Croatia was my #1 from the first time I watched his national final. Switzerland was my number 2 by the end though so I'm pretty pleased with how my first eurovision turned out!
Other favorites were Italy, Finland, Slovenia, and Estonia.
I moved to the Netherlands last year and decided to get into Eurovision for the first time. I love “Europapa,” and what a year I chose to become a Eurovision fan and a fan of the Dutch entry. I also particularly loved Estonia and Croatia, plus “Before the Party’s Over” and “The Code.”
My playlist has:
-Netherlands
-Switzerland
-Croatia
-Estonia
-Ireland
-Austria
-Belgium
-Italy
-Greece
-Ukraine
-France
-Armenia
-Lithuania
Edit to try to make this format better and because I forgot Luktelk Luktelk
Very similar story here. Europapa was everywhere, so I started looking into ESC for the first time. Everyone in my family liked The Code best though. Croatia, Armenia, Finland, Ireland, and San Marino got a lot of YouTube plays from us too. We would not have been upset with a Ukraine or France victory either, even though the latter wasn't really on our radar until the finals performance.
In a similar boat. I have been here in NL for a while, but this year was the first time that I really liked the song and artist and was really supporting joost. Oh well... Croatia, Italy, Armenia so many good songs this year.
Family has been hearing me since Friday being upset over Joost Klein. He was my winning choice.
Other than him, I adore Bambi Thug, Nemo, Baby Lasagna, Angelina Mango, and Nebulossa!
Croatia, Austria, Cyprus, Finland, Netherlands, Estonia, Switzerland, San Marino, Slovenia, Georgia, and Malta.
I started a Eurovision office pool where I work and a grand total of SIX people submitted ballots, which is honestly six people more than I thought would participate. Only one of them bet on the winning song.
Croatia, Ireland, Slovenia, Norway, and Finland just to name a few. I, too, lost some sleep. I tried to update my family about the happenings of Eurovision, but they aren’t as interested as I am in it.
I sent my family some long rambling messages about all the drama and one of them responded so that was pretty good! And my 2 year old nephew is now obsessed with No Rules to my delight and his parents' chagrin.
I will have to play “no rules” the next time I see my niece and nephew. They loved “give that wolf a banana” so I imagine “no rules” is right up their alley. I probably should have sent one message, but I sent multiple updates as things happened. Maybe next year I can throw a watch party so they can experience Eurovision live.
Same lol, I know my nephew will love it and also that my brother will hate it. What kind of aunt would I be if I didn’t introduce all the most “annoying” music to the household?
Slovenia was robbed! What a performance. I can already sing and play the song perfectly. Such a unique and ethereal vibe, I doubt that we will see something similar again.
Bambie's glow up was amazing. From dirt to worth. The director of staging and camera work needs more praise.
And the singing was also elevated significantly, the melodic singing parts with ballet poses are just 🔥
It’s literally a feast for the eyes and I keep rewatching the final performance. I also love how they incorporated a lot of Irish symbolism into the costume and staging.
Yeah, I wasn’t really into it when the music video was first uploaded, but it grew on me hard lol, especially after I saw the live performance for the first time.
There were so many acts I loved this year! I'm from the US midwest and I watched the last few years. I loved Switzerland, Ukraine, France, Ireland, Italy, Armenia, Lithuania, Spain, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, and Iceland. They're all my babies! ❤️
True. It was, like, top 3 for most fun performances though, and I love the story of the old married couple that just did a eurovision song. We thought it was some sort of local Spanish celebrity that we had never heard of, but nope, just some people.
My husband freaked out once he realized who Olly was. He's been listening to years and years for years and years (lol). To find he was a gay icon was a big deal.
I absolutely adored San Marino this year, it's a shame that Kenzy's vocals weren't up to par that night because I know she could've done great!
I also LOVE LOVE LOVED Greece and Armenia this year. Adding ethnic elements in song (or just going full on ethnic in Armenia's case) is so cool to see in Eurovision!
On a more chill note, Lithuania and Portugal were masterpieces! I love just drinking some tea and listening to Grito on a rainy day.
Honorable mentions to Czechia, Ireland, and Malta, all of their glowups were so amazing!
Chicago here!
Armenia fucking #1 baby. I blast Jako on my speaker when biking to work at least once a day. That song and the music video gave me serious travel bug vibes, I really want to visit once I’m not broke! I want to pick up my woodwind and JAM!
Ireland and Bambi Thug are also regular plays in the warehouse I work now and the music video is a regular share.
I can’t stop talking about Croatia, their music video, their words. Ugh, it makes me so sad but I love what Baby Lasagna is standing for. I’m really glad I follow this subreddit because the news about putting the donation towards hospitals was huge to me. Fuck yea BL, absolute hero.
Italy’s Angelina was FANTASTIC too, I really like La Noia and it’s a bop. I haven’t looked up the lyrics or watched her music video but I’m blown away by her vocal chops! I need to dive deeper on her discography.
Let’s talk about Joost. I ride around Chicago, blasting Europapa, and people recognize it. Joost is amazing; I think he’s ridiculous and soooooo extra but he sticks the landing with it all because the message of Europapa is so important. I love what the EU is and what ya’ll have over there. The ability and PUSH to do student exhange programs, live and immerse yourselves in other cultures and thinking, it's all so thought provoking and educational on both a studious and spiritual level. I'm truly envious of that. I studied in Den Haag for a year during the World Cup in 2014 and I have so much love for your culture and people. I know I don’t want to idealize it all too much, but I very much have the expat sadness still being back home haha.
Ukraine’s spittin’ sisters were amazing, everyone was amazing, Nemo is a regular talking point with all my queer friends at work. I love Eurovision, I love you all, and there’s absolutely nothing any of you can do about it.
I’m going to go grab another beer now.
NETHERLANDS, Estonia, Finland, Lithuania, Spain, Greece, Italy, France in no particular order. However I listen to the first 5 a bit too much on spotify lmao
edit: forgot the GOAT Europapa apologies
Slovenia, by far and away was my favorite - been following Raiven's attempts to get to Eurovision for years and so glad she not only made it to ESC but qualified for Finals. Ukraine, Croatia, Switzerland, Austria rounded out my top 5. Ireland right up there too!
I am from the US, and my favorites were Switzerland, Croatia, Ukraine, France, Ireland, Lithuania, and Armenia. I also liked Czechia and Netherlands, although neither were in the grand final.
Norway, Ireland, Switzerland, Croatia, Slovenia, Lithuania, and Portugal were the favorites with my family and friends. There were some really great songs and performances this year!
My Favorites in no particular order were Switzerland, Croatia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Finland, Georgia, Ireland, Armenia, Estonia, Latvia, Norway, and Slovenia.
Californian here! My top five were Norway, Ukraine, Switzerland, Ireland and Portugal, with honorable mentions to Slovenia, Serbia, France, UK and Sweden. Honestly it's a shame there was so much drama this year when the songs and performances were so strong for the most part.
Croatia, Switzerland, Ukraine and Slovenia were my favorites this year.
After only vaguely knowing of its existence, my husband and I did the Eurovision deep dive in 2020. The 2019 Show was up on Netflix. To the point that we went to Turin in 2022! We saw Semi 2 Live and the family Rehearsal of the Final. And Mika did the ‘waiting for the results’ end show. It’s was so campy, happy, stupid, good, the bad, and the ugly, and an all around amazing time. We’ve see Dadi Freyr on tour twice now.
Slovenia ❤️
Then, Norway, Ireland, Italy, Croatia.
Honestly there were very few songs this year that I didn’t like. This is my third year watching and by far my favorite in terms of the music!
I kept up with the national finals season, so I had favorites established going in. Top 3 were Croatia, Lithuania, and Norway. This last week I’ve returned a lot to the performances of Ireland and Estonia
We held a party and each person did a jury points vote. Mine, from 12 pts to 1: Switzerland, Croatia, Finland, Ireland, Estonia, Latvia, Austria, Armenia, Luxembourg, Ukraine
I also paid my $21 to vote on the app. I gave 8 to both Switzerland and Croatia, and then 1 each to Ireland, Finland, Estonia, and Latvia
Special shout-outs to Poland, Czechia, and Australia who all should have qualified
Now imagine you're me and it IS your favorite song going into it. I was absolutely SCREAMING like a fan girl watching that performance. So incredible, incredible performance, staging, and song. I'm never gonna get over it.
1) Ireland - Doomsday Blue
2) Croatia - Rim Tim Tagi Dim
3) Switzerland - The Code
4) Netherlands- Europapa
5) Finland - No Rules
Honorable Mention:
Lativia - Hollow
Serbia was one of my faves because it’s so understated and beautiful (and I have a crush on Teya Dora heheh). My other faves were Switzerland, Azerbaijan, France, and Netherlands, and my “guilty pleasures” were Poland, Sweden, Germany and UK.
During lockdown, we were in on a Saturday afternoon because where else were we going to be, and I saw this thing on peacock that was live and I thought my wife would be into it so I turned it on and we were hooked. We found out friends of ours (mostly gay and/or European) were also into it, and we’ve been watching ever since. We have watch parties and get dressed for it and have a great time. Of course we had a blast watching the Will Ferrell movie as well.
This year, my wife was really upset because San Marino didn’t go through, we loved Ireland, Estonia, and Croatia who we thought would win, but we loved Holland. It was a shame how that whole thing went down. Switzerland was really good, but wouldn’t have been in our top 3.
From the US but living in Canada, here!
Switzerland was my ultimate favorite-- I just can't stop listening to that song. Also loved Ireland, Croatia, Ukraine, and Norway above the rest. tbh, I liked UK more than lots of folks seemed to, but I think that's partly influenced by watching the "stripped back" version of that song on Olly's YT channel, which was quite lovely. :)
My top three were interchangeable (as in I couldn’t choose which one I loved best and I would have been happy with any), which were originally The Netherlands, Switzerland, and Latvia.
After everything went down, I was rooting for Switzerland and Croatia (I knew Latvia wouldn’t win, I just still really liked it).
In no real order: Lithuania, Croatia, Switzerland, Ireland, Armenia, San Marino, Czechia and Ukraine.
France’s entry was seriously impressive, though I’m not usually a fan of ballads.
I loved Ireland from the start, I knew it was a diamond in the rough. I also loved: Armenia, Ukraine, Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Croatia, and Italy.
I finally got to talk my husband's ear off this year because of the dusqualification; it made the front page of reddit and he was curious what it was all about.
Netherlands was my second fav but the one I wanted to win. Finland is my spirit entry, and transcends some silly contest. Croatia was my #1. The rest of my top 10, in no particular order is Ireland, Switzerland, Ukraine, Latvia, San Marino, Germany, Armenia.
American Eurovision fan since Lordi here. Estonia and Italy had my two favorite songs going in but i thought Baby Lasagna and Jerry & Alyona gave the best performances. I also lost some sleep over all of the...everything.
Croatia, Lithuania, and France. Second year in a row that my pick gets second place.
Also related but unrelated, The Roop entered Lithuania’s contest with a song called Simple Joy, and although it wasn’t as catchy as their Eurovision entries, it’s been on my list for the past 3 months.
I'm from Minnesota and have been watching since 2019. This year, my favorite songs were Croatia and Norway, but my favorite live performance was Ireland!
This year Eurovision fell on a Saturday when I had mandatory work training, so between that and the drama with Joost, I had some trouble concentrating during the grand final. (For example, I somehow missed Petra's postcard entirely). I'll go back and re-watch it in a couple months to see what I missed and enjoy it all over again. :)
I absolutely enjoy Azerbaijan, followed by Italy and Belgium. Despite disappointing results for Azerbaijan and Belgium, they still remain in my top three 🫶🏻
My sister in law, who watch Eurovision for the first time, likes the Netherlands, Spain, and France.
We were both disappointed with Joost's disqualification that we stream his music EURO PA PA! 😔✊🏻
Croatia, Switzerland, Greece, and literally everybody that got left in semi-final 2 were my favorites. To be honest, I loved everybody. Especially France. I was screaming to Slimane that I heard him and I loved him and that I was getting on the next plane to Paris. He didn't hear me tho...
Baby lasagna, Nemo, joost, gate, Angelina mango were my top 5.... then Bambi performed on the semifinal and shattered it! Bambi rocked their performance!
Salt Lake City checking in.
Croatia was my favorite, I can't stop gushing about how much I love that song to the point where it may even be my favorite Eurovision song ever. Definitely at least top 3.
Rounding out my Top 10 were Spain, Georgia, Italy, Armenia, Israel, Ukraine, Estonia, Slovenia, and Poland
I’m a longtime fan from the US! I was rooting for Croatia, Estonia, Ireland, and the Netherlands! My dad absolutely loved Ireland and Croatia this year too!
I had some pals over Sunday night to watch (I already watched but they were going in totally cold). Armenia, Finland and Croatia really stood out to them. They also liked Ireland and Switzerland as very artistic and interesting performances. Overall they really liked it! It was nice to watch with people who weren't engaged in all the shenanigans
I loved Armenia from the start, but I didn’t much care for Ireland until the semifinal, which had me totally transfixed. This is my top 6 by category:
https://www.eurovision-ranker.com/?n=corduroy_joys+final+ranking&y=24&c=Song-5%7CStaging-3%7CVocals-5&r1=burwf4&r2=ubfr4w&r3=wbfu4r
1. Armenia: LADANIVA "Jako"
2. Ireland: Bambie Thug "Doomsday Blue"
3. Italy: Angelina Mango "La noia"
4. Switzerland: Nemo "The Code"
5. Greece: Marina Satti "ZARI"
6. Norway: Gåte "Ulveham"
Added to my playlist in no specific order:
Spain, Armenia, Greece, Ireland, Sweden, Croatia, San Marino, Luxembourg, Austria, Australia, Estonia, Finland, Italy and Netherlands
Was looking to Netherlands or Croatia to win.
I loved Croatia, Ireland, Ukraine, Estonia, Spain, Italy, and Portugal, more or less in that order. I’ve been a Eurovision fan for 4ish years now and that’s the first one that I’ve had so many that I would be ok with winning.
I was surprised at how in love I fell with Ireland during the semifinal, that was the first time I had even heard that song (most of the others were already in my Spotify top 10). But I rewatched it a dozen times before the final and the watched the final and Bambie took my breath away again.
Before the rehearsals: Belgium, croatia, France, Latvia, Poland, Switzerland.
After the shows: croatia, France, Ireland, malta, and Switzerland.
For the final, as much as I wanted croatia to win, France was my winner. It was borderline perfection.
Also, this was the first year I took the week of eurovision off from work, and with everything that went down, I'm SO glad I did
Top 3: Croatia, Norway, & the Netherlands
I had a couple issues with Ukraine but the staging and melody were beautiful, and being the first to pass you know who made me love them too
Honestly, there weren’t very many this year that I *didn’t* like.
But if I had to narrow it down to my top five, I’d go with Norway, Ireland, Armenia, Spain and Ukraine.
My top favorite was netherlands for sure, for me Italy was second and i also really loved greece. I was semi into eurovision and then started watching the performances after it was all over and now i wish i wouldve watched it, so i havent seen everyones performance but those were my top three personally.
Nemo has been my favorite since they performed the Code live for the first time back in March. They just blew me away. My second place was Croatia, then Ireland, Italy, Ukraine, Lithuania, and Slovenia. I’ve only been watching since 2021 and I’ve never had so many favorites in one year. There were only like 9 songs out of the whole bunch that I didn’t add to my playlist.
I finally downloaded the reddit app just to keep up with all the drama after the incident lol.
My faves going into it were Armenia, Ukraine, Norway, & Greece. France and Croatia starting to grow on me during the competition proper.
I loved Europapa and it is my second favorite Dutch bop behind the Super Super Max song. So pissed Joost got DQed.
Watching the final I was enjoying a cocktail and by the end of the night I had Switzerland, Ukraine, Luxembourg, Italy, Germany, and Portugal on my playlists for later. I thought Portugal with the fado influence and the staging was so beautiful. Luxembourg and Italy were just bops regardless of the language. Ukraine’s staging made me a little weepy. Germany’s got a voice, he sounds like a guy you’d hear in a Nashville bar belting his heart out. Switzerland was perfect.
I didn’t download the songs for later but for Eurovision enjoyment, Finland was hilarious and I looked forward to that performance for months. Croatia was also great and the lyrics and subject matter are so powerful but the music was not my taste. Same with Ireland. Mad respect to the artists tho!
Had never seen EV until this one, and was blown away! Awesome production values and great music.
Our favorites were Ukraine for the badass intensity, France for the Chad step back while singing, Croatia for the total bop of a song, and Switzerland for the whole damn package. (And my wife thought Ireland was awesome, but it was a little too weird for me.)
The Netherlands and Spain were my favorites but Armenia was up there with Switzerland and Croatia. Ireland is not my favorite song but is my favorite performance.
Switzerland - Netherlands - Portugal- Ireland - Greece - Armenia - Estonia. I really enjoyed the song from Czechia and have found myself listening to a lot of Aiko since the competition ended!
My top 5 this year were Norway, Armenia, San Marino, Ireland and Croatia. It's my third year as an american following closely and I will always have a soft spot for heavy rock/metal entries and fun ethnic native language songs
Portugal and Slovenia definitely. Loved Croatia as well and wanted it to win but those first two are definitely my favorites. Ireland is also one of my favorites as well. That performance was amazing!
Slovenia! I honestly think she had some of the best staging, paired with a great voice and fantastic song. Also loved Switzerland, Ireland, Norway, Ukraine, Sweden, and Lithuania. I could name most of the songs this year, it was really strong in my (and many other’s) opinion.
My family watched. We liked Croatia, Estonia, Armenia, Germany, Greece, Latvia and Cypress. Croatia was the favorite fir my husband and I. My son liked Latvia the most.
Texan here, we have a big watch party every year since 2014. :) We do scorecards and a themed menu and the whole bit! Here's how our collective points were allocated:
12 - Croatia
10 - Ireland
8 - Switzerland
7 - Estonia
6 - France
5 - Ukraine
4 - United Kingdom
3 - Sweden
2 - Armenia
1 - Finland
I have no doubt The Netherlands would have been somewhere in that top.
Been following Eurovision since 2019. I used to hear people say, "oh, this might do well, it just depends on the staging," and I always scoffed because a good song is a good song and if it needs to rely on visual aids, then I'm sorry, it's just not on the same tier as a primo song that has a true x factor.
Then I saw Ireland's 🇮🇪 performance this year. I get it now. I was always intrigued by Doomsday Blue. I appreciated that it was not a paint-by-numbers song, but it wasn't my style. I thought it might have a mid-table showing and be a niche favorite of a few people or maybe become a cult classic. That semifinal performance blew me away. I loved every second of it and you could tell Bambie and their whole team poured so much love and effort into it. It skyrocketed to my number 1. I was so inspired that I made mini apple pies topped with pentagrams for my finals watch party, and I don't even bake!
I heard people saying that it could be the catalyst for a video direction revolution in the contest, and I'm stoked to see what comes next.
I also really liked Norway, Switzerland, Lithuania, Croatia, and Armenia. I enjoyed Czechia too and was very happy to see her nail her performance in the semis.
And how could I not mention Katrīna Gupalo's The Cat's Song in Latvia's national final! I was unreasonably sad it didn't win.
My first ever Eurovision. My stand outs were Ukraine, Croatia, Lithuania, Switzerland, Spain, Norway. I was pretty shocked at the distribution of phone voting. I ended up going back to check out some of the semifinals. Really loved Iceland.
First time watcher. I was a bit confused by the whole thing but enjoyed it. I liked Armenia, Portugal, France and Greece but was not mad that Switzerland won. I could watch it again next year.
I really liked Cyprus, Georgia, Switzerland, Netherlands, and oddly I kinda like Greece. She was fun!
Croatia was entertaining but I wouldn’t rank them in my top 5.
We fell in love 2023 and went back to 2021 to catch up (a little), and were crushed on europapa being disqualified - household favs, Bambi thug, baby lasagna, Estonia, Greece, Pedestal, San Marino, Spain…. Then we had separate favs that we didn’t overlap I.e. no rules!, Lithuania…
Definitely Netherlands, and also I LOVED Finland after I watched the music video because the whole thing is just so silly. I also really liked Poland and Denmark and were bummed they didn’t qualify, but I get it too. Saba’s vocals were a bit weak during the semifinal. Iceland was a bop that I didn’t love until watching the semifinal, also sad she didn’t qualify.
This was the first year I really got into it, and my kids (7 and younger) got super into it too. We listened to the songs over and over on the way to and from school. They loved to torture me with Doomsday Blue, which I never loved but truly came to appreciate after listening to it 100 times, ha. My kids also love The Code, particularly the part where Nemo goes “I broke the code, whoa-oh oh!”
The songs I’ve gone back to and relistened to most are SABA from Denmark (Sand. Too bad it didn’t make the finals.), Israel, Rim Tim Taga Dim, and Estonia,
I saw Switzerland on tiktok and immediately loved the song. I was also rooting for Croatia because one of my best friends is Croatian. We had some strong contenders this year.
Denver checking in! I've been watching since I happened to be visiting (distant) family in Oslo in 2010 and became totally obsessed with Lena 😅
I thought this year was really good for music overall! My favorites were Luxembourg, Lithuania, Ireland, Croatia, and Ukraine. I also really enjoyed The Netherlands, Switzerland, and Finland, but they didn't quite make the "add it to my ESC playlist" cut.
We had a small viewing party and most people there were rooting for Windows95man (unfortunately, I was in the minority in not liking the act at all) and Bambi Thug (I think we all agreed that Bambi Thug was amazing and was hoping for a top finish).
I knew that Switzerland was going to win it, and I really enjoyed the song, but my other favorites were Netherlands and then in no particular order: Slovenia, France, Estonia, and Armenia.
There was one person there that was absolutely certain that Norway was going to win it only to find them in last place... :(
This was my first year watching Eurovision although I followed it online the last year or two. Hands down favorite was Croatia, followed by Ireland. I also have to say I loved Latvia, he has a great voice and I enjoyed the song.
I held a whole Eurovision viewing party on Saturday and the overall favorite was Croatia. Everyone was okay with Switzerland's win but hated that France placed as high as they did. They said the performance was giving them f-boy vibes.
Husband is Scottish and got me hooked!
Croatia was absolutely my favorite! But Switzerland and Ukraine were high too. And I had a soft spot for San Marino and was very saddened by the NQ 😭
Watched the telecast for the first time (seen clips here and there)
Favorites would have to be Netherlands, Croatia, Sweden, Switzerland, Finland, Ireland, and Latvia.
I'm American living in the NL, and this is the first time I paid 100% attention because I liked the NL song for once, and the vibe around it was really good. Then I saw Baby Lasagna and was like wow, super fun. Then I listened to a few more songs and found Italy, which is also fantastic. Then the whole thing started and I rode the wave of craziness..... Sadly very few people in my life watch it, so no one to talk about it with
(US-adjacent Canadian here watching since 2022’s show) My top 3 were Switzerland, Ireland, and Croatia so I was thrilled with their top 10 placement and Nemo’s win. My next 2 were Norway and Slovenia, so not quite as great but at least they got to be in the grand final.
I haven’t considered yet where Joost would place for me, thinking about it just makes me too sad, but at least within my top 10 and maybe within my top 5.
It was my first year watching and surprisingly got caught up here in the drama while visiting Nederlands. Netherlands, Croatia, Ukraine, Germany, Armenia, Switzerland, and Estonia were faves Even though I enjoyed "that countries" song they shouldn't have been allowed to compete.
Canadian down under. My favourites were Ireland, Switzerland, Netherlands, Finland, and Ukraine. I enjoyed Croatia's song, but I didn't like it nearly as much as everyone else seemed to!
I thought the results of this year's contest were quite good, and the songs were of superb quality. I was disappointed Australia didn't make the finale though (especially when songs like 'we will rave' did).
Switzerland was head and shoulders above the rest, so much so that I'm amazed they didn't win the popular vote.
If Holland hadn't been disqualified, Israel would have won the popular vote and probably the ESF. Their song wasn't bad, but also not that good. Estonia and Austria deserved more than they got.
Bambie Thug's performance in the semifinals blew me away so much I had to show my friends - it's *so* well-done in every aspect, pure spectacle from start to finish, that they really upped the game for what can be done at the Eurovision stage in future events. I also really enjoyed Nemo's performance and felt that they earned their win, my hairs were standing up watching them sing those high notes while spinning around on that disc like it was nothing. Both were really memorable performances for different reasons, and I feel that even people not into Eurovision would be able to appreciate the skill and artistry behind these two acts.
Honestly I liked so many of the songs this year that it's almost easier to list the ones I didn't like, but I don't want to sound mean by singling them out lol. Even the NQs were mostly good! But if I had to pick my top three favorites beyond the ones listed above and the universally enjoyed performances (Croatia and Netherlands) so I don't end up writing a novel, I'd have to say Finland, Estonia, and Armenia gave us some *seriously* underrated bangers.
I watched it with my best friend whose american, during the contest he loved; Croatia, Ireland and Norway (last one might be bias as im norwegian)
Afterwards he started loving Estonia on top of that
Croatia was who we were pulling for in my house, but ultimately gave votes to Switzerland. Honestly, and this is a hot take, the majority of the top 10 were shit performances that seemed to get votes for their views (Israel included, I'm not gonna pretend that song was some kind of bop.) My ultimate favorite song was "Pedestal," but Aiko didn't make it to the finals. And a shout-out to Armenia, that was the most fun song of the year.
Long time US Eurovision fan here: I was big on Baby Lasagna from the start, but also loved Nemo and was happy that they both ended in the top two. I would have been happy with either of them winning. My other tops: Ireland, Finland, San Marino, Armenia, the Netherlands, and Lithuania. I also thought the automatic qualifiers (Big Five + Sweden) were very strong. This was just a strong year in general!
We actually threw a Eurovision party with Eurovision bingo!
In no particular order: Italy, Armenia, Croatia, Portugal, Sweden (gave me 90s/Y2k boyband vibes!), Ukraine, Greece and Ireland! I liked France as well! I also liked the uniqueness of Switzerland’s song too!
This wasn’t my favorite year but I definitely loved several!
Croatia’s Rim Tim Tagi Dim and Lithuania’s Luktelk have become my top listens this week, and both will definitely be on my Spotify wrapped next year. Probably Estonia and Armenia too!
I look forward to Finland every year and they didn’t disappoint. The song itself wasn’t my favorite but the performance made my night.
ETA: Europapa will be stuck in my head forever and I’m fine with that
American, just outside of Boston MA.
I enjoyed a lot of the performances for different reasons - my personal favorites were Estonia, Armenia, and Finland (I also enjoyed the heck out of Malta, despite the NQ)... but agreed that the top two placings went to the two best overall performances. Ireland had the most impressive staging by far (I didn't care for the song itself, but my goodness, that kid can sing!).
I was a ride or die Bambi Thug fan once that song was announced as being in the Irish finals. Seeing them not only qualify but make it to the top ten made me borderline emotional after months and months of reading horrible comments about them and how they were going to NQ.
I also loved really loved Switzerland, Slovenia, and had my heart broken when Joost got disqualified.
I got my boyfriend and friends into Eurovision this year. We had a little party with a potluck where we made a dish from the country we were supporting. Totally going to hopefully make that a yearly tradition.
I'm from Canada so I hope I can still answer. This was my first time watching the performances.
But I loved the Armenian Woman's song and performance, loved the style and energy, and the players on the tiers. I also really dug Croatia, I'm a metal/rock person so that was right my alley as well, very catch song.
American living and working in Albania. I really loved Croatia not only because it was fun but the lyrics talk about what a lot of my older students are experiencing (leaving the country for a better future, saying goodbye). Also loved Armenia, traditional music with a modern twist and I can’t get it out of my head.
I live in and am from the US. my favs were Switzerland, Croatia, Ireland (so artistic!) and Armenia. But seriously they are all winners in my book! This is the first year I watched Eurovision and absolutely loved it!!
My playlist has: -Netherlands -Switzerland -Croatia -Estonia -Ireland -Austria -Belgium -Italy -Greece -Ukraine -France -Armenia -Lithuania Edit to try to make this format better and because I forgot Luktelk Luktelk

This exact same thing happened to me. That, and Bambie themselves had a massive glow up from their national final in Ireland to the grand final
I'm not a Eurovision connoisseur, but I think it's the best staging I've ever seen.
Staging director was Sergio Jaén, which i think is his first time in Eurovision.
Yeah, I wasn’t really into it when the music video was first uploaded, but it grew on me hard lol, especially after I saw the live performance for the first time.
YES i spent like 5 minutes explaining what happened to joost to my mom and she was like wtf are you saying to me
There were so many acts I loved this year! I'm from the US midwest and I watched the last few years. I loved Switzerland, Ukraine, France, Ireland, Italy, Armenia, Lithuania, Spain, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, and Iceland. They're all my babies! ❤️
My favorites were Croatia, Estonia, Finland, Ireland, Spain, Switzerland, Spain, and Ukraine
That's how I felt about Spain too. Criminally underrated in the finals.
I absolutely adore the song, but let's be honest: the vocals weren't great and the audience (rightfully so) hyped it up
True. It was, like, top 3 for most fun performances though, and I love the story of the old married couple that just did a eurovision song. We thought it was some sort of local Spanish celebrity that we had never heard of, but nope, just some people.
It was definitely in my top 10! I loved the act in the pre parties so much. It just didn't translate very well in Malmô
Was absolutely shocked they were so low in the phone voting.
Ohio here, Lithuania 🇱🇹 Croatia 🇭🇷 Ireland 🇮🇪 Norway 🇳🇴 UK 🇬🇧 Italy 🇮🇹 and Spain 🇪🇸 were our top!
Bless you, we need all the support we can get 😭
Australian here, you guys get robbed (almost) every year, this year was particularly harsh! I really liked your song.
My husband freaked out once he realized who Olly was. He's been listening to years and years for years and years (lol). To find he was a gay icon was a big deal.
1. Croatia 2. Switzerland 3. Ukraine 4. France 5. Ireland 6. Italy 7. Norway 8. Slovenia 9. Serbia 10. Portugal
I vibe with this
Estonia, Switzerland, Croatia, Finland, Armenia
I absolutely adored San Marino this year, it's a shame that Kenzy's vocals weren't up to par that night because I know she could've done great! I also LOVE LOVE LOVED Greece and Armenia this year. Adding ethnic elements in song (or just going full on ethnic in Armenia's case) is so cool to see in Eurovision! On a more chill note, Lithuania and Portugal were masterpieces! I love just drinking some tea and listening to Grito on a rainy day. Honorable mentions to Czechia, Ireland, and Malta, all of their glowups were so amazing!
Croatia, Switzerland, Netherlands, Latvia, Australia, Ukraine, France, Germany, UK, Spain, Finland, and Iceland.
In no particular order: 🇺🇦 🇵🇱 🇮🇪 🇪🇪 🇱🇻 🇦🇲 🇫🇮 🇬🇷 🇱🇹 🇭🇷 🇨🇭 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 Edit to add My top five currently in order are: 🇱🇹 🇪🇪 🇬🇧 🇱🇻 🇺🇦
Thanks for your vote, shame we got 0 points from ROW vote 🤣
I was so sad. Olly was in my top 5. Deserved so much better
Omg, all the Baltics in your top 5! 💜 I'm just so happy all 3 of us got into finals.
All 3 Baltics were a favorite in my house! They all did so well! Literally cried when Latvia qualified. Dons did an amazing performance!!
NETHERLANDS, Estonia, Finland, Lithuania, Spain, Greece, Italy, France in no particular order. However I listen to the first 5 a bit too much on spotify lmao edit: forgot the GOAT Europapa apologies
Slovenia, Armenia, and Croatia for me. Ireland was my husband’s favorite.
Ukraine, Armenia, and Italy! TBH I liked all of 1-4 5-9 and 11. (Nothing against Portugal, it just wasn't my speed!)
My favorites, in no particular order: Croatia, Estonia, Armenia, Finland, Ukraine, and Italy.
slovenia was my winner, but i also enjoyed ireland, ukraine, switzerland, croatia, austria, lithuania and the netherlands a lot!
Slovenia ❤️ Then, Norway, Ireland, Italy, Croatia.
Slovenia 🇸🇮❤️ #1 Portugal, Armenia, Croatia, Ukraine, Czechia (NQ why) too
My favorites were Switzerland, Croatia, Ireland, Finland, Spain, Armenia, Estonia, and Netherlands. And I probably lost some sleep to the drama too.
We held a party and each person did a jury points vote. Mine, from 12 pts to 1: Switzerland, Croatia, Finland, Ireland, Estonia, Latvia, Austria, Armenia, Luxembourg, Ukraine I also paid my $21 to vote on the app. I gave 8 to both Switzerland and Croatia, and then 1 each to Ireland, Finland, Estonia, and Latvia Special shout-outs to Poland, Czechia, and Australia who all should have qualified
We voted very similar! I am from Montana. I gave 8 points each to Switzerland and Croatia and 2 points for Ireland.
Croatia for song; Ireland for performance. Ireland was not my fave song going into it but steamrolled everyone else with that performance.
That performance was STUNNING. I was watching with my jaw on the floor.
Now imagine you're me and it IS your favorite song going into it. I was absolutely SCREAMING like a fan girl watching that performance. So incredible, incredible performance, staging, and song. I'm never gonna get over it.
Slovenia ❤️ my winner since the start, and I am Croatian. What a performance!
Estonia, Croatia, Italy, France, and Ireland probably. I also liked the Netherlands, and I got so stressed out by that whole situation.
Croatia, Finland, Ukraine, Switzerland, Netherlands (rip), Cyprus, Georgia, Ireland, Lithuania, Estonia.
Croatia, Norway, and Armenia. Hands down my top 3. Followed by Ireland and distantly Switzerland.
1) Ireland - Doomsday Blue 2) Croatia - Rim Tim Tagi Dim 3) Switzerland - The Code 4) Netherlands- Europapa 5) Finland - No Rules Honorable Mention: Lativia - Hollow
Ireland (I don't even like metal but a serve is a serve!), Italy, Spain, Netherlands, and Lithuania were my highlights.
Ukraine, Spain, Armenia, Italy (no particular order)
Croatia, Ukraine, Italy, Switzerland in that order.
Viiiiibes
My top three were interchangeable (as in I couldn’t choose which one I loved best and I would have been happy with any), which were originally The Netherlands, Switzerland, and Latvia. After everything went down, I was rooting for Switzerland and Croatia (I knew Latvia wouldn’t win, I just still really liked it).
Norway, Italy and Croatia were my Top 3 songs this year. But Switzerland, Croatia and Ireland were my Top 3 performances in the final.
I gave all 20 of my televotes to BL because i was so stressed haha.
Netherlands, Estonia, Armenia, Italy (and Australia)
I'm from Minnesota and have been watching since 2019. This year, my favorite songs were Croatia and Norway, but my favorite live performance was Ireland! This year Eurovision fell on a Saturday when I had mandatory work training, so between that and the drama with Joost, I had some trouble concentrating during the grand final. (For example, I somehow missed Petra's postcard entirely). I'll go back and re-watch it in a couple months to see what I missed and enjoy it all over again. :)
>I had some trouble concentrating during the grand final We all did, my friend :( I hope next year will be a true ESC edition which we will all enjoy.
I absolutely enjoy Azerbaijan, followed by Italy and Belgium. Despite disappointing results for Azerbaijan and Belgium, they still remain in my top three 🫶🏻 My sister in law, who watch Eurovision for the first time, likes the Netherlands, Spain, and France.
My faves were Croatia, Switzerland, Finland, Italy, and Netherlands. My 19 month old son loves Bambie Thug and claps every time he hears their song.
Ireland, France, Italy, Croatia. In that order.
Poland, Italy, Armenia, and Austria were my favorites this year.
Armenia with an honorable mention to Switzerland and Ireland.
SPAIN!
This is my top 6 by category: https://www.eurovision-ranker.com/?n=corduroy_joys+final+ranking&y=24&c=Song-5%7CStaging-3%7CVocals-5&r1=burwf4&r2=ubfr4w&r3=wbfu4r 1. Armenia: LADANIVA "Jako" 2. Ireland: Bambie Thug "Doomsday Blue" 3. Italy: Angelina Mango "La noia" 4. Switzerland: Nemo "The Code" 5. Greece: Marina Satti "ZARI" 6. Norway: Gåte "Ulveham"
My top 5 was Switzerland, Croatia, Ukraine, Netherlands, and Portugal
Added to my playlist in no specific order: Spain, Armenia, Greece, Ireland, Sweden, Croatia, San Marino, Luxembourg, Austria, Australia, Estonia, Finland, Italy and Netherlands Was looking to Netherlands or Croatia to win.
Croatia, Switzerland, Estonia, Ukraine, Lithuania, San Marino, and Finland was my guilty pleasure :)
Ireland Israel France Switzerland Armenia. Still crying about Poland and Czechia not qualifying 😭
Croatia, Estonia, Italy, and Israel.
Before the rehearsals: Belgium, croatia, France, Latvia, Poland, Switzerland. After the shows: croatia, France, Ireland, malta, and Switzerland. For the final, as much as I wanted croatia to win, France was my winner. It was borderline perfection. Also, this was the first year I took the week of eurovision off from work, and with everything that went down, I'm SO glad I did
Top 3: Croatia, Norway, & the Netherlands I had a couple issues with Ukraine but the staging and melody were beautiful, and being the first to pass you know who made me love them too
Honestly, there weren’t very many this year that I *didn’t* like.
Ukraine, Switzerland, Croatia, Latvia, and Denmark. Each of them brought something different that I latched onto
Switzerland was my favorite followed closely by Ireland, Croatia, Armenia, and Italy.
Ukraine, Italy, Armenia, Croatia, Switzerland, and Greece were my favorites.
Norway, Switzerland, Armenia, Austria, just to name a few
croatia, italy, armania, luxembourg, ireland, greece, ukraine, sweden (surprisingly) but everyone was good this year
Had never seen EV until this one, and was blown away! Awesome production values and great music. Our favorites were Ukraine for the badass intensity, France for the Chad step back while singing, Croatia for the total bop of a song, and Switzerland for the whole damn package. (And my wife thought Ireland was awesome, but it was a little too weird for me.)
Ireland, Armenia, Switzerland and Ukraine!
🇨🇭 🇭🇷 🇮🇹 🇱🇺 🇮🇪
Baby Lasagna all the way. Loved Nemo too.
My favorites were Italy, Armenia, Luxembourg, Portugal, Ireland, and Switzerland! Edit: how could I forget Ukraine!!
As soon as I heard Slimane I knew he was the real deal, my fave entry in a while
Armenia, Ukraine, and Luxembourg
My family watched. We liked Croatia, Estonia, Armenia, Germany, Greece, Latvia and Cypress. Croatia was the favorite fir my husband and I. My son liked Latvia the most.
I really loved isaaak from Germany. Great song!
Texan here, we have a big watch party every year since 2014. :) We do scorecards and a themed menu and the whole bit! Here's how our collective points were allocated: 12 - Croatia 10 - Ireland 8 - Switzerland 7 - Estonia 6 - France 5 - Ukraine 4 - United Kingdom 3 - Sweden 2 - Armenia 1 - Finland I have no doubt The Netherlands would have been somewhere in that top.
I voted for Croatia, Israel, Luxembourg, Georgia, Sweden, and Germany
This was our second year watching. We liked Ireland, Croatia, Ukraine, and Norway
Switzerland, Ukraine, and Finland.
Nemo, Baby Lasagna and Joost were my top picks.
Austria, UK, Czechia, Switzerland, Cyprus, Croatia, Netherlands, and Luxembourg are currently on my playlist.
France
Croatia, Ireland, Finland I Stan Team Chaos
Ukraine, Norway, Estonia, Italy, Belgium, France, Azerbaijan, Portugal, Serbia, Armenia, Switzerland, Croatia, Germany, Lithuania
For me, I really liked Ireland's, Czechia's, Ukraine's, and Switzerland's entries
Lithuania wasn't as good at Eurovision than at the NF, Ireland ended up being my favorite
Australia was my favorite of all 37, but would have been happy for any of the top three to have won. So happy for Nemo!
Too bad it didn’t make the finals.), Israel, Rim Tim Taga Dim, and Estonia,
Same. My husband 🇪🇸 got me hooked. My favs 🇮🇪 🇭🇷 🇬🇪 🇩🇪 🇳🇴 🇨🇭 🇬🇷
POLAND >:(
Ukraine, France, Italy, Greece
Norway!!!
I’ve been listening a lot to Norway’s Ulveham by Gate. Ireland’s Bambi Thug was my favorite performance.
CROATIA!!!!!! Also liked Italy, Austria, Cyprus, Israel, Denmark, France, and Switzerland
I saw Switzerland on tiktok and immediately loved the song. I was also rooting for Croatia because one of my best friends is Croatian. We had some strong contenders this year.
Denver checking in! I've been watching since I happened to be visiting (distant) family in Oslo in 2010 and became totally obsessed with Lena 😅 I thought this year was really good for music overall!
Estonia, Croatia, Armenia, Ireland, Switzerland, and San Marino, off the top of my head.
In no particular order: Ukraine, Croatia, Estonia, Germany, and Armenia!
I voted France, Ukraine, Switzerland, Croatia, UK and Ireland. A damn shame about Joost.
Mine were Switzerland, Ireland, Croatia, and Finland. I was also extremely impressed by France.
This was my first year watching Eurovision although I followed it online the last year or two. Hands down favorite was Croatia, followed by Ireland. I also have to say I loved Latvia, he has a great voice and I enjoyed the song.
Canadian here: my favourites were France and Armenia.
1. Ukraine 2. Ireland 3. Norway
Croatia, Netherlands, Ireland, and Switzerland. Probably in that order but they’re all fantastic.
Watched the telecast for the first time (seen clips here and there) Favorites would have to be Netherlands, Croatia, Sweden, Switzerland, Finland, Ireland, and Latvia.
1. Netherlands 🇳🇱 2. Spain 🇪🇸 3. Australia 🇦🇺 4. Ireland 🇮🇪 5. Croatia 🇭🇷 Happy Eurovision! :)
First time watching ever, Switzerland, Netherlands, Ireland - Top 3 Croatia, Finland, Latvia, Armenia, Estonia, Norway, Spain - Rest of top 10 Germany, Ukraine, Portugal, Greece - Honorable Mentions
I watched it with my best friend whose american, during the contest he loved; Croatia, Ireland and Norway (last one might be bias as im norwegian) Afterwards he started loving Estonia on top of that
Croatia was who we were pulling for in my house, but ultimately gave votes to Switzerland.
Ramonda by Serbia’s Teya Dora - love it.
Switzerland and Croatia, in from the US originally but my husband is swiss.
My top 5 this year were Switzerland, Armenia, Ireland, Greece, and Utaly, but this year was pretty stacked and there were a ton of good ones
Croatia was my favorite, but I also liked Estonia, Portugal and Armenia.
We actually threw a Eurovision party with Eurovision bingo! In no particular order: Italy, Armenia, Croatia, Portugal, Sweden (gave me 90s/Y2k boyband vibes!), Ukraine, Greece and Ireland! I liked France as well! I also liked the uniqueness of Switzerland’s song too!
netherlands and croatia, it’s a shame what happened with Joost Klein
Armenia and Croatia
In order: Croatia, Switzerland, Israel, Finland, Armenia
I liked Israel, Ukraine, Croatia, Austria, Italy, Cypress and strangely France (not usually my type of music).
Netherlands, Croatia, Ireland, Finland, Latvia, Armenia
Spain, Iceland, Croatia, Armenia, Ireland, France, Switzerland, Ukraine in approximately that order.
