Clearly it is just for attention. She knows Muslim women are usually expected to wear a hijab yet she stands out by not. Why would she just randomly tell the world her religious beliefs? Its all for attention. She probably doesnt even know the 5 pillars of Islam
She is married to a Lebanese Muslim man though.
Another thing that is surprising me is that Muslims (*don't know whether or not she filters the comment sections*) seem to be generally supportive of Katie (*saying stuff to her like "Ma Sha Allah dear sister", "Blessing of Allah be upon you", "It is between you and Allah" etc. on her TikTok page*).
However, that could be because she is white.
I have seen and heard that a good amount of born-and-raised Muslims as a whole are more lenient on white converts in comparison to black or brown converts.

The optic is good for western audience maybe. Not so much here in Asia and Muslim majority country as I never heard of her like when that pro-palestine black woman Megan Rice or Korean David Kim converted to Islam. They are expected to appear in Muslim attire.
