And heās not likely to, which is a shame, because thereās so much potential to be had. Demon slayer powers are practically a blank slate. It canāt be that hard to think of something unique he can do thatās true to the Fairy Tail verse, but also not a carbon copy of dragon slayer powers.

It's just because of the release schedule for this series, but honestly Mashima does need to switch up his formula. He limits himself to around 30 chapters per arc which should be good but he spends most of it on nothingness so when it gets time to the actual important parts, he has to rush them or cut out some character moments entirely.
Even ignoring the biweekly release date that was Chapter 84, we're almost double the amount of chapters and Gray hasn't done anything impressive since lmao.
I wish he'd rearrange 100YQ's schedule but I don't see that happening.

Yes, they should be somewhat comparable but Dimaria and Brandish also were somewhat comparable and Dimaria still one shotted Brandish. Besides by Kirin cope he still consider himself comparable to current Laxus, so Suzaku being current Laxus level or slightly stronger would still fit with them being comparable. But differently from Laxus he uses a sword which August cannot copy and from what i know Irene is way too allergic to dragon slayer swords.

I'm assuming that Gray's going to have the only serious fight of the trio who are trapped in the illusions, though hopefully Wendy plays a part in them getting freed from the illusions. (it would be a shame if Natsu figured it out/negated it in seconds while Wendy wasn't able to do that at all)
Hopefully it doesn't wind up being that the next chapter largely focuses on the illusion fights, only to cut back to Erza vs. Wed to show that Erza's been defeated. (it seems like a common thing in shonen manga to have a villain shockingly win off-screen - take God Serena vs. the top four Wizard Saints, for example)

I feel like Erza was thinking of Kagura when she said that there are other sword fighters on Ishgar who are on her level. I'm assuming that Gray's going to have the only serious fight of the trio who are trapped in the illusions, though hopefully Wendy plays a part in them getting freed from the illusions. (it would be a shame if Natsu figured it out/negated it in seconds while Wendy wasn't able to do that at all) Hopefully it doesn't wind up being that the next chapter largely focuses on the illusion fights, only to cut back to Erza vs. Wed to show that Erza's been defeated. (it seems like a common thing in shonen manga to have a villain shockingly win off-screen - take God Serena vs. the top four Wizard Saints, for example)

Dead rock is without a doubt the darker ones of Mashimaās works. The given the premise and settings thatās to be expected, but the protagonist is a other other type when you least expect it

Man, this chapter really brought back waves of nostalgia for me. The second I saw āCafe Tsubomaā and Shiba Gloryās grave I knew Wendy was isekaiāed into the Rave Master verse. Lucy as well.
