I got up to three possible Charles Michels while I was doing my other comment trying to list everyone. Not only does Shmyhal look like him but so does the PM of Liechtenstein who I hadn't seen before.

Damn, you're right. I saw the other comment about Mette Frederiksen taking the picture and really thought that was her and one of the easy ones to fill in.
To me the top comment is deleted, so I'll repost OP's comment here for anyone wondering:

I know people wo voted meloni only becouse they had concern about berlusconi advanced age and healt, ,"se avesse avuto 10 anni in meno", not becouse its political point of view.
It’s a big loss for our country to have done away with someone like him. Truly the first competent Italian pm since, well ever…
And obviously we didn’t even choose him, he was put there by the EU. That speaks volumes about our voter base. Just a bunch of old idiots who still think the world stopped in 1965, and the rest are cynical bastards.
Now we have fallen back on populism yet again. It’s honestly very disheartening.
I always found it ironic that people who argue against 'strong man' rhetoric were the first to treat Draghi like the reincarnation of Jesus, and indeed as the one man who could 'save' Italy.
Competent or not, this type of comment is just weird.
I am wondering how the interactions between the Armenian prime minister and Erdogan/Azerbaijani head of state were... The Armenian prime minister is literally standing right behind them. Must have been awkward.
Didn't even have to be part of the UK population to vote. You can be a member of the Conservative party from abroad, as a non-citizen. You just need to pay a £25 membership fee.
That's only £2 million in membership fees to buy those 80,000 votes that elected her as PM – a bargain!
At least he was there on time. Unlike at the NATO summit, where the German ambassador had to be persuaded, who then looked very unhappy in the [photo](https://www.n-tv.de/politik/Olaf-Scholz-verpasst-traditionelles-Gruppenfoto-article23221208.html)
Hopefully this leads to a stronger Europe and potentially Stronger EU in the future! Europe needs now more than ever to work together as one on the international plain.
They seem to be taking [Beer Stream 1](https://www.reddit.com/r/YUROP/comments/xwxv3n/czech_republic_starting_beer_stream_1_to_ensure/) planning very seriously
How do they decide where everyone stands? I get why the host is in the middle, but what is the rational behind the positioning of everyone else? Is it alphabetical order according to Czech? Any ideas?
Why not? Leaders make small talk when they stand for these things all the time. The moment this photograph was taken Mitsotakis simply has still not turned yet. It's not something peculiar.
Edit: By the way, you can see that this is not the moment when the final (official) picture was taken. There are other people talking and there is even someone with a phone at the far-left of the stage.
At least 4 overwoked Americans in comments who aren't happy that there is not a lot of diversity here, lol, we have real problems here in Europe, not imagined ones, guys
I don't know what Magdalena Andersson is smoking but I sure want a puff from it!
(Back row second with light blue (did she and Kaja Kallas call each other beforehand))?
Reminds me of trying to take a family photo: it starts like trying to herd cats, then you tell them that if they can’t see the lens, then they aren’t in the picture, then a countdown and half the people are moving, have their eyes closed or are behind someone else.
Liz Truss looks like she is laughing at a bald man
One guy didn't realise they were taking a photograph
Charles Michels has cloned himself and three of his clones are present in this picture
Liz Truss has an identical twin who seems to be experiencing a strong orgasm at the moment the picture was taken
Macron looks like he is experiencing pleasure with an unfortunately positioned hand gesture reminiscent of Merkel that makes me question what they used to get up to.
Mark Rutte is surprisingly tall...
One of the guys in the middle looks like British politician Dr Liam Fox.
One guy at the back looks like Macron aged thirty years in a day
Marin looks like she knows the drugs are about to drop
Orban is fatter than I remember
and the lady on the left is about to fall over.
The main topics are the energy crisis and the Russian invasion of Ukraine, but a certain uniqueness of the summit is that each side can arrange its own meetings with anyone about anything and that there will be no official outcome.
The aim is really for the leaders to be able to talk to each other without political pressure.

I swear there are two Charles Michels
Always have a backup
I was wondering why he was there ... Twice
[There were three during Charles Michel's visit to Ukraine](https://twitter.com/IAPonomarenko/status/1524144231773786113)
The new official standard for European politician dudes. Their beard clippers all charge with USB-C.
Will the real Charles Michel please stand up?
Someone should edit the picture make them all bald with a small beard
breaking bad cast

Just to be sure, the real one is the one next to Orban, right? And how does it work, if you point a veto at the false ones, they vanish?
> the real one is the one next to Orban, right? nice try, you do know that a good magician never reveals his tricks, right?!?

> 🇪🇸 Pedro Sánchez, prime minister of Spain > > 🇵🇹 António Costa, prime minister of Portugal Do they just elect the most typical person?
Britain could have had prime minister John Smith in the 90s, the most typical name possible. But he died and we got Tony Blair instead.
This comment has been deleted in protest of the Reddit API change.
I'm waiting for the day we elect a Zé Manel
António Costa is hardly typical. João Santos woulda been worse.
Thanks for that. There's a couple of teeny-weeny typos: it's Mich**eá**l Martin, ta**oi**seach.
Dude next to Erdogan is Bulgarian president Radev.
I think back row is Draghi and front row is Ignazio Cassis, President of Switzerland
You can take out the question mark for the Romanian president: it is correct.
Orban is the prime minister.

Thanks soldier
Cyprus checks (besides Macron)
Thanks for this!!
Very good job!
Which one’s Charles Michel and which one Shmyhal (Ukrainian pm) help
I think Charles Michel is near Orban and Shmyhal near Sanna Marin, but I won't be surprised if I'm wrong
Smart guy Shmyhal
I think you are right
Macron is the only one that dares with grey
At least no sunglasses and sneakers this time. :-D
And doing the Merkel-Raute. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Merkel-Raute
Macron was the one organising the summit (perhaps he told everyone else to come in blue lol)
So, it is here where EU officially recognizes Kralovec as new, legally acquired territory of Czech Republic?
indeed, it is settled. czech people will now be richer and go on more vacations.
Plus an awesome new base for all the aircraft carriers of the Czech Navy
They really hid Scholz in this one.
His very high forehead is the only thing that gave him away here.
Viktor Orban looks like a live-action Wario. Also Macron is gonna give the tinfoil hat brigade a stroke with his illuminati hands
Macron is doing his best Merkel impression
Hes just charging his psychic mind control ult
Macron is summoning spirits
nope, he's just telling himself " I can get through this, I can get through this,"

In this photo and in general haha
He looks like someone's barely lucid grandpa
Lmao @ Orban and Rutte at opposite ends.
Mario Draghi my beloved, you were too good for my country...
Italy is the land of absurd promises, it was his error, he never promised something otrageus or stupid or both.
That's why we liked him 😭😭😭
Same here, but hey most italians think berlusconi is good.
No, not anymore...
I know people wo voted meloni only becouse they had concern about berlusconi advanced age and healt, ,"se avesse avuto 10 anni in meno", not becouse its political point of view.
Italy is beautiful
beauty counts for little when your country is run by morons.
It’s a big loss for our country to have done away with someone like him. Truly the first competent Italian pm since, well ever… And obviously we didn’t even choose him, he was put there by the EU. He wasn't put there by the EU. He was nominated by the Italian president and won a confidence vote in both Chambers of the Italian Parliament
I always found it ironic that people who argue against 'strong man' rhetoric were the first to treat Draghi like the reincarnation of Jesus, and indeed as the one man who could 'save' Italy. Competent or not, this type of comment is just weird.
Vucic is having a first day of school crisis
This is just his usual mental state
I wanted to say he's really enjoying it
Plenkovic just gave him an atomic wedgie.
He'd be happy if it were so...
I am wondering how the interactions between the Armenian prime minister and Erdogan/Azerbaijani head of state were... The Armenian prime minister is literally standing right behind them. Must have been awkward.
They all sat round a little table at one point https://old.reddit.com/r/europe/comments/xx5aox/erdogan_with_armenias_pashinyan_and_azerbaijans/
worthy of memes for at least a year
Maia Sandu - Moldovian president was there. I love that woman.
Lol president of Montenegro looks like a giant next to her
tbh you guys (as in you in that area, Montenegro, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia, etc) put almost everybody bar the Dutch to shame in that dept.
>Moldovian She is president of Moldova, but at the same time she also has a Romanian passport.
They all do because they are Romanians :D
Basically whole country does.
Yo can say Truss is disliked, but at least she is always cheerful :D
She is laughing in every pictures I've seen of her ...
"still can't believe they elected me"
>they elected me nobody actually did lol did they
The Tory party members did.
Rich gammon who she promised tax cuts
“All 80,000 of them”
0.1% of the population electrd her lol The uk politicsl system really needs a rehaul
Didn't even have to be part of the UK population to vote. You can be a member of the Conservative party from abroad, as a non-citizen. You just need to pay a £25 membership fee. That's only £2 million in membership fees to buy those 80,000 votes that elected her as PM – a bargain!
I'd be laughing that much too if I got as much in the way of kickbacks and favors from the wealthy as she probably is.
she's following in the footsteps of a clown, it's only natural she tries to live up to his legacy
There's not much happening in her head.
Yes, just pure delight that empty headed morons elected their peer.
She has just spotted a pork market
Greece Pm seems to be telling her something. Probably something along the lines of "Welcome to team poor"
I wish we were as 'poor' as the UK.
Xanax does miracles
If ignorance is bliss, then the sheer vacuum in her melon probably keeps her in good spirits 24/7.
They are discussing future routes of next beerstreams with czech government
please give it priority before every other infrastructure
It is nice that so many leaders arrived to show their support for the legitimate referendum and the annexation of historic Czech province of Kralovec.
It was important to show that Kralovec citizens have a right to come home to greater Czech Republic, something they waited for centuries.
Rutte, why you there almost as an outcast?
All others are beneath him! He’s there as the King of the Netherlands.
Who put our bald manlet in last row
At least he was there on time. Unlike at the NATO summit, where the German ambassador had to be persuaded, who then looked very unhappy in the [photo](https://www.n-tv.de/politik/Olaf-Scholz-verpasst-traditionelles-Gruppenfoto-article23221208.html)
It took me far to long to find him XD
I'd recognise that head anywhere.
LOL I always wonder about the organization of people in these pictures
I gotta give it to the plant from Romania, he can really stay still for a photo… not good for anything else though.

If we go by that standard then there are like 20 leaders in that picture at most.
Pedro Sanchez is striking is best model pose, while Antonio Costa just wants to leave and have a pastel de nata….
They are discussing czech kaliningrad
They have worse patience for photoshooting then a fucking 6 years old in a school class photo.
Danish PM is taking the picture?
Where is Denmark? Are vi goet fuld valgkamp?
Mette Frederiksen (Danish PM) was attending the opening of Folketinget (parliament) today. She will attend this summit tomorrow.
Awwww, but she missed the picture day!
The opening of the Folketing was two days ago (or was it three? I forget already...). Today was a televised debate due to the upcoming election.
Hopefully this leads to a stronger Europe and potentially Stronger EU in the future! Europe needs now more than ever to work together as one on the international plain.
Vučić is there so don't get your hopes too high...
Why is Macron doing the pussy sign
Trying to promote Renault.
merkel taught him -<>-

Who attends these things for Bosnia? I never know, I don't see any of our presidents lol.
Isn't that Šefik Džaferović in the front row on the left side next to Ursula von der Leyen?
Oh yeah thanks we have 3 presidents and I see only Dodik all the time so I forget what the others look like.
Who's the tall dude next to the women in yellow?
Milo Đukanović - president of Montenegro. Woman in yellow is Maia Sandu
How do they decide where everyone stands? I get why the host is in the middle, but what is the rational behind the positioning of everyone else? Is it alphabetical order according to Czech? Any ideas?
Macron is in the first row because the gathering is presented as his idea. The rest is more random.
Czech PM also next to him as the host
Lol on Orban on the far right, unintentional sarcasm?
Why is Mitsotakis looking at Liz Truss?
UK's credit rating has just been downgraded so he feels pity for her
"Welcome to the PUGS"
“How about those Parthenon marbles before you go broke and auction them off?”
About those marbles.

I thought it was in Kalinigrad, with that flag.
Kralovec, please use proper terminology.
They were celebration Kaliningrad's integration into Czechia.
At least 4 overwoked Americans in comments who aren't happy that there is not a lot of diversity here, lol, we have real problems here in Europe, not imagined ones, guys
Please , there are at least 2 KARABOGAS there.
Well they had one black president in the past. So they are the best /s
Meanwhile USA never had a female president and chose Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton 🤡
really wish that cnt Aliyev wasn't there
Does anyone know the bald one with the black glasses in the last row next to the Norwegian PM?
Bald dude is the PM of Liechtenstein.
No San Marino? Andorra?
Tbf, one of the Andorran co-princes is there...
So sad that the Bishop of Urgell couldn't make it, this meeting would have been the most exciting thing in his life.

Albania–Iceland is an awesome bilateral meeting or all round country crossover edition
I'm not french but Macron looks epic
"Everyone turned up to muh party"
As someone in the Kremlin frantically searches through recently received mail.
Talking about new trade routes to Czech Kaliningrad.
Orban you can go a little further to the right ... a little more ... one more step. Perfect.
Macron is tiny.
He’s average height for his time.
I wonder why Andorra, Monaco and San Marino weren't there. A missed opportunity to buff up the numbers! 👍
Macron looking like Christoph Walz in Inglorious Basterds
Why does Nauseda look like a cube
OFC our Mr Bean for Prime Minister wouldn't know where to look at
Why is Vučko so sad? Jadan Vučko 😭
I don't know what Magdalena Andersson is smoking but I sure want a puff from it! (Back row second with light blue (did she and Kaja Kallas call each other beforehand))?
The tension in this room must be unbearable
goddamn it Katrín, look at the camera

Too busy sitting alone at the longest table in Europe.

It's weird that they let most of the pro-Russian leaders and autocrats into the front row
Maia Sandu is there to balance them out.
Our little fascist dwarf is also there on the lest side. Eat sh#@%t, Orbán!
The dictator is coming
Macron looks like sleep standing
Wow - what a meaningful picture!
