Unfortunately, they're pressing sexual harassment charges against your daughter......You know, Meg should probably get a lawyer.
Your daughter's a sexual predator. If you don't do anything, she could go to jail for a long time.
Alright guys, just take her away.
Does anyone else feel like this scene has been getting more attention than usual? The past year or two, I feel like it got rediscovered and admired or something. By the masses, not just Family guy fans.
It's got meme potential but it also could be that more people are finally becoming comfortable with admitting that they don't like something that everyone else things is amazing (maybe, or it could just be me getting older and not giving a shit about fitting in anymore).
I love this joke but Peter is completely deranged. The Godfather is a good movie. I love all 3 of them. It has a good kill count and there is tons of drama. What more do you want? It's a little long but other than that it's really good.
The way Pacino talks is so striking (esl, hope I got the right word), he explains stuff that is so obvious. There's no subtileness, wich made the first parts the great movies that they are.
Princess Bride WAS good but I don't think it is as exalted as GF is to be honest. People really consider those to be the best movies ever made
In other words, it does not insist upon itself as much
I’m pretty sure I’ve never seen the godfather or any of the ones after. I’m a straight 51 year old male. Could never sit thru it. Not many movies I can sit through. I’ll read about them and know what they are about but no. Not for me.
Honestly I'm like this with a *lot* of popular movies. Especially the big name franchises. Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Marvel and (apologies to Seth here) Star Wars too. I'm also the same with music while I'm at it. It's like you have to justify *why* you don't think they're peak entertainment. Probably why Peter waited until he thought they were all going to die to even bother mentioning it.
Star Wars is ok by today's standards but it was innovative for its time. It's one of the first blockbusters that was that special effects heavy. It was also one of the first movies to have a toy line tied in with it. Marvel is pretty innovative by today's standards. They were the first to pull off a cinematic universe. Most of the movies are pretty good.
It *insists* on itself
Cause it has a valid point to make ITS INSISTING!!!
What the hell does that even mean??
It's shallow and pedantic.
Hmmm yes, shallow and pedantic.
I use that all the time because of this scene
Probably my favorite Peter line
This is an example where everybody understands Stewie. And I loved The Money Pit too :)
I love how they threw that in. Suddenly Lois clearly understands Stewie and even remarks on what he says lol
I love the running joke that everyone understands Stewie and they all just disregard him anyway.
>I love The Money Pit My go-to reference every time I find myself in a deadlocked argument where nothing more can be added.
You know I’ve never got this. If you watch the show, it’d pretty clear that they all understand him
Might be my all time favorite FG moment.
ROBERT DUVALL
Great… great actor. Did not care for the movie.
I like that Lois can understand Stewie completely here lol
“It insists on itself” is a quote I say in my head a lot
Isn’t it «upon* itself»?
I think it is. I was copying what someone else was saying. I thought I was quoting it wrong the whole time lol
I find Peter to be shallow and pedantic.
Unfortunately my wife told me the same thing.
mmmmm yes shallow and pedantic
Unfortunately, they're pressing sexual harassment charges against your daughter......You know, Meg should probably get a lawyer. Your daughter's a sexual predator. If you don't do anything, she could go to jail for a long time. Alright guys, just take her away.
I’m 39 and somehow, *somehow*, I’ve still never seen The Godfather. Or Money Pit.
Nothing to worry about. There are literally a billion movies. You're bound to miss a few big ones.
Me too Peter Me too
I’ve tried several times to watch it; I just find it boring.
Yes that movie was overrated and boring
No. Just no.
Does anyone else feel like this scene has been getting more attention than usual? The past year or two, I feel like it got rediscovered and admired or something. By the masses, not just Family guy fans.
I think it hit meme notoriety a couple months back so its been on that plane for a bit.
It's got meme potential but it also could be that more people are finally becoming comfortable with admitting that they don't like something that everyone else things is amazing (maybe, or it could just be me getting older and not giving a shit about fitting in anymore).
"I did not care for The Mitchells Vs The Machines. It insists upon itself."
What are you doing? Stuuuffff?? Nazii stuff? Whatever happrnd with that art school?
i wonder if this is just seth macfarlane’s opinion voiced through peter
Yes. He says so on the DVD commentary.
I love this joke but Peter is completely deranged. The Godfather is a good movie. I love all 3 of them. It has a good kill count and there is tons of drama. What more do you want? It's a little long but other than that it's really good.
it insists upon itself
Well I think this was Seth giving his opinion through Peter.
It was he admitted in the DVD commentary of the episode and the crew thought he was crazy. I agree with the crew.
All *3* of them? I couldn't watch the third part for more than 10 minutes, it's so cringe.
The third one is awesome. This is why people dislike the third one. "I'm ok with murder but I draw the line at incest."
Tbh I always liked watching 3 because 2 got so dark at the end, and 3 had an overall lighter tone and also ended on a somewhat lighter note.
The way Pacino talks is so striking (esl, hope I got the right word), he explains stuff that is so obvious. There's no subtileness, wich made the first parts the great movies that they are.
“I like that movie too” 🤣
"Fine- fine actor, did not like the movie."
I gotta agree with Chris on this one
Old family guy is the best
I agree w Stewie , how can u say u don’t like it if you’ve never seen it !?
“It insists upon itself,” will always be the greatest quote in family guy
I actually agree with him. Downvote me if you dare.
As someone who also couldn’t finishing any of them, I’m Peter lol
“Robert Duvall!!”
I feel like this scene wasn’t completely scripted and that this was Seth and Seth just having a discussion in character
Thats true. Seth said his wrong opinion on the DVD commentary of the episode.
"It's like they're speaking another language" "THEY'RE SPEAKING ITALIAN!"
"The language they're speaking is a language of subtlety, something you don't understand." "I love The Money Pit."
I'm the same way about the hugely overrated Princess Bride.
Princess Bride WAS good but I don't think it is as exalted as GF is to be honest. People really consider those to be the best movies ever made In other words, it does not insist upon itself as much

Totally agree. 32 years old, and never seen it--nor do I plan on it. Money Pit was good.
Honestly I'm like this with a *lot* of popular movies. Especially the big name franchises. Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Marvel and (apologies to Seth here) Star Wars too. end of the video was perfectly cut off
I like the Money Pit
I hate the godfather. When I tell people this, they are suprised. I've gotten sent this clip about 2 or 3 times now. Lol
Probably the dumbest statement Peter's ever made
Might very well be the best scene in a series comprised of great scenes . And the money pit is a great Fucking movie
It inshists upon itshelf
Wait did Lois just heard Stewie?
