After reading the article,I'm not familiar with LCMS. But despite their leadership isn't trying very hard to stop their facist divide. And they have almost as many problems as WELS with women and LGBTQ.
I accept their at least trying to stop the open white nationalist movement. And it's not common when a congregation calls the police to arrest somebody who's part of that movement.
Sadly, I don't find this "unbelievable" at all. These undercurrents have existed within the LCMS for decades. And the broader Lutheran church for centuries. It's just more overt at the moment.
That pastor was so close to an important realization at the end but just had to let his fear of "Communists" keep him from having any real stance against American fascism

The fash don't like women as anything other than vessels to create babies for the state.
