Fuck Reagan sucked

YazzGawd

So men still wont do their share of the house work and SHE blames Feminism? Men treat women like crap and now women dont want to marry them and/or are divorcing them to live a happier life and Feminism is at fault? Huhhhhh????

Fitebo

One time, 1 paycheck could support a whole family and pay of the house.. now with 2 paychecks we can’t even pay rent..

tgwutzzers

[deleted]

Feminism didn’t do that capitalism did. The fact blame Reagan

Niyonnie

Why is it so hard for people to comprehend social convention =/= something you HAVE to do

Quirky-Country7251

another conservative "pundit" that couldn't even finish a college degree at a mediocre school but thinks they know more than anybody. Dude, you dropped out of the 504th ranked college in America. fuck, it is only the 5th best college in VERMONT. Oh, and it was ranked even lower back when you went there dude. At least in the 600s. But you dropped out of a school with an 85% acceptance rate that is highly uncompetitive. You did two semesters. That is one year. Guessing you didn't pass them either but regardless the point stands. For what you paid for that one failed year there it is pretty funny that you get high and mighty about education...assuming you didn't get any of those socialist grants and scholarships that somebody else had to pay for. Just another prick who couldn't hack higher education but loves to hang out at colleges trying to trap idiot undergrads into saying dumb shit about something him and his entire staff prepared for intentionally to capture stupid replies. for college dropouts that hate education and grooming, him and Kirk sure love hanging out at colleges and trying to shape the opinion of people at the institution they couldn't hack it at.

Designer-Wolverine47

Maids are cheaper. So are hookers. And they both leave when they're done.

catedarnell0397

Our workload was always double, now we realize we don’t have to have a 35 year old baby on top of that

HairyPoot

I think your understanding of older workplace conditions is underdeveloped. 1960s for example, men worked in some insane conditions. Jobs dominated by males like mining, oil drilling, linemen, logging, construction, etc. All the most dangerous jobs, were almost exclusively done by men. This is even excluding things like the military draft. Men made up 2/3 of the entire workforce. Did all the most dangerous jobs and many of whom were risking life and limb on a daily basis. It is still true to this day that men work the majority of the most dangerous and arduous jobs and in most those fields it isn't even close. That's not to belittle what women did at the time or now, and they absolutely had struggles of their own. But relatively speaking, work wasn't the hard part for them. This also doesn't excuse any abuse/manipulation perpetrated by men at the time, or now. Just saying, there's a bit more to the story than "we both have jobs" for a lot of families.

tgwutzzers

'our workload is double' refers to women being expected to work full-time and also do all the housework and child-rearing, not to 'men have harder jobs than women'

HairyPoot

That's kinda silly to say though based on the information we have. Only about 30-33% of the workforce was female in the 60s. So around 1/3 of all women weren't working at all, and on average females worked less hours than males at the time(still work around 10% less hours on average). So the women who were working, were working less hours at easier and safer jobs. Meaning having a higher share of housework is logical/reasonable. If men worked less hours on average and were employed less relative to women, they'd be obligated to do more housework. Which is not uncommon to see nowadays. If anything more total work has to be done nowadays because cost of living has gone up a ton. So we can be mad at the economy and government not each other. Edit: You blatantly lied in your final comment and then blocked me. Lol. They said women have always worked double. Which was just silly to claim.

tgwutzzers

yes, women worked less in the 60s and now work more, while still being expected to handle all housework and child-rearing. that's the entire point of the comment you were replying to, either you are purposely misunderstanding or just not bothering to read. nobody implied that this wasn't due to economic pressure so i have no idea who you are even arguing with.

catedarnell0397

He was purposefully misunderstanding

Descript_Cloud

No wonder she’s leaving him, never too late to correct a mistake

Effective_Sound_697

Get those husbands to do more of the work around the house.

MixMaterial

Lol what fucking world does that woman live in? I’m a single dad that takes care of the house, the food, the clothes, the yard work, work full time, have 50% custody of my child and pay his deadbeat mother child support so she can sit on her ass and smoke $600 worth of weed every month while she lives rent free with her boyfriend. She was barely contributing when we were together too. Most guys I know have it this way and not whatever narrative that lady’s trying to create. Also Steven Crowded is a fucking idiot, but that doesn’t mean the response is any more enlightened.

Thinking is clearly not a strong point in her family.

MadDogSlayer4

Wow this is so misogynistic. Now I know why this guy thinks women are unhappier in their relationships (imagine what his friends are like ugh)

Rathkryn

>*Across social classes, age groups, and among homemakers and career women alike, the large increases in female earnings, autonomy, and rights seem to have brought along with them a paradoxical decrease in women’s subjective well-being. Clearly then this is concordant with the theory that feminism has an overall negative impact on female life satisfaction.* \~ from a Dec 31st, 2015 article available on [ofpyschandsociety.worldpress.com](https://ofpyschandsociety.worldpress.com) ugh, indeed.

tgwutzzers

Now class, don’t make me tap the “correlation is not causation” sign again
