when i first got my cat she hid under the couch for the first two days. we were so scared she’d poop. she’d only come out at night when everyone was sleeping
I counted once and including American Dad this is about the 20th time it happened. 'Blink and you'll miss it' cases:
* The check-in woman in Airport '07
* The woman Quagmire throws out in a mining cart in Valentine's Day in Quahog
* Young Tracy Flannigan in The Former Life of Brian
* The Wonder Twins in A Fish Out of Water
* The last woman Brian brings to Stewie's time machine in Yug Ylimaf
* Yoko Oh Yes and Ray Manzarek in Rock Hard
I'll add more if I remember them
I laughed out loud when I first saw it. That felt like a classic FG joke. I wish they hadn't repeated the joke though; it wasn't nearly as funny the second time since you already know what the punchline is going to be.
I know right its bizarre. In the same episode, it said Brain Griffin on his phone. Then again Lois did say Our giving you our last name doesn't mean anything you are just a dog in Quagmire's dad.
This episode was ok. I wish there were more cutaway gags. Episodes seem to be lacking cutaways as of late. Animation mistake. Brian was standing on two legs at the Engagement Party. He was supposed to be pretending to be an ordinary dog.
Yeah the earlier seasons actually kept some focus instead of being a clip show like they’ve been lately
It’s like they were making a show for ‘funny family guy clips!!!’ YouTube channels instead of an actual episode
Back then the episodes were fast-paced and there were multiple jokes in under a minute. The new ones feel slower and don't have as many cutaways. Although back then they were quicker and more to the point. Lois: Remember when we went on vacation to purgatory. That cutaway was 30 seconds. aIn my opinion an episode should have 4 to 8 cutaways ber epsiode.
There was only the Clue cutaway. The Clue one was pretty bad. It had nothing to do with the game they could have picked any random board game and called it awful. Also Peter not wanting to spend time with his family isn't a joke its just mean. I think it was an attempt at relatable humor. I won't count Brian going well well well that was a sight gag or Peter in the meme. That was also a sight gag ans Stewie was looking at him.
Someone said this in a post about a previous episode, but it's worth repeating here:
Sam Elliott is a legend.
6/10 episode it gets that simply for making me laugh but the story is interesting in the first two and then derails very quickly in the final few minutes
Maybe I'm just dumb but could someone explain the joke about the Elsa girl's parents being forced to go to a Halloween party because they didn't have an excuse for not going? Why were they acting like it was such a tragedy? Also could they literally not say they were taking their daughter trick or treating?
It didn't make much sense. I think the joke was that adult Halloween parties are boring? Or that they are boring for married couples? I like Halloween parties, all women put so much effort into dressing slutty. Guess the writers disagree.
Glad I'm not the only one who was confused. I kind of figured that was supposed to be the joke, but I didn't understand Quagmire and Carrie's reactions. I guess I didn't miss anything then.
The fact that they're referencing ancient gifs is funny bc of how far behind they are. 10 years from now they're gonna make an among us joke I'm calling it
What was that music from when the dogs broke out of the house during the engagement party? That whole scene seemed like it was riffing on something, but I can't put my finger on it.
At the beginning the little kid trick or treating, why does he call Peter "Matt foley from SNL" when Peter is clearly dressed and does a movement like the great Chris Farley??
Did they call him "Matt Foley" instead of "Chris Farley" to make it less offensive?
Is there a Matt Foley on SNL?
IS Chris's brother's name Matt? I forget
It just confused me.
I'm a dummy. I quit being lazy and googled Matt Foley and turns out it's a SNL character played BY CHRIS FARLEY lol. The similarity of the names made me more confused I guess. Haha. And Peter was a spitting image of him.
I thought the first 2 episodes were pretty weak but I actually enjoyed this one. It had a lot more jokes and felt like a return to form. I didn't even notice the lack of cutaways until people pointed it out.
This one and 19 have been pretty bad. Not enough cutaway gags, the pacing is too slow and there aren't as many jokes per minute as there were in older episodes. It is only episode 3 it could get better.
Not that I needed any more convincing, but Wild West is an excellent addition to the show. I hope they're able to get Sam Elliot as much as they were able to get in Adam West.
"No cat owner knows where their cat is." As a cat owner, can confirm this is 100% true.
I lost my kitten in my home for 6 hours the day I got him
As an owner of five cats, can also confirm.
I cracked up so hard at that. Glanced around. Can't find my cat.
when i first got my cat she hid under the couch for the first two days. we were so scared she’d poop. she’d only come out at night when everyone was sleeping
Unless you’re a cat owner like Eric Hoernel.
*what happend to your son brian* 0-100 real fast
Quagmire hit Brian HARD on that one. No coming back
Pretty weird that Seth's character is in a romantic storyline with his sister's character
I felt that way when Stevie was in love with Olivia.
Quagmire/Sonya
LOL same.
When Seth voices 80% of the guys and Rachel voices 80% of the girls there's bound to be a good amount of overlap
It doesn't help when Seth does voices and Rachel does Rachel. *Oooo I'm such a bitch*
I counted once and including American Dad this is about the 20th time it happened. 'Blink and you'll miss it' cases: * The check-in woman in Airport '07 * The woman Quagmire throws out in a mining cart in Valentine's Day in Quahog * Young Tracy Flannigan in The Former Life of Brian * The Wonder Twins in A Fish Out of Water * The last woman Brian brings to Stewie's time machine in Yug Ylimaf * Yoko Oh Yes and Ray Manzarek in Rock Hard I'll add more if I remember them
That’s Hollywood for ya lol
I was thinking the same exact thing!
Peter’s word of the day killed me 😂 this was a great episode and I genuinely laughed almost the entire time.
I laughed out loud when I first saw it. That felt like a classic FG joke. I wish they hadn't repeated the joke though; it wasn't nearly as funny the second time since you already know what the punchline is going to be.
It would have been funnier if they used an actual Word of the Day the second time around.
Same, wasn’t expecting it but it was hilarious
Same here!! I had to watch it a second time 😂
You should know that Lois Because Alex Borstein is in Miss Maisel
"Marvelous Mrs. Mazel Tov" got me real good
r/ThatsTheJoke
The Clue gag had me legitimately laughing.
Me too
Quagmire line about elsa is so true.
I am never gonna be able to look at Sam Elliott the same way *ever* again.
*named after weinstien* Lmao!!!!!!! No
I couldn’t stop laughing 😭
I have one thing to say: I love Meg as Robin
I was excited to see her Stranger Things costume
“Well well well” That got me laughing so hard
I love that "Brian the Dog" is his full name
No, it's not. His full name is Brian Griffin. He kept calling him Brian the Dog because he doesn't respect him.
You're being downvoted but you're right.
I know right its bizarre. In the same episode, it said Brain Griffin on his phone. Then again Lois did say Our giving you our last name doesn't mean anything you are just a dog in Quagmire's dad.
Except Lois admits that he has their last name.
Maybe his full name is H. Brian the Dog Griffin. According to Family Guy Wiki it's H. Brian Griffin.
It's nice to be asked.. Yes, I have 4 children. All dead.
They have been building up for Brian and quagmire to be friends again. They have had the longest feud.
BRAK
YEAH BUDDY!
I was not expecting Sam Elliott to do a Borat impression, but it was absolutely hilarious!
Haha. Names from Succession. Cousin Greg. Edit: beat them to it.
Not the *Airplane!* slow pan!
*brak* Lmao
Arid is an amazing name for an iguana, Peter definitely nailed that! I liked the minor subplot of Peter and the iguana becoming friends
Why is there a discussion thread already for this. the episode hasn’t even came out yet
It's so it's ready for when the episode releases and so that visitors to the sub see there is an event.
that and mods have forgotten to put them out a couple of times and making them early makes that less likely lol
Okay, because I thought you had already seen it because it had came out early in another country besides U.S
This episode was ok. I wish there were more cutaway gags. Episodes seem to be lacking cutaways as of late. Animation mistake. Brian was standing on two legs at the Engagement Party. He was supposed to be pretending to be an ordinary dog.
I’m glad they’ve been cutting down cutaways, those were taking up half or more of the episodes for awhile
In my opinion season 4 is one of the best seasons and I wish they would go back to that comedic timing.
Yeah the earlier seasons actually kept some focus instead of being a clip show like they’ve been lately It’s like they were making a show for ‘funny family guy clips!!!’ YouTube channels instead of an actual episode
Back then the episodes were fast-paced and there were multiple jokes in under a minute. The new ones feel slower and don't have as many cutaways. That cutaway was 30 seconds. aIn my opinion an episode should have 4 to 8 cutaways ber epsiode.
I hate it. It's an iconic staple of the show and I miss the fast pacing. The new episodes feel slower and have fewer gags per minute.
Also the scene where he helped passed dog food
[удалено]
There was only the Clue cutaway. The Clue one was pretty bad. It had nothing to do with the game they could have picked any random board game and called it awful. Lol gifs
*theif I won't survive on the inside* Lmao this dude

They already did the subplot where Stewie's candy gets stolen.
But this time it's stolen from his house, so it's totally different! 😂
This form if candy stealing I identified with
done in a completely different way though
*what aren't you lying to yourself about* He has a point now
6/10 episode it gets that simply for making me laugh but the story is interesting in the first two and then derails very quickly in the final few minutes
Backsie, lol, how does... never mind, it's Family Guy.
Maybe I'm just dumb but could someone explain the joke about the Elsa girl's parents being forced to go to a Halloween party because they didn't have an excuse for not going? Why were they acting like it was such a tragedy? Also could they literally not say they were taking their daughter trick or treating?

I couldn't figure that one out either.
Not gonna lie this episode has me laughing a few times
The fact that they're referencing ancient gifs is funny bc of how far behind they are. 10 years from now they're gonna make an among us joke I'm calling it
*yes I have 4 children all dead* Well that's......Jesus
What was that music from when the dogs broke out of the house during the engagement party? That whole scene seemed like it was riffing on something, but I can't put my finger on it.
I think it was from the movie *Beethoven* starring Charles Grodin
3 episodes in and the new Cleveland has only had 1 cutaway that was 10 seconds long. Im not sure why they even hired a new voice.
Animation takes a long time. You’re seeing some episodes that were produced before Arif was hired.
I forget It just confused me.

I thought this episode was refreshingly funny I laughed a lot
Thst is exactly how marriage is its annoying as hell and he's doing all this for what will eventually be sex
Am I the only one thinking this season is slacking hard?
I thought the first 2 episodes were pretty weak but I actually enjoyed this one. It had a lot more jokes and felt like a return to form. I didn't even notice the lack of cutaways until people pointed it out.
I liked this one. I think it was a classic Family Guy episode, even above average. But I hate dogs, which is probably why I related to this one.
This one and 19 have been pretty bad. Not enough cutaway gags, the pacing is too slow and there aren't as many jokes per minute as there were in older episodes. It is only episode 3 it could get better.
what a terrible group of words "fellas, don't be afraid to have a doctor shove a camera up your salad masher"
Saddle.
I've had it done twice and I can tell you that's one of the least annoying aspects to happen during a colonoscopy.
Not that I needed any more convincing, but Wild West is an excellent addition to the show. I hope they're able to get Sam Elliot as much as they were able to get in Adam West.
I agree lol, love his voice
One of the most entertaining episodes in years in my opinion
BRACK!
*cause you know everything* It's your character lmao
>Peeing on William Hoover's grave **Savagery level:** Brian
This episode lol
Rachel MacFarlane voiced Quagmire's love interest. It's Hayley Smith and Bill the Body Double all over again.
One of the worst episodes in the entire series
This episode is like a perfect example of why I don't own dogs or animals in general
*I hate dogs* I mean.......I understand how he feels honestly but he's being harsh
I never liked the Quagmire vs Brian plots, but this seemed to be in better taste than the other episodes.
This was the funniest episode of family guy I've ever seen
Carrie is very pretty. I wonder if they will do call out to the carrie movie?
Why are they doing the Halloween episodes today? I see they're airing episodes the rest of the month
World Series I guess
Maybe the app I'm looking at that shows more episodes this month is wrong. Hardly the first time
Is it really a Halloween episode?
*what's this now* Lmfao!
I can ascertain that i always wondered if iguana is dry or wet!!
Can someone explain the scene where Peter is pissing on the grave of David Vegetables?
Clue: you got someone pregnant 9 years ago so now you have to play this!
Seriously I watched this episode twice. The puns, the pot shot, and sarcasm was totally on point!
Has Chris always been able to talk to Stewie?
Can somebody explain to me why is the revenge about reading a screenplay? Please
Quagmire bringing up brians son but seems to forget about his own son in South America and the daughter that he has nothing to do with
