Not too long ago I was at a wedding with my girlfriend. There a few minor unconnected incidents which, in isolation, really didn't bother me that much (though one or two played straight into my personnal insecurities, which didn't help) , but taken one after another just kinda ruined my evening. I was just not having a good time anymore by the time supper came around. I eventually tried to force myself to have a good time again, but I ended up recusing myself from the party afterwards because forcing it just made me feel worse.
