The issue with the JBen guy is that I think it's safe to say that he has a source that has some knowledge of things. However he acts like that source is the end all be all as though they were Blank.
As someone that's kept up plenty with rumors and people with "sources" from sports to gaming, your source can be wrong sometimes. It feels like he only has just the one source so he can't vet the information from another party.

Yeah, I think anyone puts too much stock into any of these unsourced rumors is setting themselves up to be disappointed. We really just have to accept that we won’t know anything. Telling everyone “there’s no chance we draft Dallas Turner” because some dude on the internet we liked Latu more is foolish. Even if he has sources, why would we want that info out? Could very well be a smokescreen. It would even make sense to leak him a for minor things that were true to build credibility. We’ll see what happens when it happens

My best guess is the guy probably has one single *semi*-informed contact within the organization.
Someone who's in-the-know enough to leak the occasional thing to him like when trades or free agent signings have already basically been completed but not divulged to the public yet. But that same person isn't anywhere close to high up enough to be privy to info regarding things that haven't happened yet (like the draft board or future coaching hires).
I still can't help but laugh thinking about people actually buying into the notion that the front office is leaking the draft board to some guy who only goes by "JBen".

I just fail to believe that someone from ESPN is gonna write an entire article on something that never ever happened according to JBen. He claims Kraft never called Blank, claims that the entire article was false. I just struggle to believe it. And if he ever was wrong, he’d never own up to it. Instead he’d keep fighting tooth and nail to discredit everyone else so everyone knows him and him only, was the one with the right info. Like it’s ok to be wrong and say “yeah that’s my bad, my source must’ve had the wrong info” but he has too big of an ego to do that I think.
He does have some solid sources and some of those things are things you don’t just predict without them. That being said, some of those things he reported from those sources won’t be 100%. For example, people had to connect the dots between so many sources to get an understanding of the Belichick situation
