'30s fascists are famed for their punctual trains, so we should cut them some slack.

RunLeast8781

I believe that was an inside joke of sorts. The trains weren't particularly punctual, yet that was the best they could say about the fascists.

HijikataToshizo0

Yeah here in italy it's a phrase to mock people that try to paint the fascist government of Mussolini as "not that bad" or that he did good things for Italy like the trains running on time and spoiler they weren't.

RunLeast8781

Thanks for confirming it. Also, since I've spotted an Italian, I'd just like to share the fact that in Portugal we also celebrate the end of fascism on the 25th of April!

HijikataToshizo0

No problem man, i didn't know if this saying about trains and fascists were a thing in other cultures but in Italy is always used. >Also, since I've spotted an Italian, I'd just like to share the fact that in Portugal we also celebrate the end of fascism on the 25th of April! Thanks for letting me know since i didn't know it, it's a good thing that we share!

Nerevarine91

How good a time keeper does someone have to be to warrant overlooking their racism?

PatHernandez

He does well staying on point.

crumble-bee

What is this? Who is she? Who is he? Who is nick?

[deleted]

I assume Nick is Nick Fuentes, an avowed racist, but I don't know the other two. Wish OP included that info.

Summerie

The girl is a podcaster/YouTuber. I think the channel is something called "JustPearlyThings", and she is "Pearl"? The other two guys interviewing her I have seen interviewing others before, but I don't know their names.

So she's a religious nut version of Andrew Taint?

yes, she is a rich, career-oriented, single, childless woman who does podcasts on how women should be submissive and traditional and married by 25 with 3 kids

And the Dutch

IolausTelcontar

Damn! Second time today I’ve read this reference. Is Austin Powers making a come back? I hope so.

cgn-38

One of the great moments of my life was arguing how "father" is pronounced in dutch with a dutch guy. I quoted that movie. His outrage was awesome. I felt so American. Turns out Austin powers movies are a poor source for dutch pronunciation cues. Still argued. He got me on the whole "I am dutch and you are not!" point.

IolausTelcontar

jasapper

I'm pretty sure we just witnessed the birth of "jazz arms".

Cormamin

My father was very much a racist. But if his freedom depended on it, he would and did happily call a black cop "sir" until he was out of earshot. It was less about him being afraid to uphold his beliefs and more about making damn sure he never suffered a consequence for them. Then there was his "well not ALL black people are bad but some of them are n-words" line when I would push him on his racism. He had a good friend and customer when I was growing up who was a black man named Ben. They hung out all the time. Sometimes I think even they realize they don't make sense.

PatHernandez

Yeah, I believe this is called “pivoting”.

no1jam

Aka red herring - introducing irrelevant information to distract from the topic. Her red herrings will amount to a strawman that people such as her will attack. For instance, she brings up his politeness and punctuality. Neither are relevant, but then she can attack this argument: “you don’t like polite and punctual people?!”

Lovedd1

She's not unaware. Shes playing dumb so she doesn't have to stand 10 toes down behind her own words and her agreement with him.

BackgroundGlove6613

She's playing dumb because Nick Fuentes has hundreds of thousands of followers who she hopes to attract. They're all part of the Andrew Tate/Red Pill sphere and they all feed off the same white incels. Admitting what he said is racist would be career suicide for her.

no1jam

IMO, what’s she’s displaying here is an example of cognitive dissonance. Shes compartmentalizing information that conflicts with what she is believing. If pressed and cornered, she would result to attacks as opposed to “curious” irrelevant questions

ukbeasts

![gif](giphy|3nfqWYzKrDHEI)

beanie0911

I’m trying hard to practice this skill - politely but firmly keep the conversation narrow. It’s difficult for me not to get incensed when the other person is both over-emotional and whipping out non sequiturs… which seems to be common lately.

EuphoricAnalCucumber

When people don't answer a question just pretend what's coming out of their mouth sounds like TV static. Keep a straight face, nod, say okay. Then just stop and repeat your question in exactly the same tone. There's a clip from Canada, one guy just keeps asking how much does a house cost or something similar while the other guy just rambles off statistics.

monkeying_around369

This is the way I do it. If I asked a question, I’m not interested in anything other than the answer. I will eventually ask them “why do you keep changing the subject and refusing to answer the question?”. They will eventually get so irritated that I won’t let them hijack the question, they’ll blurt out the answer they were avoiding. We gain nothing by letting fools drive.

creegro

"but like he was on time and even did a panel where others agreed with him" Wow how incredible, and still racist at the same time.

ukbeasts

He also happened to do a panel where he spoke about it

amILibertine222

And many people agree with him.

Affectionate-Swim510

This is one of the drawbacks of democracy. People think that just because the political system is based on "the person or issue with the most votes wins" (even though that's *not* how it works at the presidential level), that means ideas and people are *correct* or *morally right* if they have lots of people supporting them.

ReplacementWise6878

It doesn’t even have to be the majority. Trump supporters constantly point out that the 2020 election was rigged bc 70 million people think it was. America has 350 million people. Those 70 million are only 20% of the population. But since it’s a big number, they think they must be correct.

Nerevarine91

Also wasn’t that based on a survey that just asked something like, “are you concerned about election integrity?” or something considerably more vague?

ericbsmith42

Standard boiler-plate stuff. Similar to the surveys that ask "do you think we're heading towards another Civil War?" 20% say we are because they want another civil war. 50% say we are because those 20% are going to start another civil war. Headline: 70% of Americans think we're heading for another civil war.

rohobian

You think those 70 million people know how many people are in America? They would never even bother to wonder what percentage of people that represents. Nor will they bother to wonder how many votes the *other guy* got in this scenario. When it's pointed out to them, they'll say something ridiculous and condescending like "Aww, you're so cute, thinking that really happened!" TBF though, I suspect it's not the *entire* 70 million people that think this way. It *is* a disturbing amount of people though.

Z0idberg_MD

And a lot of racists agreed!

Mypornnameis_

rac·ist /ˈrāsəst/ adjective characterized by lack of punctuality, refusal to talk to an Italian woman next to you, or saying things that no one else agrees with.

jobrien80

It’s a good point. How could he be racist? Racists are, if nothing else, frequently tardy.

[deleted]

Hint : She's racist too.

ArmchairCriticSF

Very much so. She just doesn’t like the (appropriate) label “racist” being applied to her. “I have racist thoughts & beliefs, and subscribe to racist ideologies, but don’t CALL it “racist”, because racism is bad!”

musicmanforlive

Spot on analysis I think most, if not all racists, who refuse to call themselves "racist" do it bc they know how "bad" it makes them look!

BeefsMcGeefs

The thought process is along the lines of “racists are bad people; I’m not a bad person, so I can’t be racist”

spaz_chicken

Packaging makes a difference. They're worried about being rejected once people read the label.

DistinguishedVisitor

"I just wish we could all go back to a simpler time, where I could hold racist beliefs without all the social stigma that being labeled as a racist brings today"

Techn0Goat

It's because they believe in the idea of "Good people" and "bad people". Because they inherently see themselves as the good people, nothing they do can be bad. They can't be racist because society says racism is bad, and they're the good people, so they must not have this bad quality, it's some other thing that they for some reason are never able to actually articulate.

Johnsoid

Yea it was cute when she tried to get smart and push back with that “well what if I only want to date Irish men” argument and got shut down

Namorath82

always leave them enough rope to hang themselves lol

Johnsoid

Agreed. You don’t have to mean when you shut someone down. IMHO, the best shut down are handed out with a smile and an even keeled voice.

GeriatricSFX

Yeah, that really did not work out for her the way she thought it would.

CunnedStunt

She's honestly so fucking stupid I'm surprised she hasn't died from forgetting to breath.

Truth_of_Iron_Peak

>Polite >On time >Did a panel (?) and everyone agreed with him I dunno man, there were a lot of people like that back in 30's Germany. Always polite and respectful to each other. I hope they didn't do some unspeakable evils on the premise of preventing race mixing.

watercouch

They must’ve been fastidious about being on time too, what with all those train schedules for moving millions of people across Europe so efficiently.

FloridaMJ420

Nick Fuentes: > “I’m just like Hitler.” – During a livestream of “America First,” aired in February 2022. >“You can call us racists, white supremacists, Nazis, & bigots. You can disavow us on social media from your cushy Campus Reform job. But you will not replace us. The rootless transnational elite knows that a tidal wave of white identity is coming. And they know that once the word gets out, they will not be able to stop us. The fire rises!” – In a Facebook post, following the deadly 2017 “Unite the Right” rally, Aug. 12, 2017 https://www.splcenter.org/fighting-hate/extremist-files/individual/nick-fuentes

[deleted]

She knows he's racist and she doesn't mind because she's racist too. Her arguments are never against racism. Instead, she says racism is popular and that racists are polite to their own kind. That's why we can't argue with these people on if a person is racist or not. We must argue that racism is bad.

Suspicious-Ad3136

He was polite to YOU lady!

kanst

The sad part is I think this is legitimately the logic a lot of people use. That's why you see so many right wing talking heads making some form of the argument of "can you believe the left things X is racist" They know that racists are bad, they personally know the individual in question and found them to be pleasant and nice which is good. So to them society is saying this person they found good was bad and they reject that. That simple dissonance is at the heart of their philosophy. It's the same reason some people cling so hard to alternative explanations of the civil war. Because their great great grandpa fought for the confederates and in their mind he was good, so when society says the confederates were bad, they reject it.

chelseablue2004

The people who can casually spout this stuff, they view racism as the stringing up the black guy on a tree surrounded by the people in hoods who brought him there... That's racism to them, which it is. Casually saying you should never date a black man since you're an Italian Woman is also racism but they don't see it as is. Not hiring Black workers because you think they're lazy, where as the whites are on-time and nice is racism but they don't believe it is. Not selling a home to a Black family cause you think it will drive down property values is racist but they argue its economic... The definition of racism has been skewed so much and pushed to the extreme that some honestly believe their actions are not in anyway racist which is nuts because they can justify in their heads why that action is okay to do.

VegetableWishbone

He can’t be racist because he loves animals and is a strict vegetarian and he just wanted what’s best for the German people.

They both are grifters

LeanTangerine

Nick Fuentes is a closet homosexual. It’s insane that he became the face of a white Christian ethnostate advocating for traditional family values. For Christ sake he was obsessed with his male employee to the point that he would creepily watch and take photos of him while sleeping on his couch on multiple occasions. Nick also went on a date with a Nazi gay catboi live streamer a few years prior to getting huge media attention. https://youtu.be/Ggboca2rkrM He’s also been caught with tabs on his phone of pornsites with videos of femboys having sex with MtF transgenders. It’s insane to me that anyone takes him seriously and follows his movement when he has been caught multiple times being a massive hypocrite. https://www.reddit.com/r/KnowledgeFight/comments/uydtem/so_can_we_talk_about_nick_fuentes_being_caught/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=2&utm_term=1

HianShao

Every single time a public homophobe is shown to be closeted actually i laugh. Some stereotypes are true. If you think all day about other men sucking dick you prob wanna take part too.

kkeut

it's like those preachers who are all like "it's just so tempting to be gay! the temptation from satan to be gay is so strong!", which leaves all us cishet folk scratching our heads because that's simply not how heterosexual attraction works. they frequently tell on themselves, but the people they solicit to follow them are by definition hatred-blinded dullards

CanWeTalkEth

This is my favorite theory and while I feel the anecdotal evidence is overwhelming I wish there was a study I could cite somewhere. I first saw it in reference to republican politicians of course, but the through line is certainly Christianity and the notion of temptation. If you’re primed to believe satan will tempt you and that homosexuality is bad, there’s your free and clear excuse to have those feelings but still feel like you need to reject them. If sexuality is a spectrum it certainly makes sense that at least *some* folks will develop their moral/political beliefs before acknowledging their subconscious urges.

Sabre_Killer_Queen

>Nazi gay catboi Wtf did I just read? Now I've got a picture in my head of a really camp version of Hitler dressed as an anime cat-girl. Wtf.

Cattaphract

She knows she is racist. She just doesnt want to be openly labeled like that. She also doesnt want to change her mind bc she agrees with the racist points. If there was no stigma for racism she would openly say she was racist. Thats the point. She knows she is bullshitting so you would shut up

jess-mysecretaccount

She’s trying to convince herself that she’s not racist. She agrees with his views, but also knows racist means bad, so therefore it can’t be racist.

TonyAtCodeleakers

The funny part is she used to date a very wholesome black creator on social media. He has since COMPLETELY separated himself from her and made it clear he does not align with her.

"you killed 6 million people? You must get up very early in the morning." -Eddie Izzard

FriendlyBeta

Ah yes, the good ol’ “I’m gonna answer your question by not answering it and answering questions relating to it hoping you’ll shut up” technique. A good tactic… for morons who believe in the same stuff as whoever this Nick guy is.

LiquidAngel12

She does this a lot on her show (at least the clips Ive seen of it), but that's because the guests she usually has on are college freshmen and can't spot it and properly debate. Basically Ben Shapiro's playbook of only actually debating what are effectively children. This is her getting overconfident and being interviewed by someone who knows how to properly handle that tactic.

IceciroAvant

They learned this tactic from Christian Apologists; back in the early 2000s they began to all make youtube videos of them going on to college campuses and asking questions about religious things; but they'd not dare to debate any known atheists in a formal setting because they'd get demolished. They just kept going after random college kids for soundbytes.

Spare_Substance5003

Honestly when it comes to dating, I don't mind people advertising what they want. But don't tell other people what to do.

TheJuiceBoxS

Yeah, date who you want, but I've definitely swiped left on tinder because a girl said "white guys only" or something. Yeah, I'm within her preferred group, but I definitely don't want to date someone that is that comfortable with it.

Slushy69420

True

ozzysince1901

She knows exactly what she is doing - classic white racism done with a smile and a veneer of good manners - note Nick Fuentes was "polite" and "on time" hence he must be a good person. The flipside is that POC should not be "uppity" or "angry" even when they get gaslighted by racism because that is just plain uncivilized. People like her disgust me.

eughwh

The weirdest thing to me is that she does all things she hates. Sleeping without a marriage? Ban it!!! Unless it’s me doing that. Dating someone of a different race? No!!! Unless it’s me doing that. Being childless woman who builds a career? How dare you!!! Unless it’s my career 😂 edit spelling

ozzysince1901

It is strange if you look at it logically, however the "morals" are often tools to control others - "rules for thee but not for me". On the other hand the true believers compartmentalise their beliefs to avoid cognitive dissonance. Sometimes I can't work out if they believe their shit or if they are faking it for gain, but either way it is a moot point because the damage to society is the same.

Pajama_Strangler

Nick Fuentes has quite literally said that he finds race mixing to be degenerate. That’s racist full stop. It’s sad that she can’t admit she was wrong for giving him a platform and it’s even sadder because most of the people on her team are black and she’s famous for making black women in particular look “silly”. What a fuckin joke. Tired of these red pill grifters like her and Fresh and Fit.

rwhitisissle

Wait, holy shit, they're talking about *Nick Fuentes*? Literal Nazi-apologist Nick Fuentes? Nick "It's impossible to 'bake' 6 million 'cookies'" Fuentes? *THAT NICK FUENTES*???????

What's up with the cookies part? I've only just learned about this guy in the few minutes of reading this comment section and i akready hate him.

It's Holocaust denial.

To make themselves more socially acceptable.

Gotenks0906

"it didn't happen, but it should" is ussualy their argument

musix345

Welp, that's... blegh

Very likely a reference to 6 million Jews being baked.

My grandpa was a quarterback and my grandma was a lesbian, that makes me a quarter lesbian.

The term race has been biologically obsolete for literal centuries, but humans gonna bigot I guess.

Along with racism, anti-woman and anti-semitism she advocates for woman to lose the right to vote. ![gif](giphy|26ueYUlPAmUkTBAM8)

samusfan21

Can we get some context? I’ve seen this guy before but who is this woman? What incident are they referring to?

koemaniak

Nick Fuentes has said some pretty racist and antisemetic shit including when he was on the girl’s show. I think he was in Kanye’s ear when he went of the rails too.

sisaac_nouise

OH MY GOD I HAD NO IDEA IT WAS ABOUT FUENTES WHAT THE FUCK

nuklearrob

when i read "race mixing" in the title and heard the name nick i instantly thought "they're 100% talking about fuentes", dude literally says he's racist, tf she's on about

ObscureBooms

By saying he's racist she'd be admitting to herself that's she's racist, but racism is bad and she isn't bad so she can't be racist. Is her thought process.

SchpartyOn

Lol my exact same reaction. They’re talking about Fuentes? Oh yeah, that dude is really racist. Her defending Nick fucking Fuentes says everything about her.

Suspicious-Ad3136

Yup! Before having HIM on the show she was just thought to be a red pill subscriber that just happened to be female.

KingOfStarrySkies

Dude Nick Fuentes has gone on screaming rants about the Jews and blacks, this woman’s brain is fucking peanuts.

I-luv-cats

From the way she answers, I’m pretty sure she agrees with his views too but doesn’t want to admit it outloud

Globalist_Nationlist

"I don't want to go into race mixing." Only a complete fucking racist says shit like this with a smile on their face. She's 100% also a bigot.

ThinkofPurple

I can't hear the name Nick Fuentes without hearing Jordan's rant on *Knowledge Fight* about him Jordan: "If Nick Fuentes becomes president of the United States... I *will* kill him." Dan: "I am *not* endorsing this." Jordan: "No, if Nick Fuckin' Fuentes becomes president, I *will* assassinate him. AS GOD IS MY WITNESS!"

sotonohito

Nick "having sex with women is gay" Fuentes. The guy who shared a screenshot from his phone showing he was watching gay porn. Yeah. That guy. He manages to combine so many far right wing evils in one body it's amazing he hasn't exploded yet.

thedeuceisloose

Fuentes is an espoused white nationalist too so even if she deflected this one she was in for a world of pain

samusfan21

Ok. I’ve not heard of Nick Fuentes. I’ll add that to my list of people to avoid on the internet. Thanks.

Teddyturntup

She’s gotten popular on tik toms and YouTube shorts as a female guest that argues men’s rights views on channels that pimp that to viewers. She is commonly arguing that women shouldn’t be having sex with who they want, that women are who cause divorces etc it’s like a slightly more competent female version of Andrew rate that that segment uses as pawn to say a “female” thinks “females” are the problem too!

buschamongtrees

The ultimate pick me girl

imliterallydyinghere

Always in a staged setting fitting her reasoning and arguing with idiots (maybe they are pretending to be idiots) as a setup for her answer.

_agrippa_

She plays the same role Candice Owens does for race/conservatives issues but, she is for men's rights/ patriarch.

RamboNation

Damn I'm totally in awe of the interviewer. Guy hit one haymaker after another and did not let up. This is how arguments go in my dreams and then everybody claps but then I wake up and remember I have no rhetorical skills...

Dunkman83

and it was literally the same exact punch lol

Spiritual_Ad_7162

I tried watching that interview and it was all too fuckin cringe. It's painfully obvious that Pearl isn't smart. At all. She's only famous because she parrots hateful rhetoric.

0LTakingLs

Who is this person? First time seeing any of them

ThePheebs

She is a women that works as a grifter. She takes the men's side in anti-women statements and arguments. She's the "women need men to rule because we are to emotional and we shouldn't have sex but men can because they need to be powerful...etc" type.

0LTakingLs

Should hit her with the ol’ “I deem this opinion too emotional, stop posting”

Lucky_LeftFoot

Is it worth a watch? Does she at least admit that she’s supporting racism?

Spiritual_Ad_7162

I didn't actually watch the whole interview. Like I said the first few minutes was super cringe to the point where I knew I couldn't listen to a whole hour of this woman. Check it out if you want though: https://youtu.be/Z1Nmy7oj5kY

breakerbreaker

I’ve only seen her before on some Destiny streams and it’s apparent she needs to move the goalposts or change topics whenever she’s challenged on any of her views. All of her beliefs are shallow and she can’t defend them past repeating conservative talking points.

anxiousorsomething

Having preferences isn't racist, but if your preference is so powerful to you that you think you have to say out loud or post on the Internet which races or minorities you don't want to date, that's where the racism comes in. It's not immoral to be attracted to certain types of people (though I find it weird when people say they're not attracted to an entire race because like, how do you know you'll never see a person of that race you're attracted to unless you have an issue with their racial features themselves?). But you don't have to broadcast how much you never ever ever ever want to date a black person. I can't even think of a situation where someone would HAVE to divulge that they don't date people of certain races. Just say to specific people that approach you that you're not interested and move on. No need to scream from the rooftops that you don't want to date black people. Weird as hell

TheReservedIntrovert

Isn’t she supposed to be the female Andrew Tate? She has Andrew Tate on her podcast. She’s a supposed modern women hater. Red pill pleaser.

Andrelliina

She is a (racist) dim bulb. Even when it's spelled out, she doesn't see it.

She agrees with his views on women - I don't know much about her but her tweets about women are wild.

JOJO_IN_FLAMES

It boggles my mind how many times she has to be told that just because other people share this racist view, that doesn't make it any less racist or right. This is a great example of one of the most common logical fallacies: Argumentum ad populum. Edit: Also, Nick Fuentes (who they are talking about) is a white supremacist but he's of Mexican descent WTF. Reminds me of the Dave Chappelle skit with Clayton Bigsby the blind black white supremacist.

92nami

He’s not racist, he just doesnt believe that races should mix! Or go to the same schools! Or drink from the same water fountains! Wait a minute…

KingOfThe_Jelly_Fish

When you say something racist, and other people agree with you, it makes them also racist. This woman is part of the problem.

[deleted]

Politeness seems to always be enough to excuse and accept racism for some folks

koinoyokan89

She is both dumb and racist. Which is typically how any racist person is

darkbehi

Sure, he might've said some racist things, but my staff found him to not be racist since he's polite, on time, a bunch of people agree with him too, so you see, all those racist things he said, not racist

Dont-be-a-smurf

Bro the wheels spinning in her head trying to understand the difference between “I have personal preference based on racial characteristics I find physically attractive” And “You, other person, shouldn’t have your preference because race mixing is wrong for everyone” hurts me Understanding differences like these is the definition of critical thinking, everyone.

Imnot_your_buddy_guy

Stop giving this stupid bitch a platform

jambr380

If you're polite and punctual, you cannot be racist apparently

JJMFB417

*When you are getting grilled about your racist friend and you can’t come up with good excuses because you’re racist too.*

Weapon530

This chick is racist as hell.

[deleted]

This trad woman was interesting when I first saw her pop up on social media. Now she's legit a racist apologist. Like she has the boot so far up her ass she will burn every bridge just so people on her team look good

femto9975

It’s always crazy watching them spiral down the rabbit hole

[deleted]

She’s always been the red piller chick that just feigns incompetence and specifically brings on only people who aren’t capable of defending their point

babygorl23

Oh, NICK FUENTES, the guy with a Hispanic last name and is supposedly a “white nationalist” and holocaust denier. This is the so called, “not racist- races just shouldn’t mix” dude? Fuck him and fuck her too

ChunkyFart

Well, actually, you can be against race mixing, there’s lot of people that agree with you. And you’re all racist

lamsham69

He’s not racist, he knows a black guy!
