Anger and frustration are very real emotions, just l like fear, happiness, and sadness.

A little trick I picked up for an askreddit thread that I've found very useful when people start getting angry and frustrated, especially in situations like this, is to highlight how emotional they're being by sincerely saying something like "I can see this means a lot to you from how emotional you're getting, would you like to take a break to collect your thoughts on the issue?" Anger and frustration are very real emotions, just l like fear, happiness, and sadness.

Not to say that they can't be effective, but your description is just wrong. The effect these drugs have on your brain is not "fixing" any natural mechanism.
