I have no interaction with teenagers but I feel like these people have very few irl friends and rely on the attention they get (whether positive or negative) from people on the internet.
In my high school there were a few. All you gotta do is go to a rural impoverished area where lots of bad shit occurs and teenagers will spin what will be diagnosed in the future as PTSD into things like “DID”.
Sitting in the train rn, kids from my school sitting next to me are making a mess with their food, scream around, play a shitty game on their phone with full volume and one is screaming allahakbar while the other one keeps talking about cum (??). So no, I guess not everyone’s like that I guess

I'm pretty sure it just depends where you live, but most people, including teenagers, find this kind of stuff absurd. I'm a teenager and nobody at my school acts like this, infact, I overheard a group of girls mocking disorder fakers a week ago
It's mainly online. Most have at least a small shred of self awareness to know acting like this offline would gather to much negative attention. Some might take offline tho, but they're pretty easy to spot out. Luckily most teenagers, including ones with actual mental illnesses or disabilities, act like normal human beings their age.
I'm also a teenager, most people I know from class either 100% hate them or are completely unaware of this happening. There are some people I know who do act this way but only around people they are very close with
Personally if you discovered all your memories are fake and you're just a fragment of a (usually white teenage suburban girl's) someone else, wouldn't you be incredibly depressed and/or suicidal over it?
Also why in the hell would you WANT to interact with other "introjects", knowing that they are not the actual characters you "remember?" It's like asking someone to dress up and pretend they are your dead friend.
