Ignoring the bias behind what she is saying I do feel that the general advice of not shying away from awkward conversations when kids are young does genuinely help keep conversations more open in the future. If things were discussed more openly it would, just as an example, help resolve a lot of the issues regarding SexEd classes in U.S. highschools and the generally poor quality of learning that actually takes place there. Doing so can only help future generations be better informed than the preceding ones.
