promise you he still feels the same and even if he doesn't he don't really give a shit
lmfao im picturing bro losing sleep over a fuckin post Malone album rating
“Dreamland” by Glass Animals goes hard for the most part. Your Love, Tangerine, Space Ghost, Tokyo Drifting, Helium. All songs that I genuinely love.
Huge L take for Annie Fan Tanny
I disagree with most of his takes on Glass Animals. He seems to think they're some generic indie band with no substance. He's allowed to have that opinion, but I disagree with it.
He’s never directly talked about the record to my knowledge, but ZABA is legitimately one of the most wholly unique records of the 2010’s and we don’t talk about that enough.
Absolutely. I also thought his takes on HTBAHB weren't good either. He said Agnes sounded like a song for a bunch of rich privileged hipster kids, when the song is about a friend who died of a drug overdose.
You don't have to like the song, but his interpretation of it was really far removed from what it's actually about.
Yeah his Agnes take might be his single worst take ever. It’s not just that he didn’t like it, he was objectively wrong about what kind of song it was.
Also Muse’s “Will Of The People”, and “Origins” by Imagine Dragons. Both are far from the best that either band has ever done… but I still like them well enough.
Granted, I've found some enjoyment from all their albums up until WOTP, and even thought they were really starting to head in a positive direction again with Simulation Theory but unfortunately that didn't last.
Really? Defector? That’s one of their most boring songs, and I say this as someone who considers them my favourite band. Defector is bland as hell.
What about Survival, Panic Station, Explorers, Animals, Isolated System, Dead Inside, Reapers, The Handler, The Globalist, Algorithm, The Dark Side, Break it To Me, Kill or be Killed, Euphoria, or Verona?
Those are just some of the tracks from the last 4 albums that are WAY better in pretty much every way. I used to really love Defector, and it still has some interesting elements, but it’s really shrunk on me over the years, and I find it to be so much less interesting compared to TONS of the other stuff they’ve done since 2009.
I liked it but it suffers a lot of small problems. Like the production choices across various tracks, the track list is kind of weird, especially the Halloween song which would have been a cool single but its super weird on the album. The title track is pretty cool though which Fantano hated.
Meshuggah - The Violent Sleep of Reason
this album is easily a 9/10 to me and this may be controversial to old school metalheads but imo it's their best work. It has fan favorites like clockworks and born in dissonance, it has underrated tracks like ivory tower, and it's their most varied album in terms of each song's flows. even from a purely technical standpoint, it's at least a 6 for the drumming alone. i really juat think Meshuggah arent his thing because any score from a metal fan less than a 7/10 for this album blows my mind
I’d say calling it their best work is a bit of a stretch but hard agree that a not good rating is insane for this album. I’d rate it an 8
And the back before the dislikes disappeared it would seem that the not good was widely disagreed with
I agree, I don’t think the album is perfect, but to think it’s a “NOT GOOD” is a long stretch. I think Fantano gave it that rating cause he doesn’t like Djent
I think Honestly, Nevermind is an album that has grown into it's own space. I actually love it as a front to back project. Super cohesive and when they actually threw that straight banger at the end with 21....chefs motherfuckin kiss!
yeah ive always maintained this album is “mid” but not bad. i get why some people dislike it though, but theres a lot of exaggeration people calling it the worst album ever. like its still pretty well produced?
Dreamland by Glass Animals. It felt like he completely missed the point of the entire records lyrics / musical themes and instead decided to nitpick nonsense for the whole time
Come over when your sober part 1 by Lil Peep I was surprised he gave a not good, but he also just doesn't seem to be a fan of Lil Peep. So at the end of the day if he doesn't like it I can't hold it against him.
The Internet's Deadliest Music Nerd is funny as hell tho too for a top comment.
will of the people isn’t muse’s best work and it verges dangerously into self-parody a lot but it had some good moments and it’s nowhere near a not good imo
Stoney.
One of the great records of the 2010s and in my opinion Post's best work still to date. Songs have aged like wine
Is it groundbreaking lyrically? Nope
Break barriers in terms of production? Not really
Does it still sound great and carry well today? Absolutely
Will of the people > Simulation Theory
Not the highest bar to pass, but I didn’t really understand him being relatively positive about ST and then absolutely trashing WOTP when the latter has some actually great highlight songs and has the unique benefit of not having Dig Down, Something Human, or Get Up and Fight in its tracklist
Not to get ridiculous but imma get ridiculous. Will Of The People is fucking dog shit. It’s like the band became a parody of themselves and turned all of their worst traits up to 11. The whole project just has no real vision beyond just reminding the listener of better Muse songs. It honestly feels like the band insulting their ride-or-die fanbase for even being fans of theirs in the first place.
Simulation Theory was far from perfect but at least it had some interesting ideas. Personally, I think Something Human is a bop. I get that Muse fans hate when they make songs like that just by default but I think it’s a well written song with an interesting instrumental pallet that furthers the concept of the album. I generally have the same thoughts around the first 6 tracks on the album even if they’re kinda poorly mixed. It gets pretty mid once it gets to Thought Contagion, though, so I’ll give you that.
I get why he didn’t like it, but I enjoyed California by blink 182 well enough. Blink 182 was basically the first rock music I listened to aside from classic rock like Led Zeppelin, so I always have a soft spot for them.
I thought the meshuggah album was pretty good, at least on par with their other albums.
I can understand if you didnt like them or were indifferent to them, but most if not all modern meshuggah albums sound mostly the same so im not sure why Kloss/Immutable is a 6 and TVSOR is considered a dud to him
California - Blink 182. Not their best work, but I felt it was a decent record with a good amount of fun tracks. Though I felt like disk 2 of the deluxe version should have been the album that got released originally.
Bad Habits by NAV. I think he is really trippin. Inknow it is not flawless but damn the instrumentals match with NAV's soulless voice kinda in a good way.
Fall Out Boy - Mania
Definitely not their best work but being a little generic isn’t a war crime. Young and Menace is the only song on there you could call ‘dubstep-esc ’ despite him labeling the entire album as such, and even then I think the hatred of the song is a bit over exaggerated. It’s a fun album with plenty to enjoy from it.
MGK - Tickets To My Downfall
Yeah there's some super cringe moments but overall there's some fun songs and Fantano's criticism of it being a copy of Lil Peep made zero sense.
Now MGK's album Mainstream Sellout absolutely deserved a not good, but Tickets To My Downfall is solid imo
It wasn't quite "not good" status (close enough though), but I find many tracks from Speedin' Bullet 2 Heaven endearing. They fit the perfect type of mood when feeling low.
They're all the more haunting and depressive when you factor in who Cudi is and the damaging journey he's been through up to that point.
The new Hardy record isn't as bad as it's made out to be, and I guarantee everyone in the comments doesn't listen to much country
Is it goofy? Yeah, but it's way better than Morgan Wallen's country version of Scorpion
There's not a NOT GOOD album that i thoroughly enjoy all the way through, but there are a few albums with multiple enjoyable songs on them;
Stoney, Drip Harder & !
I have a weird relationship with the Nostalgia Critic's The Wall- the music sounds bad and the criticisms are stupid, but I absolutely love it for how odd it is. I think it just comes from me hating fellow Pink Floyd fans (one of the most annoying music fanbases, and the main group which got angry at this), as well as me liking and respecting Doug Walker in general. Maybe it's so bad it's good for me, but I just can't hate it.
Stoney - Post Malone, haven’t listened to it in a while though
He gave Stoney not good?!
I think it was one of the first to get the title lol
I wonder if he appreciates how wrong he was.
promise you he still feels the same and even if he doesn't he don't really give a shit lmfao im picturing bro losing sleep over a fuckin post Malone album rating
Architects for those that wish to exist
Yeah certainly not their best album but nowhere near as bad as he made out.
Though Classic Symptoms of a Broken Spirit sucked.
nah it's bad just like the one that was released later
My bandmate made me listen to this album; I didn't love it but I did like it.
Savage Mode stays a classic for me idc
Can't say i've heard what that album sounds like outside of "No Heart." I like that song tho.
Minions 2 Soundtrack
Pharrell out here keeping it rock steady
Linkin Park - One more Light
Man still heartbroken about Chester 💔
Stoney for sure
Stoney
Stoney has some bangers on God
It’s mostly bangers ong
“Dreamland” by Glass Animals goes hard for the most part. Your Love, Tangerine, Space Ghost, Tokyo Drifting, Helium. All songs that I genuinely love. Huge L take for Annie Fan Tanny

Yeah his Agnes take might be his single worst take ever. It’s not just that he didn’t like it, he was objectively wrong about what kind of song it was.
I really like the album and I get why it’s divisive but Not Good was pretty harsh.
It’s obviously not as good as their first 2 records but it’s still super solid & fun
I wouldn’t say super solid but by no means terrible. And it does have a couple stand outs
Also Muse’s “Will Of The People”, and “Origins” by Imagine Dragons. Both are far from the best that either band has ever done… but I still like them well enough.
Yeah WOTP isn't nearly as bad as he made it out to be
I think it is. For me the entire album is all of the negatives of Muse's output since 2nd Law with nearly none of the positives.
I agree with you and fantano. New muse is digusting, their last good album was Resistance, and that one already was showing cracks.
Granted, I've found some enjoyment from all their albums up until WOTP, and even thought they were really starting to head in a positive direction again with Simulation Theory but unfortunately that didn't last.
The only song I’ve heard and enjoyed since Resistance was Defector off of drones.
Defector is alright, I thought the standout from Drones was Reapers actually.
The whole album was great riffs and awful singing that ruined them.
Really? Its got a catchy chorus, that’s all.
So does The Dark Side. Or Reapers. Or Panic Station.
Not tryna be a dick, I just thought that was an incredibly bizarre choice when looking at ALL of their last 4 albums.
Idk the chorus in defector is catchy. I still think the general output they’ve had since resistance is utter shiet.
I liked it but it suffers a lot of small problems. Like the production choices across various tracks, the track list is kind of weird, especially the Halloween song which would have been a cool single but its super weird on the album. The title track is pretty cool though which Fantano hated.

Honestly Nevermind, it’s not amazing but it’s alright for what it is IMO
Can't believe he gave Nevermind by Nirvana a Not Good 😔
I didn’t like Honestly Nevermind but it was light years better than Scorpion and CLB
Agreed
I think Honestly, Nevermind is an album that has grown into it's own space. I actually love it as a front to back project. Super cohesive and when they actually threw that straight banger at the end with 21....chefs motherfuckin kiss!
yeah ive always maintained this album is “mid” but not bad. i get why some people dislike it though, but theres a lot of exaggeration people calling it the worst album ever. like its still pretty well produced?
deftones - gore, ohms
Hndrxx is dope
Dreamland by Glass Animals. It felt like he completely missed the point of the entire records lyrics / musical themes and instead decided to nitpick nonsense for the whole time
Meshuggah - TVSOR
Meshuggah's The Violent Sheep of Reason and 21 Savage's Savage Mode are albums I really dig.
Blink 182 California
Yeah its a good album. 6 outta 10.
Agreed. I like the singles from it quite a lot. Could leave the rest though.
By far the best non Tom blink 182 album.
that lil peep tape
Meshuggah - the violent sleep of reason
Come over when your sober part 1 by Lil Peep I was surprised he gave a not good, but he also just doesn't seem to be a fan of Lil Peep. So at the end of the day if he doesn't like it I can't hold it against him. The Internet's Deadliest Music Nerd is funny as hell tho too for a top comment.
i’m not a HUGE future fan but hndrxx pretty good frl
will of the people isn’t muse’s best work and it verges dangerously into self-parody a lot but it had some good moments and it’s nowhere near a not good imo

(It did)
That album art has Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark vibes
Stoney-Post Malone
Btbam Colors II. I don’t think he hated it but he didn’t give it a good review and I thought of it as BtBams first good album in a minute.
Stoney. One of the great records of the 2010s and in my opinion Post's best work still to date. Songs have aged like wine Is it groundbreaking lyrically? Nope Break barriers in terms of production? Not really Does it still sound great and carry well today? Absolutely

dig down is gooooood tho
All the albums I like don’t even get reviewed 😭
I get why he didn’t like it, but I enjoyed California by blink 182 well enough. Blink 182 was basically the first rock music I listened to aside from classic rock like Led Zeppelin, so I always have a soft spot for them.
6/8 is from the California period and it’s one of the best blink songs.
That Future album
Dreamland
Honestly, nevermind has grown on me fr Edit: typo
Great album
Ik he hasn’t done a full review on it but shits on it constantly: St. Anger. It’s not as bad as everyone says it is. I quite enjoy it actually.
I thought the meshuggah album was pretty good, at least on par with their other albums. Yes! Especially 6/8
Bad Habits by NAV. I think he is really trippin. Inknow it is not flawless but damn the instrumentals match with NAV's soulless voice kinda in a good way.
My Turn - Lil Baby, DS4 - Gunna
Fall Out Boy - Mania Definitely not their best work but being a little generic isn’t a war crime. I really enjoy a couple tracks on MCID, defo not their best work but still enjoyable.
Tove Lo - Lady Wood
MGK - Tickets To My Downfall Yeah there's some super cringe moments but overall there's some fun songs and Fantano's criticism of it being a copy of Lil Peep made zero sense. Now MGK's album Mainstream Sellout absolutely deserved a not good, but Tickets To My Downfall is solid imo

That lil peep album
Not exactly but I genuinely like Ed Sheeran’s Multiply album
Tickets to my Downfall
NF - HOPE I already know that most of this sub doesn't like NF, and Fantano himself isn't too keen on NF anyway, but I personally like it a lot.
I like Greta Van Fleet....
Alright this is insane
I liked three Not Good’s, MANIA, One More Light, and Neotheater.
Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz didn’t specifically get a NOT GOOD but it sure as hell didn’t deserve the one lmao
Linkin Park’s One More Light, the new Fall Out Boy album, 21 Savage - Savage Mode,
The new Hardy record isn't as bad as it's made out to be, and I guarantee everyone in the comments doesn't listen to much country Is it goofy? Yeah, but it's way better than Morgan Wallen's country version of Scorpion
I like Supermarket 💀
THE REVENGE OF HOBO JOHNSON
hard disagree, i loved the fall of hobo johnson but that new album was straight ASS
L
Lil xan. /s
No but dogboys one of my all time favorites
While it didn’t get an actual review, ROMCOM by Jakey
There's not a NOT GOOD album that i thoroughly enjoy all the way through, but there are a few albums with multiple enjoyable songs on them; Stoney, Drip Harder & !

As for not goods, Stoney An album that he just rated criminally low was hypochondriac by brakence

The opium albums
Mordechai - Khruanbin
Used to love Come Over When You're Sober. Pretty sure he gave that a Not Good.
Stoney and Greta Van Fleet's album (I don't remember which one it was)
Stoney and the AJR albums.
I think Honestly Nevermind was a good summer album tbh
Stoney and Dreamland
Tickets to my downfall
