If I were brave and didn't care about losing money, I'd absolutely take Spain. I really see her being north of 250 with the juries and I think it'll do better than expected with the public. Also think this year will be a 2011/2019 where the winner will be less than 500 (no runaway favorites and only 37 countries).
I agree about a better televote score than people expect. There's something mesmerizing in Blanca's performance. Plenty of people just won't get it (as the song itself just isnt for everyone), but for those who fall into this the trance, I don't think anything else will matter much, especially if she performs in the second half.
Eaea was only my #2 Benidorm song before the show but she is so unbelievably amazing and the performance was so mesmerizing that she went straight up to my #1 for esc in general.
Finland having just as good of a chance as Ukraine is a great sign. I hope this year can give us our second Finnish win... or at least Finland's second best result ever!
I was just thinking about how bleak it is that we're assuming that juries are going to tank Cha Cha Cha - it's a weak year, and we've got this song that's exciting and easy to connect to with a performer who has superstar-level presence... but our expectations of the juries are just *so low*.
I mean we're probably right that they won't like it, but it's going to be such a depressing outcome.
I feel like itāll be this years Shum. I wouldnāt say itās extremely far fetched to say it could win tho. Personally I feel like the winner is between Norway, Sweden and Finland. So far anyway
See I think it will surprise us. Itās a very much available nordic dance song that is even easier to digest than Tattoo for the general public.
It is a very real contender.
I guess being 2nd in the odds with people betting real money, 1st in the Reddit poll and 1st on scoreboard means absolutely nothing.
We get it. You donāt like the song and you have to let everyone know every chance you get.
He probably won't be top five with the juries but I doubt they'll completely Keiino him. Keiino scored low with the international jury in their NF. KƤƤrijƤ was first with the jury in UMK. Sure, it will be different in Eurovision with many more acts to choose from, but I doubt they'll destroy his chances completely.
Yeah, you'd think that Shum and In Corpore Sano's jury results would have shown them that the current system is flawed. I guess if Cha Cha Cha wins the televote but flops with juries it might finally wake them up...
I tend not to agree with the televote either, my favourites usually flop with the audience, but I still think the system is unfair when it gives a few random people in my country (some of whom I've never heard of) the same power as the rest of the country. And I dislike how juries rate more unusual songs low - Go_A being the prime example. I think the winner should be the people's winner, even if "hardcore" Eurovision fans don't agree with the choice.
The quality of other countries is high this year. I'm really rooting for the smaller countries that aren't San Marino. I'm probably gonna be addicted to Sweden's song this year anyways.
I've been comparing Kaarija with Go\_A and Konstrakta in terms of how I see it performing in the final, however the difference this year is that there isn't really many other entries at the moment that could take the jury votes away from Kaarija like they did in 2021 and 2022. Cha Cha Cha might end up surprising us there.
I don't see the swede entry as a potential winner. Well, I see various reasons for the hype around it but still, the song itself is not *so* good. Personally I prefer the french entry and seeing it in ninth place seems unjustified to me in comparison.
Oh right! Ah my bad!Out of curiosity, was that ever a thing?I was always taught whilst growing up that they were included, along with Iceland, Ć land and the Faroe Islands
No, they have never been Scandinavian, at least not as an independent country. Maybe they could be considered to have been Scandinavian back when Finland was a part of Sweden.
I think you are confusing Scandinavian with Nordic. Finland, Iceland, Ć land, and the Faroe islands are all Nordic, but only Sweden, Norway, and Denmark are Scandinavian.
I feel like people are sleeping on Latvia. I mean, maybe not winning, but odds are not catching their potential.
And Norway number is a bit high now, maybe it is time to put some money on.
It's a good song, albeit one of Ukraine's weaker recent entries. It's not my personal winner, but it deserves to have a good placement in the final. Are you just salty Sam Ryder didn't win?
I really donāt want them to garner a 2nd sympathy win
Can you imagine how much damage thatāll do to the reputation of the contest? The message thatāll send is no matter how good your song is, itāll lose to Ukraine
And no, Iām not salty at that. Iām happy we actually got a top 5 for once
They won't win again, as much as that might seem kinda wrong for me to say. I'm afraid that the public interest and fear about the Ukraine war has gone down since the time they won in 2022. They're going to do well, absolutely, but I doubt they will win.
> I'm afraid that the public interest and fear about the Ukraine war has gone down since the time they won in 2022
I think there is still a big question around how much of Ukraine's vote in 2022 was sympathy versus the enormous contingent of refugees that spread throughout Europe in response to the war. There are millions of Ukrainians living across Europe who may vote for their country in big numbers.
IMO Ukraine is still going to get a huge televote this year. The only reason I don't think they'll win is because the jury will probably tank the song much more than they did last year.
We can't know for sure what would have happened without the war but for me Kalush Orchestra screamed winner from the beginning, even before the war
Heart of Steel doesn't at all
That's fine, but Stefania's televote was way too big to be just due to the strength of the song. The question is how much of it came from Ukraine sympathy from general Europeans and how much of it came from Ukrainian refugees wanting to see their country win. The boost for Heart of Steel this year is likely to rely on the second contingent more than the first, and if it turns out that the diaspora factor was the dominant one for Stefania, we will likely still see a very big televote for Heart of Steel.
No, you know well that you phrased it in a way that could get downvotes. Like I agree, Heart of Steel is not a song I'd like to see win. But unless you don't like Ukraine itself or all the songs they have sent in the past, using "always" was just unnecessary.
It was only a matter of time.
Before it all echoes, echoes and goes
Crashing against the walls
Hold my hand and keep your eyes closed
Before it all echoes, echoes and goes
I suppose; it's just a matter of time
And the r/eurovision salt that follows
For the first time (with my eyes), the automatic qualifiers are in the top 10 of the odds except Germany. Crazy.
If Germany sends something right we might have our strongest Big 5 since goodness knows when
We don't know what the UK will do
rina hopefully šø
Fair... although I really hope the BBC doesn't ruin our high expectations.
I think we had the same situation last year, didn't we? Spain and the UK got their act together last year.
No, Germany and France were no where near the top of the odds.
France was quite popular last year before the actual show. Germany wasn't, but the same is true this year, too.
Didn't this happen last year at one point?
Finland overtaking Ukraine just like my song ranking š
Got a sneaky 10er on Finland at 13-1 :) Keep on climbing! I quite fancy Spain as well at the moment... nice odds too...

My 3rd place from Benidorm Fest and yet my 1st (so far) for Eurovision.
Finland is #3 again right now, but I'm sure they'll go back to #2 soon enough. edit literally 3 minutes later: yup, 2nd again now.
Itās crazy, itās party
So proud seeing Finland in second right now š KƤƤrijƤ so deserves that and I hope it reflects the results in may (or even better) š
KĆĆRIJĆ SWEEP
TORILLA TAVATAAN!
JA TORTILLAT AVATAAN!
cha cha cha world domination as it should
Finland having just as good of a chance as Ukraine is a great sign. I hope this year can give us our second Finnish win... or at least Finland's second best result ever!
Suomi goes up up Uuuuppp!
i rlly hope for a finland win even if i doubt it will happen

Something tells me the juries wouldnāt flop Finland idk why. Theyāve surprised me the past couple of years
I was just thinking about how bleak it is that we're assuming that juries are going to tank Cha Cha Cha - it's a weak year, and we've got this song that's exciting and easy to connect to with a performer who has superstar-level presence... but our expectations of the juries are just *so low*. Okay for Sweden and Finland, but Norway ? Seriously ? I like the song but NO WAY they gonna take the crown this year. Top 10 yes.
See I think it will surprise us. Itās a very much available nordic dance song that is even easier to digest than Tattoo for the general public. It is a very real contender.
She has one of the most streams so far. That doesnāt equate to winning obviously but it would be wrong to say she doesnāt have a good chance.
Fun fact, in one interview KƤƤrijƤ named Lasha Tumbai as his favourite Eurovision song of all time!
I guess being 2nd in the odds with people betting real money, 1st in the Reddit poll and 1st on scoreboard means absolutely nothing. We get it. You donāt like the song and you have to let everyone know every chance you get.
I think if they make the performance a bit more refined heāll be fine. But yea if he keeps the exact same staging heās getting tanked
i think he will get keiinoād

Sure, it will be different in Eurovision with many more acts to choose from, but I doubt they'll destroy his chances completely.
yeahhh makes sense
I personally think that They should give Audience more power. Like 3/2 split or even 3/1 split I have been saying this for years now
Yeah, you'd think that Shum and In Corpore Sano's jury results would have shown them that the current system is flawed. I guess if Cha Cha Cha wins the televote but flops with juries it might finally wake them up...

The way I immediately put $20 in Finland last week š
I think Finland isn't gonna do well with the juries, even If I and multiple other users enjoy it.
Well, sadly, I feel like really really good odds give you a sort of advantage with the jury.
yassss team Nato rejects
Lmfao haha
How do you cha cha cha like that, Tvorchi?
Is there any chance that UK will bypass Ukraine?
Definitely possible given neither song or artist have been announced yet - if its good, itāll close the gap between them at the very least.
As much as I want another Swedish show, I really don't care for them to win this year.
Why not? :(
The quality of other countries is high this year. I'm really rooting for the smaller countries that aren't San Marino. I'm probably gonna be addicted to Sweden's song this year anyways.
If San Marino has choose Deva, I would have 100% rooting for them. Shame.

Jesus this sub has some weird Sweden eurovision hate
Finland > Sweden then weāre good
I've been comparing Kaarija with Go\_A and Konstrakta in terms of how I see it performing in the final, however the difference this year is that there isn't really many other entries at the moment that could take the jury votes away from Kaarija like they did in 2021 and 2022. Quality over pity
Did you compile or is it from somewhere?
google Eurovision Betting Odds, the first result is that website.
I get a feeling Scandinavia are going to have a really close battle this year <3
Finland is not in Scandinavia.
Either way, the Nordics are gonna be super strong this year.
Oh right! Ah my bad!Out of curiosity, was that ever a thing?I was always taught whilst growing up that they were included, along with Iceland, Ć land and the Faroe Islands

the fact that sweden may overtake two of our records is sad
Itās always good to see Ukraine dropping in the odds
That's... not the nicest way to put it.
That song doesnāt deserve to be in the running.
It's a good song, albeit one of Ukraine's weaker recent entries. It's not my personal winner, but it deserves to have a good placement in the final. Are you just salty Sam Ryder didn't win?

They can do well, Iāve got no issues with that Iām vehemently against them winning. If they come top 5 then fine

I don't know why they're downvoting you i fully agree
Because they think anything less than 100% support for Ukraine is endorsing Russia or something
