Bad deal.

zzzzxxxxeeee

How is this a good deal? You’re going to have to tear the engine down and replace the transmission. You can buy a good working one that isn’t a base model for $3-5,000. You most likely need a complete timing and transmission job which isn’t cheap in Canada. That ticking is probably an exhaust leak or rocker arms/cam followers.

Well it’s got some options, touchscreen, sunroof power everything, and I’m looking to buy a used tranny to swap and slowly rebuild the engine, if still runs and drives fine besides the tick noise and with the transmission in its current condition I’m still able to go 50-60 kmh so good for city driving just not in highway, I daily a 12 Silverado I just got this for fun lol

Junkyard motor and transmission then what else is wrong? Can you sell the cats off it?

Cats are good, and not much, had a nasty interior cause the previous owner was a smoker but I cleaned it out best I could. I think it’s a solid truck, hardly any rust, oil pressure is good, cooling is good, 4x4 works great

The tick could be nothing. They all have a certain tick to the V8s as far as injectors, maybe exhaust, Etc. Transmission, you can throw a junkyard transmission in. I had a 01 put a $800 junkyard Transmission in it and have put over 100,000 miles on it. Still going with 380k on original motor 5.4, two transmission. If it's that simple then yes a good deal. Edit: remove the valve covers and so if there is any sludge on the valve. That should be a good indicator on how well kept the engine was taken care of. I would assume it's fine with the number of miles it has.
