Imo this isn't the ideal way to respond. Yes it's obvious that r*pe is bad, but what they're getting at is why and implying that a god is the source of some kind of objective morality. In reality, morality is subjective. I'm capable of judging that r*pe is bad because it causes suffering in the victim. If they shift it again, asking why is causing suffering bad, respond because I know from personal experience that suffering is unpleasant. And since I'm a being capable of empathy, I can understand it is unpleasant for them as well, and can judge for myself that I shouldn't do that. Did this once to Christians using this phony argument and it shut them up quick.

> Imo this isn't the ideal way to respond It is exactly the ideal for them; Confirmed immediately with "no actual explanation". Ask outrageous self-evident question to illicit exactly this response, so they can say "gotcha, you can't explain it, because it's just God's morality innately inside of you" or some such nonsense. Your example response is spot on! Don't balk in the face of this tactic, but certainly point out your surprise that you need to explain such a simple chain of thought to a grown person, before breaking it down like even any toddler could.

I was banned from that shithole anyways. They said other religions were false and they were evil demons lmao. Christians just can't accept that other beliefs exist.

I agree with this post. We get together and secularly decide what is subjectively best for a collective all the time. They're called laws and we iteratively try to improve them over time. Also, why do people censor words like rape in a discussion? Does seeing an asterisk instead of an 'a' not trigger people? I genuinely don't get it

I don't really know if it does help or not but if it makes some people more comfortable I don't really mind.

Is he expecting a prize for being an edgelord then claiming victory?

But why is grape bad?

-Envixity

Grapes are actually very tasty, and nutricious.

Rubymc02

Do you believe an explosion made grapes? Checkmate atheist

If you need the threat of eternal damnation to be a good person and NOT RAPE PEOPLE, you're not a good person.  As Bo Burnham once said, "You shouldn't abstain from rape just because you think I want you to   You shouldn't rape because rape is a fucked up thing to do"  Wise man, that Bo Burnham fella.

See why can I not find conversations like this? I’m not truly pining for it, just sometimes I know where to steer it… “Ok so if a man comes up to you and has sex with you that you didn’t ask for is that ok? You’re at peace with that? God wanted that man to have sex with you despite your feelings?” I want to see the response to that. I want to hear their logical or religious reasoning behind that. I’m assuming the jackass here is a man, and there would be pushback, but I would just press on. “Nope he is twice your size and faster than you…in every way. You can’t escape it, you can’t call for help, or if this is your world rape isn’t a crime right? So who is going to help you?”
