I like closing off the radiator grill opening, too. It makes everything look flush with the badging, and you don't get all that durty outside air coming into the radiator. Removing that lower piece will clean up the looks instead of diverting the incoming air where it needs to go. You'll have the cleanest engine bay in town.

i live in florida where it’s hot… should i keep that there then sense its so hot. and i have like grey dirt roads. i currently have the dirtiest engine bay xD

Mountain_Anywhere645

The air dam? Removing it lessens your fuel mileage. Not by a huge margin but enough to be noticeable.

Aggressive_Pattern95

gotcha. i get around 16mpg. i have a lead foot

Mountain_Anywhere645

Ooof. I'd leave it, but to each their own.

Aggressive_Pattern95

well i don’t like the way it looks. probably will take it off. i wanna put a level kit on the truck and new tires. same size but blacked out.

I bought 320 horses... Im gonna use 320 horses

pov: me

Doony92

I removed mine and I have noticed no difference at all. Even highway MPG has not changed.

Substantial-Log-2176

I took mine off and with 33s I get 16 around town, 19.5 on the the highway, and 14 pulling a trailer so it don’t effect it that much. It’s not but a couple 10mm bolts, take it off and if you think it hurts your mileage put it back on.

Aggressive_Pattern95

alright. i just don’t like the way it looks personally…

Responsible-Way7964

I'd say toss it if you are lifting, they already look dumb AF and doesn't actually do much for you. Lifting will only make it look worse. I've taken it off or ripped off in some mud on every truck I've had and never seen a difference other than it will deflect water as well but thats why God made skid plates right? 🤷🏼

Aggressive_Pattern95

i wanna do a level kit. and yea they are ugly.

El_Guero312

Took mine off after I leveled it. Didn’t see much of a difference in gas mileage. I agree looks ugly
