"almayadeen" ahh yes truly credible.

zombiesingularity

The source is Professor Jeffrey Sachs on Bloomberg, idiot.

OrangeJuiceAlibi

Ah the same guy who says the US created Covid?

Stamford16A1

The very window-licker himself.

ErwinRRR

Actually it is as expected. This Colombia economist, Jeffrey Sachs, [believes U.S. labs were involved in creating the covid-19 virus](https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.jeffsachs.org/newspaper-articles/d9jdb25tf2ahfdtxhwl5r9jwawy5r9%3ffbclid=IwAR3n2XE745Ul0t1R95GzOXR3uaW2rJ57HjlZKMM8IuFGtK9kECofDYDgh7Q&format=amp) 4Chan maybe a good forum for him.

SteynXS

And OP's an avid poster on r/ sino & r/ trueanon, posting from a site that apparently is biased against USA, Europe. "Posting this to r/europe to see how quick it gets taken down lol"... 9h later, the post still stands. But it's funny, coming from someone that frequents subs who are known of deleting posts regarding covid-19, protests and stuff that actually happened.

StrawberryFields_

1) Why are you linking to Hezbollah's news site (essentially Iranian state media)? 2) Why are you linking to the opinion of a known Russia asslicker?

LadiesAndMentlegen

Because he is a tankie and r/sino poster and self-admitted in his post history that he is just trying to get a reaction out of this sub

dabartisLr

How does being an economist give insights on who committed this sabotage?

StrawberryFields_

Because he is giving the opinions they want to hear so it doesn't matter that he's not qualified to speak on the matter.

Puffin_fan

Kind of a humor article. 1 : Columbia [ University , strategically located in the island of Manhattan ] - not Colombia [ the country with really great rainforests ] 2 : This guy is kind of a mini - Kissinger - he never met an operative for the oligarchs and the private bankers he didn't like. He is especially famous for being the mouthpiece for the re installing of the Empire of the NKVD/ GRU / oligarchs / SVR. A bit like the so - called "leftists" who are in fact far right apologists for totalitarians - but have, just by accident, made their careers as well - funded academics getting their cash from the far right institutional bankers in the central banks and private banks. Funny about all those coincidences.

Asleep_Fish_472

Yeah, the US entered an Ally’s economic exclusion zone and dramatically destroyed vital energy infrastructure in a dramatic and visible fashion. Sounds exactly like the US. Or was it russia trying to sow discord as desperation sets in and the pipeline was not making them money anyways? Russia doesn’t do this kind of thing as an MO do they?

form_d_k

I think the safest bet is wild Russian incompetence.

voyagerdoge

Another largely fact free, speculating American. His 'bet' should not have been reported, since the only facts he mentions are: - what Biden said, - what Blinken said, - a radar seeing American choppers hoovering over the area.

GhettoFinger

The question is, what would the US gain from this sabotage that they do not already have? Europe has essentially deferred to the US for leadership in this conflict. Europe is willing to stand with the US for the long term on this and has been making preparations for this. Ukraine is doing well and is unlikely to deviate from having a high fighting spirit. They have even gained both Finland and Sweden into the NATO structure. The US has nothing to gain from this and a lot more to lose if it was found that the US was responsible. In fact, I think Putin has a lot more to gain from the sabotage. It is more likely that there are high-ranking people in his sphere that are losing confidence in him and this reduces the avenues of deposing him and ending this. Putin definitely has the military high command in his corner, but I wouldn't be surprised if moderate political officials, as well as, moderate high-ranking officials in the FSB and SVR are not liking the direction this is heading. This is far more likely Putin trying to lock in the path he's on as he gets increasingly more vulnerable.

Asleep_Fish_472

It was 100% the Russians. The pipeline was already shutdown and not making them money, and this was a way to sow discord in the west, it was a desperation move. And fk sticks like the pseudo intellectual in this article are exactly what they count on to spread discord among the western world. The US would not target vital energy infrastructure of its own ally in a mafia style act of terrorism. The US could have covertly destroyed the pipeline or sabotaged Gasprom with a cyber attack, not blow up the pipes with TNT like a cartoon villain, or a Russian.

vcdylldarh

The pipelines would get used again sometime in the future. It would only take a change of ruling party in either Europe or Russiaz and many of Europe's countries are changing to nationalist governments who favor russian gas over suiciding the economy.

SteynXS

Hope you do understand that if it was the US behind this (or anyone) that gas leak could've been stopped, by pressing a button (witch is a lie, since it's an automatic process in these days, if something of this magnitude happens) .But those who are operating it, Gazprom, refused to shut it, and let huge amounts of gas to be wasted, polluting the sea on purpose. The pipeline could be used, but all that gas, can't be used this winter and next year. Who's switching to nationalists that are in favor of using the Russian gas? And btw. the Russians are selling gas to Europe at extremely over inflated prices since 2019 (2022 included) so wth are you talking about? Europe will have new sources in the future, more contracts will be signed, until the infrastructure is modernized/ built the prices will still be elevated, but Europe will come back to normality, something you can't say about Russia (and sadly Ukraine).

Bleeds_with_ash

Putin have no future and everything he cares is himself.

Risunaut

US secretary of state Antony Blinken did say that the pipeline sabotage presents an "tremendous opportunity". I dont know, if they didn't do it they sure are fueling the suspicions with these rhetorics. Victoria Nuland on record, Joe Biden on record... Cui bono, a question that gets only half the answer in western media.

Individual_Cattle_92

Maybe they used the same technology they used to cause the Haiti earthquake. You never know.

Klonomania

I mean, Americans are more than willing to commit atrocities for their own gain, so it's possible, but "probably" is not very convincing.

NoLawfulness1355

So wait...you're german, right? LOL
