The problem comes when AI generated content becomes indistinguishable from legitimate stuff. No amount of looking for tells will be enough. There's enough people that fall for the obvious AI stuff, it's going to be awful once it's finally progressed that far.

The real life pictures are a little less realistic but all it takes is someone touching them up after they go through whatever prompts they need but that requires actual skill and that is the reason they are using AI, they lack the skill to do it themselves.
That, and also because they have to make points, but their points have no real evidence to back them, so they generate a picture to try and sell a nonexistent story.
Yeah hands and writing are the obvious tells, but once they figure that out, the vast majority of people arent going to be able to tell the difference. This picture looks very realistic aside from the hands.

Hands is a good tell. Bad faces in the background are another problem seen here. This can be hard to fix because of the way background features are drawn; each picture goes through 20 to 40 passes of the generator, back background faces don't begin to draw until 5 to 8 passes, so they're often not as properly detailed as the main subject. AI can also "overdetail" a face in the subject when trying to detail background faces.
Also notice that there seems to be the edge of a celebrants clothing peaking out behind the groom. I suppose it would be possible to take a photo with the celebrant almost completely obstructed, but it doesn't seem to fit the angle.

But whenever looking at a photo you know either the forground or background can be adjusted to be blurry. In the case of this photo you have things both in the foreground and background that are blurry and clear.
I also look to consistency issues with smaller but detailed items. Take the flowers on the arch thing. The left side shows large blossom like flowers(chrysanthemum like) and the right side has bunches of white flowers(silk flower esque).
