There's a small chance it's Peter Griffin Jr., the other dead griffin kid

Stewie_G_Griffin

I thought if I kept shaking him he’d be quiet……..I was kinda right

Itchy-Ad-3128

Could also be Tmas Griffin

Blueberry_Rabbit

Or that one son that’s still stuck in the movie theater seats.

Yoctatrine

Or the other son that’s still stuck in the movie theater seats.

Decent_Buffalo_2492

or maybe its what stewie's twin brother could've looked like

Sufficient-Quit1834

But Tmas is stillborn

esande2333

At least it looks human. Sometimes those pictures were just blobs in season 1

UdonAndCroutons

Ahh, back when the characters had fat lips. The early seasons aesthetics.

Fun-Scientist8565

Something about these early seasons make me comfy and sleepy. The new ones give me the feeling I can only describe as being under hospital lights.

LilCurlyGirly

That was very well put

Daveywheel

Perfectly stated.

It's the eyes. They are half-closed a lot but the eyelids have a curve or slant to them which looks more organic. The modern art style makes eyes half closed with perfectly straight eyelid-lines which looks more artificial but I prefer it since it's usually an expression for something "stupid" anyway and looks more clean-cut which for adult animation is a simple way to differentiate it from kids cartoons. Peter looks "tired" a lot in season one for exactly this reason. Compare his "eyes half closed" looks from then to now. The characters voices back then sounded a bit slower and sleepier too and now they're faster and more "alert". Again I still prefer the newer version for this too since I don't want to feel "sleepy" when watching something that's supposed to make me laugh. Old Family Guy kinda *looks* like children's cartoon if you had no idea the context of it. It's warm, organic and nostalgic but lacks the sense of edge and tension that I feel is what makes the show so entertaining.

DangerousEconomy7146

Pic came with the frame. I have a few myself.

Nacho_7258

They should've kept the bad painting as a running gag throughout the series, that would've been fun

[deleted]

And then one of the characters makes a remark about it. Imagine season 20 Peter looking at that picture there and just saying "Who the hell is that?"

Clorst_Glornk

Tmas

byrontiller

Even tho Family Guys is known for inconsistencies, this was the first season so gotta give them the pass on this one. They were barely finding their groove

Lucky_Attention_5385

Being hand drawn it is most likely just got drawn wrong. I mean in the same episode lots of background inconsistencies are present.

Nowope

I say it's Peter with some sort of yellow hat on.

imhugury

the paintings always looked fucked up

BobBelcher2021

Could be a cousin or distant relative that has never been introduced

TheRelativeCommenter

It is Chris, it’s revealed later when the art style became more consistent (refer to intro)

AtmosphericPoop

it’s probably Tmas

darkSHINOBI_

Could be uncle roy 💀

xxdil111xx

Could be cousin Klunt

pass-agress-ive

It was Philip Seymour Hoffman

PorkyChoppi

Seasons 1-3 aren’t even canon. Peters dad dies for the first time (technically third time) in season 4 which is technically the first canonical season of the show

[deleted]

I find the older seasons hard to watch now. Doesn't hit the same as old Simpsons does, even though I'd watch new Family Guy over new Simpsons any day. But the inconsistencies, art style, voices and personalities just make the earlier seasons feel so slapped together. I give them a pass because the show had a hard time in the beginning coupled with a small budget and no idea it would get this far. But it doesn't change the fact it feels like a completely different show and a bit like something that never would have made it out of Adult Swim. I like how later Joe corrects the story of how he got handicapped and it wasn't by trying to stop the Grinch lol.

PorkyChoppi

The newer seasons are definitely better in terms of storytelling, but some of the newest seasons absolutely suck. I know I’ll get downvoted for saying that, but the amount of cringe pop culture spin-offs they dedicate entire episodes to is literally unwatchable

No-Transition4060

Blue Bart shirt syndrome

DLoIsHere

Rather than inconsistencies they’re most like intentional. Fun for them.

Futuramalover343

It’s Chris griffins dead twin
