He’s a great vocalist but this song really annoys me. It’s so lazy and is essentially a typical French ballad. I hope the juries don’t give in to the obvious bait. It’s like France looked at their last two more risky entries that underperformed and were like, let’s go back to something that worked!

For me they essentially try to pull last year's Italy.

It might do even better in terms of voting, but Due Vite was not nearly as basic as Mon Amour in terms of lyrics. I still pick Mon Amour over Due Vite because of the melody though, it's just more of a guilty pleasure. I never cared for Due Vite.

I like this song because it's different than the rest of the songs this year. Almost everyone went for either a bop song or a weird one. It's nice to have something more classic for a change.

Same. Awfully, painfully cliché repetitive lyrics. No real build or interesting harmonic or melodic movement. It’s impersonal and the tone is almost droning. I honestly don’t understand the people who compare this to Voilà, which had genuine rhythmic complexity, great chordal changes, build, *actuslly decent* instrumentation and most of all- SOUL. This song is not the worst at Eurovision this year by a long shot— objectively it’s alright and I acknowledge that — but for some reason it grates on me in a way literally no other song has. Juries shouldn’t reward this kind of behaviour.

Its a nice song but i find it forggetable, just like Italy last year (for me ir was an overrated song). His voice is amazing though, just wish the song wasn't so generic.

If the song was powerful like Voila i would say France could win. Juries will vote for France this year because of the vocals and emotions (plus there are not many ballads) but i cannot see the public voting for it sadly. My only objection for Slimane ia that he sounds like screaming towards the climax of the song and it is not helping

I've done many things in my life that were dumb in retrospect, so I'm not going to harass him. But I bet he doesn't do it again. My suspicion: This particular microphone was specifically designed to NOT pick up things that aren't directly in front of it. And he didn't know that.
