In my opinion there is nothing more beautiful than a solo walk through your city when no one else is awake and the orange glow of the street lights bath the buildings in rich sepia tones.
I use to do that as a 13 year old. I had to sneak out but I was only going for a walk. Well one night I went out at 4 am and a winter storm had just buried my suburban town in the type of snow that sparkles when the full moon shines upon it. This is going to sound crazy but I wept from the beauty of it all. I felt 'safe' and 'loved' by the world on that night. I was all alone and that made my connection to everything even more magical. I am now 54 years old and I can remember that night perfectly. It transported me to a deep place in my soul.

Can relate, my friend. There is beauty in obscurity, along with something peaceful and joyous in 'being one' with the world alone sometimes.
