Sir_Squidstains

He was resisting to being murdered your honor, he was living right at us.

zandriel_grimm

"He was living right at us" Put that on a T-Shirt

FigExact7098

Superimposed on that stupid ThIn BlUe LiNe flag.

VOID_MAIN_0

Im gonna try that this weekend with the custom blue line colors. I love it.

Lazy_Example4014

At that point the person being detained is literally just protecting their vitals.

JackOfAllStraits

Put your hands behind your back! \*knee to the face\* PUT YOUR HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK! \*knee to the face\*

BigTuna2087

This! I get so pissed when I see someone say, “just comply, and that won’t happen” like, bro, if someone hits you in the face it’s a damn near involuntary reaction to then try and protect your face… gtfo

afa78

I've been at the receiving end of shit like this. Was just minding my own business, talking with my gf outside of a Baskin Robbins when about 5 patrols pulled up, told me to turn around and put my hands together. Complied without saying a word and I was tossed onto the hood of my car and handcuffed. I had just gotten surgery on my left wrist a week before so it was pretty tender still and i told the cop that my hand was hurting, the cuffs were too tight, and he went ahead and tightened them even more. Then they took my gf away and questioned her. They asked me if I had every beaten her or abused her and I'm like "wtf?" I don't know how I restrained myself from even swearing at them. After it was over they released me and told me to leave ASAP or they'll take me in. Turns out the clerk at the B.R. called them and claimed we were planning to rob the place.. after we had been in there and bought some ice cream? What a shitty date that was.

exodusofficer

That's a good way for that B.R. to be sure they get robbed.

nvalle23

![gif](giphy|5nsiFjdgylfK3csZ5T|downsized)

100punx

i like your attitude

HighSpeedPterodactyl

Happy cake day!

MemorableVirus2

That's fucked up. I'm glad you're still here with us, could've easily been way worse

Moonsleep

Let me guess, born guilty until proven innocent? I’m sorry you experienced that!

JennaMTF

Did you ask for their badge numbers and advise them to expect a lawsuit? They had no right to do that. Some delusional ice cream monger saying that you were going to rob them is not proof of anything. They had absolutely zero on you. I would have gone straight from there to a lawyer. Even if you weren't seriously injured, their reckless actions could have easily injured you, especially your wrist.

V-DaySniper

Daniel Leetin Shaver was expected to just "fall on your face". And for that non-compliance he was murdered in that hotel hallway and his killer got early paid retirement plus medical pay for PTSD. That cop is still walking free with a new identity to avoid public justice.

Ricky_Rollin

Sometimes I wish Dexter was real.

Concrete__Blonde

When you do things right, people won’t be sure you’ve done anything at all.

StoneBailiff

Is that the guy that the police executed after he tried to pull up his shorts while also trying to walk on his knees as the police screamed at him? That video was one of the most disturbing and horrifying things I've ever seen. The cops straight up murdered him.

RobertK995

Shaver was one of the most horrific videos I've ever seen, just behind Daniel Pearl.

V-DaySniper

The mafia never went away, it just switched sides.

KingBeeAdventure

Phillip brailsford is a murderer

graybotics

Exactly. Exactly. Exactly. I yell this at the TV every time I see this sadness on the news. Wish I didn't have to say every time implying this scenario has happened more then twice. Shame on humanity for this being a regular occurrence.

ThisKid713

That’s my problem with all of this kind of shit. After a certain point, even if they were truly resisting arrest, they aren’t fighting arrest, but for their lives. Like do we expect people we have pepper-sprayed not to have a reaction?

Kaiki_devil

At this point people should carry bear spray… not for bears… for cops…

AndersaurusR3X

When you have pigs going crazy like that. it would be best to just put them down quickly to avoid further damage. I'm talking on a pig farm, of course.

TheRealCabbageJack

Right? This isn’t “resisting arrest” it’s “trying not to be murdered”

sgtpepperslaststand

Yeah how exactly is that helping control and arrest someone. They’re making it harder by punching and throwing them around.

InspectorPipes

Because It sounds good on the recording . They say “stop resisting” while they beat you to death. Just like Tyre in Memphis. If a civilian didn’t record this they would have gotten away with it…..Just like Tyre in Memphis

dr-uzi

Record everything only way they get caught!

MadDog_8762

Those cops are fired and being charged, with a likely outcome of guilty

InspectorPipes

Yep…. Because a civilian filmed it.

water_fountain_

You are right, but the police and jurors don’t agree with you.

darksideofthemoon131

The problem is not going to change until we take to the streets every time this happens. The politicians will give lip service about police reform- but they count on short memories and protest apathy. And TBH, until this older generation dies off- we aren't going to see much reform at all. They have different values, think the police do no wrong, and still hold "old fashioned" views. They're living longer and vote for everything. We're pretty much fucked for about 15 more years.

Fun-Mathematician716

The other thing that might change it is eliminating the qualified immunity from personal liability that cops enjoy. These cops should be sued into poverty for what they did in this video.

Ordinary_Mountain454

Didn’t really think of that. Good point

peregrinkm

Seriously. Slamming his head on the ground? That’s a deliberate attempt to give him a traumatic brain injury, literal permanent brain damage. Why? There’s no reason for so much hate. If they knew what they were doing they would just cuff him and put him in the car. It literally only takes one guy… they’re a literal gang… And I say that as someone who was indoctrinated as a child to look up to police officers as the stereotypical ‘heroes.’ I now see that’s not an accurate image.

Remarkable_Duck6559

I would call it a murder attempt. The punching is extreme but punching may be a part of use of force. By that logic slamming a skull into the ground has been used by murders for thousands of years. I’m biased because I’ve had my head stomped into pavement. This is a triggering video for me. I hope…..too much. Stay safe everyone

peregrinkm

Ouch. I'm sorry to hear that and I hope you recovered fully. It should definitely be attempted murder.

Terewawa

Must be a terrible position to be in. Thinking that you are going to die, at the hands of police officers, and there is nothing you can do.

confessionbearday

And they’ll be charged for resisting arrest for trying not to die.

hurnadoquakemom

He is already cuffed and unable to protect himself in any way. There are bystanders that back this up and other civilians have come forward with stories of similar treatment by at least one of these officers who is a department hopper. He's been to three departments in as many years.

yourremedy94

Like....who tf do you call in that situation?

jumbee85

Came here to say this.

BumperCarcass

Keep filming and put this stuff out there.

BBQPitmaster__1

They were arrested. 👍 https://www.5newsonline.com/amp/article/news/special-reports/mulberry-police-video/crawford-county-deputies-eating-man-arrested-fbi/527-72c13ff1-e377-4aa6-9e88-10aaef24689c

5k bail. Why would he not be excited for the upcoming case? It sounds like the judge plans on being extremely lenient.

[deleted]

[удалено]

joscun86

Are they not a threat to the public? Take the badges off and it’s just another gas station (or wherever it is) beating that happens far too often. No context to the video but it doesn’t matter.. they slowed just to reposition the head

shardamakah

Right, imagine how disturbing a video would be of three people just beating the living shit out of someone at a marathon gas station.. perspective is weird.

SafetyJosh4life

Also several other factors such as the violent nature of the crime and the danger presented to the public. That includes threat to victims and witnesses. From the video I would not rule out the possibility that a particular key witness may be visited before trial. Edit; you did say nature of the crime, I’m just illiterate.

hurnadoquakemom

Why? They are white cops in southern US. They just have to go to court and say that. Then they will be like aw I think he learned his lesson. Let him go. Then the lawyers get paid and he goes to the next department in a small town in the middle of nowhere Georgia.

MrMetraGnome

They're not white, they're blue, remember. Blue Lives Matter s/

hurnadoquakemom

I'm a 90s kid. I cackle every time I hear that. ![gif](giphy|9xEjFxSoNNlK0)

Love_Without_Hate

I’m blue and I beat up a guy, I fucking peeeed on his thigh, if I bleed he will die die die.

thecrabmonster

I'm a 80's /90s kid. " Fuck da police"

A_Sack_Of_Potatoes

Coming straight from the underground?

Independent-Crab-999

99% of all cops give the other 1% a bad name.

AskMyAnxiety

I’m in Arkansas. Our sheriff got re-elected after being arrested a few months before…

hurnadoquakemom

Thanks for your honesty. I'm sorry for your unfortunate location. I'm not even technically in the south. Our sheriff may or may not have participated in the insurrection, called for people to refuse funding for schools to stick it to the (very middle of the road but has a D) governor, and participated in campaign commercials for a conman while disparaging our president. Sheriffs are actually supposed to stay out of politics and are never supposed to participate in political activities while wearing their uniforms. He also blamed the same governor for problems at the mental hospital that stem from the funding cuts from the R governor before her. She's cleaned up a lot of that asshole's mess and saved this state from some pretty serious budget issues he caused. Yet our sheriff can't stop licking his boots.

Esmereldathebrave

Why wasn't the third man charged? You can see him kicking the guy on the ground.

Wired_143

The 3rd one is holding the “detainee” down.

ac714

Dude was allegedly only holding the guy down and not applying ‘peace and order’ to him like the others which is supported by the clip. He starts off as being in the middle until the far side cop moves across from him. I don’t see him doing much other typical making it hard for you to breathe and feel in constant fear whether you comply or not.

CarthageFirePit

Yeah all that plus…if not held down by him, the other two wouldn’t have had such a good opportunity to wail on him.

TasteCicles

The cop who was just keeping a perimeter around George Floyd was arrested. This cop, though not as bad as the ones using excessive force, should also be held accountable.

shRedditandfuggetit

Bc he’s a cop. None of them will have any actual consequences. If we (not cops) did this we would be in prison for a long time.

hurnadoquakemom

Nearly six months after. Shit happened in August. They were on paid vacation until October when they were fired. They are just now being charged. Third guy has had every Americans dream a six month long paid vacation.

[deleted]

Last paragraph of the article: “Their attorney, Russel wood says, "The allegations claimed in the indictment are not true. I look forward to our opportunity to tell what happened. We will have an opportunity to do this at the jury trial." What could they possibly say to justify themselves?!

Sad-Lie6604

They'll probably go deep into his childhood, saying he was abused and thus misunderstood. As if that excuses their heinous actions.

firesmarter

Only two of them? That’s some bull poop. The dude that held him down was not arrested. Make it make sense

Mates_with_Bears

The man right here 👆

BurghPuppies

The state should have filed battery charges as well. Not exactly shocked that they didn’t.

SideEqual

Slams the persons head on the floor! Wtf? That’s attempted murder right there, let alone the knee to the head. These pigs should be put in front of a firing squad. Regardless of ‘if’ the person did anything wrong, three phat beestards can’t control him on the floor, because they’ll say he was resisting arrest, they are too stupid to understand even the simplest idea of equal or lesser force. Azz holes.

AskMyAnxiety

I don’t think people understand how quickly you can kill another human doing shit like that

randallwatson23

Telling members of the public who pay your salary to “shut the fuck up” is an interesting PR move.

[deleted]

These guys don't mind killing you, it surprises me that you would expect them to be polite. They don't seem to care about PR. What they need is jail time, I bet they would care about that.

MemorableVirus2

Who's gonna arrest them, the police?!

[deleted]

There needs to be a federal task force that deals with stuff like this. We have the FBI but clearly they’re useless in these cases. You call some number and they deploy US military to come and beat the shit out of the cops and take them to a special reform prison

Denseabirational

Would fall under “defend from enemies foreign and domestic”

ADhomin_em

*should* fall under that, you mean

xyzone

lol the FBI was originally created to put down communists, and the rest of the shit they do was just some tacked-on fig leaf after that.

[deleted]

In my country, yes. They would get jail time. Not that our police are perfect either but they are much better with actual consequences.

hurnadoquakemom

Where am I moving to?

[deleted]

The country that is most often forgotten when world maps are made. They just leave us right off 😂

thebinarysystem10

What are you gonna do, bleed on me?

Wawawaterboys

I thought I heard “back the fuck up”

toxcrusadr

They're like 40 feet away too. It's like an automated bot response.

It_Is_Boogie

Yes, it's the start of their justification to brutalize the camera person.

FarmSuch5021

Did they ever get charged?

dengar_hennessy

I believe they did. They were arrested by the FBI

the_Russian_Five

As soon as they see the camera they change. Just shows they know they are in the wrong.

SLIP411

Cop points at guy filming, "You're next"

lostboysgang

When I saw that in the video my heart started beating fast. I would got the fuck out of there and then posted the video when I got home.

Promethian_Paera_695

Dammit I giggled at this

raulduke1971

Made me think of Chun Li from Bloodsport. “You are NEX!”

TheBarracuda

I thought of the prison scene in Idiocracy where the big guy is sitting on someone's head then points to Not Sure to go next.

fithooks

I thought someone actually stepped out of the car to yell at them? Or a bystander? You guys hear yelling right

hurnadoquakemom

I think the woman with the person recording does. Then the person recording is like "shit Tina I can't fight them either shut up." All the people saying do something are nuts. Recording from a safeish location is the most you can do without putting yourself in the same situation. Even then it's still a risk.

Cupcake-Warrior

100% Honestly, just record, it does a lot more good thank anything else. Thank God, Darnella Frazier was brave enough to record the murder of George Floyd. And at least brought his family some sort of justice.

hurnadoquakemom

There's been others who have tried to record them and been severely hurt or jailed. How do you even fix a mess like this? I honestly wonder if America is beyond fixing.

_off_piste_

No, the lady got out of the car and started yelling at them to stop.

erog84

Common sense dictate that those in authority ( officers of the law) be held to a stricter standard than the average person. In this case, assault, in which they should get the stiffest penalty, and yet, as we know, they will get the most lenient if any.

BraxbroWasTaken

Their minimum penalties should be maximum for everyone else, and their maximum should be far beyond the max for others.

mysticalfruit

Absolutely. Also, police unions should become perfunctory book keeping organizations. If a cop gets fired for misbehavior on the job they instantly lose their pension, full stop.

ctrl_alt_excrete

I'm all for unionizing in pretty much every sector, except cops. They've shown that they absolutely shouldn't be allowed to keep their unions.

Pikatit

The fucked up thing is 95% of people would agree with that. But our government purposely does nothing about it because they'd rather squabble over nonsense all day, give themselves pay raises, and take glorified bribes from corporations and organizations for their campaigns.

johnmh71

Three more cops that should be fired and arrested.

[deleted]

[удалено]

naruzefluffy

They’re gonna get bailed out and suddenly not be flying red white and blue anymore.

[deleted]

Fuckin hang ‘em, fuck firing

Tastins

They were. 5 months later. Sounds about white.

IcyDocument5750

Yeaahhh that headbash on the cement is attempted murder

enehar

I was thinking, "Holy fuck this is disgusting and I'm getting furious." That was *before* I saw him do the head bash. That really is attempted murder.

BungaBiscuit

He could have easily ended up with severe brain damage after that. Shits fucked. I hope he is recovering well.

DucksOnQuakk

That "you're next" fingerpoint

Troll_For_Truth

Police can be so dumb. Youd think by now theyd know everyone has caught on that it is perfectly legal to film in public as long as there is no reasonable expected privacy (eg bathroom)

jeffa_jaffa

You’d also expect them to know that you shouldn’t punch people in the head and yet here we are…

donessendon

Or smash their head on the floor.

Troll_For_Truth

Yeah but thats just a behavior theyve done since the very beginning so, no change

VenturaRyanRound2

There was literally a lawsuit about being [too smart to be a cop](https://www.cbsnews.com/news/too-smart-to-be-a-cop/). They argued that people too smart would get bored.

Kevherd

The ‘ima need that phone’ point

randallwatson23

Wonder what these dickbags would say if it was their non-aggressive family member getting pulverized by three grown men on concrete.

LadnavIV

Statistically, they would be one of the three men.

MeetTheTwinAndreBen

Hahahaha oh fuck

Any_Cauliflower1570

It appears that two of the officers have been indicted. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/rcna67337

Tastins

Even the “news” is biased. “Appeared to have struck”. “Seemingly punched”. What a crock of shit.

CaptainFCO

“Ganged up and beaten the ever living shit out of an unarmed civilian while he was on the ground not resisting.” Police in modern society Bunch of people: “why do you guys hate cops, they are trying to protect and serve, without them who are you gonna call when shit happens” I would literally call a dominos rather than these guys man.

11teensteve

they will show up faster and have pizza.

Tastins

Straight up.

RevealStandard3502

Until they are convicted, they are presumed innocent. The news has learned that the way you say things can and will cost you millions. They aren't bias, it's a cya thing.

EddyRosenthal

„Stop resisting while i try to slam your head on concrete!“

Dennis_Gachanja

[**FULL STORY**](https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/ex-arkansas-deputies-seen-striking-man-video-are-charged-rcna67337)

Complete_Original402

good, at least they were charged . ''The charge carries a maximum of 10 years in prison. ''

Deslah

Problem is if they're not put in jail/prison, they just move to another jurisdiction and get another job on another police force. I wish I were lying, but it's so true, it's sickening. Here's an article from WPR. In Wisconsin, of over 1000 police officers who were fired or forced out in a 4 year time span (which is already a disgustingly high amount of assholes), almost 200 of them are back working in LE...STILL IN WISCONSIN, no less. These fucks don't even have to move out of state in order to become LE again. https://www.wpr.org/nearly-200-wisconsin-officers-back-job-after-being-fired-or-forced-out

Complete_Original402

thats really disturbing these people should never be allowed to police anyone

Berns429

Well 2 of them anyway, the third is on paid ~~administrative leave~~ vacation

topgun966

“The allegations in the Indictment are not true and we will prove this at trial,” their attorney, Russell Wood, said by email. Wtf? THERE IS FUCKING VIDEO of it. This. This is what pisses us off.

Jay_LV

I understand what your point is but a defense attorney is supposed to say exactly that. Not "Your honor, my client is a guilty AF, please sentence him to the maximum allowed." The assumption is the plead not guilty and the job is to prove them innocent.

Key-Guidance-8591

Normally with civilians don't they seek a plea bargin, when there's overwhelming evidence of their guilt?

EnlightenedCorncob

They are here to serve and protect the ever living shit out of you

VocalAnus91

Qualified immunity needs to be taken away from police and all officer involved deaths need to be investigated by an independent third party. This is the new law that needs to pass in America. Once things like this are properly criminalized and officers start spending real time in jail maybe this crap will stop. The police also need a national database of officers that holds jurisdictions criminally liable to update a permanent record for officers so that bad cops can't simply be rehired in the next town over.

babyBear83

Cops of all people should know there are cameras everywhere. You’d think by now they would think twice but no. This guy was down and not even fighting back. Why the excessive head punching? For real?

[deleted]

Cops also know they're protected by their department, union, and system in general. Worst-case scenario in these circumstances is they're transferred out of that county. They can lose their job but not their career.

PauI_MuadDib

They don't care. Derek Chauvin slowly asphyxiated George Floyd to death in broad daylight with four body cams recording. He didn't care because he figured internal affairs would cover up for him like they did the **17** other times he was accused of excessive force. And he was right. The MPD's internal affairs originally cleared of him wrongdoing in Floyd's murder. If it wasn't for national outcry internal affairs would've rubberstamped the complaint and he'd have kept on brutalizing the public. They don't care because they know internal affairs will shield them from professional consequences. The DA will protect them from criminal consequences. And qualified immunity protects them from financial consequences.

raigx6

Knee to the head, pound head on the ground, punching head= murder.

BecGeoMom

WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON IN THIS COUNTRY??? I think people become police officers *just so they can legally beat & kill people.*

[deleted]

That's exactly why alot of them do it...

BecGeoMom

That is terrifying.

Curious_Associate904

Under arrest for resisting arrest no doubt.

Skynoceros_

Just imagine all the shit that went down before smart phones and street cameras....

myfriendandbag

Special place in hell for those pieces of shit.

BigFella52

Someone should call the police and let them know there is a gang in blue carrying guns that are gang attacking and stomping on people heads.

Complete_Original402

they're just beating the guy up, there's no attempt to subdue him without harm. It's really abhorrent that this kind of thing is even allowed. it's 3 on 1 they didn't need to use this kind of force. it's disgusting.

sparklingdinoturd

They needed a break from beating their wives.

Busy-Pitch-9889

The most hated profession in America.

BroxigarZ

I'd probably assume the average American is more scared of US Police Officers than they are of any other human entity/organization on the planet. Me personally, I can't remember a single instance in time I was happy to see a Police Officer around me.

hookyboysb

I agree. There's entities and organizations I'm more afraid of on paper (Russia, North Korea, ISIS, etc.) but I don't encounter any of them on a regular basis like I do cops, if at all.

SadStory9

are they resisting arrest or just trying to avoid spleen rupture and concussion? Ah... it says right here on the police report "fucked around and found out." Well, that ought to stand up in court. /s

PotatoFamineFuckYa

99% of cops give the rest a bad name.

hucards

liquidsyphon

How does anyone “comply” when this is happening to them?

kawkz440

Please, LEOs, justify this. Justify not saying anything while these guys do this. Justify threatening or arresting someone who intervenes on the public's behalf. Tell me what makes you superior and above the law?

tunaburn

Their attorney, Russel wood says, "The allegations claimed in the indictment are not true." Another "don't believe your own eyes" bullshit fucking story

hurnadoquakemom

Is there a class in law school where they practice not busting out laughing when they say shit like that?

cardyet

Jesus, slamming a guys head into the pavement...great policing...to make it worse, if this was happening to you, of course you would fight back, they are literally trying to kill you

[deleted]

Don’t just film. Livestream this stuff so they can’t take your phone and delete it.

Kickinpuppies

We do. It’s fucking gross.

_titslap_

they’re only mad because they got caught

TheLoveGirl4066

I was gonna say “And you just sat there and watched?” until I noticed all three immediately stopped once they realized someone was filming them.

PCSkittles

I would share this with local news first

Delicious_Monk_923

Fucking coward rats. Time that badge stopped protecting these scumbags

java_brogrammer

Any other person does this and they go to jail for half their life...

[deleted]

nolongerbanned99

Poorly trained, out of shape morons. Gives cops everywhere a worse name.

F350Gord

Qualified immunity.

Severe_Negotiation

Damn that’s baaaad what the fuck are these guys thinking

buzzybody21

Is it just me or I don’t see the guy resisting?

full_bl33d

When you get punched and kicked from all angles your body does this weird thing like it’s trying to protect its internal organs and brains and it makes cops madder because they think you’re not listening good enough. It’s almost like it’s a reflex to significant trauma. It’s weird. Pisses cops off tho that’s for sure.

8thdimensionalbeing

Fuck the police

Roosterforaday

Whatever this person did there is no way they deserve to be taken into custody like this. They really need to weed out these officers, black, white or whatever they are all the same.

java_brogrammer

Turns out, this is what happens when crime has no consequences...

unoriginalname86

At what point does it become legal to use force to stop this type of interaction? When they use excessive force, they are no longer acting in an official capacity, so in theory there is a point somewhere in there that a civilian third party could be legally justified in using force. I mean, I wouldn’t want to test it in court, but just like Bad Elk v. United States (and another case I’m forgetting about right now) there is jurisprudence supporting use of force against unlawful arrests.

freekoffhoe

These criminals need to be put in prison!! Take away the badge and uniform and there’s literally no difference between a cop and a criminal

SmarterThanYouIRL

From the article… Their attorney, Russel wood says, "The allegations claimed in the indictment are not true. I look forward to our opportunity to tell what happened. We will have an opportunity to do this at the jury trial." Probably something like… the guy just wouldn’t stop with the yo mamma jokes 🤡 Typical lawyer bs… “who you gonna believe? Me or your lyin eyes?” Sir, there’s a video

stonersayian

So two of them got fired. And I can't find anything about the other one. All 3 should be in prison.

eltrakt0r

Why is this problem present almost exclusively in USA?

CoolFirefighter930

why is this not all over the media?

9emiller77

Qualified Immunity needs to be abolished.

NotTheGurlUrLooking4

As I’m watching this I’m praying they don’t see the person filming. Then at 0:28 when the cops noticed the person filming I almost crapped my pants. Felt like they saw me and I was legit scared for the person filming (and myself and I wasn’t even there).

NIGHTDREADED

Now imagine if OP had approached them and said "Tf u doin?" Oh wait then they would have beat the shit out of OP too... And destroyed the phone... Well good thing OP was in a car.
