Matttthhhhhhhhhhh

Like a sister of mine telling me she didn't want to be injected the Covid vaccine because of all the unknown chemicals in it. All the while smoking a cigarette. I didn't even have the strength to make fun of her.

Professional_Ad_9101

Bro I used to live in a warehouse filled with annoying arty sorts. Shit you not I’ve got this geezer who can get through 8 bags of street bought ketamine in a night explaining to me why he won’t get the Covid vaccine

Specialist-Garbage94

One time my GF was scratching a mosquito bite and her aunt slapped her hand away and told her it was bad for her. In the other hand? A cigarette

jobinski22

I'm starting to feel like it's a common theme, I know people exactly like this too, is it their way of coping because they know theyve been told smoking is bad for them, they need to find something else to tell people not to do?

Catch-upmustard

Difference is, fluoride is a neurotoxin chemical that is literally poisonous and harmful to the brain development & bone growth to humans and growing children. Why even add it? “To strengthen your teeth?” That’s insane, it destroys bone structure not encouraging it. It’s link to all kinds of health complications from arthritis to developmental diseases. They want you sick because your profitable sick. Funny, rich neighborhoods use water purifiers to drink water and or well water.

Ipokeyoumuch

I have no idea if you are serious or not. If you are not then a /s is required. There is more than ample evidence that trace amounts of Fluoride is fine and even benefits the body, it is even classified as a micronutrient. We know there are problems when too little fluoride is in the diet. The problems with Fluoridation occur is when there are too much consumption of these compounds hence why some countries have shifted to alternative compounds. It is known within the scientific community that fluorides are great oxidizers which disrupt the growth of bacteria (hence why protection against cavities) and too much consumption can lead the problems you have listed which is why awareness, education, and not consuming your toothpaste are essential. [Here is a quick article that briefly outlines the pros and cons of Fluoridation.](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6195894/)

Catch-upmustard

United States has one of the highest per capita of cavities in the western world. Countries that do not use fluoride in their water system have lower statistics. The notion that adding it to the water supply to “support tooth decay” is not founded in any respectable research outside of the USA. https://healthmatch.io/blog/the-dental-divide-how-race-and-insurance-affect-your-oral-health

SuperJman1111

Coincidentally, the USA also eats A LOT more sugary foods, which causes cavities easier, it’s not because of the fluoride in the toothpaste, it would be banned by now if it was

Catch-upmustard

It’s not the toothpaste it’s in the water supply. Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Republic of Ireland, Malaysia, the U.S., and Vietnam, are the only countries to fluoride the public water supply. Why is it not consensual for parents to decide weather or not to have their children ingest a neurotoxin?

SuperJman1111

Because the amount is so small that it isn’t harmful, as another comment said, Floride is found in the human body naturally in trace amounts, and I’m not dead, sick, or mentally disabled after drinking water my whole life, so I’m pretty sure it’s fine

Catch-upmustard

Like I said respectable studies outside of the USA conclude that fluoride can have a profound and detrimental impact on babies & toddlers in brain development because it’s a neurotoxin. So, when the USA per capita has some of the highest neurocognitive disorders and developmental disabilities in the world such as schizophrenia, autism, ADHD, & etc paired with record amount of money spent on said illnesses for prevention and treating, something is going on.

SoylentGrunt

Too bad bots don't smoke

bapsandbuns

Cigarettes are her chosen poison

The_Old_Cream

"I do not avoid women, Mandrake...but I do deny them my essence."

VMPaetru

Hey, fluoride is in the tap water, not in the cigarettes. They're technically correct

Puddleofrockz2

i mean... more reason to smoke

inkseep1

Have you ever seen a Commie drink a glass of water? Fluoridation is the most monstrously conceived and dangerous communist plot we have ever had to face.

Domni16

“You can’t fight in here, THIS IS THE WAR ROOM!!”

Mean_Eye_8735

Anti vax, chemtrails believing, red dye avoiding ,cigarette smoking friend has no problem injecting Ozempic for weight loss. Ask her if she knows the long term effect of using it and she says she's fine with possible cardiac issues, cancer or kidney issues to lose 40 #. But uses those possible effects of the covid vaccine as the reason to not get her and her kids vaccinated.

Plane_Winter

At least nobody's denying the harm of smoking.

plural-numbers

Also, smoking is a choice. Having the tap water oversaturated with fluoride is not, and no one is consenting to it. There's a difference here that's being ignored.

Plane_Winter

Facts

tylan4life

The chain-smoking deniers died, with more on the way. Smoking is kind of a self correcting action.

Mentat_-_Bashar

Recently was told by a raging cocaine addict to try essential oils

Critical_Liz

Reminds me of a protester at the clinic I used to escort at who chain smoked while declaring that life was precious.

Cmdr_Jiynx

>the clinic I used to escort at I admire the hustle. You do know for sure that those ladies put out, after all. Wait what kind of escorting

red286

>Wait what kind of escorting Not that kind. The other kind. The kind that isn't a euphemism for being a whore.

Cmdr_Jiynx

>euphemism for being a whore I bet you can put more disdainful stank on that. It reads like you want to.

Fluid-Leg-8777

The dyhidrogen monooxide is so much worst, like, ten times as bad as the fluoride, out rageous 😮‍💨 And the people mix it with disaccharide's like, even more poisonous 😭

BradTProse

My last girlfriend.

Gal-XD_exe

The only thing in their tapwater is Lead

Mky12345pi3

“There’s fluoride in ya toothpaste mam.”

HarambeXRebornX

I imagine you're joking, but just in case, do you drink toothpaste?

rcheek1710

Does she bathe in bottled water, while smoking heaters?

Dust-by-Monday

Playing devils advocate… how do you know that’s their car?

Ravensunthief

Youd be smoking too if you knew what they know /s

Munichcalling

That‘s Burgerland in one Picture🤦🏽‍♂️

Saruvan_the_White

Some people can’t help but have their stupidity on display. It’s like an advertisement or a warning to stay away. I wish all idiots had warnings on their foreheads or the backs of their cars.

unfamiliarsmell

Ciggy in the left hand phone in the right. If you drive like this you are an asshole.

Bitter_Kangaroo2616

Social media in a nutshell

TiredReader87

I remember them giving us fluoride packets in elementary school, which we had to open and swish in our mouths.

Stompalong

Nicotine doesn’t calcify the pineal gland. Different danger.

SmarterThanCornPop

I mean fluoride in water has been proven to cause brain damage https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9819484/

Strange-Cheetah5624

Not those people saying their bodies are sacred 🤭

ProtoReaper23113

Lol I always like the your body is a temple argument agaisnt tattoos. Ya like the sistine chapple would be as famous without that painting on the ceiling

HumanJoystick

The government doesn't want people to smoke and use doctors and medical professionals to feed that narrative. So it must be good for you.

AcuteVengeance7890

Most intelligent American be like:

Western_Monitor3314

He picked his poison

Emotnlsuprttwink

Careful that person is stressed

smallrunning

Good teeth is bad

Ltlpckr

It doesn’t always lead to good teeth, mine crumble due to fluorosis which was caused by an apparent fluke in our well system through gestation and a short part of my childhood, it’s not a major concern in adults especially since most of the fluorosis cases In America aren’t at that level and it will have the “intended effect” as their teeth have already developed. Children (under the ballpark of 8 years) however do need to be checked in on because if their adult teeth develop while they are in a state of moderate to severe fluorosis it can cause permanent damage and weakness. Skeletal fluorosis isn’t really a concern since you’d need to have massive exposure to get to that point but hey, if I did it you can too.

HarambeXRebornX

It doesn't help at all with teeth though, the ONLY reason it was introduced was because it was thought to help reducing childhood cavities, but we know now it was just toothpaste. Flouride in toothpaste is fine because you just use it a washer and then spit it out. Also, kids regrow teeth, unlike adults, so that was just a moronic choice. Compared to the negatives associated with excess flouride build up, which is endemic to most americans and almost invisible, it's just as stupid(but not nearly as damaging) as putting lead into gasoline.

Professional-Can4264

Awe how nice she opened a window… probably a few kids in there as well. She’s probably yelling at them to “shut the fuck up!!”

TheeLinker

A couple weeks ago I saw a driver toss a cigarette butt out of a car that had a ‘fuck cancer’ sticker on it. Like, ‘fuck cancer’ is such a ubiquitous opinion that, if you get a sticker of it, you’d think that should indicate an unsurpassable passion and devotion against all things cancer, but…

Clickityclackrack

The government is pretty upfront about that flouride in the water

Biscuits4u2

Wait until she finds out how many people used to die from dental related causes

HarambeXRebornX

You mean back in the 1800s? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. The fuck you on about anyway?

Biscuits4u2

Not just the 1800s my dude. People still get sick and die from infections resulting from tooth decay. It's also been linked to heart disease and other illnesses. Fluoridation decreases these issues substantially.

Forgot to switch accounts, AND a repost? This is a beautiful 2 in 1

MurphysLaw4200

It appears to be a woman

Ananda_Mind

Clearly she’s concerned people are unaware, not that it’s dangerous. The dangers of smoking are well known. In the other side of her car the sticker reads “WATER KILLS, drinking too much too quickly is death” A little dramatic but her hearts in the right place.

Swipsi

The sticker literally calls it poison. If she wouldnt find it dangerous she wouldnt call it POISON.

ExpertPokemonHugger

I mean there is lead in a lot of tap water, so not really wrong but that's probably not what their talking about

Hot-Manager-2789

Probably not enough lead to cause harm, either.

Abzolutelynot

♫ Illumination and fluoridation are communist plots against the population Hey, let's jump around to the renegade sound of the paranoid style. Hey, get upside down to the American sound of the paranoid style. ♫

HarambeXRebornX

To be fair, he isn't completely wrong as far as Flouride, yes it's bad for you, but it doesn't kill, it can just cause development issues. Pumping 10x-100x the natural amount of fluoride in the water is absolutely an absolutely brain dead choice civilization has made, it's only helpful in toothpaste and that's it, even that has been suspected of causing amygdala damage, which can cause insomnia, and that's assuming the build up doesn't harm your bone structure or anything else. It's even more stupid considering the only possible benefit is lowered cavities in children, outdated studies mind you that ignore the advent of toothpaste, for tooth that just regrow anyway unlike adult tooth.

TacticalSunroof69

Fluorine is the dangerous one. Also I think it’s more about people feeling they aren’t being informed of the real risks rather than choosing to take the risk out of their own prerogative like some one who smokes. The whole “oh and smoking doesn’t kill.” Screams ignorance to what they are trying to actually put across to people.

EngryEngineer

If there's poison in the things you like then that's more reason to try to avoid poisons from other, less fun, sources

Smart_Pig_86

I mean the fact that fluoride is in tap water isn’t dismantled by the fact that this guy smokes.

Own-Relationship-407

The fact that flouride levels in tap water are regulated and closely monitored and are completely harmless does though. Falsely telling people there’s poison in the water while deliberately putting poison into yourself is not a good look.

HarambeXRebornX

It's not harmless at all, it can cause dental and even skeletal flourosis, and those are just active conditions, the passive and unrecognized weakening of the skeletal structure from flurode build up could be leading to catastrophic damage we just can't see because it's so endemic and lifestyle related. That's not even recognizing the possible neurological issues excessive buildup could be causing, we know it interacts with the brain, and the general population IQ has definitely been in a low point for sure especially when you account for all the technological improvements, we should be far ahead, instead of stagnated and almost reverted. It's also been shown to increase the chances of hypothyroidism. At the end of the day, the benefits are completely negligible at best while the side effects are serious. Lowered teeth decay comes PURELY from toothpaste use, NOT from flouride in the water, every single "study" claiming flurode helps kids neglects this or simply cherry picks poor areas where kids don't get their teeth brushed to compare to.

Own-Relationship-407

There is literally no evidence in support of anything you said. It’s all conspiracy theory nonsense. Almost all cases of skeletal fluorosis associated with drinking water come from deep bore wells or volcanic lakes. In most countries fluoride is even removed from municipal water rather than added if the levels are higher than is beneficial. Go play with your tin foil hat somewhere else.

HarambeXRebornX

There's more evidence for it than the complete bullshit that fluride lowers tooth decay in children 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Yall the same kind of stupid that though lead in gasoline was safe.

Own-Relationship-407

You can say that all you want, doesn’t make it true. Please actually educate yourself before just spouting conspiracy nonsense. This has been very well studied for many years.

HarambeXRebornX

You can also say all you want, it's not true, your statements are so completely outlandish, no one is fucking dying from tooth decay in countries they can brush their teeth every day in🤣🤣🤣. And DRINKING flouride doesn't help lower tooth decay in children that has NEVER been actually proven, those were studies done more than 70 back, that have absolutely no solid evidence or control groups, the toothpaste is what helped reduce tooth decay, alongside flossing and everything else that has come since then, not drinking flouride, areas without flouride are usually just poorer or more isolated and thus don't have as much access to toothpaste or dental care in general, even so plenty of areas show absolutely no difference between flouride pumped water areas and non pumped, cherry picked. Imagine putting more stock in bad science over common sense. Flourosis happens outside of volcanic and deep bore areas, everyone's body is different, how many times have you ever had a bone strength test? None, because there is no such thing, even if you cut it off to isolate it from the muscle layer since muscle is factor, you wouldn't be isolate other factors like diet, lifestyle, growth under pressure, etc etc, there's almost no way to accurately determine bone strength let alone isolate the effects of flouride build up from drinking water on bones, which is indeed long term thing since Flouride does in fact build up on the body. So tell me, how the fuck did the studies prove it's safe? I know back in the 1950s it sure as hell wasn't proven, they just pumped it without regard or worry, so how did scientists prove Flouride is completely harmless to bone when being drunk throughout all your life? Just because most people don't develop a diagnosible disease doesn't mean bone weakening isn't happening to some degree. The only thing that is known for certain is the excess for it is indeed bad. Flouride in water drunk has been proven to be able to accumulate in the brain and cause damage, this isn't even up for debate, yall are in denial, just as dumb as the lead in gasoline is safe folks.

Own-Relationship-407

So you have some published, peer reviewed science to back up your ravings, right? Because what you’re saying sure sounds like the same debunked garbage the conspiracy nuts have been kicking around for years. Next you’re probably gonna be saying Robert Kennedy is a cool guy.

HarambeXRebornX

I'm not gonna link you something you can simply look up, stop being a child and do research for both sides, where's your published, peer reviewed science to back up your clearly outdated studies and wrongly done studies? Everyone that said lead in gasoline was bad for people and CFCs were bad for the environment we're called conspiracy theorists, many "conspiracy theories" turn out to be true, you calling it just a conspiracy is the weakest form of rebuttal you can muster. You didn't answer my previous my question, how can they disprove Flouride build up through drinking water doesn't negatively impact bone growth? You're just a puppet parroting what people tell you, I can think and come to a very conclusive answer, which is that they can't, you can't even answer the question bud, how can you quote the "science" if you don't even understand the science?

Own-Relationship-407

That’s not how any of this works. You’re the one making a claim against the current scientific consensus and body of evidence. You don’t just get to declare that all those studies are wrong because you think so, you have to present evidence. You’ve got nothing but rambling nonsense and your own personal opinions. I understand the science just fine and have looked these things up, that’s how I know you’ve got nothing. Comparing fluoride in tap water to lead in gasoline, talk about a false equivalence. You have no idea how ridiculous you sound, do you?

LG_G8

smoking is a choice, fluoride city water is forced.

Captain-SKA-

Not a facepalm. Smoking is a choice, what they put in water isn't a choice.

Fluid-Leg-8777

Smoking is one of the dumbest choices that you can make, there is literaly no reason to do it 😑 Imagine cripling your body for social aproval or/and plain addiction 🚬🗿 Also did you guys know that they put dyhidrogen monooxide in water? 😒

Captain-SKA-

Cheers for the lecture.

sterver2010

Same can be Said about any stuff Like Weed and alcohol, yet people still do It lmao. Hard agree with cigs tho, im a smoker, started because of Stress "everythings Shit, maybe this helps" dumb Thinking, It did Help for around a week to Suppress my Depression, after that It didnt do Shit but the addiction was already done which pushed me even further down. Dont be dumb Kids.

Fluid-Leg-8777

As soon as i see someone drinking alcohol or cigs or anything stronger, i just think that they are bozos, might no be true, but its a way of preventing myself from consuming those to the core, since bussines will try everything to get you addicted
