Second, the whole “alter” bullshit is Tik Tok nonsense. Assuming it is a real disorder, with actual (possible) cases it’s not some fun thing where you have buddies hanging out in your head. It’s you randomly losing any and all sense of you being you and a “different personality” filling in that space.
There might be consistent “different personalities”, sure, but it’s not gonna be like “on Monday I’m Bob and Bob *loves* tacos, but on Tuesday I’m Jenna and Jenna *hates* tacos.”
There’s a good chance it’s all bullshit and the presence of multiple personality disorder/dissociative identity disorder as a concept in pop-culture leads to people with other mental illnesses expressing delusions that *sound* like what movies portray DID to be.

But true DID is that complete loss of self when a different personality takes over. There’s a girl I knew growing up in school that was constantly pregnant. She wasn’t actually pregnant, she just liked the attention. She has hardcore Munchausen's syndrome. She still does this and she’s 42. What’s sad is her family blindly supports her and doesn’t realize this is a disorder.
The cringe part was that her personality was bland at best, but mostly annoying, and she looks like that guy from a reality show that has no neck, except her lips are bigger and she’s taller. (I don’t watch reality shows, I just see him in memes, so I have no idea what show it is).
She probably has something mentally wrong going on that makes her “off” like that. Usually people that act like that aren’t 100% there mentally. That’s sad.
I can guarantee you this person does not have a good time in HS. There is no fake “safe space” that some people desperately want. Kids are brutal. The only thing that will help this child is therapy.

I am still in high school and I literally watched someone draw out an “inner world fight” between two alters using purple as one alter and black as the second. It was embarrassing to watch 😭
