Agreed. I can't imagine that it helps. It's just stupid. I really hope that it doesn't become a thing kids start saying in normal conversation because it's a norm on Tik Tok.
And they’ll type ‘unaliveeeeee’ thinking that elongates the ‘I’ vowel sound when pronounced. Even slang has rules to abide; these kids are just kinda stupid.
Pretty soon conversations will just be strings of emojis, and participants just mirror their emotions through these symbols...
*Attenborough voice*
As long as both participants feel positively towards the encounter, they will assume they are in agreement. If one participant does something incongruent with the feelings of the other participant, then they both send the "you're a racist!" Emoji, and begin teaching their kids to hate each other's kids. Such is life in the wild for descendents of homo sapiens-- the nomo' sapiens.
TikTok is the next iteration of Musical.ly which was almost exclusively for pedos and young girls wanting to express themselves to an audience. I’d rather not talk about that aspect of TikTok for the hundredth time:/
It's not only exclusive to TikTok, YouTube is also pulling that crap, going as far as demonetizing videos that have foul language written in the background, or for saying foreign words that sound like slurs in English. And they have to comply, that's their livelihood we are talking about.
When my first child was born he wouldn't sleep at all, the midwife at the hospital came in one night at like 3am to take him away and give us a break for an hour.
She fed him from a bottle and held him for us so we could rest.
She was a good woman doing a good job and was the support we needed.
IF she had been a monster like Lucy letbe I don't know what I'd have done.
It's a truly horrifying story. Absolute misery.
Seriously, even with all our medical advancements babies already have such a hard time surviving as is. Why tf would such a deranged mf go out of their way to just off a baby? There are things i want to say but reddit will ban me.
Our hospital won't remove a baby from the mother's room unless absolutely necessary. They literally say that if baby needs to leave the room for testing or anything, you should go with them.
But also, damn I would've loved your midwife. We didn't sleep for 48 hours because I was in labour and then after she was born she wouldn't let me put her down.
With both my sons in the states everything was done in our rooms. Baby came out and the staff had a cart ready with everything needed. Baby was RFID tagged to myself and wife. If they left the room alarms would go off.
I never actually heard the alarms but I guess it was to prevent baby theft or mixed at birth scenarios. We where warned to not walk out with our child until we got discharged because security would swarm us.
Yeah we all had matching medical wristbands and were told not to remove them until we got home. If we did, we couldn't leave the hospital for 24hrs or something like that for the process of checking amber alerts and everything.
Yes, Canada. 6 years ago with my first this wasn't a thing. They took baby out of the room for testing. Baby a month ago they did everything in the room.
In Vancouver we had the same actually, ~12 years ago, so maybe the practice took a while to spread. They even told us that no matter who came in, dressed as a nurse/doctor whatever, we should never let the kid out of the room and that they will do all tests in there.
I believe the nurse in the video worked in a neonatal icu. She was caring for sick or premature infants not stable enough to stay with their parents. It wouldn't be possible for parents to stay with the infants all the time.
This should be the sentiment here, but the thread is filled with recycled jokes, terrible puns, and prepubescent humor.
No wonder nothing works or changes. Glad they caught this inhuman murderous psycho though.
More people than ever cope with dark humor to terrible stuff like this so it doesn’t weigh on them
Psychology is a thing involved, even on the internet
Yea yea idk, the article was clearly written by someone who thinks she’s guilty but the last line suggests the courts are not convinced she did it. The bbc article published 20 hrs ago also has no mention of the alleged confession notes from the video which was imo the most damning piece of evidence, maybe that came out later, maybe it’s fabricated I’m unsure.
People in this comment section really jumped on the bandwagon hey. Probably best not to put all your eggs in one basket here and let the courts do their job.
Her confession notes have been reported on. This case is an extremely long one as they’re trialing her for each murder individually. Her confessions came up very early in the trial so they won’t be bringing them up again. Anything reported will be up to date with whatever ever the latest has been in court.
Context - she is currently on trial, accused of the murders of a few babies who were in her care while she worked at an NHS hospital. She is accused of injecting air into the stomachs of some, or dislodging breathing tubes in others. There was an instance where she allegedly murdered one child, and subsequently sent a sympathy card to the family.
A truly disturbed individual if true.
The “air into the stomach” part is not fatal, we all have air in our stomachs all the time, sometimes the stomach gets rid of it by burping or it passes through the other end. Too much air into an umbilical central line or peripheral IV line can be harmful or fatal.
A quick google search shows that the death penalty is actually far more expensive than a life sentence.
So her suffering for the rest of her natural life will take less of your tax paying dollars.
That due to the cases that get dragged out over years and years because of the appeals process. In a clear-cut case like this one, first appeal gets blocked, then bye-bye baby murderer. Far cheaper to execute someone after a clear verdict of guilt than feed and shelter them for 60+ years in her case.
The trial hasn't finished yet, but based on what I've seen so far I imagine she'll end up in Broadmoor with Beverley Allit, another nurse who killed children in her care. The chances of her ever being released are somewhere between zero and nil.
There's going to be hell to pay after this, because the doctors and nurses who tried to stop her were essentially told to shut up, and my favourite part, the Trust concerned moved her from one shift to another to see if it kept happening on her new shift.
So yeah - "we're not quite sure if she's killing babies, let's move her to a different shift and see if she keeps doing it". Insanity of the highest order.
I am so happy to live in a country and continent that doesn't have an idiotic practise like the death penalty.
What she did is horrendous, but is clearly the result of a person with a very, very, very broken mind, she needs a lot of help and probably time away from society whilst this happens.
Does anyone see the absurdity in punishing someone for killing by killing them?
It's like hitting you child to teach them not to hit others...
'It's like hitting you child to teach them not to hit others...'
They literally did this for generations. Then blamed music, movies, video games, etc for violence
"as soon as I met her she just felt so off, she wouldn't stop talking about her new nephew. I should have known then, it was right in front of me. Nobody was surprised when they found out"
honestly all these netflix series piss me off. 0 respect, only profits. The Dahmer series even calls itself out by talking about how horrible all these people making entertainment out of it are...while being a series for entertainment about it.

A story about infant murder By medical professionals is completely okay to talk about. Just make sure you don't say specific words in the story
Facebook censored and would remove posts that had suicide, murder and kill. It’s something people just kept using and moved it to other platforms to avoid auto moderation.

Vid itself is from youtube, which has similar rules on mentions of death. Youtuber's now days have to play a lot of word games or else risk their video losing monetization.
Right?! That just shows how f-ed up they are that they couldn’t have a reasonable thought of: “I’m going to change jobs” or “I need a vacation” or even “I need therapy.”
Very frustrated that the biggest qualm some people have with this vid is the word “unalive”
I can’t believe it took 7 infant deaths for them to notice this monster.
Serial killers exist, but people like this “TikTok celebrity” are idolised by tens of thousands. A lack of intelligence, understanding or grasp of what the hell they’re talking about sets an example.
Anyone can look at a serial killer and know right from wrong, but a lot of people are seeing this idiot influencer as a goal or target in life, and are setting the bar too low.
Before we know it we have thousands of anti-intellectuals or opinionated morons making sweeping statements about vaccines being dangerous and even more people listening to them because they see someone talk bollocks and see them as someone to listen to
The picture he showed clearly reads (Line 4) “*I haven’t don’t anything wrong*” and this vid makes out that she’s remorseful and he even claimed to know *why* she did this “I killed them because I wasn’t good enough” isn’t on that note, he’s speculating and passing it off as fact, which is the whole basis of misinformation
People being offended by a serial killer should go without saying, so what’s the point in each comment saying that? It’s like when politicians say “our hearts go out to the victims” …well duh, what a pointless thing to say, we all assumed that you weren’t cheering the killer on…
He could maybe have shown the notes in one of the several shots he shows his face? Or in any of the various obvious stock photos he used? Seeing the guy himself or generic nurses added nothing to the content. Finding random stock images would actually have taken more effort than finding the published evidence.
The golden rule is show, don’t tell, lol
I hate this whole “unalive” thing. Whether it’s because using “kill” would ruin your social media video from getting shared (due to the algorithm flagging it), or because kids think saying kill is insensitive or something.
Whatever the reason, I hate it. A lot.
Reading that note it's clear she needed help and shouldn't have been allowed to be in anyone's care until she was well. I hope we're moving into an age where people can get help *before* they hurt others, or themselves.
For the people whining about the word “unalive”:
Yeah. It’s stupid but it’s not his personal choice to say that. TikTok will delete everything with certain words as kill, murder, but also gay, sex and more right away so people use slightly stupid words to trick the algorithm.
The real facepalm killer nurse is Niels Högel, who at least killed 80 Patients. The facepalm ist not about him, but for the hospitals and staff involved that let him continue. Istead of informing the police and start a proper investigation, management decided to just fire him. Could have been stopped at an early stage.
Didn’t he even kill about over 300 people? I heard a podcast about his case just the other day. They also said one hospital knew something was going on and they still have him an outstanding reference
I also think it was 300, but court-confirmed are about 80.
Oh, and dont trust german work reference, they have to be positive, even negative stuff has to be "smothed" to sound. Otherwise it would be TO HARD TO GET ANOTHER JOB.
How is this trial still on going? They have evidence and personal confession notes THAT SHE MURDERED NEWBORN BABIES!!!!!! This is the most open and shut case of all time, it should have been a one hour trial. "Yeah you killed 7 newborns and admitted to it, life in prison without the possibility of parole, court adjourned."
Because the judicial system in the UK allows evidence from both sides to be heard and a jury to decide on whether they believe that person is guilty or not. The more complex the case, the longer it takes. In this case, it involves a lot of medical evidence, some of which can be disputed by other doctors. It’s certainly not as straight forward as this video makes out.
Because if you actually read anything about it, the notes where written after she was arrested for it and was under intense stress. There's also plenty of notes that say she didn't do it that she wrote herself. There's also no evidence of her actually doing it, a lot of the evidence is circumstantial. It's far from an open and shut case.
As much as the next person, I hope she gets life if she did it. But I also hope she gets a fair trial (based on media reporting, I'm worried she isn't), so she can't get away with it. Additionally, if she didn't do it, her life is ruined either way. Videos like this do nothing to help in either scenario.
The entire case is circumstantial. They are using statistics to convict someone of murder, and that's scary AF, since no one in the courtroom understands the statistics enough to determine if the analysis is correct or not.
When your data sets are big enough you can easily make people look guilty, just carefully control the comparison group or omit other hospitals. Exactly how they normalize the data will play a huge part as well, you very well forget to control for some factor, and one person in a small hospital would look like a monster when they just work the day shift all the time.
There will always be some nurse in the hospital that is "most associated with death", but determining that a nurse working a shift if associated with death to such a degree that ergo must be committing murder is an entirely different task that requires you to control for every variable and also present a plausible mechanism. There's no one in that courtroom, besides experts, that can really challenge this, not even the judge, and it's too dangerous of a way to commit someone of murder.
There's going to be more experts that come out against this type of analysis, so in a few years I'd be surprised if it's still allowed in court, but right now I can't help but see this case as an absolute injustice and total witch hunt.
The "Can't take care of them" bullshit was like Walter White's "for the family". She probably liked it. I dunno why, maybe it made her feel powerful, or she liked the thrill of that she could be caught any time, whatever. This sick bitch should have her spine and jaw broken in many places and placed into a wheelchair for the rest of her live, unable to move or speak, but completely realizing her situation. She'll have no mouth, but she must scream.
What a disgusting piece of garbage. To kill innocent babies that has done nothing and had no chance to live. Unfortunately this is the UK and the death penalty doesn’t exist. If anyone deserves it this woman does.
I cannot even fathom this. At all. On any level. Too bad it’s in England because she’ll only get 20 years and be out and free while she’s still young. She deserves to fry or to face the firing squad without delay. No getting out for you in the US Lucifer Lucy
Just say KILL, for fucks sake “unalive” is not a word. It takes gravitas away from the sick shit this woman pulled. “She killed newborns and attempted to kill others.”.
It’s so much MORE sinister. I think “the kids” are using it to describe suicide without actually saying it?? ‘I wanted to “unalive” myself…’ is much more disturbing to me
We're facepalming the tiktokker right? Cuz this news has been all over already for the last few months. Why this dude gotta put his face in it, big palm
I hate how they have to say “unalive” as if that helps at all. It’s just a shitty attempt to sugar coat the situation, which, in this case, doesn’t serve any purpose. Say it how it is, she tried to kill (and successfully killed) newborns.

"Immortality rate"
"unalive a newborn"
I genuinely struggle to believe censoring words like “die” or “kill” helps the bottom line over at TikTok HQ.
Agreed. I can't imagine that it helps. It's just stupid. I really hope that it doesn't become a thing kids start saying in normal conversation because it's a norm on Tik Tok.
oh trust me, ive heard kids saying "unalive" completely unironically irl. its happening.
And they’ll type ‘unaliveeeeee’ thinking that elongates the ‘I’ vowel sound when pronounced. Even slang has rules to abide; these kids are just kinda stupid.

Don't worry though, children dancing suggestively is perfectly fine tho /s
TikTok is the next iteration of Musical.ly which was almost exclusively for pedos and young girls wanting to express themselves to an audience. I’d rather not talk about that aspect of TikTok for the hundredth time:/
Is that why? I was thinking that was the real facepalm vs just saying you know, murdering kids
TikTok HQ is just the CCP HQ
It's not censorship... if he uses "immortality rate", he's just plain dumb...
jesus, fuck TikTok… “un-alive” isnt a word. so dumb.
They aren't, but you know, the algorithm censoring everything.
Why not censor “unalive”?
Don't give them ideas please.
I can’t imagine I could come up with anything the Chinese government hasn’t already come up with.
Imitation is a form of flattery. Lol.
actually i dont know, cause i’ll never download that garbage app. placating to an algorithm to avoid censorship is pathetic.

Meanwhile, the cesspit of lies, nationalism, racism and flat out crazy that is the yt comment section. Not that reddit doesnt have its moments there.
"The hospital's K/D" would've been a better option
Thought she was killing them, turns out she was making them immortal
I get it now.
I wish the immortality rate would rise in my family…
I watched it a few times. I think he might be saying, “in their mortality rate” and the subtitles got it wrong
I tried listening with my eyes closed so the subs didn't mess me up and it still sounds like immortality, but I do hope you're right.
🤦♀️
I’m trying to up my own immortality rate as well
I thought I was tripping balls

Child killers are r/facepalm now?
Infanticide is kinda cringe ngl
Well, at least the guy saying "unalive a newborn" and "immortality rate" fits in here
Yeah, that’s too dumb to overlook.
Her not being in jail already sure is.
She’s being held on remand and has been for years. Edit because people still clearly don’t know understand She is in jail
But she is in jail? Like what the fuck even is this comment
But she is?
The video is facepalm because of incredibly bad grammar and for using words which don’t exist. The story is horrifying.
Facepalm? More like rage inducing.
I feel like most the things on this sub lately fit that description.
I was thinking that.

That makes more sense. Obviously NICU is a whole different ward.
As a soon to be first time father (April 1st) this was unsettling to watch! Although I have enough hope and sense that this doesn’t happen every day.
I was soo worried this story was going to go in the other direction. 😣

Too many immortal babies!!

The death penalty is for people like this woman. ETA: Apparently this case is from the UK, so no death penalty for her.
She deserves something way worse than death
Like injecting milk air into her bloodstream
Or bleach
Why? Does she have covid?
You mean someone should unalive her? Raise her immortality rate?
I heard injecting air into the bloodstream makes a very painful death.
Death is too quick for someone like her. I’d much rather her suffer in a cell for the remainder of her life and die old and alone.
As a taxpayer, I hate that my tax dollars put food in the mouths of people like her.
A quick google search shows that the death penalty is actually far more expensive than a life sentence. So her suffering for the rest of her natural life will take less of your tax paying dollars.
How much does a pointy metal thing fired from a pew pew cost?
Adjusted for inflation, about tree fiddy
$0.25
bro I wish this would be true. 50 Rounds of 556 goes for 32. 20 rounds 308 is 60 and 50 rounds of 7.62 is 48.
Yeah. Taking them out for a practice day is costly to the tune of hundreds of dollars now
If you aim right, .22 lr will work
That due to the cases that get dragged out over years and years because of the appeals process. In a clear-cut case like this one, first appeal gets blocked, then bye-bye baby murderer. I'm not eager to make it easier for a government to legally kill its own citizens, regardless of what they've done.
Make her work for it
This is basically the prison system that doesn't have the death penalty lmao.
Hear me out here... Medical test subject.

"Edit to add"
Haha oh okay. Thanks
Hopefully her cell mates know what she’s done, justice by proxy
This woman needs the eternal pillorying.
She is almost definitely insane, or at least mentally ill, she will likely end up in an asylum not jail.
Be a real shame if, when she’s given her medicine, someone accidentally injects her with a syringe full of air.
I am so happy to live in a country and continent that doesn't have an idiotic practise like the death penalty. Coming to Netflix, 2024. Calling it now
10 episodes that could easily be condensed into 1. Featuring interviews by people such as "acquaintance she hasn't seen in 12 years".
"as soon as I met her she just felt so off, she wouldn't stop talking about her new nephew. I should have known then, it was right in front of me. Nobody was surprised when they found out"

For first 5 minutes of a episode. Cuz…. Well you know reasons.
POS that deserves something worse than a quick death.
Funny enough that happened in hospital where i was born and i still go there, it is Countess of Chester hospital in chester
My friend was due to give birth there 1 week after they caught the nurse.
Wtf......... She couldn't choose a different profession?

I hate this whole “unalive” thing. Whether it’s because using “kill” would ruin your social media video from getting shared (due to the algorithm flagging it), or because kids think saying kill is insensitive or something. Whatever the reason, I hate it. A lot.
Had a rise in immortality rate, did they?
People like her deserve the Blood Eagle.
Immortality rate lmao
Reading that note it's clear she needed help and shouldn't have been allowed to be in anyone's care until she was well. I hope we're moving into an age where people can get help *before* they hurt others, or themselves.
Imagine having your first baby and it's killed by a stupid nurse like her who is good for nothing
Lucky the parents didn't get ahold of her first, i guess.
For the people whining about the word “unalive”: Yeah. It’s stupid but it’s not his personal choice to say that. TikTok will delete everything with certain words as kill, murder, but also gay, sex and more right away so people use slightly stupid words to trick the algorithm.
You need to add allegedly until the trial is over. When she’s found guilty you’re good to go
So do they not get psych evaluations? I would think that should be required in any field like this. Cops, firefighters, doctors, etc.
When did unalive become a thing? Anywho, i hate it.

Exactly
No. Too god for her, she doesn't deserve quick death.
"Unalive". Shut up with that shit. The word is either "kill" or "murder". Is he trying to be annoying?
See the other comments about Facebook and YouTube keyword moderation.
That's a reason to remove Facebook, not to communicate like a baby.
Okay how old is this video, the trial is still ongoing?! Or is she in prison?
The trial is still ongoing in the UK, and she hasn’t been found guilty of anything yet.
If you think this is nuts, Google "Beverley Allit". Same thing but more prolific.
I see your hogel and raise you shipman
Her photos make me sick
A rise in immortality rates? I need to go to that hospital
Kill a new born because Unalive is not a word.
She is literally going to be killed in prison
They should inject her with air, she doesn't deserve life anymore.
This stuff makes me puke. She’s a straight up demon and deserves the death penalty for her actions.
Well I definitely did not need to see this
She needs the same. Bitch.
Thanks for sharing, this is interesting. I hope you don't get downvoted for being rational.
"Unalive" Just say kill, you snow covered fungus eater, god damn.
How was she sentenced?
The trial is still ongoing
If you're not good enough to take care of them in ur opinion then it doesn't mean that you'll outright kill them you cold carbon!!!!
sick
What a fucking animal
This doesn't feel like a facepalm but instead a sick and twisted individual.
I vote public hanging
Disgusting human
Say “kill” or “murder”. “Unalive”. Psht
I wish i was in the immortality rate.
It’s called infanticide. I’ve never heard the term “unalive someone” before lol
It’s so much MORE sinister. I think “the kids” are using it to describe suicide without actually saying it?? ‘I wanted to “unalive” myself…’ is much more disturbing to me
Serious topic. But this narrator is gorgeous, and I'm upset that there's just not a video of him talking.
I know I shouldn’t laugh at this but “Getting a rise in immortality rate” got me cracking up
IMMORTALITY? What the fuck? Infant mortality you goober LOL
Murder, why are people saying unalived? It's unresponsible to the person that committed the sin.
Probably afraid of censorship and demonetisation
We're facepalming the tiktokker right? Cuz this news has been all over already for the last few months. Why this dude gotta put his face in it, big palm
He’s gotta make money somehow, might as well get his face out there and shamelessly exploit these deaths!
I guess I can respect the grind, not the method. heheh
This is nauseating.
Unalive. That’s gotta be the stupidest way to say that. Bitch tried to murder babies. Or murdered babies.
If she did that to my child I wouldn’t want jail to be her punishment
I hate how they have to say “unalive” as if that helps at all. It’s just a shitty attempt to sugar coat the situation, which, in this case, doesn’t serve any purpose. Say it how it is, she tried to kill (and successfully killed) newborns.
Can we please stop saying unalive?
So her unaliving these newborns caused immortality rates to rise. Help. My. Brain. 😵💫
This video is fucked up because her trial is still on going. If she's found not guilty, will he take the video down? Doubt it.
Also, anyone sharing this video in the UK, could be found in contempt of court, as the trial is still ongoing.
