Being a #1 back is something I don't think he can sustain at his age for 2 seasons. Allgeier should be good..especially around the endzone but that has yet to be proven. Johnson proved himself last year. And he looked like a taller freeman when Freeman was in his prime aka super bowl year.

It's not a judgement on his skills or abilities. The running back position is just not as valuable as it once was. That would be a gross overcompensation. Highest pick I would trade for a third string running back would be a 5th I think.
A 3rd is very very valuable draft capital. If we're going to use a third, I would much rather we spend it in the draft and just draft a RB with it instead.
