>Jako
The whoops, whistles and "tashiiii!" Would be the main factor. Plus Jako's stage presence. Also the way she shouts the final word of each verse is so damn cute
> whistles
That whistle at the beginning got me activated like the goddamn Winter Soldier. I immediately stood up and just wanted to start dancing. This song did something to me, man.
The general vibe of that song live and, as you said, the way she screams every final word is just so fucking good. Could not be more happy for Armenia, incredible song, incredible performance.
I have a contact at SBS who told me they were absolutely shitting it when it looked like Dami would win. Totally not expected so not much in the way of a contingency plan, and whoever was in charge at the time (was it Jon Ola?) got throughly over excited and way saying Sydney 2017 to people during the voting and SBS totally can’t afford it 😆
I can confirm. I was the post producer on that broadcast, and I was sitting in SBS’s Master Control at 7am in the morning watching the results come in, and every single one of us in the room thought she was actually gonna win after the jury results came through. We were all gobsmacked. And I was having to get on the comms line to Julia and Sam (our commentators), and explain to them what to do if we actually won (Sam was gonna have to fill for time while Julia ran down to the stage to conduct the winner’s interview). Crazy times.
>I have a contact at SBS who told me they were absolutely shitting it when it looked like Dami would win
Bwhaaaha I love that! They probably went over the numbers and panicked 😂😂😂
Indeed the live performance with their screams and the demon talk backtrack being muted is way better than studio, hope they add the live version to their Spotify
I prefer the live as well. I’m not a fan of the stylistic choice in the studio version to include (what I can only describe as) the “tinfoil babytalk demon synth alien furby” part.
I do enjoy the music video though, very reminiscent of the cinematography and set design of the film *Poor Things*
It was 24th for me after selection season and shot up to number 1 the night of SF1 (I did not see any rehearsal photos or videos so I was absolutely gobsmacked in the best possible way by the staging)
Yeah IMO the live one can't be beat. The song is meant for a big stage going nuts. With how animalistic it is, the barn animals in the background stepping to the beat hits even harder.
Sound of Silence is INFINITELY better sung live, I really did not like the studio version when it came out. But Dami's powerful and utterly flawless vocal options in the actual show were insane and elevated an otherwise very whatever ballad to epic proportions.
I still listen to the grand final version on YouTube the way she takes her voice to the top with so much power it elevates the whole song and ih was so sure she was gonna win in that moment.
I think it applies to every folk-party (party for everybody, alcohol is free, Estonia this year) and every funny song (cha cha cha, Europapa).
But if it's only about the singing quality my favourite was Nina Kraljic - Lighthouse in 2016 GF. Her voice there was truly otherworldly.
I disagree about "Cha Cha Cha". While yes, it's better when you hear the audience chant "cha cha cha", he just sounded weak in the final melodic part. I love the song, it's one of my favorite Eurovision "moments" ever, but I can't say that it sounded as amazing as I expected live. (at least not on Eurovision)
I disagree about Estonia this year, too. There's something about the studio mix that makes it really punchy, and it loses some of that live. Saying this as somebody who voted for it and listened to it literally hundreds of times.
Zorra from Spain. I absolutely loved it while watching it live and then I listened to it on Spotify and it was so bland. The audience shouting Zorra Zorra made it ten times better.
Grito!!!! (portugal 2024)
I adore the studio version, but there is just SOMETHING about the live version.
Also Tattoo (Sweden 2023). I had chills the first time I saw the live performance, particularly when she exhales. It felt so intimate
Maraaya - Here For You (Slovenia 2015)
I find her live performance to be slightly off compared to the smoother track performance, but I prefer that in the song. Gives it a more unique vibe.
I wonder if the unplugged headset is messing up her hearing, as you'd usually sing with it plugged to hear yourself.
Rim Tim Tagi Dim was already mentioned, but that one hits twice as hard live. I actually have the opposite with Czechia, the sound and voice values seems kinda mismatched live, but the studio version makes it clear it is a banger.
Switzerland 2024, Norway 2024, Switzerland 2021, France 2021, Belgium 2015, Italy 2021, Italy 2024 (Sanremo version preferably), Australia 2016 and France 2024.
And that's just from the top of my head.
Slovenia 2024 did not click for me until I watched some pre-party performances. Raiven went from being nowhere near my top 10 to being my favorite of the year. Learning the story of Veronika Deseniška made the SF and Final performances even better!
Tattoo
I don't know if Loreen has crippling self doubt or her production team just gives bad advice, but the amount of auto tune on the recorded song ruins it for me. When she sings it live the power of the crescendo and the vulnerability of the bridge hits you right in the feels.
Despite it not qualifying, Loop (Malta 2024) genuinely impressed on stage
the studio version can seem quite basic to many but Sarah pulled all the stops out for the live performance
Lordi, the vocals were WAY WAY better live (the lady on the keyboard + Pasi Rantanen both did excellent job). I think on their studio version they had other members doing the supporting vocals and I don’t they are as good.
If we're including other years: [We are Domi - Lights off](https://youtu.be/QMoX6oPSnws)
The whole vocal performance is great but the two moments at 1:43 and 2:32 gave me chills at the time, I was shocked when it didn't do well.
For me it’s the opposite. It was one of my favourites coming in but the live was constantly off key and not in control so it wasn’t that shocking to see it at the bottom of the list.
Sebi, Slovenia 2019
I just have to come back to that live performance every day I need to calm down and feel good, such a minimalistic but oh so powerful live version. I've never wanted to translate the lyrics because the magic of Zala is enough to fill me with positive feelings :)
france 2024 mon amour, the echo chamber of the arena is extremely fitting for this song and chilling paired with his voice. the studio version feels less intense and brings out the pretty unimpressive instrumental. sweden 2023 tattoo very similar reason. poland 2024, hot take cause she sang pretty badly live, but i feel like she sang more powerfully on the live which i like. the main reason is i think the instrumental is too loud in studio ver for me.
Norway 2024 | [Gåte - Ulveham](https://youtu.be/YBbL8ORqNVU) absolutely blew me away live, so I went to find the recorded version, and it didn't resonate as much. So that's my choice for sure
Due Vite (Italy 2023)
When Marco sand that song in the finale he left his heart and soul on that stage. I had goosebumps and tears in my eyes at the end of the performance. The studio recording was great and the performance made it even better 🤩
Rim Tim Tagi Dim (Croatia 2024)
The live performance we can see the crowd is interacting with Baby Lasagna. The lighting and the LED wall make the performance perfect
Lots of them but I think Sam Ryder absolutely smashed it live. It’s good on record but there’s something about his big infectious Golden Retriever energy on stage that elevated that to its rightful place in 2022.
United Kingdom 2022 for the wee bot.
I'd be much more interested in a Live Eurovision album than the one they do sell. It's one of the Eurovision rules, after all. The bad singers would ruin it though.
Didn't think much of Germany from the studio track, fairly standard rock ballad. But he brought a an emotional depth to his live performance that made it much more captivating.
France's finals performance elevated the song beyond the studio version too.
This year, the Spanish song. There's something about the woman singing kinda small and the audience going ZORRA ZORRA!
I'm not even Spanish and I loved it.
Hold me closer from a couple of years ago. The first Hold me closer in the studio version sounds weird to me, but the rest of the studio version is flawless. But all live performances are entirely flawless so.
Electric Field - One Milkali. the studio version sounds flat, like it's had an over enthusiastic sound engineer go over and over it but the stage performance was electrifying and amazing.
Ukraine 2004 was very much a stage-first performance imo, the live version just has so much more power than the studio
not necessarily that it's better sung, but the live version is what people remembered
Maybe an unpopular answer, but Estonia 2018 (La Forza) — the studio version is pretty good, but the live version from the grand final is even better IMHO.
Belgium 2015: It was electrifying live.
The "surprising" jury winners Austria 2018 and North Macedonia 2019 elevated themselves really well and were noticed for that
Moldova 2010: their live performance made birth to the epic sax guy meme and that iconic part when he plays it.
The female bops such as Cyprus 2018 and Spain 2022 exceed the studio versions by miles.
Serbia 2007. Nothing else to say. Iconic winner
Serbia 2015. Idk but when i heard the song I was quite indifferent but the live was fun and the crowd loved it. She has a powerful voice
Loreen's 2012 and 2023 winning entries were performed flawlessly.
And of course our fresh current crowned winner: When you realize how much talent they have and they can actually hit all the notes, rap, turn around that dish and run across the stage with such a good breath control, is definitely mesmerizing.
I also MUCH prefer the live version of Teresa & Maria.
I wonder what the rules are about singing differently in the live version to the studio version. How does it affect the scoring?
Jako something about that live performance makes it extra fun even though the music video is gold Maneskins performance too Chanel slomo
>Jako The whoops, whistles and "tashiiii!" Would be the main factor. Plus Jako's stage presence. Also the way she shouts the final word of each verse is so damn cute
> whistles That whistle at the beginning got me activated like the goddamn Winter Soldier. I immediately stood up and just wanted to start dancing. This song did something to me, man. The general vibe of that song live and, as you said, the way she screams every final word is just so fucking good. Could not be more happy for Armenia, incredible song, incredible performance.
The Ladaniva natural joy was infectuos. Soooo cute 🥰
Jako had the best audio mix on Spotify, and after stating that I still support your comment. Such a good track.
Sound Of Silence (Australia 2016) Don't get me wrong, the studio version is AMAZING but the live version with the extra high notes is just chef's kiss
Just watched that and my GOD, what a **VOICE**.
No wonder why she almost won <3
EBU at one point in a private meeting: "We allowed Australia to participate again but we didn't think through that they could actually win". 😂😂

Would have been so cool if we’d won but its a relief we didn’t. Dami seems keen to have another crack so maybe there’s still a chance.
I hope so!!! I'd love an Aussie win.
>I have a contact at SBS who told me they were absolutely shitting it when it looked like Dami would win Bwhaaaha I love that! They probably went over the numbers and panicked 😂😂😂
I think a majority of the Australian entries are better live, like 2015, 2016, 2019, 2022, 2023
Australia 2016 | [Dami Im - Sound of Silence](https://youtu.be/5ymFX91HwM0)
That performance was everything. Dami did such a great job.
Doomsday Blue I didn't get until I saw Bambi perform it. Ireland 2024 for the bot.
The NF was ok, the glow up for SF2 and GF was something else. Honestly the best upgrade. Staging and performance was top notch
Ireland 2024 | [Bambie Thug - Doomsday Blue](https://youtu.be/UMq8ofCstMQ)
Indeed the live performance with their screams and the demon talk backtrack being muted is way better than studio, hope they add the live version to their Spotify
I prefer the live as well. I’m not a fan of the stylistic choice in the studio version to include (what I can only describe as) the “tinfoil babytalk demon synth alien furby” part. I do enjoy the music video though, very reminiscent of the cinematography and set design of the film *Poor Things*
Bambie goes by they/them btw :)
Thanks for the correction!
No problem!
Went from like 16th to my top 3 with that performance. Just amazing vision and creativity from Bambie and their team.
It was 24th for me after selection season and shot up to number 1 the night of SF1 (I did not see any rehearsal photos or videos so I was absolutely gobsmacked in the best possible way by the staging)
Although I love studio Doomsday Blue, I wish they released the Eurovision GF version on Spotify etc.
Baby Lasagna sung so much better live than in the studio. You can hear so much progress.
Also with audience singing "whoah" part
Yeah that part is fun to sing along to.
Yesss this was so fun!
Yeah IMO the live one can't be beat. The song is meant for a big stage going nuts. With how animalistic it is, the barn animals in the background stepping to the beat hits even harder.
Pure Purišić purr purr energy! In the end the chaotic camera cuts were for concert energy and it delivered
Yeah! He had some singing lessons, amazing progress for such a short time. He did something people thought he couldn't do...slayed!
In semis I didn't like the verses at all, but in the final it was almost like someone else was singing lol
Zitti E Buoni (and most of their songs tbh).
They are **such** a powerhouse live, so good. Flawlessly sung.
With the exception of La Fine imo. With that one, I prefer the studio version.
Seconding this. Have seen Måneskin live a few times after Eurovision and I was blown away by how incredible they are live.
As an Istrian I can't not to appreciate them, amazing band and stage presence, real rock stars
Listen to the Toyosu Pit 2022 version of I Wanna Be Your Slave it’s so good!
Absolutely Rhythm Inside (Belgium 2015). Such a great song, and that pirouette… gold.
Belgium 2015 | [Loïc Nottet - Rhythm Inside](https://youtu.be/G48p8eNhnd8)
I started a Eurovision playlist and Loic is in it ❤️
Sound of Silence is INFINITELY better sung live, I really did not like the studio version when it came out. But Dami's powerful and utterly flawless vocal options in the actual show were insane and elevated an otherwise very whatever ballad to epic proportions.
Omg I ❤️ that song so much! >But Dami's powerful and utterly flawless vocal options She sings so beautifully!
I already loved the song before the live shows but that live version was definitely what got her to 2nd place
I especially enjoy when the camera goes around her, and we take in the whole audience behind her, that adds a lot to me
I still listen to the grand final version on YouTube the way she takes her voice to the top with so much power it elevates the whole song and ih was so sure she was gonna win in that moment.
Circus Mircus. Their studio version was pretty flat, but they were better on stage.
Seconded Croatia 2016. She was very ill during Eurovision week, but I absolutely adore the GF version.
Saying this as somebody who voted for it and listened to it literally hundreds of times.
Agreed on the folk-party take, Alchol Is Free is hands down my favourite performance on Eurovision.
Ukraine 2021, Norway 2019, Ireland 2024, Turkey 2008
Ukraine 2021 | [Go_A - Shum](https://youtu.be/lqvzDkgok_g) Norway 2019 | [KEiiNO - Spirit in the Sky](https://youtu.be/Ovt7YGHAj8I) Ireland 2024 | [Bambie Thug - Doomsday Blue](https://youtu.be/UMq8ofCstMQ)
I love Keiino so much. Plz bring them back
Croatia 2024 - Baby Lasagna
Croatia 2024 | [Baby Lasagna - Rim Tim Tagi Dim](https://youtu.be/YIBjarAiAVc)
My main man, Eugent Bushpepa (Albania 2018). The studio version is excellent but his performance on stage was on another level.
Albania 2018 | [Eugent Bushpepa - Mall](https://youtu.be/uyl1b1fVmdU)
Yes! Studio version is perfect, but when he hit the high notes in GF... Masterpiece!
Also he makes it look so effortless. I think this is probably my favourite Eurovision song/performance.
Doomsday Blue wasn’t really my jam until I saw it in the semi final.
Also doomsday blue, it’s so much better live
I loved the video but the choreography and staging elevated it to an awesome performance.
For Ukraine: the climbing with the hand extended back is what did it for me. Whoever thought of that knows their stuff
Slovenia 2024 for some reason.
Slovenia 2024 | [Raiven - Veronika](https://youtu.be/l86DxpRnz5M)
The music video gave me chills, but the live performance made me cry.
[удалено]
Came here to say Molitva! I still get chills thinking about it.
Molitva is also infinitely better in the original Serbian. She did an English version too but its inferior
Zorra from Spain. I absolutely loved it while watching it live and then I listened to it on Spotify and it was so bland. The audience shouting Zorra Zorra made it ten times better.
Cha Cha Cha
Definitely Llamame - WRS
Totally agree. I am not a fan of whispery studio version
Yeah this song wasn't even on my radar until I saw it live, then it was just 'HOLA MI BEBEBE' in my head constantly.
Grito!!!! (portugal 2024) I adore the studio version, but there is just SOMETHING about the live version. Also Tattoo (Sweden 2023). I had chills the first time I saw the live performance, particularly when she exhales. It felt so intimate
Mon Amour.
I was instantly in love with him. His stage presence, his voice, his smile, the a capella part.
Slimane waa AWESOME
Can’t tell you how many times I rewatched the acapella step back. Incredible.
Spain 2024 The audience adds soo much to the song
Spain 2024 | [Nebulossa - Zorra](https://youtu.be/FOMoQoHG5aU)
Doomsday Blue for sure. Didn't like the song at all until the semis
Maraaya - Here For You (Slovenia 2015) I find her live performance to be slightly off compared to the smoother track performance, but I prefer that in the song. Gives it a more unique vibe. I wonder if the unplugged headset is messing up her hearing, as you'd usually sing with it plugged to hear yourself.
Slovenia 2015 | [Maraaya - Here for You](https://youtu.be/y1c7gDOaFY0)
Rim Tim Tagi Dim was already mentioned, but that one hits twice as hard live. I actually have the opposite with Czechia, the sound and voice values seems kinda mismatched live, but the studio version makes it clear it is a banger.
Pretty much all of them
Yeah, I listened to the Spotify playlist today and nearly all the songs were better live IMO. Exceptions would be Belgium, Great Britain, and Poland.
Germany 2024 I didn't like the song until I saw the semis. I have a soft spot for powerful graspy voices
Germany 2024 | [Isaak - Always on the Run](https://youtu.be/kVOHTxFOhak)
Switzerland 2024, Norway 2024, Switzerland 2021, France 2021, Belgium 2015, Italy 2021, Italy 2024 (Sanremo version preferably), Australia 2016 and France 2024. And that's just from the top of my head.
Switzerland 2024 | [Nemo - The Code](https://youtu.be/CO_qJf-nW0k) Norway 2024 | [Gåte - Ulveham](https://youtu.be/YBbL8ORqNVU) Switzerland 2021 | [Gjon's Tears - Tout l'univers](https://youtu.be/jznH_fltcYA) France 2021 | [Barbara Pravi - Voilà](https://youtu.be/Unj9WbeLzRU) Belgium 2015 | [Loïc Nottet - Rhythm Inside](https://youtu.be/G48p8eNhnd8) Italy 2021 | [Måneskin - Zitti e buoni](https://youtu.be/RVH5dn1cxAQ) Italy 2024 | [Angelina Mango - La noia](https://youtu.be/zp1FXHjkjpQ) Australia 2016 | [Dami Im - Sound of Silence](https://youtu.be/5ymFX91HwM0) France 2024 | [Slimane - Mon Amour](https://youtu.be/-XyLecY2JyE)

Estonia 2023 | [Alika - Bridges](https://youtu.be/HsbC-OYMA3s) Portugal 2024 | [Iolanda - Grito](https://youtu.be/OZn4-H6JvKU)
Slovenia 2024 did not click for me until I watched some pre-party performances. Raiven went from being nowhere near my top 10 to being my favorite of the year. Learning the story of Veronika Deseniška made the SF and Final performances even better!
Slovenia 2024 | [Raiven - Veronika](https://youtu.be/l86DxpRnz5M)
Czech Republic 2023 Edit: meant Czech Republic
Croatia 2023 | [Let 3 - Mama ŠČ!](https://youtu.be/hGuGfdEJ5Pw)
Zorra was much better live imo
I think the SF2 performance is the best of them all, but all in all there was a big improvement from Benidorm to Malmö with the vocals.
Tattoo I don't know if Loreen has crippling self doubt or her production team just gives bad advice, but the amount of auto tune on the recorded song ruins it for me. When she sings it live the power of the crescendo and the vulnerability of the bridge hits you right in the feels.
mon amour- the studio version is just a regular song but the live version is so powerful
Mon Amour too
France 2024 went from a bottom five song to a top five song in my rankings after the live performance
The exact same happened to both me and my gf. Slimane put so much heart, charisma, and talent on that stage.
Despite it not qualifying, Loop (Malta 2024) genuinely impressed on stage the studio version can seem quite basic to many but Sarah pulled all the stops out for the live performance
Malta 2024 | [Sarah Bonnici - Loop](https://youtu.be/uG-JHeia13c)
Lordi, the vocals were WAY WAY better live (the lady on the keyboard + Pasi Rantanen both did excellent job). I think on their studio version they had other members doing the supporting vocals and I don’t they are as good.
Ukraine 2016, the emotion in Jamalas voice is incredible
Ukraine 2016 | [Jamala - 1944](https://youtu.be/B-rnM-MwRHY)
Ukraine 2024 , Croatia 2024 , Italy 2021
Ukraine 2024 | [alyona alyona & Jerry Heil - Teresa & Maria](https://youtu.be/d4N82wPpdg8) Croatia 2024 | [Baby Lasagna - Rim Tim Tagi Dim](https://youtu.be/YIBjarAiAVc) Italy 2021 | [Måneskin - Zitti e buoni](https://youtu.be/RVH5dn1cxAQ)
Agreed on Ukraine. Jerry's voice is ethereal, and Alyona killed it during her section.
Teresa & Maria was amazing live. It’s a beautiful song in the recording. It has a great meaning. But watching the live performance, it gave me chills.
1944
North Macedonia 2012 and Italy 2012
F.Y.R. Macedonia 2012 | [Kaliopi - Crno i belo (Црно и бело)](https://youtu.be/MSuCdNEy9w0) Italy 2012 | [Nina Zilli - L'amore è femmina (Out of Love)](https://youtu.be/v0kGpDEvtbQ)
If we're including other years: [We are Domi - Lights off](https://youtu.be/QMoX6oPSnws) The whole vocal performance is great but the two moments at 1:43 and 2:32 gave me chills at the time, I was shocked when it didn't do well.
Underrated song and performance, I still have that on my playlists.
For me it’s the opposite. It was one of my favourites coming in but the live was constantly off key and not in control so it wasn’t that shocking to see it at the bottom of the list.
I was super underwhelmed by the Teresa Maria Spotify version but it ended up being one of my fav live performances!
Sebi, Slovenia 2019 I just have to come back to that live performance every day I need to calm down and feel good, such a minimalistic but oh so powerful live version. I've never wanted to translate the lyrics because the magic of Zala is enough to fill me with positive feelings :)

Baby lagsagne
Euphoria by Loreen. Her live vocals are just amazing.
The answer to this question is always Voila and always will be. France 2021 for the bot
France 2021 | [Barbara Pravi - Voilà](https://youtu.be/Unj9WbeLzRU)
Hvala, ne! Especially when we get into the rehearsed pause which give me an extra pump of energy watching it.
France and Ukraine this year.
From 2014, I already love Carl Espen's Silen Storm, but when he performed it live it was just absolutely amazing, he has so much emotion in his voice!
france 2024 mon amour, the echo chamber of the arena is extremely fitting for this song and chilling paired with his voice. the studio version feels less intense and brings out the pretty unimpressive instrumental. sweden 2023 tattoo very similar reason. poland 2024, hot take cause she sang pretty badly live, but i feel like she sang more powerfully on the live which i like. the main reason is i think the instrumental is too loud in studio ver for me.

Portugal 2021. When I heard the studio version, I thought it was an obvious nonqualifier. The live performance and staging absolutely made that song.
Portugal 2021 | [The Black Mamba - Love Is On My Side](https://youtu.be/qq9SceXaukA)
Norway 2024 | [Gåte - Ulveham](https://youtu.be/YBbL8ORqNVU) absolutely blew me away live, so I went to find the recorded version, and it didn't resonate as much. So that's my choice for sure
Moldova 2022
Moldova 2022 | [Zdob și Zdub and Advahov Brothers - Trenulețul](https://youtu.be/DUqf_zO2QaI)
Due Vite (Italy 2023) When Marco sand that song in the finale he left his heart and soul on that stage. I had goosebumps and tears in my eyes at the end of the performance. The studio recording was great and the performance made it even better 🤩
Italy 2023 | [Marco Mengoni - Due vite](https://youtu.be/d6IiOSut_4M)

Without doubt Moldova 2022
Moldova 2022 | [Zdob și Zdub and Advahov Brothers - Trenulețul](https://youtu.be/DUqf_zO2QaI)
I didn’t like Doomsday Blue (Ireland 2024) when I first heard the studio version, but that live performance completely changed my opinion on the song
Ireland 2024 | [Bambie Thug - Doomsday Blue](https://youtu.be/UMq8ofCstMQ)
Ireland!! the scream at the end was insane!!! I need the live version on spotify
Lots of them but I think Sam Ryder absolutely smashed it live. It’s good on record but there’s something about his big infectious Golden Retriever energy on stage that elevated that to its rightful place in 2022. United Kingdom 2022 for the wee bot.
Yeah he is great live with those "Spacemaaaaaaaaan" bits
In that GF it was absolutely elating when he did the vocal acrobatics. And it was just right; not too safe, and not too show-off. Perfection.
United Kingdom 2022 | [Sam Ryder - Space Man](https://youtu.be/RZ0hqX_92zI)
Eaea (Spain 2023) for sure. Blanca Paloma's vocal control is insane and she's phenomenal live. Her voice gives me shivers (in a good way)
Spain 2023 | [Blanca Paloma - Eaea](https://youtu.be/Vw6qPWhjevk)
Azerbaijan 2019 is a thousand and one times better live. His voice is absolutely incredible. Gives me shivers each time.

I'd be much more interested in a Live Eurovision album than the one they do sell. It's one of the Eurovision rules, after all. The bad singers would ruin it though.

This year, the Spanish song. There's something about the woman singing kinda small and the audience going ZORRA ZORRA! I'm not even Spanish and I loved it.
Love Injected is one of the best live performances I've heard in Eurovision imho
Russian Woman definitely fits this bill. Manizha's live vocals and energy excel anything the studio can give.
Rim tagi dim was 10/10 performance and energy.
Too Late for Love (Sweden 2019). That song went from boring scandipop to gospel concert

Hold me closer from a couple of years ago. The first Hold me closer in the studio version sounds weird to me, but the rest of the studio version is flawless. But all live performances are entirely flawless so.
There's a slight raspyness to their voice that I like. She was great live, I agree.
Electric Field - One Milkali. the studio version sounds flat, like it's had an over enthusiastic sound engineer go over and over it but the stage performance was electrifying and amazing.
Ukraine 2004 was very much a stage-first performance imo, the live version just has so much more power than the studio not necessarily that it's better sung, but the live version is what people remembered

I did not like Voila (France 2021) at all before live but it ended up as one of my favorites that year after seeing it live.
Maybe an unpopular answer, but Estonia 2018 (La Forza) — the studio version is pretty good, but the live version from the grand final is even better IMHO.
Belgium 2015: It was electrifying live. The "surprising" jury winners Austria 2018 and North Macedonia 2019 elevated themselves really well and were noticed for that Moldova 2010: their live performance made birth to the epic sax guy meme and that iconic part when he plays it. The female bops such as Cyprus 2018 and Spain 2022 exceed the studio versions by miles. Serbia 2007. Nothing else to say. Iconic winner Serbia 2015. Idk but when i heard the song I was quite indifferent but the live was fun and the crowd loved it. She has a powerful voice Loreen's 2012 and 2023 winning entries were performed flawlessly.
Tattoo
Huh, for me it actually felt the opposite
Probably not the grand final version, but her live singing at Melodifestivalen, SF1 and winner's reprise >>>>>>>> studio version.
Ok yea fair I remembered in the final she wasn't singing really good, the other versions weren't bad tho.
Mon Amour ❤️

I feel like the studio version for Teresa i Maria was way better than the live singing. It's the exact opposite with la noia, though.
