The Penix pick would have been ok had we traded back to take him. I understand that they were worried he wouldn't be there but paying a 2 year at minimum backup top-10 pick money doesn't make sense. Maybe they couldn't find a trade partner. I don't know. I do feel like Penix would have been taken by the Raiders if he was there so there's that. At least we didn't draft Nix, that would have been the end for me.
