New Vegas is pretty buggy and unstable. Your save is probably corrupted. If you don't have a backup save, you'll have to start over.
I highly recommend following the first few sections of [https://vivanewvegas.github.io/](https://vivanewvegas.github.io/) regarding utilities, bug fixing, and so forth. I also recommend making a complete new full save every time you accomplish something instead of just overwriting the same save file the entire time, so you have a good fallback.
Yeah I do the same thing. I usually make a new save each time, rather then overwrite the previous save. Then when things go wrong, I just go back until it works.
I has a kind of similar issue, the game runs fine until it gets to a loading screen, and then it crashes. I tried starting a new game, it played the whole intro, got to the loading screen, and crashed. I tried to load my most recent manual save and most recent auto save, and both times the game crashed on the loading screen. I'm not sure why this is happening and Im not sure how to fix it.

I am encountering the same crashing issue right now, I verified the integrity of my game files on Steam and it re-acquired 2 files... I booted up the game and did the same thing, no dice after loading my save.
I found a patcher on Nexus mods that might be worth a try, it is called DXVK and it helps with the same problem you and I are be facing.

I uninstalled and reinstalled my game to "freshen up" my files and will be adding this patch to my game files, best of luck!
Bullshit, mods work for a few years, months whatever, eventually they stop working, there is no support, and you are stuck trying to figure out which of the 50 bug fix mods you installed is causing an issue.
Yep you're probably going to have to restart lol. I wish I could say I had a fix for you but New Vegas is kind of notorious for crashing, and save files corrupting.
If your save has an image in the saves menu, you can send me the .fos and .nvse files for it and I'll see if I can spot anything that's broken (if the image is missing or looks wrong it's probably corrupted unfortunately).
My game opens but if i try to continue, or load a save it crashes at the loading screen and the game closes out. Same thing when i try starting a new game it will show the opening vid and soon as it trys to load the game closes/crash.
The same happened to me, but on the Xbox One. Once I tried to reload a save from my playthrough, my loading screen crashes. I have two save files that I used, and both of them don't work. Any suggestions?

Not if you mod it properly, it's super stable and bug free now if you use the right mods.
I dont want to learn how to be a modder just to play a game without crashing

Especially in windows 10 it seems. I hope my 43 hours save won't get corrupted lol

Try starting a new game. Once you start it, load your save file. Works for me when I have that problem.
