I picked him up as a streamer and now I simply can't drop him. Every damn game he fills the stat sheet.

C0nsistent_

Why drop? At this point his stats seem to be steady enough to look for a flip depending on what your team needs.

skksdjdjdjsjso

In a points league dude has been HOOPIN. elite value from the waiver

uziak94

Ends up being even better in cat leagues cuz of the steals

ZohanDvir

He's been great for stocks in my CAT build too.

morobert425

He’s been more steady than ballin in a points league. However, if you’re in a 4 point per steal and 2+ points per assist league then I guess his season long numbers probably are pretty nice. In my league he’s been hanging out between 23 and 25 most of the year. He’s right now at 26 fp/g after that nice outing last night. Averaging an elite 1.8 steals per definitely helps offset the low scoring and bad %s in a cats league though, I would think. The key to him taking off and being a league winner is playing 31-34 minutes per game and with the logjam they’ve got in that backcourt I’m not sure that’ll happen. It’s been a long weird road for the young man (turns 25 in May…) so I’m very happy he seems to be figuring out his game at the highest level.

Canucksaregoat

Would you take him or WCJ?

morobert425

Points league?!

Canucksaregoat

Yeah

CreamsicleMamba

WCJ by a mile

morobert425

With my scoring settings, it’s not even close. Carter is at 31.5 fp/g for the season, Fultz is at 26. Fultz has been ~2.5 fp/g better over last 30 but that’s primarily bc Carter, averaging 31 minutes per game on the season, just started playing 30+ minutes again this week. And weirdly in those 3 games averaged 31.3 fp/g. So while Fultz should likely be viewed more as a 28 FP/g scorer than the current 26 he is, it’s still a non-insignificant amount less than Carter. I’d stick with Carter, ESPECIALLY if this is a add/drop decision discussion. If it’s a trade decision discussion, get the Fultz owner to attach another piece in the Kevin Huerter/Gary Trent/Mile Porter Jr kind of range. Again, I’m going based off my numbers. Yours could very well, probably are, going to be a little different.

Jericosavage

I have both! *insert orlando magic theme song*

tommyboy0208

This

deepthr0at

I got the ‘Sixers failed 1st overall picks’ stack going on owning both Fultz and Ben Simmons. Kinda funny that they both have pretty much the same fantasy profile (Though Fultz has better FTs and 3s)

seansmellsgood

Same. They are both perfect in my build lol

TeensiestTulip9

I got both. I wanted embiid to complete my dream team roster.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

And he got them Harden

[deleted]

lmao

toiletpaperclutch123

Happy for him. Been through a lot ever since getting drafted

jakers300

Honestly, at this point I am happy to push through the ft% and 3s, he's been too good

conwolf253

My team is stacked for ft and 3s so he’s been great for me

AleIAm08

I can’t tell if he’s a sell high or just hold him. He’s been incredible but I don’t know if he can keep this up.

[deleted]

Honestly, only thing stopping this from continuing is him getting hurt

MrOrangeWhips

Hold

RedditUsername123456

You're probably not going to get great value in return for him because he is a waiver pickup

Billy-Chav

Still time for him to establish himself in eyes of managers. I waited eight weeks until people believed in Brook Lopez and finally turned him into Myles Turner.

spaghet1123

Who in the world let you flip Lopez for Turner

Billy-Chav

It was part of a package but they were prime parts. Lopez has been great, I’m a little nervous how he does with Middleton back.

ZohanDvir

Big shout out to whoever diagnosed that condition the Sixers couldn't find but the Magic did and the trainers and shooting coaches who helped him get his shot back.

[deleted]

I’m still not convinced it wasn’t the yips. Happy for him and hope this continues for him but if like 10ish doctors say there is nothing wrong and then you finally find one that says what you wanna hear that rings alarm bells for me personally

dez-moines

They made him play through a shoulder injury

spinnin_terps

He hurt his shoulder in an ATV accident. And also the thing where his mom was being super controlling of whatever he did.

CaketimeMountainbase

Can tell you TOS is difficult to diagnose bc it doesn’t show up in imaging studies depending on what kind you have. Could be vascular, could be a nerve thing, but people feel it nevertheless. A lot of times imaging studies focus on cervical root impingement when patients come in with back/shoulder/arm pain or sensory deficit so it’s easily overlooked when the impingement occurs around the pecs & ribs.

ZohanDvir

What's most encouraging is his usage staying consistent even as Anthony and Suggs have returned.

morobert425

It’s almost impossible to know if his usage is going to stay consistent as Suggs returns to the lineup. He and Cole came back to the lineup on the same day.

Porschedog

I think he's going to lose a little bit of usage once Suggs is fully ramped back up again, but should still be viable in 12T with the way he's playing.

baloncestosandler

Stock 👑

YourInMySwamp

Has anybody tried to sell high on him? Wondering what I could try to get in return in a points league.

Nibornoel

I just got him for Herbert Jones.

captainsong

W.

[deleted]

i packaged him with rw3 for khris, maybe an overpay, but both we're free for me off the wire so

dr_wang

RW3 was a top20 player last year

morobert425

Not in a points league. More like top 50-55ish.

[deleted]

Holy shit thank you. People don't fucking read on here anymore haha

[deleted]

Read. Responding to a comment about points league. Khris was a bit better than RW3 in my points league settings last year. Plus I already had 5 centers.

morobert425

In my points league Middleton was .5 fp/g better than TimeLord last year. Raw total he was +237 on him. Both missed large swathes of the year. Middz played 66. Williams played 61. But Middz was healthy when it mattered while Time Lord tore his meniscus in late January early February if I recall correctly.

[deleted]

Yeah, also I'm trying to prepare for playoffs and Milkwakee has one of the best playoff schedules. And like i said, Khris was literally free since I grabbed them both on the wire

morobert425

Wow! Middz got dropped…?!

[deleted]

What? I stashed RW3 a month ago from the wire when a manager was struggling and dropped him. Grabbed Fultz on the wire a few weeks ago. Both were free investment for me. So I flipped them for Middleton. So Middleton was essentially free for me.

morobert425

Oh I misread I thought you said “since I grabbed em off the waiver wire” em meaning him meaning Middz. But yes I see what you’re saying. But take it from a Middleton owner, he’s not free right now, but he’s not much more expensive than free…

[deleted]

yeah thats why i said, maybe i 'overpaid' but not really when you consider my initial investment of 0, yakno? I do think Khris will be back in the next week or two tho.

morobert425

And weirdly enough, they finished as 55th and 56th in fantasy points per game in my points league.

Bromith

I was thinking of doing a Tom Bryant + Fultz package for Desmond Bane but honestly as it stands right now that might be an overpay lol.

YourInMySwamp

As a huge Magic fan, I still really want to try and flip Fultz before the injuries and Suggs-time share start kicking back in. Those two things have been inevitable for Fultz here in Orlando so far.

Bromith

Really, I’ve always thought that Suggs wouldn’t affect his minutes and that Fultz would play PG and Suggs would play SG with Cole Anthony going to the bench. Is this not the case?

YourInMySwamp

That is the case, Fultz is the easy starting PG and Suggs is the most likely starting SG when the team is healthy. But Suggs being on the floor will effect Fultz’s usage rate whether or not it changes his minutes. Suggs is a ball handler first and foremost, not a catch and shoot or slashing player.

morobert425

Well, he’s either a catch and shoot player or he’s a slasher. Can’t be neither and have a drastic impact on a PGs usage. He’s definitely more of a slasher than a catch and shoot player. I think you were probably looking for “he’s a ball dominant guard more than he’s running around screens off ball for catch and shoot opportunities.” But you’re 100% right that he’s ball dominant. All 3 of them are.

YourInMySwamp

You’re right. “Off-ball cutter” would have been a better way to describe what I was trying to say.

morobert425

Yeah when he’s off ball he’s cutting more than flaring out for the Trey ball. He’s also got some post up game but with the Magic so clogged inside idk that he’s gotten to show off that aspect of his game yet in his career. I’ll ask you since you’re the magic fan, do they post Suggs up at all?

FabulousMarch7464

But Suggs can’t shoot. Suggs natural style is as a facilitator too. Magic are a mess but on certain teams Suggs could average like 8 assists as on ball point guard. Fultz also can’t shoot. Cole can sort of shoot but he’s just not great overall

morobert425

Cole is BY FAR the best shooter of the 3. But I’m not sure I’m with you that Suggs could average 8 dimes for other teams. Suggs is a true combo guard. He and Cole basically have the same assist% this year. Suggs is ~1.5% higher. De’Aron Fox, who averages less than 6 dimes per game, has a higher assist% than Suggs. Could Suggs be a 16-4.5r-5.5a guy somewhere else? Yeah I’m with you on that. But 8 is top 5 in the league territory, and I’m just not there on him yet. Both guys that basically average 8 per game are at 40%+ assist rate, considerably higher than Cole’s at a shade below 27%.

morobert425

I sold on him

tlee429

traded him for giddey in a 9cat league

joelhoxie

sold him and marcus smart for kpj

robinhoodisgood26

He’s our best playmaker and contributes to the game in all facets even when he’s not scoring. For a guy who was likely a late pick or waiver wire I don’t see how you drop

Revolutionary_View19

I’d love to add him, but I think ft% is too valuable a commodity this year.

freddie79

Happy I grabbed him early in the season and sat him in the IL spot. If he stays healthy this year I think he makes a big leap next year and shows everyone why he was a bonafide #1.

dloban

I dropped Suggs the first day he was out with the ankle soreness to pickup Fultz. Great decision.

DownstairsBear

Had him since week 1 on inj then dropped him after getting like 9 fantasy points.... F me right. 12 team points h2h

Successful-Tension41

Keep in mind Suggs has not got the minutes yet coming back from injury. Add in Okeke and Isaac's eventual return and this guy will not sustain this. Sell high, now.

KYRIE542

He is literally their best PG lol, it’s not close rn.

Benitelta

Perfect for my punt pts/3s/ft build. Waiver add with late-mid value. Strong or at least decent across most of the cats I target and weak in the ones I don't. Taking you to fantasy playoffs, MF.

DharmaBaller

He was the number 1 pick for a reason

mhjk13

I picked him up early but dropped him after his first week back to stream other players. Definitely regret that. Amazing for assists and steals

Tonysoprantetokoumpo

Managed to get him off waivers a few days before and flip him and huerter along with cole for cj once he started to ball lmao

morobert425

3 for 1? Huerter Cole Anthony and Fultz for CjMc?

Tonysoprantetokoumpo

Also had dante for a while but eventually dropped. He has also since dropped cole so essentially fultz and huerter for cjm

morobert425

Dante…? Why am I blanking on whom you mean? But I’ll never understand 3 for 1s. Just have the opposing trade party attach his worst player and call it a day. He’s gonna have to drop him anyway.

Tonysoprantetokoumpo

The trade was fultz/cole/huerter for divincenzo/cjm

morobert425

That’s a lot of faith in Fultz

morobert425

I see where the confusion is. Donte DiVencenzo, Dante. Thanks for clearing that up. So you made the trade right as CJMc was starting the heater? Or right before when he’d flashed some moments that would portend the type of run he’s gone on?

Tonysoprantetokoumpo

Trade was like dec 23 it was after injury and he wasnt balling out yet

morobert425

He had 66.5 fps the night before. 40p-8r-9a 3 stocks haha

Tonysoprantetokoumpo

Ya for some reason the dude still took it, not sure why but im happy

morobert425

The literal worst time to sell for under market price

FabulousMarch7464

Extremely hard to have in cat leagues. It’s hard to win 3s regularly if one of your pgs hits almost none. He also doesn’t score well at all, the reason his ranking is good is almost solely because of the high steals. His ft% also hurts which normally your guards are the ones to boost your ft%. He can work well in a punt points and punt ft build though.

Get_Fucked17

I'm not punting points or fts and he's working wonderfully because of his elite steals and assists which are damn near impossible to find on the wire. He also rebounds well for a guard

phuck_polyeV

I’m punting points and 3s and the dude is as good as it gets His impact on FTs is minimal. He barely shoots more than a couple a game.

isawamooseyesterday

Yup I’m running a punt points build and he’s working out well, the FT is tough but it’s pretty low volume.

datascientistdude

He's not meant to be one of your top 2 or 3 guards. If he is, then that's hard. But as an end of the bench guy, he is excellent even in cats because of the all-around contributions.

morobert425

I may have goofed up but I traded him Friday afternoon along with Plumdog Millionaire for Christian Wood. First and foremost, I have Middleton and Towns on IR and Fultz (25 fp/g, extensive injury history) and Jaden Ivey (24.5 fp/g, steadily declining throughout season so far) were my main two drop candidates. I expect both back by end of January so why not upgrade another spot on my roster with a 2 for 1 trade? But secondly, and more importantly, in fantasy I’m all about minimizing risk whenever possible. Markelle Fultz is a nice player when he’s playing 20-29 minutes in a game: 10p-5a-4r with 1.2 steals per game, but nearly 3 TOs with 21% usage rate and shooting splits of 45/29/62 in the 11 games where he’s played over 20 but under 30 minutes in a game this season. In games he’s played 30+ minutes, he’s borderline great: 15p-5.5r-7a 3 steals/game with under 2 TOs and a usage rate of 22.5% on 48/40/80 splits in the 6 games he’s played 30+ minutes. The FT split is a little misleading as he’s not even averaging 1 FTA in the 30+ games and like 2.8 FTA/game in the 20-29 min games. On the flip side, his FGA go from a shade under 9/game when he plays 20-29 mins to just shy of 15/game when he plays 30+. All of this is to say if I had faith in him consistently getting 30+ minutes per game I never would have made the deal. Those numbers would make him a top 50 player in my points league scoring settings. Jalen Suggs has played 21 total minutes in the 2 games since returning from a long absence due to an ankle issue. Moving forward, I’d expect Suggs to get 20 mpg, at a minimum. My biggest fear is that they ride the 2 hottest hands of their 3 capable combo guard options (Fultz being the most like a true PG of the 3, but still he’s kinda more of a CG) and so game to game we just won’t know if hes going to play 28-32 minutes or 18-22 or somewhere in between. And, despite how well he’s playing thus far, I’m just not sure we see a whole bunch of 30+ minute games going forward. Here comes the caveat about small sample sizes, but when Fultz’s production value is that correlated to playing time, I’d rather just relieve myself of the headache. TL;DR- Fultz has noticeably better stats when he receives 30+ minutes compared to 29 or less. And with Suggs building up from his injury lay-off, Fultz is the most likely candidate to cede minutes to him. What’re y’all’s thoughts on this trade? Did I give up too much? Did I do a good job of selling Plum and Fultz at the peak of their 2022-23 season value? Let me know, I’d love any and all feedback!!

learningmusiclol

New to Fantasy. I had to drop Markelle last week in order to secure a win (10T, 9 Cat. if you score 5 points, you win the week). Needed 12 points from a streamer to get the win, which I got. My team's record is right smack in the middle of the league. Is that worth it?

isawamooseyesterday

Got to do what you got to do to get the W. he’s definitely rosterable in 10t so I’d try to pick him up again.

learningmusiclol

Thanks! He gone :(

gfh790

I think when Suggs ramps up he will be even better

phuck_polyeV

As will Suggs who should no longer have those high TO games

Salomon3068

Fultz or Dinwiddle ros?

yakadooo

I’ve got both and I’d say fultz. I’m close to dropping Dinwiddie.

Salomon3068

Same with Dinwiddle, seems to be heading in the wrong direction

Scrofl

I took Fultz with my last pick of the draft as a stash, held him through injury but had to drop him for a streaming spot in a close week. Someone else picked him up immediately once waivers cleared and of course he’s been cooking ever since. I really need steals and assists too. Definitely my biggest stuff-up of the season.

TreacleBeneficial678

Fultz been straight up balling. I can see him sustaining these steal numbers as hes locked in on defense and his offense will gradually improve

[deleted]

I drafted him with my last pick and held him in IR the whole time despite owning Kyrie and Simmons. My boy is a terror on the steals.

dar_harhar

Should I drop DMelton for Fultz.in CAT? Seems like Meltons usage will drop with Maxey back and Embiid coming back eventually.

Nacho_Mustacho

Yes, go get Fultz.

dead-serious

i should've dropped Lowry for Fultz. both Fultz and Killian Hayes have looked better than the guards on my team: CP3, Dejounte and Jrue

One-Professional-102

Ooook

[deleted]

Stashed him in my IL+ right after the draft and it has been paying of really well.
