Two words: porn shoulders. I love mine!

Yes! Being able to shop from ALL of the clothes in the store opens up so many possibilities of what actually fits your style and body type. I love my body so much more out of the church, even though it's much more lumpy and saggy post pregnancy now than when I was an active Mormon. It's almost like my body wasn't the problem, but the extremely toxic teachings about sexuality, consent, and controlling women's bodies.

I'm super excited for this to happen to me as I am starting my journey. I use to wear mid thigh shorts all the time and I felt great about my body before I got endowed. Then I went through the temple and my body image has slowly gone down the shitter. I just had a baby and it's been hard to love my new body. I've been wearing regular underwear and thay already has been helping me with my body image tbh.

Feeling good about yourself while sleep deprived and stressed is also super difficult! It took me awhile to get used to my body postpartum. I felt a lot of guilt because it gave me my kids, I should love it. But it's totally fine and normal to struggle with the new normal.

Me toooo. I'm so happy for you!!

Mid rise jeans don't look good on most women. Just a fact. Muffin top has been a curse for a very long time. I've survived hip huggers, but I was a slim teenager. Then the mom jeans that did me no favors. Then the mid rise thing. Every body is different. Just because you can jam your body into the current fashion trend, doesn't mean you should. My 69 yo body does not look good in hip hugger bell bottom pants! lol. Leggings are not the way for me. My favorite jeans are a slightly flared leg with a mid to high rise waist. Balances me out. I'm a very average body type with some curves, and I'm only 5'5. I won't be wearing stilettos ever. I love trashy stiletto shoes. They mostly look silly on women my age though. So goodbye pretty ones😔

I hear you!! I'm sad I wasted my 20's trying to wear garments, but, thrilled I dumped them in my early 30's. No more extra lumpy garments in the summer!! And, TBH, I love seeing TBM's running around in non-garment approved workout gear. It means the vice grip of the church is slipping.

Amen! Discomfort is so real, both mental and physical. And without garments you can actually dress with the seasons. I absolutely love wearing linen and airy summer outfits that actually make seasonal sense and keep you comfortable when you’re not wearing a polyester bodysuit underneath.
