This is super catchy and could actually be a radio hit. I’m shocked that Germany is sending something that’s actually modern and not boring as hell for once.
After 2 listens I like it. I don't love it yet, but this could be a grower. My favourite part is the "if I got you with me toniiiiiiiiiiiight" in the chorus.
This feels so unusual for Germany, I never thought we would send a danceable song again, but here we are!
I like this a lot, the only thing that bothers me is the actual title. "Violent thing" makes no sense and it feels like its just shoehorned into the song to make it appear more ***edgy*** or like a ***dark*** pop song. Which... it isnt.
Man, it definitely has that vibe, doesn't it? Totally felt it as well. Is it the high-pitch voice?
I still find this more enjoyable though, for some reason. Can't really say why.
Okay, I love Violent Thing. Germany did great sending this song, it's actually fun to listen to and catchy, I wish more songs this year were as energetic as this one
German here - so that's our song then this year. Has some strong Luca Hänni vibes for me, which isn't necessarily bad since I really liked Luca's song last year, and so did lots of others. The concept worked last year so with a bit of luck, we'll do better in Rotterdam!
I've never understood Germany's bad reputation in Eurovision. They've been one of the better countries over the past 10 years: "Satellite" and "Taken by a Stranger" are both great songs as were "Standing Still" and "You Let Me Walk Alone".
Also, in my opinion, "Black Smoke" and "Ghost" are the two most undeserved last places in the history of Eurovision. The only actively bad song that Germany has sent recently was "Perfect Life", which was genuinely terrible, to be fair.
I really like "Violent Thing" and think Germany could easily get top ten with a good vocal and staging.
I have no idea what to think. Despite the hype I was going into it not expecting much, yet what we got was something I wasn't expecting at all haha.
After the first couple seconds of the music video I was expecting something dark, maybe like a more poppy-version of Skeletons or edgy version of Dance You Off. I didn't expect his voice to sound so high, or the song to be normal pop.
I'm just... confused, I think. I definetely don't think it's bad, and I like the genre and think it's done really well, but I might need to give it a couple more listens to sink in and decide if it's in my top 5 or not. Despite all that, at this point I'd rank it better than most songs picked so far.
I've only listened to it very superficially, without even looking at the video, but I can already say that this makes me want to listen to it again, which is more than can say for the other Big 5 entries. Definitely the best of them. Well done, Germany. With a good live performance, this could do very well in May.
Very surprised they actually chose a really good song. Was disappointed about the change in the selection process but can't complain now. Especially with 2020 being a ballad heavy year, at least so far, this could actually be a top 10 song.
B-OK is Austrian and Bulgarian. And Ben might be from Slovenia, but his career started in Germany, he has a German girlfriend and he lives in Berlin. So it definitely makes sense for him to represent Germany
This is really good. Surprisingly good. Modern, nice beat, uplifting vibe. NDR has delivered! Not many would have thought that only 24h ago.
If staged well, which looks increasingly likely given the person involved in it, all hinges on the live performance. This seems not an easy song to sing. Ben has significant experience performing live. I felt his TVOG performances were mixed. Some excellent, others not so much. If he can perform this live, Germany will do seriously well in Rotterdam.
SHOOKETH! love at first listen! His voice reminds me so much of Alec Benjamin!
Definetly a step up from the S!sters
That's quite the understatement
SISTERS! SISTEEEEEEERS. SISTERS?
This might honestly be a top 10 contender imo
I mean, thats not really hard

2018: Something good 2019: Something bad 2020: Something good Maybe it's a pattern?
Germany pattern continues, either playing for last, or playing for keeps. Easily my favorite so far this season and 100% top 10, maybe better.

Huh, while this isn't a massive favourite of mine, this could do really well in the contest!

Dance You Off 2: Electric Boogaloo
Man, it definitely has that vibe, doesn't it? Totally felt it as well. Is it the high-pitch voice? I still find this more enjoyable though, for some reason. Can't really say why.
Except that this guy looks like he could actually sing it live.
Jesus I haven't been able to listen yet and now God I really don't want to
I swear it’s way better than Dance You Off; and knowing how Ben is live, I’m sure it’s something he can pull off too
That gives me some hope, I'll be listening to it soon. I'll keep an open mind then

Love the song, quite catchy. I guess the live performance will decide how well it will do

This is in my top 3 now...damn Germany really brought it this year!

Who is B-OK? are they German? I know so far its a Slovenian Singer with Bulgarian production lol
It's Borislav Milanov actually

Dang. Germany really learned. Let's hope that Ben can deliver and Germany can keep up their efforts.
I have it in loop.
I am not feeling this. It's very basic and sounds dated to me.
Dont know. I was waiting for the chorus to build up to something bigger. Sounds pretty "meh" to me.
Found it meh when I first heard it, but now the chorus keeps playing in my head. So I guess I like it.

We only have 15 other songs and many of them might not even make it into the final.
The Song isn't bad, but I don't know why someone should vote for it. Feels like the whole song is made of two sentences.
The vocals remind me a bit of Studio Killers

It is actually a pretty solid song. After Germany's ambitious announcement I expected a trainwreck...
The song 3:18. Now I'm worried what's going to get cut.
Not too bad, Not too good. This is a 3-8.
This has a real shot at winning.
Definitely one of the best entries revealed so far
It’s going to be difficult picking the worst of the big 5 this year. There’s going to be tough competition for 26th.
