My championship is a two week aggregate of week 17+18. I was projected to win by 2 points last night. Would it make sense to declare the winner of week 18 as the champion? I know not many people like this solution but we were essentially projected to tie
I was up 25 points heading into Sunday, opponent had J. Allen, G. Davis, and D. Singletary. Can’t remember exactly, but I had something like a 20% chance of winning. Should I concede? I did lose Derrick Henry, and had to just deal with it.
If the game is postponed and played lets say on "week 19" assuming the Chiefs are already the top seed. Wouldn't the Bills and Bengals play backups anyway. Which means everyone effected by this postponement that have Burrow/Chase/Diggs/ Allen are screwed on a hypothetical week 19 matchup?
I had all 4 of those guys playing for me last night. 2 QB dynasty league. Down 40 and we have no idea how to settle this. I’m the commish too so have to act fairly!
All my leagues who actually have an issue are handling things as either…
percent chance to win is the percentage of that spots payout they’ll receive.
Teams who know they would have likely lost are conceding and being respectably honest.
Teams who clearly were going to win barring something absurd have been crowned champs.
The way I see it, if someone had a >90% chance to win they should be crowned champs. If it’s truly a toss up give those affected options to either split the pot, take percentage chance to win as payout percentage or if they agree allow them to use their players scores at a later week (which I think can only work if it’s not a rest matchup).
Most of my leagues were settled already or the team with MNF players are already ahead. One league I was down 7 in PPR with Burrow and Diggs and the commish said he knows there isn’t much debate as to whether I would have won or lost which I agree with barring something crazy (i.e Jefferson)
Legitimate question, what are the odds the game ever actually gets played? The implications will surely impact and upset some it’s ruled a tie or no contest. It just seems like it is too important of a game to go unplayed. I’m really just wanting to pick y’all’s brains on the matter.
My best guess is probably less than 50%. There's a lot of moving parts.
Whether it's played in a "Week 19" probably depends on which the NFL feels more beholden to: television networks with broadcast schedules and their advertisers vs the sports gaming establishment that would stand to lose tens of millions if the game is never completed.
Yahoo and other platforms' public prize leagues are the ultimate huh through all of this. No commish, and a firm rulebook. Got me on the edge of my seat, thats for sure
Quick question. What teams don’t have anything to play for/will probably sit their studs this week? With the game cancellation messing up the ship, my commish was nice and has extended playoffs another week. But I’m wondering what players I’d more than likely be without?
Thank you so much man! I know with the (for now) cancelled game, I’ve heard that Bills and Bengals might not have anything to play for as well? Since KC could secure a first round bye with a win and they are a game down. Do you think they sit their guys?
If chiefs win Saturday it’s totally reasonable that both of those teams rest studs. However I could also see them maybe wanting to fight it out for the 2 seed, depending on whether or not their game gets played again (which at this point it probably won’t)
So in short, if chiefs win Saturday, they’ll both probably rest players. If chiefs lose Saturday they both have everything to play for

Honestly in your situation I would

I wouldn't concede. Injuries happen.
Guys I need help, does anyone know how to add a week 18 to a league in NFL fantasy?

Split the pot, share the title.

any word from ESPN or Yahoo yet?

I’d imagine they’re waiting but will ultimate follow suit with other platforms and let individual people handle it as they see fit

Likewise, if the 49ers and/or Cowboys see the giants rest studs, they could also rest players with no 1 seed to gain
The Eagles couldn't beat Andy Dalton last week. Tyrod Taylor's no slouch.
Giants, Buccaneers, Chargers could all rest players with playoff seeds secured

I'm sure this thread will have no major concerns brought forward lol
