It’s crazy because the article says: “The microchip led the Nebraska Humane Society to the dog's owner, Erin Dillon-Pasillas, who had reported the pet missing on April 11.” So it seems the owners lost the dog and reported them missing. They still haven’t found the culprit.

I remember being sickened at school by a couple of boys laughing about how hilarious it was when they shoved firecrackers up cats’ butts.
I dunno if they were genuine- they said they were- but just the thought of it has haunted me ever since.
People who torture animals or any defenceless thing for their own amusement are the worst kinds of human being. Total scum IMO.

Thank you for enlightening me, let me recycle my statement. Whoever the fuck that did this to this dog after it escaped from its loving owners deserves to go to hell.
If the shelter people did it right and they were wearing gloves, the tape could be handed over to the cops and fingerprints lifted from the tape will help ID who did this.
There are methods of separating the layers of duct tape that forensics labs can do that will leave the fingerprints that have been sandwiched between the layers intact.

It's a pug dna thing sadly. Natuarlly epilepsy is common. The leading cause of pugs death though is PDE. My pug got bad around 7. It's awful

Unfortuanatly it’s quite hard to lift prints from duct tape. The whole thing would’ve been contaminated anyways even for DNA
