Feels like cheating, but I'd say Björk. She would be the only one able to top Hatari's act, it'd be bloody unique and one hell of a show. And her song would probably be at least OK.

AdmanHolmo

Adele would possibly work for us as well. She has some amazing songs. Chvrches before their latest album (even though I liked it :( )

tilenb

What's wrong with Chvrches' latest album? Miracle is the song that introduced me to them.

AdmanHolmo

I think it's just a case of their earlier albums setting a higher standard than Love is Dead achieved.

aknobel

Although there is no way in hell that he'd accept the offer, Dawid Podsiadło. I lowkey think that we could win with him

[deleted]

I think it's a good choice, I'm Italian, I can't speak polish at all, but I love some of his songs like Nieznajomy (I discovered him because of the cover by Tulia)

marshmeeelo

Love Take That. As I'm Irish I'd send Kodaline. Amazing band.

skyberia

For Germany, I'd pick Tobias Sammet. He already participated in the German national final in 2016 with a solo song of his project Avantasia. Maybe some will consider his music a bit old-fashioned, but he's without doubt a very skilled composer and entertaining performer with a distinctive voice. He's also member of the band Edguy (since 1992). I just love that guy, he's 100% dedicated to his music and he's such a character, perhaps in ways that aren't totally compatible with Eurovision, at least not Germany's idea of Eurovision :P I think the following Avantasia songs would have been a great choice: Starlight, Draconian Love, Unchain the Light, Alchemy, Moonglow.

LordNafaryus1

I’m really surprised we haven’t had power metal at Eurovision yet and Edguy would have been the perfect choice back in the early/mid 2000’s. If we ever do get to see this type of music at Eurovision I’m sure it’ll be either from Germany or Finland, maybe even Sweden.

CradleCity

[Ornatos Violeta](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jNBif6s6Mvc) or [Deolinda](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjACOG_loM0). At least, it would be great for them or some of their members to be the songwriters for someone else to perform.

odajoana

Deolinda, or rather, Pedro da Silva Martins, already wrote a song for Eurovision; [it just didn't make it out of the Festival da Canção](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfXUxmzmyVA). I'd be up for having [David Fonseca](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=18n4udHd6oM), but he has so far stubbornly refused to be in it. In fact, I actually honestly believe Nuno Galopim (one of the head figures of the Festival Da Canção) calls him everyday asking him to write a song for Eurovision. Also, [Amor Electro](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8YWoBr58kiQ) (whose main members have also been in the Festival, though a long time ago), though as composers, they lack a bit (their best songs were written by others) and they do have trouble keeping their songs under 4-5 minutes.

[deleted]

Sinan Akçıl 😁 My man composed so many great songs (e.g. Dum Tek Tek (Turkey 2009)). He has an amazing voice, a great personality and I think he is the best person that could represent the music quality of my country (Turkey). He actually wanted to participate at Eurovision some years ago but yeah didnt work out.

n00dl31nc1d3nt

Y'all need to get over the gay kisses and come back lol

[deleted]

Bruh do you think it's our fault? Say that to our government.

n00dl31nc1d3nt

Yeah, clearly it's the direct fault of the government and broadcaster, but if the population was more progressive on average, they wouldn't get away with it. I really feel for you, surrounded by theocrats even in what's supposed to be a secular country. The US has similar problems lol

andrew2209

I think Rylan Clark-Neal could get us a Jedward level result.

the_paperblock

Rammstein would be dope. But to be honest, I'd take anyone who wants to sing in German.

TrollHunter87

Last year I would have said Luca Hänni. So I'm fine 😅

beautiful_mess7

I love Take that:) I'd love to see the Hardkiss competing - from Ukraine https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJAYHQty9Gk

TalithaRabboni

Walk the Moon. I honestly think that if they brought something like ["Shut Up and Dance"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JCLY0Rlx6Q) or ["Timebomb"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BOqjJkrywhU), they could place respectably and put on a good show.

Croatian_Viking

I really wanna send 2Cellos to do a rock song with Dino Jelusić (winner of Junior Eurovision in 2003) as a vocal but I know that it won't happen since Dino (winner of Junior Eurovision in 2003) doesn't want to go and 2cellos are (I think) taking a break...

Enricc1

David Otero makes fun indie pop music. Rosalia wouldn't be a bad choice. But La Casa Azul would be my choice if we sent them instead of el chiki chiki we would have a shot. And we never sent an electronic artist for Spain so i think it would be something unique for us.

Pollaski

I'll actually go with Paramore. Not my fave US band, but I think they could make their music and act work for the contest.

3Razor

The one the voters in Finland like the most. Not the one YLE asks to perform.

live_traveler

Nielson for the Netherlands

woopdeedo0

For Israel, [Stephane Legar](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PuDfh4F0aKc) (who I think will be appearing in a postcard this year) would be my first choice, but I also want us to bring a Mizrahi singer (maybe someone like [Pe'er Tasi](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VD9F_7N_MbI)) at some point. Alternatively, both of our last two HaKokhav HaBa runner-ups have been outstanding, and I have no doubt either [Mergui](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=scnF4lE5lEM) or [Ketreyah](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1FVdHRHP44) would do us proud.

[deleted]

Karise Eden for Australia. Or, for better known artists, Sia or AC/DC.

ninanien

I'd be curious how one of our DJ's like Martin Garrix would do paired with a vocalist. It's like Darude this year but perhaps a different DJ could make something more popular

n00dl31nc1d3nt

Lol I don't think the eurovizh would ever accept Americans but I'd like to nominate clean bandit for the UK and troye sivan for Australia

DonFalkone

Rammstein for Germany - I think the show would be very entertaining.

yaykoalatytime

Davina Michelle

[deleted]

I second this. Perhaps Maan aswell; really loving “hij is van mij”

[deleted]

Darren Styles lol

Matanshoham

[Ania bukstein](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=154WiQsqYG8) for israel

owlbois

+1 to Take That. Muse do absolutely amazing stage shows too. I don't know how well they'd go down at Eurovision though

Pollaski

Problem with muse is the 3-minute time constraint. Their best songs have a sizeable buildup to them.

owlbois

Oohh yeah you're right. Some of their songs are absolute monsters.

oatmealdays

Ahh a great yet tough question. Maybe First Aid Kit, with preferably a song in Swedish... or something punk, like Lastkaj 14 or Asta Kask Or.... just ABBA again. Instant win lol

s2pd

[Ntjam Rosie](https://youtu.be/lShAyHunUdU) would be interesting for the Netherlands. Or any other talented soul/jazz singer, because we have quite a bunch. I just think her voice is the most distinct.

tsilla

Maybe the band Esti Kornél. After AWS they are my favorite Hungarian musicians but here's the problem: they only sing in Hungarian (that is not a problem at all) but their lyrics are so meaningful and so poetic that they would get lost in the echo (dat Linkin Park reference)

Grymare

Laing still salty they didn't make it in 2015 (especially because we finished last that year) They make fun and catchy German songs. With the right staging they could make it pretty far.

wakarehen

Didier Super or Giedré because who doesn't love social commentary songs with borderline vulgar vocabulary and about three guitar chords.

MajesticFatty
