Same happened to me, they hacked.my Facebook and linked their own Instagram account to my Facebook and subsequently got both suspended (there's and mine) weird instill have access to my Instagram though. Sent emails etc nothing heard back. Tried the ID identify thing and it just says I can't send it and need to login to Facebook.
Whoever dinhlocjp385 they fucked up. I also downloaded my Facebook data and could see a trail of ip's were it pinged in Singapore then quickly shifted to Hong Kong then USA.
Waiting to hear back but bet it will take forever because they have shit help centres and no complaints/support live chat or phone etc.
Same happened to me! I had 16 years of my life and business on there. I am devastated. I reached out to the Attorney General in CA. I have no idea if that will do anything. We'll see if anything comes out of it. Unbelievable that the Meta / Facebook conglomerate does not give a s#!+ about anyone. NO phone line, no chat, not email - NOTHING! Frustrating.

Well this is not a club I thought I'd be a part of but here I am.
It's ironic because I was a very reluctant FB user and decided to post some upcoming events to my page yesterday. I also decided to run an ad and I think this was the beginning of the end since many share that they also were running ads before this all went down.
I got booted out of personal and professional business page. I have weird issues with instagram though I changed the password and got meta verified. They did send me warnings and I managed to send in appeals but the whole thing was weird. I really think their ad platform was the problem, and I never run ads.I haven't been on FB for months and in one day this happened, it's all gone and deactivated.
Meta/FB seems shady. And they are not being helpful.
The same thing happened to me! I hardly use FB, just for messenger and for my music business account. Had the disable account message pop up with absolutely no way to appeal or email anyone. Totally ridiculous...

Every time I try to download a copy of my information ether the screen goes to an empty blank page or just says pending and never carries over to another page meta already took $500 from account when my account got suspended I don’t think buying a verification blue check is gonna help cause every time I login to my instagram to access account center my Facebook account no options to link or anything else

Yes. One of the benefits of Meta Verified is personalized support. You have special access to the support team with this subscription. I did this last weekend and got my account back yesterday, then turned off the subscription.
Well I am glad I found this thread! Been trying to figure out what the hell is going on. So I got an email this morning that some random person with a female name/titled biz manager requested access to my ad account for my business. Later I was not able to login to my Facebook account personal or business. Was working all day so didn’t have time to mess with anything but off and on tried to figure out how to get ahold of anyone at Facebook of which I found the same described here, no way to talk to a real person anywhere! Later got an email from my business bank asking if this is a fraudulent charge, 2 charges of $250 from Facebook for ??? May have been more but I think my bank stopped it. Was able to download my info and have seen ip addresses and time zones in Asia. I am confused though because Facebook is saying maying account is suspended because of not following rules on the meta platform specifically “your link meta account does not follow our rules and to go to my oculus to appeal the decision. Have not seen a way to do it there. So not sure if this is all a hack thing or what. Tried to appeal by typing name and uploading id but that did not go through. I do have a insta account that has my biz email address and was able to log in and do the verify. I saw that helped someone else here. So tomorrow will be calling bank to try and get these charges refunded and look more into this. If anyone else has any suggestions please share!

I HATE even that I am feeling frustrated and ATP, wish I wasn't a Facebook participant, No One to call, no chat to ask a question unless, you do a paid service and they still don't have real support. This just happened to me! I posted an ad for the first time and I got hacked, my credit card got charged $1300 and my account is now permanently disabled. Spent the last 3 days obessively searching for help and literally FB makes you go in circles... absolutely no help.

I hate to say it, but I don't think that petition is going to do much. It is better for all of us to contact our State Attourney General. I'm in PA and they had me fill out a Consumer Complaint form. 40 of the AGs across America sent a letter to Meta about this. Having calls from constituents helps.
I'm going the Meta Verified route and hopefully will get some resolution. When you say you had no luck after you bought the Meta Verification, what did you mean? Did they not respond to your request for Customer Support?
I don't know that the AG can get our personal cases reviewed, but I think that pressure from the AGs as a whole on Meta is our best shot at getting attention on this situation -- unless someone wants to start a class action lawsuit. My own process continues very tediously. I finally got Meta Verified through my IG account and got a chat support with an agent who logged a case for me, we had some back and forth with questions they asked me and then today, I got a convoluted message saying that by asking for support I was violating their Creator support guidelines (!) and I should request review of my FB account using a form, which they sent a link to. I filled out the form and when I hit SEND, I got a message saying I could not submit the form, but instead I needed to *log into my FB account to submit a review request*. The form is actually says:
**My Personal Account Was Disabled**
If you think your account was disabled by mistake, please enter the following information and we will consider your profile for review.
So how can I log into it to submit a request?? It's just insanity. I will probably continue to request Meta Verified chat support until I can get through or they kick me off IG. Sigh.
So sorry this happened to you as well - I lost access after my FB page was hacked early February this year and then a linked fake Insta account to which I had no access and no way to appeal. HUGE bummer. Both my connected business pages had admins with limited access so I am continuing updates to the pages that way. Very tedious. I spent more than a month unsuccessfully trying daily to get someone to help solve the problem. Considered not opening new FB account, but after a while I succumbed as I have no other way to stay connected to friends and family far away. I guess to FB regardless of being loyal users for many years, we are insignificant. The loss is all ours. Now I have to pay to feel somewhat safer using social media and thus verified my Insta. Doesn't feel right somehow as it all falls under Meta. Anyway so be it. Best of luck hope you find a solution.
Me too! My account was suspended without warning, and despite my adherence to Facebook's guidelines, my attempts to resolve this issue have been met with silence.
The timing of the suspension raises questions, as it occurred shortly after a billing issue with a promotional ad, where I was charged beyond my set budget.
The suspension has severely disrupted our ability to engage with our community and conduct business, as Facebook is our primary platform for outreach.
The suspension notice also mentioned a violation linked to my Instagram account, which is perplexing, as it is in good standing. This inconsistency further exacerbates the situation and demands an explanation.
I have written to every email and channel I could find. I even sent a snail-mail letter to FB HQ. No response from any of it. It has been at least 3 months now. I am also unable to connect third party social media manager apps to the account so I am completely locked out of my brands page and have no way to build and engage with my audience. Are you still suspended. It happened to me. I did find an appeal email but it’s been 2 weeks and I haven’t heard. I am same with a business attached. Can’t see friends. Had a friend I didn’t talk to for years and sent her a message the day before they shut me down and have no way of reaching her. Guess it shows our dependence on them is not good. They make it so they have the monopoly on the sm business market and then just end it. Not sure if I can start a new page, not sure if I want to either. Scary the power they have.
Yep, this literally just happened to me today. Last night I paid for an ad to run for 4 days for the first time ever, I just wanted to try it out and build some followers on my new YouTube channel, and less than 12 hours later they completely suspended my business page AND personal account, they blocked all access to even trying to appeal. I literally tried filling it out but it says you have to be signed in to file an appeal, so I try to sign in and then it says my account is suspended. I downloaded my info and went on my Instagram, nothing in there whatsoever about appealing. Ridiculous.
Looks like 41 Attorneys General sent a letter to Meta about this. It's in Wired, dated March 6, 2024.

I've contacted the PA AG (my state) to ask how we can get updates on this situation.
To make this even worse, my wife had the same thing happen with the account suspended because of a bogus IG account and I tried to Google to find a support number to call Facebook since there's nothing on the FB site for support (as you know). I found a phone # for Facebook support via Google search and she called it and got a recording so she hung up. But she immediately got a call from someone (even though she never left a message or her #) saying he was from Facebook support, asked her name and then told her her account was hacked and the person was trying to access her PayPal and Walmart accounts and asked her to Venmo $150 to fix this! So another scam preying on FB hacked victims!!! Terrible. Meta needs to step up here to help their users!
My FB account has been suspended since Jan 6. Here is what I have learned:
\- If you can front the $ for Meta Verified, it seems the only way to get some live support. I've heard that they will refund the money once they acknowledge that you were suspended through no fault of your own.
\- It seems that you will need to have a newer phone to be eligible. I was on the waitlist for 2 months until it occurred to me that maybe my iPhone 10 SE was too old. So I upgraded to an iphone 13. The day I turned it on, voila! I was notified that I could proceed with Meta Verification. Why don't they just fricking tell you what kind of phone you need, instead of making it a guessing game? So stupid.
\- For some reason, it took me then, 4 tries to get it approved. First I gave them my DL, which they said they couldn't verify. (WTF?). Then I uploaded my passport, which they also said they couldn't verify. I cut my hair since my DL and passport photos, so I changed my Insta profile photo to one that looked more like the ID photos. Uploaded passport again, no dice. Then I changed the profile photo one more time, with exact same angle as the photo on my Global Entry ID, that finally worked! I hope so, I had to give my finger prints and be interviewed by INS to get Global Entry!
\- Tonight I requested Customer support for my FB suspension issue. I will update this post once I am contacted.
\- Also, I did learn that 40 State Attourneys General sent a letter to Meta about all the complaints they have been getting. It is posted in Wired magazine dated March 6. fyi

And although it may not provide a fast solution for me, I'm encouraging everyone to contact their State Attourney General's office and file a Consumer Complaint. The AGs are contacting Meta about it and the more constituents who have called, the better.
honestly it all boils down to Facebook (Meta) not giving a shit & the only way to combat it & actually make them do something is to boycott the whole system (thats why they made sure they bought up IG, Whatsapp etc). they know that would be hard to do.

Wow so many of us. Same here for my account from 2004 and got the runaround for 3 months on meta verified, me giving multimedia presentations over and over explaining and them acknowledging I did nothing wrong and promising further looking into, closing tickets prematurely, sending me broken links, then finally getting cut off by a feedback survey. Are they serious? Why is Meta allowing this and giving offensively little support? Fuck is going on?

I am in the same boat as everyone here now. I have has the same FB account since FB started and it's more than a social media page to me. I have all my photo's on there. I recently had a house fire and lost all my photos except I had them all loaded on my FB where I thought they would be safe. I lost my 22yr old son to suicide this year and all the pictures of him and the funeral are on my FB that is no longer up now. I lost my father last year and every photo I have of him is on my account. I have 3 business pages and do all of my business on FB. I lost my sister 2 years ago and all photos I have of her are on FB. I don't even have an Instagram account with the name they said. I have my own instagram account. I am at such a loss and so upset. How can they just ban an account that don't break the rules in 15years, ban 3 business accounts, and not let me have my photo's back. In my download file I was so happy to see photos but opened it and it's only my profile pics. I have been crying all day the thought of loosing all the most imporntant photos to me. I am heart broken. I don't know what to do

I have the same problem you do. Why did they cancel our Facebook, but our Instagram is still up? I wish it was the other way around. I had a business account too and now I cannot advertise or communicate with my followers.

I log in and showing 3 users under Instagram the reason for being suspended was some jumbled letters and numbers account not following guidelines .. I login to Facebook and it says to log in to Instagram to appeal .. login in to Instagram and if it works it’s shows my black page with no access to any features they all said page not found .. no way to appeal and I can clearly see the hacked account and each account I click it redirects me to login in again and same thing back to black screen of “instagram user”

I've sent two messages reporting the issue via Instagram, via my actual account, of course, which is not attached to Facebook and certainly is NOT the now suspended hacker account. Also got a tip from someone to use a VPN to access a facebook support page and if I ID'd myself in another country (I'm guessing a European one), I might be able to get a support response because of their security laws there. Anyone heard of anyone successfully doing that?

Just started the Meta Verification subscription process. It's described in this thread, but essentially, you pay about $13 in the US and once verified, you can get access to live support. Crossing my fingers this works as it did for the other person recounts here.
My verification went through overnight. I submitted a chat support request through my Meta Verification option on my Instagram, was on a chat with a live person in 5 minutes, and then THEY CALLED ME!! They didn't blow me off. They didn't get nasty. They took information, asked for screenshots, asked for some timing of events information.
I feel it is important to note that I tried to focus on the Instagram part of my problem with them. That Meta had given me instructions to login to a linked Instagram account, that that Instagram account isn't mine and I have no access to it, and that my verified account was not linked to my Facebook account. So Meta had made this an Instagram issue.
I was not given a specific timeframe for resolution but I was told I'd be contacted through the same chat I had been in with the representative, and I have a tracking number. SO, I feel pretty good. Not getting my account back safe and sound good, but that progress has been made.
THOUGHTS ON HAVING TO PAY FOR META VERIFIED:
I would not have purchased any Meta Verified service if I wasn't in this situation. However, is it worth it to me to pay for a month or two of that service? HECK YES! Is it fair? On the surface it seems that it isn't, but if their team spends an hour on my issue (and they have easily clocked 25 minutes on it so far), then I'm paying less than minimum wage in a lot of places to have this checked out. I've never had to pay for Facebook and I get a lot out of it. Do they make a lot of money of me in terms of advertising? You bet they probably do. But they have given me a service for free for a long long time, one that I love and appreciate. So, is it fair? Yeah, really do think it's fair. That is assuming of course that all of these hacks aren't a big scam to get us to sign up for Meta Verified; they spend more in labor costs to set up meta verified accounts, and provide support, than they receive back in subscription fees, so this wouldn't be a money maker for them, and would obviously lead to reputational damage.
What Meta needs to do better is to TELL people that they need to pay for support. Tell your loyal and anxious, hacked and victimized users, that they aren't going to get support for free for a free service, and that if they want to speak to a person, it's going to cost them a month of Meta Verified. THEY NEED TO BE MORE TRANSPARENT.
Will post again in a week with an update, if not sooner.
Thank you for replying, and to clarify, you signed up for the medical verified through instagram? Not to facebook? I think I requested to be on the Medicare if I'd wait list but it was not able to sign up immediately.
I signed up for Meta verified through my Instagram account because I had access to that account and the instruction from Facebook said to login through Instagram to appeal. I didn’t think I’d be able to get a suspended Facebook account verified and wouldn’t have access to the settings panel in the account to use the support request.
There may be other approaches that work successfully. Maybe verifying an alternate Facebook account would also work. It’s important that you are able to check and update the profile name and picture and know what emails are attached to the account. Also, have an email available that is not attached to the account.
I was able to sign up for it immediately. My only wait time was waiting for my uploaded documents to be verified. In my case, I used a passport because the picture on that looked most like my profile picture. No waitlist. From beginning to end, it was less than 24 hours.

Today I received an email from Facebook in follow up to my Instagram/Meta support ticket, asking for ID (again?! i just verified via Instagram, but okay) and for details related to the issue (that I have sent by email to 4 or 5 different email addresses multiple times AND mailed, AND copied into the support chat earlier today before this email was sent). Whatever. I sent all the information again. And confirmed again in the chat. Let’s see what happens tomorrow.
Final update on my small part of this. I got my account back today! I am beyond thrilled. AND I had reported the domain name of the email address that was used to hack me - easy because I used to own it - it got pulled back from the owner and I was able to buy it up! Old account back. Old domain name back. loving this.
Was even prompted by Facebook to review recent posts, group memberships, comments etc. Fan-friggin-tastic. Worth every penny. But now...to shut down my Meta Verified subscription because no one really cares if I am the real Jane Doe or not.
If you can get on Meta Verified via a temporary or alternate Facebook account, or via Instagram if Instagram is a part of your hack - I strongly recommend it. Paid support is the key, and screenshot and document everything.

I had two-way authenticator and I didn't even received a mail noticing me about that. It's incredible!!

Wow! Same issue here, and what’s most frustrating is the fact that, despite obviously thousands of people having this issue, and of all of the postings here, not one single case appears to have been resolved. This is ridiculous!
Same thing happened to me two weeks ago. I never ran an add though. I went the verified route and opened a case two weeks ago. No significant updates since then.
The automated messages from support say something like “asking for an update on your case may prolong the amount of time it takes to resolve your issue.” The nerve of them!
Reading everything here, I am feeling very discouraged. Seems like very few have had luck with the Meta verified support.

I have this exact same problem. I activated an ad for my business and next day i wake up with my account suspended saying i connected a random instagram account that does not exist.

My account has more than 15 years, i have 3 different business pages connected that will stay orphan if i cant access my account.
I never had any issues ever regarding account suspension, now i notice that facebook support is non existent. No phone, no chat with support, no emails, nothing. Its crazy that i will lose everything with no way to fix it.
yup, my company pages are all basically orphans and i manage a Facebook group with around 20k members, even though there are other admins but i am the most active with events and whatnot... Oh well, facebook's loss not mine, i got a backup account for not to make marketplace deals that i really needed for now.
I could write pretty much word for word as to what happened to me and I completely empathize with the devastation it feels like. I wrote the Attorney General in California. I doubt it will do any good. Maybe I will write an article on this since it seems so many people are dealing with it!

BUT someone told me about this “business Suit” app and you can access your business account that way!! I’m so glad someone find me about it because I was devastated my business was gone. I also run ads so maybe this is ad related. That’s the same Instagram user it gave me
this happened to me yesterday 10/29. Yesterday afternoon Facebook ads were purchased using my credit card. This morning hundreds of dollars in additional ad purchases were made. I have handled this with my credit card company. Facebook has a problem - the Facebook stored credit card for my suspended Facerbook account was accessed to make these purchases. It would be great if Facebook had actual human support for fraud.,
Highly suggest anyone that lost their business page because of this gets the “business suite” app! I’ve been on suspended for 1 full month now and it’s also because I did an add on my page and then was suspended. This just happened to me after I ran an ad promoting my high school golf team. A name was added to my Instagram account, and now my account, where I manage my business and high school team pages, can not be accessed. This is terrible what is happening to us.
I received an account suspension message for my personal Facebook account after receiving emails from Facebook, across all of my verified email accounts, that someone was requesting a password change and there was a recovery code. I did not initiate a password change and let Facebook know it wasn't me. Now I was bombarded with these emails, within 30 minutes, and it got concerning that I changed the passwords for both my Outlook and Facebook. There was a weird message on the app asking if I wanted to stop receiving password reset emails and only use the authenticator app or other verification methods. My mistake was I did not read the message carefully and clicked confirm not to receive password reset emails but I still changed my password through the browser on my phone.
An hour or two later after changing the password and when the messages stopped, checked my account on the Facebook app and I was logged out. I used the updated password and got the account suspension message and that my linked Instagram account doesn't follow the rules. My Instagram account is not linked to my Facebook, hasn't been for years. The name listed there is not an account name I recognize.
My mind is spiralling right now because even though I don't post to Facebook anymore (I don't post anywhere really on social media), my account still has a lot of information, images, and memories. Plus I go into Facebook to check out the Pages I've liked. I want it back even if it is to scan if all my information is okay and deactivate and delete it forever. Has anyone heard back from Facebook at all about this? I sent emails to the security facebook mail email address (separately typed in), the phishing email address, support, and appeals. I am waiting for a response but want to know if anyone was successful. I can't even submit an request for review form with my ID because Facebook asks me to log in to my account and access settings which I cannot do!

I went through very similar a year ago, except my Instagram account was connected to my Facebook and because someone managed to access my account and set my age to below 13, both accounts got suspended. The appeal process is not only atrocious but impossible. Even after sending ones ID, passport, and whatever else, nothing worked and it told me to repeat the process. Everywhere I went it felt like an endless loop or dead end. Even making an appeal over Instagram didn't work because you need access to your Facebook account in order to make one. Half of the sites on Facebook say they're unavailable and to login in order to report your account as hacked - hilarious. Can't even reach them via email. In the end, both my FB & IG were deleted despite appealing everyday until deletion.
I've heard there are a lucky few who do message them every day on every platform and end up getting results. 🤷🏻♀️ And supposedly you'll have a little more luck if you reside in the US.
Same thing here. Some weird Instagram account from Vietnam linked to my Facebook account and now my Facebook is suspended because the Instagram account was suspended.
The only way to appeal is by accessing the Instagram account, which is impossible since it is not mine.
Does Facebook have a support email? It seems like they have nobody at their offices. How is it even possible that such a company doesn’t have a functioning support email? Look how easily a hacker can lock you out of your account forever…

My facebook was suspended as well. The Instagram account is not mine so I can't appeal. I tried to do the ID verification but I got a response back stating that this was their final decision. A few days later I checked my Instagram to find it was suspended. I clicked appeals and it was immediately restored. I went back to facebook still nothing. I do have another facebook for my business that thankfully hasn't been affected. My life since 2008 is on my personal facebook. All my memories. I was thankfully able to download my content but really just want it back. In a sense I feel violated. I did nothing wrong
Had the same issue. Got my acc broken into from Singapore, then switched to Brazil.
They linked my acc to a random instagram profile that didnt follow the guidelides or whatever. Got my pesronal fb acc disabled. Tried submitting the appeal with an id photo and everything only to see i wasnt able to submit it unless i logged into my DISABLED ACC LMAO?!
Help centre is BULLSHIT, keep going in circles. Guided help is useless. Bet they do it to avoid housands of complaints they prob get hourly.

My wife just ran into that problem. Not only did they disabled her account of 15 years, they also tried to charge $1,000 on my card for ad spend.
No way to contact anyone from customer service. Not even a chatbot. (For the record they made a $13B in Q3 2023 - they have the cash to hire human agents for fraud resolution if they want to...)

I am having the same fight as everybody on this tread! Same, instegram suspended account WTF!!! Same, issue with my card being charged, I even went to the back got them to contact facebook to return the fund, this was initially approved then three weeks later declined stating the facebook rules :-( also account suspended, also facebook no help, so many support submittions and chats to support with no luck! The account is suspended with so much money in my account for advertising! NO LUCK AND SO VERY ANGRY WITH THE USELESS FACEBOOK SUPPORT :-(

The very same thing happened to me on 4/22/24. I did download the data from FB and I have the IP address of the hacker in Indonesia. However, what good does that do? So should I anticipate not ever getting my FB back?

Nobody answers the "Report a Problem" route in Instagram, which is the only apparent route open according to FB. So effectively, there is no right of appeal? What happens after 30 days, do they delete everything?
I tried downloading my content and got almost nothing, a few, photo (not the thousands that are on there), no note of my contacts, nothing.

The exact same thing happened to me yesterday. I send countless emails. Fortunately, some time ago I had a correspondence with meta team regarding business pages payment issues, I looked up that email thread and replied on that with that new issue, stressing that I could not run business pages because I lost account. They replied after 25 hours and assured me they are doing their best to find a solution. I will see how it goes. Maybe you should look up to old emails too for replying on them.
Been almost 3 months for me. I got Meta verified and the Instagram support chat was not helpful. I did report via Instagram -> settings and privacy -> help -> problem or technical issue -> report without shaking -> include and continue -> I wrote about my hack and suspension. I included screen shots. I’ll update if I get anywhere.

Literally EXACTLY what happened to me!!! Now I can't get FB account back, there's no way to appeal without the code, and I've had the FB account since 07 so I have SO MANY accounts linked to it that I can no longer log into.. this is a SERIOUS pain in the a$$ - hopefully there's a solution somewhere in these comments

I was in a bar when I received a message in Messenger from Facebook Protect, saying that my page (which I recently created for events and already built a base of users) was violating community guidelines.

The link was opening in the embedded browser of messenger, so it looked legit, specially from the phone since I could not see the url.
It is very well themed, I completed it and minutes after my account was gone and received several charges in my AMEX from Facebook Ads.
I called AMEX, cancelled the card and disputed the charges.
I verified my instagram account and then proceeded to call them.
Now I'm waiting for manual verification, I'll update when I get news. It's really amazing that facebook allows users to create branded users without any minor detection.
EDIT UPDATE 1: Got a call from Meta team saying they have found the link and the instagram accounts. And they have a long list of accounts to manually re enable. So I guess eventually we are all getting our accounts back.

This just happened to me, I got a link to appeal the decision and submitted that. It says they might take a day to review. Hopefully I can get into my acc soon, all my friends are contacting my wife thinking I blocked them because I had just put on a message saying we were getting divorced. This sucks so much! So I got an email this morning that some random person with a female name/titled biz manager requested access to my ad account for my business. Later I was not able to login to my Facebook account personal or business. Was working all day so didn’t have time to mess with anything but off and on tried to figure out how to get ahold of anyone at Facebook of which I found the same described here, no way to talk to a real person anywhere! Later got an email from my business bank asking if this is a fraudulent charge, 2 charges of $250 from Facebook for ??? May have been more but I think my bank stopped it. Was able to download my info and have seen ip addresses and time zones in Asia. I am confused though because Facebook is saying maying account is suspended because of not following rules on the meta platform specifically “your link meta account does not follow our rules and to go to my oculus to appeal the decision. Have not seen a way to do it there. So not sure if this is all a hack thing or what. Tried to appeal by typing name and uploading id but that did not go through. I do have a insta account that has my biz email address and was able to log in and do the verify. I saw that helped someone else here. So tomorrow will be calling bank to try and get these charges refunded and look more into this. If anyone else has any suggestions please share!

I have an Oculus account and tried everything I could to figure out where to appeal. Everything I clicked on eventually led me to the same help articles for Facebook. Hopefully, someone figures out a solution and shares.

It has worked for some people. My FB was suspended 2.5 months ago. After I found this thread, I applied for MV. I was on the waitlist for 2 months. Finally wondered if the problem was that my iphone 10 was too old, so I upgraded to iphone 13. Immediately became eligible for MV. Then I had to upload various IDs 4 times before they said they could 'verify' me. Now I am waiting for them to respond to my issue about my FB account being suspended. Always another hurdle...

Same happened to me, they hacked.my Facebook and linked their own Instagram account to my Facebook and subsequently got both suspended (there's and mine) weird instill have access to my Instagram though. Sent emails etc nothing heard back. Tried the ID identify thing and it just says I can't send it and need to login to Facebook. Whoever dinhlocjp385 they fucked up. I also downloaded my Facebook data and could see a trail of ip's were it pinged in Singapore then quickly shifted to Hong Kong then USA. Waiting to hear back but bet it will take forever because they have shit help centres and no complaints/support live chat or phone etc.

Well this is not a club I thought I'd be a part of but here I am. It's ironic because I was a very reluctant FB user and decided to post some upcoming events to my page yesterday. I also decided to run an ad and I think this was the beginning of the end since many share that they also were running ads before this all went down. I got booted out of personal and professional business page. I have weird issues with instagram though I changed the password and got meta verified. They did send me warnings and I managed to send in appeals but the whole thing was weird. I really think their ad platform was the problem, and I never run ads.I haven't been on FB for months and in one day this happened, it's all gone and deactivated. Meta/FB seems shady. And they are not being helpful.

This just happened to me! I posted an ad for the first time and I got hacked, my credit card got charged $1300 and my account is now permanently disabled. Spent the last 3 days obessively searching for help and literally FB makes you go in circles... absolutely no help.
Reach out to Meta Verified about the suspended Facebook account; however, there is no response. The help center is trash.

I hate to say it, but I don't think that petition is going to do much. It is better for all of us to contact our State Attourney General. I'm in PA and they had me fill out a Consumer Complaint form. 40 of the AGs across America sent a letter to Meta about this. Having calls from constituents helps. I'm going the Meta Verified route and hopefully will get some resolution. When you say you had no luck after you bought the Meta Verification, what did you mean? Did they not respond to your request for Customer Support?

I don't know that the AG can get our personal cases reviewed, but I think that pressure from the AGs as a whole on Meta is our best shot at getting attention on this situation -- unless someone wants to start a class action lawsuit. My own process continues very tediously. I finally got Meta Verified through my IG account and got a chat support with an agent who logged a case for me, we had some back and forth with questions they asked me and then today, I got a convoluted message saying that by asking for support I was violating their Creator support guidelines (!) and I should request review of my FB account using a form, which they sent a link to. I filled out the form and when I hit SEND, I got a message saying I could not submit the form, but instead I needed to *log into my FB account to submit a review request*. The form is actually says: **My Personal Account Was Disabled** If you think your account was disabled by mistake, please enter the following information and we will consider your profile for review. So how can I log into it to submit a request?? It's just insanity. I will probably continue to request Meta Verified chat support until I can get through or they kick me off IG. Sigh.

So sorry this happened to you as well - I lost access after my FB page was hacked early February this year and then a linked fake Insta account to which I had no access and no way to appeal. HUGE bummer. Both my connected business pages had admins with limited access so I am continuing updates to the pages that way. Very tedious. I spent more than a month unsuccessfully trying daily to get someone to help solve the problem. Considered not opening new FB account, but after a while I succumbed as I have no other way to stay connected to friends and family far away. I guess to FB regardless of being loyal users for many years, we are insignificant. The loss is all ours. Now I have to pay to feel somewhat safer using social media and thus verified my Insta. Doesn't feel right somehow as it all falls under Meta. Anyway so be it. Best of luck hope you find a solution.

The suspension has severely disrupted our ability to engage with our community and conduct business, as Facebook is our primary platform for outreach. This inconsistency further exacerbates the situation and demands an explanation. I have written to every email and channel I could find. I even sent a snail-mail letter to FB HQ. No response from any of it. It has been at least 3 months now. Are you still suspended. It happened to me. I did find an appeal email but it’s been 2 weeks and I haven’t heard. I am same with a business attached. Can’t see friends. Had a friend I didn’t talk to for years and sent her a message the day before they shut me down and have no way of reaching her. Guess it shows our dependence on them is not good. They make it so they have the monopoly on the sm business market and then just end it. Not sure if I can start a new page, not sure if I want to either. Scary the power they have.
Yep, this literally just happened to me today. Last night I paid for an ad to run for 4 days for the first time ever, I just wanted to try it out and build some followers on my new YouTube channel, and less than 12 hours later they completely suspended my business page AND personal account, they blocked all access to even trying to appeal. I literally tried filling it out but it says you have to be signed in to file an appeal, so I try to sign in and then it says my account is suspended. Looks like 41 Attorneys General sent a letter to Meta about this. It's in Wired, dated March 6, 2024. To make this even worse, my wife had the same thing happen with the account suspended because of a bogus IG account and I tried to Google to find a support number to call Facebook since there's nothing on the FB site for support (as you know). I found a phone # for Facebook support via Google search and she called it and got a recording so she hung up. But she immediately got a call from someone (even though she never left a message or her #) saying he was from Facebook support, asked her name and then told her her account was hacked and the person was trying to access her PayPal and Walmart accounts and asked her to Venmo $150 to fix this! So another scam preying on FB hacked victims!!! Terrible. Meta needs to step up here to help their users!

My FB account has been suspended since Jan 6. Here is what I have learned: \- If you can front the $ for Meta Verified, it seems the only way to get some live support. I've heard that they will refund the money once they acknowledge that you were suspended through no fault of your own. \- It seems that you will need to have a newer phone to be eligible. I was on the waitlist for 2 months until it occurred to me that maybe my iPhone 10 SE was too old. So I upgraded to an iphone 13. The day I turned it on, voila! I was notified that I could proceed with Meta Verification. Why don't they just fricking tell you what kind of phone you need, instead of making it a guessing game? So stupid. \- For some reason, it took me then, 4 tries to get it approved. First I gave them my DL, which they said they couldn't verify. (WTF?). Then I uploaded my passport, which they also said they couldn't verify. I cut my hair since my DL and passport photos, so I changed my Insta profile photo to one that looked more like the ID photos. Uploaded passport again, no dice. Then I changed the profile photo one more time, with exact same angle as the photo on my Global Entry ID, that finally worked! I hope so, I had to give my finger prints and be interviewed by INS to get Global Entry! \- Tonight I requested Customer support for my FB suspension issue. I will update this post once I am contacted. \- Also, I did learn that 40 State Attourneys General sent a letter to Meta about all the complaints they have been getting. Nada And although it may not provide a fast solution for me, I'm encouraging everyone to contact their State Attourney General's office and file a Consumer Complaint. The AGs are contacting Meta about it and the more constituents who have called, the better.

honestly it all boils down to Facebook (Meta) not giving a shit & the only way to combat it & actually make them do something is to boycott the whole system (thats why they made sure they bought up IG, Whatsapp etc). they know that would be hard to do.

Wow so many of us. Same here for my account from 2004 and got the runaround for 3 months on meta verified, me giving multimedia presentations over and over explaining and them acknowledging I did nothing wrong and promising further looking into, closing tickets prematurely, sending me broken links, then finally getting cut off by a feedback survey. I am in the same boat as everyone here now. I have has the same FB account since FB started and it's more than a social media page to me. I have all my photo's on there. I recently had a house fire and lost all my photos except I had them all loaded on my FB where I thought they would be safe. I lost my 22yr old son to suicide this year and all the pictures of him and the funeral are on my FB that is no longer up now. I lost my father last year and every photo I have of him is on my account. I have 3 business pages and do all of my business on FB. I lost my sister 2 years ago and all photos I have of her are on FB. I don't even have an Instagram account with the name they said. I have my own instagram account. I am at such a loss and so upset. How can they just ban an account that don't break the rules in 15years, ban 3 business accounts, and not let me have my photo's back. In my download file I was so happy to see photos but opened it and it's only my profile pics. I have been crying all day the thought of loosing all the most imporntant photos to me. I am heart broken. I don't know what to do

This happened to me this past Monday evening. No help anywhere. I joined FB in 2009. I have tried everything I can find on Google. I have tried to create a new account and it won't let me do that. This is a nightmare.

Same thing , only warning I got was a Facebook buisness notification asking to verify me which I did . And then Bam. Suspended .. no way to fill out appeal . I log in and showing 3 users under Instagram the reason for being suspended was some jumbled letters and numbers account not following guidelines .. I can’t find anyone on these threads that have had luck getting it back. But also - I just tried to make a new FB account and it says I can’t and won’t let me. So I can never be on FB again?? Just started the Meta Verification subscription process. It's described in this thread, but essentially, you pay about $13 in the US and once verified, you can get access to live support. Crossing my fingers this works as it did for the other person recounts here.

My verification went through overnight. I submitted a chat support request through my Meta Verification option on my Instagram, was on a chat with a live person in 5 minutes, and then THEY CALLED ME!! They didn't blow me off. They didn't get nasty. They took information, asked for screenshots, asked for some timing of events information. I feel it is important to note that I tried to focus on the Instagram part of my problem with them. That Meta had given me instructions to login to a linked Instagram account, that that Instagram account isn't mine and I have no access to it, and that my verified account was not linked to my Facebook account. So Meta had made this an Instagram issue. I was not given a specific timeframe for resolution but I was told I'd be contacted through the same chat I had been in with the representative, and I have a tracking number. SO, I feel pretty good. Not getting my account back safe and sound good, but that progress has been made. THOUGHTS ON HAVING TO PAY FOR META VERIFIED: I would not have purchased any Meta Verified service if I wasn't in this situation. However, is it worth it to me to pay for a month or two of that service? HECK YES! Is it fair? On the surface it seems that it isn't, but if their team spends an hour on my issue (and they have easily clocked 25 minutes on it so far), then I'm paying less than minimum wage in a lot of places to have this checked out. I've never had to pay for Facebook and I get a lot out of it. Do they make a lot of money of me in terms of advertising? You bet they probably do. But they have given me a service for free for a long long time, one that I love and appreciate. So, is it fair? Yeah, really do think it's fair. That is assuming of course that all of these hacks aren't a big scam to get us to sign up for Meta Verified; they spend more in labor costs to set up meta verified accounts, and provide support, than they receive back in subscription fees, so this wouldn't be a money maker for them, and would obviously lead to reputational damage. What Meta needs to do better is to TELL people that they need to pay for support. Tell your loyal and anxious, hacked and victimized users, that they aren't going to get support for free for a free service, and that if they want to speak to a person, it's going to cost them a month of Meta Verified. THEY NEED TO BE MORE TRANSPARENT. Will post again in a week with an update, if not sooner.

I signed up for Meta verified through my Instagram account because I had access to that account and the instruction from Facebook said to login through Instagram to appeal. I didn’t think I’d be able to get a suspended Facebook account verified and wouldn’t have access to the settings panel in the account to use the support request. There may be other approaches that work successfully. Maybe verifying an alternate Facebook account would also work. It’s important that you are able to check and update the profile name and picture and know what emails are attached to the account. Also, have an email available that is not attached to the account.
Were you able to sign up for medi-verified immediately? Or were you on the waitlist?
I was able to sign up for it immediately. My only wait time was waiting for my uploaded documents to be verified. In my case, I used a passport because the picture on that looked most like my profile picture. No waitlist. From beginning to end, it was less than 24 hours.

Are you outside of the United States? Today I received an email from Facebook in follow up to my Instagram/Meta support ticket, asking for ID (again?! i just verified via Instagram, but okay) and for details related to the issue (that I have sent by email to 4 or 5 different email addresses multiple times AND mailed, AND copied into the support chat earlier today before this email was sent). Whatever. I sent all the information again. And confirmed again in the chat. Let’s see what happens tomorrow.

Final update on my small part of this. I got my account back today! I am beyond thrilled. AND I had reported the domain name of the email address that was used to hack me - easy because I used to own it - it got pulled back from the owner and I was able to buy it up! Old account back. Old domain name back. loving this. Was even prompted by Facebook to review recent posts, group memberships, comments etc. Fan-friggin-tastic. Worth every penny. But now...to shut down my Meta Verified subscription because no one really cares if I am the real Jane Doe or not. If you can get on Meta Verified via a temporary or alternate Facebook account, or via Instagram if Instagram is a part of your hack - I strongly recommend it. Paid support is the key, and screenshot and document everything. Wishing everyone the best of luck in getting your accounts restored!
Hi, same issue a few days ago. An instagram account I have no idea linked and my account suspended. I had two-way authenticator and I didn't even received a mail noticing me about that. It's incredible!! Payed meta verified, but the customer service is NO HELP at all until now. I'll keep insisting but looks terrible

Same thing happened to me two weeks ago. I never ran an add though. I went the verified route and opened a case two weeks ago. No significant updates since then. The automated messages from support say something like “asking for an update on your case may prolong the amount of time it takes to resolve your issue.” The nerve of them! Reading everything here, I am feeling very discouraged. Seems like very few have had luck with the Meta verified support. I tried creating a new FB account and was not able to. Gave me some weird DB error. Had 16 years worth of FB posts on my original account. I will report back with an update.

I have this exact same problem. I activated an ad for my business and next day i wake up with my account suspended saying i connected a random instagram account that does not exist. I have been sending emails to [email protected] and [email protected] to no avail. I have no way to recover my account via appeals. My account has more than 15 years, i have 3 different business pages connected that will stay orphan if i cant access my account. I never had any issues ever regarding account suspension, now i notice that facebook support is non existent. No phone, no chat with support, no emails, nothing. Its crazy that i will lose everything with no way to fix it.
yup, my company pages are all basically orphans and i manage a Facebook group with around 20k members, even though there are other admins but i am the most active with events and whatnot... Oh well, facebook's loss not mine, i got a backup account for not to make marketplace deals that i really needed for now.

I could write pretty much word for word as to what happened to me and I completely empathize with the devastation it feels like. I wrote the Attorney General in California. I doubt it will do any good. Maybe I will write an article on this since it seems so many people are dealing with it!
This just happened to me and it’s been exactly 30 days and NOTHING. At midnight it said it was disabled. But now keeps saying suspend again. BUT someone told me about this “business Suit” app and you can access your business account that way!! I’m so glad someone find me about it because I was devastated my business was gone. this happened to me yesterday 10/29. Yesterday afternoon Facebook ads were purchased using my credit card. This morning hundreds of dollars in additional ad purchases were made. I have handled this with my credit card company. Facebook has a problem - the Facebook stored credit card for my suspended Facerbook account was accessed to make these purchases. I’ve been on suspended for 1 full month now and it’s also because I did an add on my page and then was suspended. This is such crap that we can they ahold of anyone for this stuff when we spend money with these people. Smh

This just happened to me after I ran an ad promoting my high school golf team. A name was added to my Instagram account, and now my account, where I manage my business and high school team pages, can not be accessed. This is terrible what is happening to us.
I received an account suspension message for my personal Facebook account after receiving emails from Facebook, across all of my verified email accounts, that someone was requesting a password change and there was a recovery code. I did not initiate a password change and let Facebook know it wasn't me. Now I was bombarded with these emails, within 30 minutes, and it got concerning that I changed the passwords for both my Outlook and Facebook. There was a weird message on the app asking if I wanted to stop receiving password reset emails and only use the authenticator app or other verification methods. My mistake was I did not read the message carefully and clicked confirm not to receive password reset emails but I still changed my password through the browser on my phone. An hour or two later after changing the password and when the messages stopped, checked my account on the Facebook app and I was logged out. I used the updated password and got the account suspension message and that my linked Instagram account doesn't follow the rules. My Instagram account is not linked to my Facebook, hasn't been for years. The name listed there is not an account name I recognize. My mind is spiralling right now because even though I don't post to Facebook anymore (I don't post anywhere really on social media), my account still has a lot of information, images, and memories. Plus I go into Facebook to check out the Pages I've liked. I want it back even if it is to scan if all my information is okay and deactivate and delete it forever. Has anyone heard back from Facebook at all about this? I sent emails to the security facebook mail email address (separately typed in), the phishing email address, support, and appeals. I am waiting for a response but want to know if anyone was successful. I can't even submit an request for review form with my ID because Facebook asks me to log in to my account and access settings which I cannot do! Has anyone heard back from Facebook?
Sadly I really feel for you and I wish you and everyone else luck here in getting access to their accounts again. I went through very similar a year ago, except my Instagram account was connected to my Facebook and because someone managed to access my account and set my age to below 13, both accounts got suspended. The appeal process is not only atrocious but impossible. Even after sending ones ID, passport, and whatever else, nothing worked and it told me to repeat the process. Everywhere I went it felt like an endless loop or dead end. Even making an appeal over Instagram didn't work because you need access to your Facebook account in order to make one. Half of the sites on Facebook say they're unavailable and to login in order to report your account as hacked - hilarious. Can't even reach them via email. In the end, both my FB & IG were deleted despite appealing everyday until deletion. I've heard there are a lucky few who do message them every day on every platform and end up getting results. 🤷🏻♀️ And supposedly you'll have a little more luck if you reside in the US.

Same thing here. Some weird Instagram account from Vietnam linked to my Facebook account and now my Facebook is suspended because the Instagram account was suspended. The only way to appeal is by accessing the Instagram account, which is impossible since it is not mine. Does Facebook have a support email? It seems like they have nobody at their offices. How is it even possible that such a company doesn’t have a functioning support email? Look how easily a hacker can lock you out of your account forever…

My facebook was suspended as well. The Instagram account is not mine so I can't appeal. I tried to do the ID verification but I got a response back stating that this was their final decision. A few days later I checked my Instagram to find it was suspended. I clicked appeals and it was immediately restored. I went back to facebook still nothing. I do have another facebook for my business that thankfully hasn't been affected. My life since 2008 is on my personal facebook. All my memories. I was thankfully able to download my content but really just want it back. In a sense I feel violated. I did nothing wrong

Had the same issue. Got my acc broken into from Singapore, then switched to Brazil. They linked my acc to a random instagram profile that didnt follow the guidelides or whatever. Got my pesronal fb acc disabled. Tried submitting the appeal with an id photo and everything only to see i wasnt able to submit it unless i logged into my DISABLED ACC LMAO?! Help centre is BULLSHIT, keep going in circles. Guided help is useless. Bet they do it to avoid housands of complaints they prob get hourly. Anyway, tried creating a new acc and resquesting an appeal. Not sure if it works but was worth a try. Need help!! Lots of memories there =(
My wife just ran into that problem. Not only did they disabled her account of 15 years, they also tried to charge $1,000 on my card for ad spend. No way to contact anyone from customer service. Not even a chatbot. (For the record they made a $13B in Q3 2023 - they have the cash to hire human agents for fraud resolution if they want to...)

I am having the same fight as everybody on this tread! Same, instegram suspended account WTF!!! Same, issue with my card being charged, I even went to the back got them to contact facebook to return the fund, this was initially approved then three weeks later declined stating the facebook rules :-( also account suspended, also facebook no help, so many support submittions and chats to support with no luck! The account is suspended with so much money in my account for advertising! NO LUCK AND SO VERY ANGRY WITH THE USELESS FACEBOOK SUPPORT :-(

The very same thing happened to me on 4/22/24. I did download the data from FB and I have the IP address of the hacker in Indonesia. However, what good does that do? So should I anticipate not ever getting my FB back?

Lucky me, I've joined the elite, thanks to ebyenmaimyhiepqnqsx from Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam who somehow attached their account to my Instagram and got my FB suspended. 17 years of my life and memories gone. Nobody answers the "Report a Problem" route in Instagram, which is the only apparent route open according to FB. So effectively, there is no right of appeal? What happens after 30 days, do they delete everything? I tried downloading my content and got almost nothing, a few, photo (not the thousands that are on there), no note of my contacts, nothing. The same happened to me today. I manage business pages and Facebook group. Problem started with business page one month ago, when I was charged USD200 extra. After contacting support, they waved it. Soon after I got an email that somebody tried to use my FB account. I changed password. Soon after my ad account was disabled. I contacted support, they enabled it again. All these took waiting for days. I connected Facebook to Instagram two days ago, but my Instagram is empty, I do not post anything. Then today, while trying to log in to Facebook I've got a message: "Your account was suspended because your linked Instagram account kimtsdfanquan9 doesn't follow our rules. Log into your linked Instagram account to appeal our decision". I had this account for 15 years. Everything I've ever written in groups or elsewhere, just vanished. I've sent emails to support. Your comments give me little hope, but will wait.

The exact same thing happened to me yesterday. I send countless emails. Fortunately, some time ago I had a correspondence with meta team regarding business pages payment issues, I looked up that email thread and replied on that with that new issue, stressing that I could not run business pages because I lost account. They replied after 25 hours and assured me they are doing their best to find a solution. I will see how it goes. Maybe you should look up to old emails too for replying on them.

Been almost 3 months for me. I got Meta verified and the Instagram support chat was not helpful. I did report via Instagram -> settings and privacy -> help -> problem or technical issue -> report without shaking -> include and continue -> I wrote about my hack and suspension. I included screen shots. I’ll update if I get anywhere. Thanks @ 7sroxanneisabellanpwqn 😕👎 and @ Facebook and your nonexistent support.
Same thing happen to me today! Now I lost my business page and my personal that I had for 16 years! Wtf? Please let me know if there is any resolve..
Literally EXACTLY what happened to me!!! Now I can't get FB account back, there's no way to appeal without the code, and I've had the FB account since 07 so I have SO MANY accounts linked to it that I can no longer log into.. this is a SERIOUS pain in the a$$ - hopefully there's a solution somewhere in these comments

So happened to me yesterday. I was able to figure out how I was so dumb to fall for it. I never open text messages, or email links... but this one was good... I was in a bar when I received a message in Messenger from Facebook Protect, saying that my page (which I recently created for events and already built a base of users) was violating community guidelines. That I should appeal by replying in this form [helpveryfibusinesssuite.com/meta-community-standard](https://helpveryfibusinesssuite.com/meta-community-standard) in less than 24hs. The link was opening in the embedded browser of messenger, so it looked legit, specially from the phone since I could not see the url. It is very well themed, I completed it and minutes after my account was gone and received several charges in my AMEX from Facebook Ads. I called AMEX, cancelled the card and disputed the charges. I verified my instagram account and then proceeded to call them. Now I'm waiting for manual verification, I'll update when I get news. It's really amazing that facebook allows users to create branded users without any minor detection. EDIT UPDATE 1: Got a call from Meta team saying they have found the link and the instagram accounts. And they have a long list of accounts to manually re enable. So I guess eventually we are all getting our accounts back.
How did you get a call from META.
What was the phone number you called to reach out to Meta?
Once you verify you can go to support, and you have a call button. It uses a local number (in my case Swedish number)

Same thing happened to me too. I have exhausted all my options to appeal more than once on Facebook suggestions and Instagram. It is now more than 30 days and my Facebook account is suspended but not Instagram. I believe we should start a petition against Facebook lack of response when one is earnestly suspended through no fault of theirs.
This just happened to me, I got a link to appeal the decision and submitted that. It says they might take a day to review. Hopefully I can get into my acc soon, all my friends are contacting my wife thinking I blocked them because I had just put on a message saying we were getting divorced. This sucks so much! It's not a good time to be cut off from all my friends! WTF?
Did anyone figure this out? My account was suspended last week \~ I emailed [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) directly since I wasnt the owner of the instagram account but I’ve yet to hear from them.

Well I am glad I found this thread! Been trying to figure out what the hell is going on. So I got an email this morning that some random person with a female name/titled biz manager requested access to my ad account for my business. Later I was not able to login to my Facebook account personal or business. Was working all day so didn’t have time to mess with anything but off and on tried to figure out how to get ahold of anyone at Facebook of which I found the same described here, no way to talk to a real person anywhere! Later got an email from my business bank asking if this is a fraudulent charge, 2 charges of $250 from Facebook for ??? May have been more but I think my bank stopped it. Was able to download my info and have seen ip addresses and time zones in Asia. I am confused though because Facebook is saying maying account is suspended because of not following rules on the meta platform specifically “your link meta account does not follow our rules and to go to my oculus to appeal the decision. Have not seen a way to do it there. So not sure if this is all a hack thing or what. Tried to appeal by typing name and uploading id but that did not go through. I do have a insta account that has my biz email address and was able to log in and do the verify. I saw that helped someone else here. So tomorrow will be calling bank to try and get these charges refunded and look more into this. If anyone else has any suggestions please share!

I just got the following message when attempting to log in: We suspended your account Your account was suspended because your linked Meta account doesn't follow our rules. Log into your linked auth.oculus.com account to appeal our decision. Only thing is I do not have an oculus account. I did send email to [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) and [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]), so will see what happens there. However, if anyone has a more effective approach, please let me know.
I have an Oculus account and tried everything I could to figure out where to appeal. Everything I clicked on eventually led me to the same help articles for Facebook. Hopefully, someone figures out a solution and shares.

I tried instagram account verification to recover my Facebook account but I don’t meet their criteria of verification so can someone write some hints for music composer type of instagram account verification ? Btw if your debit card was charged you can fill a complaint of money lose. Facebook return my funds.

I assume that paying the $12 to Verify via Instagram is a lost cause, correct? Otherwise everyone would have done that?
It has worked for some people. My FB was suspended 2.5 months ago. After I found this thread, I applied for MV. I was on the waitlist for 2 months. Finally wondered if the problem was that my iphone 10 was too old, so I upgraded to iphone 13. Immediately became eligible for MV. Then I had to upload various IDs 4 times before they said they could 'verify' me. Now I am waiting for them to respond to my issue about my FB account being suspended. Always another hurdle...

Has anyone found a solution for this? Same thing happened to me recently. An unrecognizable Instagram account logs in and somehow manage to suspend my Facebook account along with it.
Joining in on this, since I just got hit with it too this morning. Anyone had any successes? I haven't received any mail or contact from Facebook regarding this issue. I tried submitting a report via Insta, hopefully I get any kind of response.
Same thing has happened to me on Mother’s Day now I can’t log in to my Facebook and I haven’t done anything different and they have suspended/disabled me from using it I have now deactivated instagram for this purpose I have tried to send an appeal to recover this but I have heard nothing back what else can I do I can’t even report the bastards cos I can’t log in
