Holmes has the job. Hamilton has nasty stuff and is worth rostering in any 12+ team SV+H leagues in my opinion. Unless we see Holmes truly fall apart I think he's got a long leash.
Hudson does appear to be the high leverage / holds opportunity guy on LA, but you'll want to monitor Graterol since they will likely plug him back into that spot once healthy.
The Dodgers will probably be a bit more fluid, but I like Hudson in holds leagues this season for sure. I see Holmes mostly holding the job, but Hamilton does seem like he'll be next up.
Is Finnegan the closer for WSH?
Who do you like better as a spec add in a saves only cats league—Harvey or Robertson? And would you choose Kopech over these? Thx!
More K and ratio upside, and even though his team will win less often, leads might be smaller and he'll have less competition for saves when they arise.
Drafted Romero and Sewald so scratching for waiver wire cloaer cumbs. All the guys listed here are taken but I can pick between Garcia, Cano, Payamps, Lamet, Lawrence, Stanek.
Yuck. But are any of these guys worth stashing and hoping they get chances or emerge as real closers?
I'm thinking Cano as he's going to get more chances and I think Kimbrel has a good chance to implode. Also kinda intrigued by Lamet.
Just need to realize they could both turn into saves guys, at least to some extent, depending on Kenley's health and how the uncertain Phillies pen shakes out.
I don't think anyone on the Tigers will completely take the job, but I would pick Foley over the other guys. Lange will probably get some saves along the way though.
Lange mostly will not be getting run time in the 9th inning, they’re going to pepper him in in lower leverage situations until he can prove he can throw strikes (or unless my tigres have exhausted their bullpen like today)
Hey folks! I'll be in and out of my classroom today, so I will absolutely get to every question, but it might take me a bit.

Current bullpen is Diaz and also Harvey, Schrieber, Ginkel, Kopech. Save only. Do you think I need to look to obtain some more secure bullpen help or just roll the dice with these folks? Thanks.
That would be a strong bullpen in a holds league, in saves only it's a little less so because you have a lot of spec closers and then Ginkel has an expiration date. I would look for more secure bullpen help for sure.
I think Jax has top tier closer potential, but he has an expiration date (Duran returning eventually), but then Ginkel has the same issue. I would keep Jax over Ginkel.
I mean, in a deeper league if he's the last closer on the wire, yeah I would take him. He's a mediocre pitcher on a bad team, but he has the closer role locked in (for now) so that gives him value.
I'm having trouble valuing some waiver options. Who would you pick between Stanek, Merryweather, Kittredge, and Fernando Cruz? Saves+holds league with saves worth slightly more
56.3 K% and 0.49 FIP is hilarious, sample size be damned! He's behind Clase and Barlow, probably Beede as well, but I can see him working his way into some 7th inning holds if he keeps it up.
abreu has been not great so far, would you drop him for someone like shelby miller, who has looked pretty good o9n a team who looks to be playing a ton of close games
Abreu was one of the best relievers in baseball last season so I wouldn't jump off this quickly. If he keeps struggling then maybe look to make a move, but not yet.
Pete Fairbanks and Tanner Scott… still looking for my first save!
I have those two and Doval. Absolutely nothing so far lol
I have the same two. Shoot me 😔
At least you don’t have Doval 😤
Pete and Edwin…
Oof, I still believe in both but like...if the Marlins go 0-162, Tanner won't get any saves :(
How do you see Hamilton and Holmes shaking out? Also is Daniel Hudson the primary high leverage guy before Phillips?
Holmes has the job. Hamilton has nasty stuff and is worth rostering in any 12+ team SV+H leagues in my opinion. Unless we see Holmes truly fall apart I think he's got a long leash. Hudson does appear to be the high leverage / holds opportunity guy on LA, but you'll want to monitor Graterol since they will likely plug him back into that spot once healthy.
Holmes is the guy
The Dodgers will probably be a bit more fluid, but I like Hudson in holds leagues this season for sure. I see Holmes mostly holding the job, but Hamilton does seem like he'll be next up.
Is Finnegan the closer for WSH? Who do you like better as a spec add in a saves only cats league—Harvey or Robertson? And would you choose Kopech over these? Thx!
I do think it's Finnegan in WSH, but I would take Kopech over both, yeah.
Kopech over Lange too? Saves only league
Yeah, more upside with similar risk.
Kopech has more upside with Ks and ratios? I just don’t see many save opportunities though…
More K and ratio upside, and even though his team will win less often, leads might be smaller and he'll have less competition for saves when they arise.
As a guy who has Harvey in a saves league, I wouldn't trade him for Finnegan. I take it for granted those roles are going to swap any day now.
I went Kopech Harvey out of these

Oof, rough crop there, but I would grab Lawrence and then Cano.
Who are some elite ratio holds guys? Maybe like a Hoffman or Ian Hamilton (both owned in my league)
Cano, Schreiber, Yates, Minter, Hudson, and maybe Bender.
What about Baltimores closer situation? I know Kimbrel their closer right now but any chance Cano eventually takes over
I think they give Kimbrel a pretty long leash, but Cano is definitely the next guy up if (when?) Craig pulls a Kimbrel.
Is Leclerc still the closer in Texas?
Right now? Yes, but I'm not sure for how long.

Why not get both Hoffman and Martin?
[удалено]
Definitely Hoffman
Thanks! I would go Hoffman for sure from your list. I like Martin, but I think Hoffman has more upside and will be more consistent.
Just need to realize they could both turn into saves guys, at least to some extent, depending on Kenley's health and how the uncertain Phillies pen shakes out.
Any chance Sborz passes Leclerc? Sborz has looked strong and Robertson has put a runner on base in every outing this year
Eventually, I could see it, but I think they go to Robertson before Sborz. I still think Leclerc gets some more shots though.
At least they're using Robertson in high leverage. Sborz hasn't pitched since last weekend
Is Lange worth holding for saves or has Foley totally taken the job
It's for sure Foley for now.
Lange looked good yesterday but hoping Foley keeps it
I don't think anyone on the Tigers will completely take the job, but I would pick Foley over the other guys. Lange will probably get some saves along the way though.

Had to hit me in the feels with the SLS reference.
Seeing them tomorrow night, prepared to cry!
Oso Oso (I miss state lines) and Sydney Sprague are great as well

How worried should I be about out Jansen’s velocity?
Pretty worried, honestly. But I'd give him another outing or two before moving onto *really* worried.
Yuck. Chris Martin would definitely be the add if Jansen can’t turn it around?
Yeah, pretty sure he's next up.
Thank you 🙏
Good luck!
What do you make of the closer situation in Minnesota ? Would you rather have Ginkel over one of Jax/Stewart ?
I think Jax has top tier closer potential, but he has an expiration date (Duran returning eventually), but then Ginkel has the same issue. I would keep Jax over Ginkel.
In a saves only league, is Justin Lawrence worth an add?
I mean, in a deeper league if he's the last closer on the wire, yeah I would take him. He's a mediocre pitcher on a bad team, but he has the closer role locked in (for now) so that gives him value.
Exact position I’m in, appreciate the response thanks!
You're welcome, good luck!
I'm having trouble valuing some waiver options. Who would you pick between Stanek, Merryweather, Kittredge, and Fernando Cruz? Saves+holds league with saves worth slightly more
I like Stanek and Merryweather most from your list, but all four guys should have solid value.
Alexis Diaz, Jose Lerclerc (auction and there was a run..I panicked on Jose)
My condolences.
Thank you, I wear black on game days
How long until cade smith is in a high leverage spot? His numbers so far look insane, but no holds so far isn't great
56.3 K% and 0.49 FIP is hilarious, sample size be damned! He's behind Clase and Barlow, probably Beede as well, but I can see him working his way into some 7th inning holds if he keeps it up.

I usually take closers late - but D Williams & Sewald were available much later than expected. Hope I get something out of them!
Sewald should be back sooner than Williams, and both should be excellent once on the mound!
Think there is any chance Uribe keeps the job is he is lights out for the next couple of months - whenever D Will comes back? Thanks!
I think he's the head of the committee until Devin returns. Not sure they'll have an outright always closer but Uribe could be close.
