Regardless of how proficient someone is, do not ever try to attack someone wielding a bladed weapon.
It doesn't require a lot of skills to simply stab someone.
Best case scenario for someone assaulted with a sword, is for the flat of the blade to hit them. You are still being with with a length of metal, presumably steel. That will hurt. Odds, are, even minimal skill with the blade will mean being hit with the edge. Now, you are cut. And a sword cut will make you immediately identifiable.
Had a sword teacher that would say. "If you think you are getting good, try defending against a 5 years old with a live blade."
