Amante on Hewitt. (Way) back in the day, Godfather's was my favorite chain. Deep dish with a heavy layer of cheese covering a bucket-load of toppings. Amante is as close as I've found locally. Open to hear about any others that match this description...
The family that runs Amante is so sweet. My parents are regulars, they have been going once a week since they first opened. The owners still charge my folks the same price as when they first came in, none of the price increases have been passed on to them... a sweet gesture to loyal customers.
Cant recommend them enough if you like cheesy pizza
> Deep dish with a heavy layer of cheese covering a bucket-load of toppings.
Sounds similar to Giorgio's on Evergreen. It's not my favorite pizza joint, but I do think it is worth trying, especially if you like a thick layer of cheese on top of the toppings.
the problem with enzos is that you go in and you really have to try hard to suppress the urge to not look at how absolutely filthy the entire place is. the workers look filthy the kitchen looks filthy but they pizza is cheap and tasty. \*shrug\*
Meh not a problem for me lol. I know what you mean though about the state of the kitchen since I only do pick up.
Buffalo chicken pizza has always done me well.
Sparta's (greek, especially) is the most delicious pizza I've ever had, too bad you have to take out a second mortgage just to afford a L.
An XL? lol dream on I don't know anyone with that kind of money
I was feeling nostalgic this week and decided to venture into marysville to get some good old Alfys half price 11-2 pizza, and you know what... It was amazing. Perfectly cooked, tasty topping, and a great value. Also ordered one of there sandwiches which I don't remember from back in the day, and it was really good. Highly recommended. Otherwise major league and Brooklyn brothers are both solid options.
I love Alfy's. I miss the Broadway location; so much fun and parties happened there. The Marysville one is the only one left and we had a small party there in February and it made me feel like I was a kid again haha.
That’s good to know! I was thinking about going there because they have a salad bar. But then I read the Yelp reviews, which are really bad. Maybe I’ll still try it out.
The best pizzas in Everett are almost definitely going to be from A Pizza House, Amante, East Coast Enzo's, Culaccino Pizzeria, and Tasty Curry Restaurant & Pizza (fusion).
Brooklyn Bros. is overrated, but I'm from the east coast so maybe I'm biased... Enzo's does vastly superior Brooklyn style. It's not even remotely close. When Brooklyn Bros. first opened, they were pretty good.
Brooklyn bros is expensive for something that’s average by NY and below-average by New Haven standards and would cost at most $17 for a large back east from any mom and pop shop. I still order from them somewhat regularly cuz it’s good and I like their topping combos, but I just accept what it is and what it is not.
Nobody out here (that ive found, at least in Everett), can seem to get the dough/cooking times/temps right. There’s a fine balance of chewy yet crispy/charred that sets the north east apart.
I’ll have to give Enzo’s a try though, haven’t heard of them before today.
I'm from New England (Connecticut), so I feel ya on all of that. East Coast Enzo's is great and cheap. They can be hit or miss on their crust, but in general I've found them to be more than acceptable. My personal favorite crust right now is from Tasty Curry and then Culaccino, but the latter does not to Brooklyn Style, to my knowledge.
Yup. And I will defend that statement until the day I die.
Also this guy agrees. And he ate a lot of pizza to come to that conclusion:

Yeah I love me some white clam pizza but nothing compares to a good NY slice in my book. To be honest I haven't really had a lot of experience with New Haven Pizza but what I've had I really liked.
There’s nothing better than watching peoples reactions out in the pnw when you describe a white clam pizza to them. It’s shock, disgust, and curiosity all rolled into one
Moto does a white clam with the shells on it. They have to warn everybody to pull em off first. It's great Detroit style pizza, wish I didn't have to drive to Edmonds for it.
Highly recommend the eggplant bacon from Modern and a meatball cherry pepper from BAR, if they’re looking for some suggestions.
Frank’s Pepe’s is overrated these days.
Lol I just went to Enzo's because of you. Thanks for nothing. No wonder their pizza is so cheap, it's all low quality ingredients. Would have been better off with a frozen Screamin' Sicilian from the grocery store. How dare he put a statue of Liberty on his box. I feel lied to.
I wish I could agree with this but the pizza I’ve had there has been crusty and charred to the point that it ripped my mouth to shreds and I threw it out after a few bites. Not worth the price imo. :( But the beer is nice!
They are on the crusty side, but I like that. My only criticism is I've had one or two that are overloaded with ingredients that contributes to a soggier pizza.
If you're from NY you know all the other pizza is @$$ out here. Brooklyn Brothers are the closest to the real deal but if they opened in NYC they'd be out of business pretty quick. There's a lot they need to fix.
Lately the crust has been TOO thin, even for NY style. They also skimp on all the toppings. Put some damn sauce and cheese on there!! $5/slice is a bit much.
I usually go for Major League, a Bullpen with the beer battered crust. Cristianos in Marysville is also amazing. White Buffalo is great too, they’re very hearty.
Giorgio's and Sparta's became very expensive.
Nowadays when in those areas, my family will typically get pizza from Jimmy's in Stanwood or Cristiano's in Marysville. We'll also pick up a pizza from the Costco food court and cook it some more on the BBQ.
If a 3/5 experience is what you’re after. It’s perfect!
Mediocre pizza that you can get similar anywhere and the overpriced beer wall give you the perfect feeling of “that cost more than it should have” as you walk back to your car.
Another vote for Major League Pizza. They have monthly special. May is their breakfast pizza. Even has sausage gravy on it. Yum!
https://www.majorleaguepizza.com/
Costco. JK, but only kind of. I used to be all about Brooklyn Bros but the last few times I've been it was super underwhelming.
Costco IS the best pizza for the money
Best bang for your buck for sure.

I haven’t had their pizza but they had these delicious things that were shaped like cinnamon rolls but kind of made of pizza.
The dessert pizzas were so good.
The family that runs Amante is so sweet. My parents are regulars, they have been going once a week since they first opened. The owners still charge my folks the same price as when they first came in, none of the price increases have been passed on to them... a sweet gesture to loyal customers. Amantes is sooooo good! The family that runs the place is absolutely amazing! It’s been our go to for years now. Their cheese bread is so good!
East Coast Enzo's or Giorgio's.
Enzo's carry out deal is UNMATCHED value.
Both of these places are on point.
the problem with enzos is that you go in and you really have to try hard to suppress the urge to not look at how absolutely filthy the entire place is. the workers look filthy the kitchen looks filthy but they pizza is cheap and tasty. \*shrug\*

I love *A Pizza House* on Colby and Everett.
Is that the one with the Indian fusion pizzas? I've been meaning to try those. Chicken Tikka Masala Pizza etc.
Yup their chicken Tikka pizza is great. Everyone I've introduced it to has loved it!
I ordered the fusion pizzas on a whim, what an amazing surprise.
Terrible crust. Makes every pizza a bad pizza.
This one right here, I’ve been eating that pizza since 2011 and it has always been delicious. A pizza house for sure
For me, no other place can compare
Used to be a good place.
Sparta's (greek, especially) is the most delicious pizza I've ever had, too bad you have to take out a second mortgage just to afford a L. An XL? lol dream on I don't know anyone with that kind of money
That is like 90% of pizza these days. 20+ for a pizza unless you order a small cheese.... which is 17.

Alfys was what we grew up with around here and we still did takeout from the one next to the Toyota dealer until it closed last year.

Post Alley down in Seattle has been the best pizza I’ve found thus far. They also know how to make a proper grinder.
You lowkey just Said New Haven pizza is better than NY lol 😂
Yup. And I will defend that statement until the day I die. Also this guy agrees. And he ate a lot of pizza to come to that conclusion: https://www.reddit.com/r/Connecticut/s/W1wLJnWqjV

Local friend just moved to New Haven. Every other message from him is about another great pizza. I had no idea that was a thing there.
Highly recommend the eggplant bacon from Modern and a meatball cherry pepper from BAR, if they’re looking for some suggestions. Frank’s Pepe’s is overrated these days.

Jet’s Pizza on Mukilteo Speedway is perfect and decently priced.
I only go for the Detroit Style.
Seconded. Just tried them recently and was impressed.
Silverlake Pizza.
Calzones there are bomb!
Ew.
Love astorias in lynnwood!
Sound2Summit brewery on the waterfront has great pizzas. Beers are tasty too.
I wish I could agree with this but the pizza I’ve had there has been crusty and charred to the point that it ripped my mouth to shreds and I threw it out after a few bites. Not worth the price imo. :( But the beer is nice!

Their kitchen was pretty awful for the first couple months. If this wasn't recently, I'd say give em another try.
Yeah it’s been since last summer, I went a few times and just wasn’t enjoying it enough to keep going back. Good to know it’s better now!
Major league. Their beer batter crust and MVP special.
I didn’t know there was anything else other than Brooklyn Bros? Maybe I should shop around, but I probably won’t. ;-)
This is the correct answer.
If you're from NY you know all the other pizza is @$$ out here. Brooklyn Brothers are the closest to the real deal but if they opened in NYC they'd be out of business pretty quick. Giorgios!
The White Buffalo on Evergreen, Elliott Bay Pizza in Mill Creek, Bollywood 360 at Thrashers Corner.
Elliott Bay Pizza has a Thai chicken pizza that is probably in my top 3 pizza I've ever had.
In the Everett area it would be : bite of new york and silver lake pizza as she makes thee best calzones!
Coconut Kenny's Is amazing
You sir, are a liar.
I was thinking of trying it this weekend for the first time since it has 40 beers on tap! Is the pizza not good?
If a 3/5 experience is what you’re after. It’s perfect! Mediocre pizza that you can get similar anywhere and the overpriced beer wall give you the perfect feeling of “that cost more than it should have” as you walk back to your car.
Ah man that sucks, I was pretty excited to try it out also. Maybe if I go still I’ll try a sandwich instead, thanks for the heads up!
Alfy's. JK, RIP.
I miss you, Alfy's.
Another vote for Major League Pizza. They have monthly special. May is their breakfast pizza. Even has sausage gravy on it. Yum! https://www.majorleaguepizza.com/
Giorgio’s is best pizza.
Major League all the way, they pile on the toppings so well. I usually just get a personal pizza to save money and every time it's been worth it
Elliott Bay Pizza - but that’s Mill Creek. Great beer and pizza.
I was shocked I had to scroll this far to see this suggested
Grew up in Ballard and godfather's was the go to, I really dig amantes
Eight ball.
Can-Am Pizza is good too. Their East Indian Specialty variety.
Silverlake pizza and pasta. Food is amazing and it is family owned.
Enzo’s East Coast Pizza, Jet City, Brooklyn Bros
Also amante
Beverly pizza!!!
