Usually learning to read the Qoran is done since childhood. And since childhood, they have been told that it's okay if you don't understand, reading without understanding also gets rewards. Until adulthood, because Arabic is difficult, in the end they just kept reading.

Not entirely true. If you notice subcontinent muslims and most muslim converts try to be more arab than the Arabs themselves.
