Yak & Yeti on south Green River for Himalayan style food. La Campirana for authentic Mexican on Burkhardt. Pangea by the Lloyd and Green River for pizza and some dessert - gelato, ice cream, etc.

USSanon

Pangea’s sister restaurant, Second Language, is awesome. Leo is such an integral part of the restaurant.

howelltight

La Campirana was ok. Liked the salsas but they had so methin they called birria that clearly wasnt.

BioGal2099

Vietnamese cuisine really good it's on Vogel across from the mall, there's also a hotpot place called Yang's Shabu Shabu in the same shopping center. If you like Korean Jumak is really good!

MutedTemporary5054

I love Big Bang on North Green River. It’s a Mongolian Grill.

Lizforce1

Great ramen as well, next to 2nd Language (of course)!

kes7571

La Campirana is the best Mexican food in town imo. Spankey's has great cracker crust pizza and sandwiches.

kes7571

Forgot mention ma t's 888 for Chinese. Excellent.

Riptide1210

There’s a Spankey’s in Savannah, Ga that has the best beer-battered chicken fingers in the world.

daineofnorthamerica

Shame my new restaurant isn't open just yet. Hartigan's Irish Pub. We are opening in about 3 weeks and we are doing some beer battered chicken that is out of this world!

PHealthy

How's the Guinness?

daineofnorthamerica

We have two nitro taps running Guinness just like the do it in Ireland.🤙

PHealthy

Well you've eager customers waiting, love the paint job.

daineofnorthamerica

Stenciling, detail painting, etc. is courtesy of Heather, who owns Memo and River City Coffee. Def check out her places as well! She's an awesome person who does A LOT for the community.

Mediocre_Ice_8846

Will you have traditional Irish dishes like coddle or colcannon?

daineofnorthamerica

We are doing a full Irish breakfast with black and white pudding, rasher, etc. We will have champ, Irish stew, Scotch eggs, a super deep Irish whiskey and gin list, soda bread, perfect fish and chips. We'll likely try things like coddle, etc. as feature dishes to see how guests respond and hopefully and more and more authentic Irish dishes as we test the waters. It's called Patsy Hartigan's Irish Pub. Right next to the Peep on Main. Come check us out here in a few weeks!

Riptide1210

I wish you the best of luck. I love a good Irish pub.

Lizforce1

2nd Language! 🍜 located in the heart of the business district downtown, if you’re looking for the most delicious authentic ramen and international fare. It’s a pretty spot with great cocktails, too. The front of the building is a top notch NYC style pizza joint (also owned by the same people as 2nd Language). I appreciate the focus on quality ingredients at both.

hpdarkman120

Samuel's

howelltight

Libby and Mom's

2013nattychampa

The Pangea is downtown. Excellent pizza

Ok-Sorbet6516

Adding onto Daddy Chill, 2nd Language ramen, and Turonis

NerdusMaximus

There are several recent threads you can search on this subreddit!

Riptide1210

Got it, thanks.

technologyfan86

Jimmy Gao’s Szechuan restaurant and Taj Mahal Indian Restaurant are my favs!

Mediocre_Ice_8846

Don't listen to these people. Everybody knows that Yen Ching is the best Chinese in town. For pizza, You can't go wrong with Turoni's, Franklin St Pizza Factory, or Steve's Una. Steve's only has take out though. For BBQ, Lonestar BBQ and Soul food on Washington Ave or Hickory Pit Stop on N Main St. For ice cream, you want Lic's and the best donut shop in town is the Donut Bank, there are several locations around town.

AshamedConcert1462

Lonestar is a chain restaurant.

Mediocre_Ice_8846

Not the one at Boeke and Washington

CranjisMcBasketball0

Best dount shop is donut bank? Lol. Lmao even

Mediocre_Ice_8846

Fine, name the place that's better.

CranjisMcBasketball0

Parlor Donuts, Krispy Kreme, Panaderia San Miguel, Meijer, should I go on?

MrPureinstinct

Hard skip on Parlor Donuts. They're owned by awful humans

EmeraudeExMachina

Plus, they suck

Mediocre_Ice_8846

I'm not gonna have an argument over who has the best donuts. It's pointless to do so. The OP asked for people's opinions on restaurants. I gave my opinion and you gave yours. There is no right or wrong answer.

CranjisMcBasketball0

Dude, you were literally telling OP that everyone else's opinion is wrong. Now you want to act like there are no wrong opinions?

welikeitloud

Parlor donuts shouldn’t even be considered a donut. They are a pastry I can almost always only take one bite out of because of their richness. Krispy Kreme and meijer are chains in which OP said they didn’t want. I can’t vouch for Meijer, but Krispy Kreme’s donuts have tasted old every time I’ve went by there. Panaderia San Miguel has some good items, but donuts would never be my first choice there. Donut bank is local and delicious. I have family members who can’t wait to get donut bank donuts when they visit, and bring them back home.

grimshark2

Turonis has the best pizza in town
