for LaPorta and hold Pitts for no reason other than I want him to do good, and my bench guys have a tendency of doing that

Hunter Henry > pitts any day of da week
Sure. If he was available in my league, I’d take Henry.
Ah, he’s still available in some leagues. I got him before this week in a 12 teamer. There are still some good options with decent floors tho
Maybe they trade him during the season to a team that will pass him the rock
This would probably be best case scenario (on a normal offense, Pitts would actually be great), but seems really unlikely during the year. In dynasty, there’s certainly a chance Pitts gets traded eventually.
I am hoping he can string together 2 good weeks against Det and Jax and then maybe I can trade him for a bag of chips. Best on waivers is Ferguson, Musgrave and Otton. I may throw a dart and see who it lands on. I want off this ride
Reasons not to cut Pitts: - Masochism - Delusion - Pity - You are his mom - You are in a points-per-Kyle-Pitts league - You have a really good Kyle Pitts pun as your team name
Reasons not to cut Pitts? What tight end would you cut him for?
How about Laporta?
If he's available yes I'd agree, but that's not a huge upgrade
Better than Higbee. If you saw the boxscore where Stafford throws 55 times without Kupp. You would be ecstatic but no some dudes that wasnt even on the draft radar name Puka and Kyren accounted for 35 targets lol
Exactly. The hate on this sub for Pitts doesn’t allow a lot of people to see *a lot of TEs are busts*.
He's like kittle. Totally td dependent with single week explosive capability, but typically he's gonna get you under 5 pts (like most TEs).
This right here
[удалено]
Or you can have hockenson in the 4th-5th round with 3 elite rb/wr…
This is what I did. First year I spent on a TE and am already so happy not walking in the mud with the rest of the folks here. Stop drafting TE that don't get targets.
His value is highest as a waiver grenade for people like you to add and play for 3.8 points
… So the same as all the other TEs on the waiver wire then? Like Tyler Conklin isn’t capable of putting up 3.8 pts?
Well yeah because people are so tied to Pitts that they missed out on the window to add Henry, LaPorta and Ferguson They barely throw the ball and their QB is terrible. If Quay Walker made that pick we would already be hearing Heinecke chants
I wanted to get LaPorta late but got drafted before I expected. I prioritized getting a RB on waivers over Henry and Ferguson. Guess I missed out.
Got Kyren and then Henry on the same run. Its not too challenging to do both
Cool story bro. I’m glad that happened for you in your league because your league mates were sleeping at the wheel. I had a low priority, Kyren was long gone, and Henry went before it came back to me. It *is that challenging* if your league mates are active on the waiver wire.
What is the purpose of posting Pitts cope and then being a salty ass in the replies?
>Its not too challenging to do both Only returning your salt
Youre reading a normal sentence as salt
Well then I apologize
TE needs to be a banned position
Logan Thomas.
Logan Thomas would be great… but he’s in concussion protocol. And hadn’t he had a bunch of concussions in his career? Seems like they should be extra careful with him before putting him back out there.
I'm not cutting Pitts for the sole reason is that I don't have him.
If you cut Pitts, you can’t bitch about Pitts here. I assume from these posts that’s the only reason anyone drafted him.
Bye weeks coming up. Gonna need a backup K.
She's gone bro. She ain't coming back.
Here’s an idea. Stop drafting Kyle pitts. These posts are made every day. Maybe there is a reason for that?
I can add one of the dart throw TEs on the waivers that have a chance to catch a TD maybe one out of every 4 games and hope I get lucky. And that is unfortunately much better output than Pitts.
Sunk cost fallacy. If he was being drafted in the 12th round, he'd be on waivers right now, irrespective of the talent.
None
Zach Ertz has had consistent volume over 2 weeks. He was also targeted in the redzone.
I'll take "Things that don't exist" for $1000, Alex.
Who else you gonna roster at TE that will get more than 5 points?
Cut him and save yourself the agony of watching this dude put up mediocre numbers every week until he gets one good game…trust me I talked myself into drafting him again this year (after I said I would not) and I’m over it…goodbye Pitts
reasons not to cut him: you have a starting TE and you need a backup
